  1. toxic orb facade is not a good idea on any pokemon that´s not guts or toxic boost. flare blitz with life orb and sheer force does more damage than you´ll ever need and the recoil doesn´t matter that much, since darmanitan isn´t meant to stay forever anyways.
  2. I like it much better now. Only four points: - I think dual screen Rotom works better they way you had it in the beginning, with Thunderbolt over Will-o-Wisp. (Alternatively one could go with a set of Hydro Pump, Thunderbolt, Will-o-Wisp and Pain Split, but that wouldn´t work as well with your set-up mons.) - Life Orb on Greninja is much better in my opinion. The difference in damage isn´t that big, since Greninja has relatively low special attack (e.g. the difference between 1.3 x 0.1 and 1.5 x 0.1 is much smaller than the difference between 1.3 x 1000 and 1.5 x 1000). - Garchomp is kinda weird on the team. I think there are much better options. (Edit: Is that the Garchomp I traded you as a Gible? If so: I changed my mind, my little lady is the most important part of your team - definitely 100%) - I wanted to take a break from trading, but I think I can make one exception: I have a shiny Riolu with Meteor Mash and pretty good IVs. Interested? Anyways, just some ideas. I understand if you don´t feel like changing it anymore.
  3. I mean "not allowed" is highly subjective in a game that you don´t play competitively against others, meaning you can basically "allow" stuff and design rules as you please. But yes, I think you are right: most of the mods are very widely accepted and indeed a very good way to change the games difficulty! Oh, and one addition @Jiok I think what makes the main battles of Reborn frustrating (to some people) is the "advantage" given to the gym leaders/pulses etc. through field effects (and access to better pokemon in the case of trainer opponents). To turn this from frustation to challenge I think it might be helpful to "spy" a little on the gym leaders (and other important opponents) and look up their team and field effect beforehand. The Reborn Wiki http://pokemon-reborn.wikia.com/wiki/Home is a good resource to do so. I personally don´t use this resource, but my process is quite similar: 1. I start an uninformed battle to gather as much information as possible and look at the field notes 2. I device a strategy with the pokemon available to me that I think might work 3. I test the strategy in a second battle 4. I either win or I lose but gathered new information to adapt my strategy - either way it´s progress and as such it´s not frustrating. (Should your friend be a friend of science: This is basically the Scientific Method in action) Edit: For some reason in recognizes my text as part of the link and I´m unable to change that...
  4. While for some of us the challenging battles play an important role in why we like Reborn, others don´t enjoy them and would rather focus on the story. And I think it´s important to respect that and to not force our view of the game onto them (I´m not suggesting that´s what you are doing to your friend, I just meant it in a general way). As such I think wonder trading or specifically asking for pokemon here on the website (there are a lot of members eager to help out if your friend is looking to trade for "stronger" pokemon) are wonderful ways to dive into the story without worrying about grinding up your pokemon or thinking of strategies to beat opponents. Alternatively you could explain to your friend that "good" pokemon not being obtainable early on, is the games way of pushing you to use pokemon you would never use otherwise. I for example always thought of Scrafty as mediocre. Now I love him, because he carried me through half the game.
  5. I don´t think you need Ice Pokemon. The hail there should be enough to revert it to snowy mountain after three turns.
  6. Your post mentions Dratinis twice instead of the Electrikes
  7. Did you give the roselia rose incense to hold? Budey is a baby pokemon, most baby pokemon require incenses.
  8. The weather is not important here. This link lists a number of moves that change the terrain: http://pokemon-reborn.wikia.com/wiki/Snowy_Mountain
  9. Fennekin 100%. Typing, movepool, stats and hidden ability (not that you should use it) are better - so pretty much everything about it is superior... even the design.

    LF Poipole

I don´t understand these Poipole requests. You can get exactly 1 Poipole per safe file and that´s it. Who would spend their time collecting 731 pokemon to then proceed and give Poipole away for another Pokemon. If someone got Poipole, they don´t need "anything in particular", because they already have everything. And then your addition "no shinies"... Why not? Are your shinies too valuable to give them away for the rarest thing in the game? Anyways, to stop the rambling and maybe be somewhat helpful: I´ve seen people give away their Poipoles, so it´s not entirely impossible. Should it not work out for you/should you not be willing to wait longer (as indicated by your duplicate trading threat), I can suggest the mod market as a way to find a mod to add Poipole to your game: http://www.rebornevo.com/forum/index.php?/forum/76-the-mod-market/
  11. No, it doesn´t require any additional actions, as far as I know. Does your Itemfinder indicate that an Item is around?
  12. May I ask why you don´t want your Lucario to have Meteor Mash? Steel is not the best offensive typing, but high base power + STAB certainly makes up for that. Does this team work for you? I feel the damage output is a little small, frail little Lucario is your only set-up mon - and he doesn´t really work as sweeper without his Mega. I think Dragon Dance Charizard would work wonders, especially considering you´re running dual screen Rotom-W. Regarding items, I fee like wise glasses, garchompite, gardevoirite and muscle band are much less usefull than life orb, leftovers and choice specs.
  13. Ya, I was by no means suggesting to use the mons I mentioned. I just wanted to illustrate what mons 'could' fill the roles, so that you get an idea of what the roles should look like.
  14. Sure, just pick your favorite and we can trade.
  15. https://pokemonshowdown.com/damagecalc/ You can input level, IVs and EVs here to find out the base stats of your Gourgeists. That will at least tell you which ones ARE in the game.
  16. Well, if you add Blissey and/or Skarmory, you´re going to sit there all day. And especially in fights with field effects, stall doesn´t really work, since the damage output is just too big. Defensively, the Toxapex/Tangrowth core is very good and pretty much all you need. Concerning offense, you´ll probably want 1-2 sweepers, that can double as wallbreakers (good bulk, very good offense, mixed-offensive typing and a good set-up move). For the Sweepers to do their job, you should also add one dedicated wallbreaker (same stat distribution but choice item (specs or band) instead of set-up moves). Lasty you should add something to handle fast opponents (very high speed, good offense, choice scarf (if you have it, alternatively speed boosting ability like sand rush)). Example: - toxapex - tangrowth - sweeper 1: tyranitar (dragon dance) - sweeper 2: volcarona (quiver dance) - wallbreaker: medicham (choice band) - cleaner: excadrill (sand rush) This is by no means a top level team, but it kinda illustrates the basic idea of this kind of team composition. On a last note: I´m not fully convinced, that defensive cores are the way to go in-game. I had much better success with offensive teams.
  17. As far as I´ve seen, someone traded you one already, correct?
  18. Sure, just tell me when you´re ready.
  19. That could work. Just quote or mention me in a post when you are back, so I get a notification.
