Lol, I wrote a paragraph earlier. But for the most part I'd be fine. Why you might ask? Because it's not Mega Pinsir who would be WAY worse in any flying type field. It would also be a pretty good challenge who'd I'd have fun against. But, Mega Salamence as a mega is to easy to think of. How about Mega Pidgeot? Btw, did a calc, and check this out. 1+ (Field effect) 252 ATK Aerilate Salamence-Mega Double-Edge vs 252 HP/ 4 def Gigalith 166-196 (44.3-52.4%) So it has a chance to do half to one of the bulkiest physical tanks in the game right now. DEFINITELY a challenge, but not unbeatable. So I guess I'm fine with Megamence. Came up with flying type field:

1. Electric Oricorio could work on the team giving an electric neutral. Even though Gliscor gives an immunity. But Oricorio doesn't really have anything to do in return to the electric pokemon it would switch in on. It would rely on hidden powers for the most part, and a 60 base power move, combined with it's mediocre special attack isn't much. Salamence and Dragonite are always an option lol. 2. Togekiss can die. 3. Gyarados with Z-bounce is DEFINITELY possible. 4. Xatu is useful for magic bouncing hazards, although I think the field will be something like: "The winds blew the stealth rocks to the other side of the field/away!" 5.Hawlucha has been used already but it's definitely possible to destroy the ice and fighting weakness. Along with Crobat, Noivern, and Aerodactyl for shenanigans like tailwind, toxic, etc. Special Crobat is always an option.

Talon better have an Aerodactyl after getting turned to stone. But in all seriousness, I think a good flying team would be: Skarmory, Aerodactyl, Gliscor, Staraptor, Rotom-F, Archeops/Talonflame

So I'm pretty sure the next leader is flying type? Have we seen a field effect that really helps flying types? (Before you bring up mountain field, Talon is one of GDC's Gym leaders, so chances are, there are no mountains in that city. We also fought Amber on a mountain and I doubt Jan would have us fight there again. Then there's also that stupid Eli and Sharon fight...,) Thinking on it, I've only seen one field effect that directly helps flying types, and that was in Desolation (f that fight btw, complete booty)

Well dang. But I hope you're right. Because right now her team can REALLY be capitalized on. But if they have specific roles, it makes sense. I'll check out their dex entries later to see what they could possibly do. w h e r e d o I g e t a t y r a n i t a r

Figured. Just seemed like you forgot about it by the way the story went on kind of just ignoring it after the Dimensional Rift Gyarados, thanks for the clarification.

That makes sense. It just seems like Jan forgot about it all together, rather then making, or at least implying a reason these two things aren't relevant anymore.

"Senketsuken" isn't relevant at all, seeing as, it was only used to kill your mother. This might seem big, but she kinda had the god of death flying next to her, so somebody wasn't going to make it out alive... EDIT: So did Jan forget about Melia being a Normal Pre-Leader? And her Togepi with "Alpha Metrenome". (Seeing as it's not on Togekiss' moveset)

I hope V9 is the version where Ren gets to shine, and start to develop as a character. Because remember, he IS our rival. Melia certainly isn't doing a good job at it... I can't wait to see how Bladestar and Ren/Nastasia react to each other, although, I don't think there will be a HUGE reaction or war-like scenario, considering Team Xen doesn't have as much presence there, but it's going to be wild to see how it goes down. Especially if you chose to not expose Flora (me! :]), because now you're working with Bladestar and you're Flora's "sidekick" (and remember, Flora has a lot of presence in Bladestar) Dang. V9 is going to be crazy.

I mean, I'd make some sort of distinction. Maybe take the flower off, and add darker colors for male? It doesn't matter that much, I just found it odd. (This isn't to bash the shinies in anyway if that's what anybody was thinking, I just found it a bit off putting and wondered if there were any possible gender variants)

I agree with the psychic healer in GDC. But, I think it's a bit of an odd combination for a flying type E8 member to have connections to the Garufa. A tribe which dealt with stuff like dark magic. Now I think Karen could potentially be a ghost type E8 member. But her color scheme, or clothing doesn't say much to allude to it. But regardless of all of this, we won't have to worry about battling Crescent for a while.

Unlikely that she's the psychic E8 member. We have Karen who definitely takes the cake for that. (I also hate to be that guy, but, Mewtwo in any psychic aiding field would be hell. I'll assume Gothitelle will be like level 300, or have increased base stats, and with the last two psychic type pokemon, and the name of "Crescent", I'll assume Cresselia is on her team as well, which is just overkill. This isn't to imply the E8 should be easy, but Mewtwo, Godthitelle, and Cress (Presumably) in any psychic boosting field would be kinda wild, and overall overkill)

Not the feminine color scheme, or a pretty feminine Pokémon. Just it's a bit odd running into a male pokemon with a flower on it's head, combined with the feminine color scheme. Then again, Vileplume is a giant flower thing. So there's nothing wrong with it. Just my opinion on it

Is the Mienshao shiny going to have the flower for female AND male? I don't want to trigger somebody with my oppressive social norms, but it puts me off a bit
