  1. "Hello fellow mage! Must discuss magic later, for it is our fate as fellow pioneers of MAGIC! But for now, be amazed at this performance and blow our enemies away!" Move to O12 perform for Viola
  2. "Oh? Alright then. Know this! I do not offer you freedom, I offer you the choice of freedom! Up until now, you didn't have a choice! Now that we have freed you we have given you the choice to fight for yourself! THE CHOICE TO ESCAPE! If there is something out there, something that inspires you to leave, something greater! Think of that! Think of that something! Does it not call to you? Reach out for it, the only way you will reach it is by getting up now and leaving! Follow after us if you dare, but know that there is no shame in..." Vivi's expression was becoming more and more irritated and she broke character even if only for two sentences. "Actually there is a lot of shame in staying behind you're in a prison for goddess's sake and we're letting you out just hurry up and escape! I'm unarmed and yet I'm escaping and so is that maid so what excuse do you have, jeez!" Vivi then relocated, and moved behind the rogue repeating her usual routine. "Let's go my cloaked friend, open the way to the gardens of wonder! The skies of delight! The one and only end for us, freedom!" Move to O16 perform for Zent
  3. 29th of First Heat The party continued on, but it was rather uneventful. It played like a normal party, and passed in a flash of food and music. The next day, early in the morning a messenger came, waking everyone and gathering in the main hall. Everyone gathered, either drowsy or fully awake to see Sol'Fael, brimming in his self confidence standing at their doorstep. "Wow there really aren't many of you, it's impressive you made it to the capital!" He mused for a moment. Then he coughed and placed his hands behind his back. "Congratulations Terrin Son of Lady Aisha, Hoshiko the Righteous Daughter of idou Ishikawa. You have done something I thought was impossible, move both my wives into action and disregard the senate's advice. I am here to present to you the terms in which Caelum will aid your war effort." He paused for a moment to allow for any celebration. "To those who don't know me, I am Sol'Fael one of the pillars that holds up this country, and we are going to get well acquainted in the next few months. There are conditions to this deal, and they not negotiable. First, you will all accompany me North to Yukihana, and find the sources of the... Animated corpses. If there truly are any soldiers of the dead, which I highly doubt, then I am more than equipped to find their source. I am studied in various magics, second only to one of my own wives in this country. We want to keep this secret though, so instead of traveling with my own guards I will travel with all of you. If you can get from Dragao to Caelum, I'm sure you all can survive a few snow bandits and wolves. Now for the second clause," He gestured to a guard, and this guard left and came back bringing in the girl that Ecquis met at the party the previous day. "This is Lina Daughter of Anwar. Like many people of Caelum sadly, her home is currently under attack. She will go with us to Yukihana on this mission, and on our return we will free her lands as well as all of the lands Dragao has taken from Caelum. For Caelum to help Queen Saffron, we need her help first. The third and final clause, is the simplest one: after Queen Saffron is in power, she and her people will never raise arms again against the people of Caelum. We hope that it will be the beginning of a very fruitful alliance. In return, we promise to lend men in the war effort, and funding. This is... As soon as we acquire it." He sighed. "Politics in Caelum are slow, so we can not promise either one immediately. While I am out with you all, my wives will convince the senate that this is a good course of action. They might have a harder job than fighting animated corpses, trust me when I say that. But they are determined to help, and so am I. You have my word as Sol, that Dragao will be freed with Caelum hands it will just take time. These are your conditions, do you accept them?" "There is nothing to discuss, we accept your terms. Thank you for this Sol'Fael, I look forward to fight beside you." "Oh I will not be fighting! I uh, while I am armed with a sword and know how to use it I will not be endangering my life! I apologise if that may come off as arrogant, but if my life ever comes in danger I will run. However, I am trained as a healer and won't run from someone in need. I am however counting on you to protect me, for the benefit of a long and profitable future between us."
  4. "Heal?" Keagan brought a hand under his chin as he thought hard about it. "I don't need to heal, I've got everything I need with Saffron and Feri, and I'll have everything I want once Roswell is dead. I've never been truly alone, so I guess our experiences are different. But I don't think either of us are alone right now, and that's what matters. We've got allies who support us. And more importantly, we support them."
  5. Vivianne walked in between the prisoners, and spread out her arms. "Friends, it is I the Great Vivi The Awe-inspiring. I have come to grant you the two things your heart most desires. A touch of magic, and the sweet release of FREEDOM!" As she said freedom sparkles flew out of her hands with short pops as they lit up like tiny little fireworks. "So go! Run to your hearts desires! Escape and know that this brave group has saved your lives, but you owe us nothing! NOTHING! For the simple act of knowing that your lives are safe is payment enough for our souls. Experience the sweet and juicy taste of FREEEEEDOM!" Move to L15 and talk to the prisoners
  6. "Don't be mad because of what he did to me, be mad for what he did to Saffron." Keagan put his hand on the table to steady the glasses. "That was her home more than it was her, and it's her right to rule Dragao. She will be a good Queen I know it. So we have to fight for her, our feelings come second." He paused, as if he was unsure if he should say it or not. But he went ahead and said it. "But if I get the chance, I'd like to be the one that ends him."
