Just a bit of trivia, it's impossible for a tyrogue to be female as that line is always male. Did the smoochum event not trigger where it normally does after returning to the main area? Is tyrogue no longer available via trade in the field research center? I might have a couple of these, but they're not 5IV's.

There's some issue with garchomp having earthquake, since it'll kill your bisharp and gengar in doubles. Also, you don't technically have a set up sweeper (bulk-up is slow) to use after "crippling" your opponent, which seems at odds with what you like. Mega-garchomp is technically worse than garchomp, so it may not be the best to M-evolve it. You're also likely to run into problems with the fighting leader if they play well. Fighting has surprising coverage and knock off, so it'll be easy to cover your mons with them. Taunt probably isn't that great on bisharp as it's slower than many mons; gengar might do better with taunt than trick.

@Lord Chespin You may want Slowbro over slowking. Although you lose dragon tail, you'd gain access to another possible mega, a pokemon which benefits more from the AV (since it's defense and special defense will both be good), and it doesn't necessarily lose bulk or offensive capability.

Just wondering, what is your plan beating the fairy team? Just thinking about Azumarill, it resists the majority of your offensive moves while also dealing with almost everything on your team. Similarly, there's a lack of water coverage that may bite you later on.

Maybe HP ice on the chandelure to attempt to take out dragons? If you plan on mega-evolving garchomp, remember that it loses speed on evolution, so you'll be slower than normal. If you wanted to replace conkeldurr, you may want something more supportive/bulky in nature. Maybe something with wide guard to help protect yourself in doubles? You could also consider protean greninja if you'd rather have more raw power and coverage.

Is eternal-floette going to be legal?

Be aware in doubles that there will be mixed weather on your team; sun from zard and sand storm from tyranitarr. At the wrong times especially towards the end of the matches, you may be forced to change weather on yourself, whether it benefits you or harms you. Depending on how their team is constructed, you're likely to have a rough time with the ground leader, since most of your mons are weak against ground or secondary typing of ground. If it was purely an OU team, you'd maybe consider weaville over tyranitarr, but having the choice of mega's makes it a harder decision here.

With all those intimidate, you need to be careful about competitive and defiant pokemon. Before you realize it, you'll have buffed up the enemy team to sweeping potential before the first turn even begins. They can help against types that don't have these abilities, but normal, fighting, water, and steel to some degree can take advantage of intimidate. Is it possible to "win EXP" from this event? I remember there was originally talk about activity both on the server and on the forums counting for EXP gains, so I was wondering if participating in something like this actively could generate some EXP for participants (even if it's part of the championship reward). Just wondering if that was part of the experience.

Nothing besides honor. However, there is the balance between our ability to pick any 6 mons from nearly the entire pokedex versus their restriction to exclusively one type. So, success comes down to a balanced team with pokemon that can to adapt to different strategies. There's also balance in needing 2/3 wins per tier to advance in the league, so if a particular type completely shuts down your team, try against the other two leaders. Once leaders/tiers/aces are announced, you could even plan your team specifically to only deal with 2/3 teams per tier and avoid whichever weaknesses you'd have every tier. There's also the balance in the time and effort needed to create a new team per challenger. It's likely leaders will have a couple of "staple" teams with their best strategies to alternate between rather than counter picking every single opponent they have. There's also the balance that the leaders will not keep the league alive if all they do is straight up counter opponents, as they'll lose their participants if the league is "unfun" and "unfair." tl;dr: If they really want to counter all their opponents, they could, but the time/energy/effort of always doing so would be large and not truly in the spirit of having a fun/fair event.

Are gems going to be available for use? They're unreleased at the moment, but they may make certain movesets more viable than others if legal. And just wanted to double check, is protean Greninja legal?

Are Evasion increasing abilities banned or is it solely a ban on evasion based moves?