  7. "I do not. My earliest memories were of Dragon's Nest, Roswell left me in the palace while he lived in a manor in Long Garden. Unlike Saffron, I am not a Dragao. I am Keagan Pyre, and yet Saffron and Feri never treated me any different."
  8. "Given what? My father is a mad king, and my mother is probably a tavern keeper somewhere. Don't know, Roswell never told me." He said bluntly. "The only person with more reasons to hate Roswell is Saffron, but she is incapable of that. So I am Roswell's number one enemy."
  9. "Saffron and Feri are all the family I have and family is everything. I'll do anything to protect them." Keagan's expression was as serious as it could be, determination for his cause burning in his eyes.
  10. "I've always had more muscle than class anyways." He remarked as he toasted with Meredith. He drank his drink and filled it up again. "I wanted to go to the meeting with Saffron, stay by her side and protect her. But Feri told me that I would have to speak and... That's not really my strong point." --- "I supposed you are right. I just wish it didn't happen so suddenly." She sighed deeply and relaxed her posture. "The way they looked at us... I think it might be easier to fight General Garbhan's elite than to trade glares with Lua'Magi. I can't thank the both of you enough, you two aren't even from Dragao and you are fighting so hard to help me protect it. Thank you."
  11. "I'm sorry dear, it's just important that these folks meet some nice Caelum locals! I wouldn't want them to leave our country thinking ill of us!" --- At the punch bowl, Keagan is standing there with a cup in his hand looking about as awkward as Meredith herself. Instead of his usual armor he wore simple dress clothes. "Hello." Keagan greeted Meredith. He was silent for a bit, and as awkwardly as his greeting he spoke again. "Nice weather." --- "Ya know, the food isn' anywhere near as good as Ecquis promised." Cherry said stuffing her face with cakes. "You're still eating it anyways." "Of course I am pipsqueak you can' waste food. But I've stolen better is all I'm sayin'"
  12. "I gave him a box of wigs, he was an old balding man and I handed him a crate full of wigs." Anna Clara giggled at the happening as if it was nothing. "Although, after I apologised when I was sober he came back later and bought one of the wigs so I still made a profit! Let's go get some food though, even if you guys don't want some I'm starting to get hungry." Anna lead the group closer to the table of food and grabbed herself a slice of cake. "Oh right feel free to mingle with party guests! We've got some esteemed guests from all over the place! Like uuuh... This girl over here!" Anna grabbed a random girl near the food table. --- The Ignis looked into Terrin's eyes and sighed. "Would you mind leaving? Thank you very much for all you've said now there is much for me and my spouses to discuss." "We haven't gotten an answer though we still have a lot to discu-" "I am sorry, but this meeting is over. We will send our answer to you after we've decided for now we must decide." The Ignis said sternly. On cue, guards opened the doors and escorted Terrin Saffron and Hoshiko out and the doors shut with a large 'clang' leaving the three in silence and confusion.
  13. Both Sol'Fael and the Ignis raised an eyebrow. "I was with you until about the dead coming back to life. Animated corpses and flame lizard huh?" He looked excited before but now he simply looked disappointed. "And here I thought you had some true stories to tell." "Fael, do you remember the reports from a few months back? From the borders with Yukihana." "Oh don't tell me you believe this story about corpses coming back to life to attack soldiers? Aren't you supposed to be the skeptic? "Months ago, Caelum soldiers spotted shambling soldiers entering our deserts." Lua'Magi addressed the three guests ignoring her husband. "They came from Yukihana, some of them were missing limbs and were incredibly aggressive. Reports stated that even after being killed once they would come back over and over again. I interviewed those Caelum soldiers and I don't think they were lying, just like the look in your eyes now tells me that you aren't lying either." "Are you lying?" Ignis'Efari spoke for the first time, to the surprise of her two companions. "Yes I am disregarding tradition, but I am doing it to understand if this is a threat or not. If any of you are lying, you will confess right now." --- "Of course I do dear! There was this one time while Ecquis was sleeping that I tested a new product out on him, it was this new type of candy from a far off continent. So I put some on his mouth during the night to see if it was safe to eat, the next morning he was fine but his tongue was rainbow colored. All day everyone was laughing at him and he couldn't understand why, it was hilarious."
  14. Well if you care about fighting games this answer should be pretty simple since both games are incredibly different. Injustice 2 is more neutral based, but the meta game is very geared towards zoney projectile characters. Mix ups rely a lot on oki and setting up resources. MvCI is based on stupid absurd mix ups and set ups to make the other person not play the game, with very little neutral. If none of this makes sense, then just buy Injustice 2. It's the better game in pretty much every regard. If you want to play either of these games for the story, then again: INJUSTICE 2. + Injustice 2 has the mother fucking teenage mutant ninja turtles. Who doesn't want to play as TMNT.
  15. "And if he hadn't saved me that day I would have been vulture food!" "What a shame that would be am I right?" "Would you dearies like any food? It's all free, it's a party after all. Beatrice will be down soon, and she'll be thrilled to see you Anna Marie I'm sure. And you'll get to finally meet her Ecquis!"
  16. Lua'Magi was appalled and was taken aback for a few beats. "We are strong on the defense, our walls haven't been broken since the founding of this country. If you do not know the first thing about strategy then don't you dare spe-" "Now, now calm down Magi, she may have been harsh but she speaks the truth." "Do you value anything she says!? Some savage from a land of ice and-" Lua'Magi was once again interrupted this time by the Ignis who snapped her fingers and glared at Magi. The glare alone was enough to silence her. Sol'Fael took this as his chance to speak. "Hoshiko the Righteous, Daughter of Idou Ishikawa. Your words are blunt but true, I think our Ignis agrees with me on this." Ignis'Efari simply nodded. The Sol continued. "Ignis is the same Goddess you worship. She cares for all of us, and she would think us unworthy if we could simply turn our eyes away. But tell me, who are you to lead proud Caelum soldiers. What have you done, are you worthy yourself of being the hero that Dragao needs? Is Terrin Son of Lady Aisha worthy? Is Saffron Dragao Daughter of King Brandon and Future Queen of Dragao worthy? Are any of your allies worthy of fighting alongside our men? Or even fighting for our cause?" Sol'Fael stated all this rather poetically. It didn't seem like he wanted an answer. However he was clearly interested, while Lua'Magi was fuming ready to burst at any moment. "This might changing topics, but I'm curious. What truly is it like outside of Caelum? What have you faced to arrive here?" --- "I already said it was his fault he died not mine..." Anna mumbled. "Oh! OH! Ecquis!" Anna Clara hugged her friend, rather tightly too. Up until this point she had been completely unaware of everyone around Anna Marie. "It's been so long! Were you traveling with this stinking sister of mine? Are these your companions? Have you grown dear? Oh Ian is here too, hi Ian!" "It's nice to hear your voice again Clara." Ian said in his typically stoic voice. "My, my this is quite the pleasant surprise! Just what I needed after such an awful reunion."
  17. Saffron smiled at Terrin's speech, clearly happy to hear the compliments. But Lua'Magi spoke and her expression however only worsened. "This was is foolish indeed, but it is of no concern to us. Currently, Caelum is winning. Never once in it's history has Caelum lost a war, and it won't be under our rule. Yes our soldiers are dying, but each Caelum soldier that dies takes 100 from Dragao with them. They die proudly knowing that they defend their families back home. Now if we marched our armies into Dragon's Nest we would surely kill King Roswell, but how many more Caelum soldiers would die. Who inherits the throne is of no concern to us, and if we simply keep defending our homes like we have up until now one day Roswell will either get bored or die of boredom." "I'm kind and just! Why don't I become the King of Dragao?" The sol's joke stifles a giggle from the Ignis, the first show of emotion. Sol'Fael smiled, clearly happy with his own joke but then turned with a more serious face to his guests. "Future Queen Saffron, it is our people or yours. If you were in our position you would do the same. None of us could ask our soldiers to die for a country that isn't theirs. They are able to defend Caelum because it's their home. They have no reason to march into Dragao when we are comfortable here in our warm sands." For a moment it seems like he is about to say 'I'm sorry' but keeps it to himself. There is a genuine expression of sadness on his face. --- "Oh don't worry dear, I made sure the guards knew very well I arrived. So they'll be here soon. Just look for a fuming red tomato. Oh look there comes one!" She points in a directions and sure enough, Anna Clara... Or was it Anna Beatrice? They all look the same. An Anna was storming through the guests her expression filled with anger. As she arrived she seemingly remembered she was at a party and contained herself. "Hello Anna Marie welcome! I thought it smelled like rotten corpses!" This Anna's expression had become a smile but her eyebrows twitched ever so slightly. "Anna Clara it's been so long! You know, I never thought it would be possible but somehow you've gotten uglier since I last saw you. Did you do something with your hair? It looks awful!" Even if her words of reply were harsh her tone was sweet and caring. "It has been a long time! I thought you would have been killed by one of the bandits you hang around with. Tell me, how many people did you murder on your way here? Wait no let me guess first... Was it 50? Oh wait it has to be more right?" The exchange just keeps going with the insults getting each time worse. The air between them is palpable and very very salty. It seems Anna Clara didn't notice anyone else other than her sister either.
  18. "Lineage is nothing when compared to actions, but when I know nothing of your actions I must judge you on your lineage." She lifted her glare turning it to her nails, whatever reaction she was searching for she didn't get it. "There is a saying in Caelum: 'There are just as many thieves who are sons of nobles than nobles who are sons of thieves.' Lineage isn't a rule but more of a guideline to what one might do. But a guideline I value." "I never liked that saying very much. And I'm sure our guests didn't come all this way to discuss the importance of lineage and character." The Sol interjected, trying to lighten the mood. "We now know who you are, and where you come from. So now comes the what: what do you want from us, oh future dragon queen and her two brave warriors."
