  1. that sounds deceptively pervy TIL that Sulfur Hexaflouride does the inverse of helium and can make me sound like a Demon
  2. You have just signed yourself a death note... Espurr is busy watching you silently. You may not sleep for many nights, but eventually you will and as you wake up randomly in the middle of the night it will be floating above you, its ever haunting eyes staring deep into your soul. And still it will not let out even a murmur as it proceeds to murder you.. violently.. ripping you limb from limb, licking its blood drenched fingers once its done. The all seeing eyes
  3. Ah man I have a ton of catching up to do. 3 dragonites. Damn, best find something fast to exploit x4 ice weakness and quick. I am so glad I can find a larvitar pre e4 though that is fantastic The collector in me wants to gouge your eyes out for not catching the Latios, but it's cool haha Great work on documenting everything btw, some of those E4 battles were intense! It is sad to see how whimpy Claire's team looks. I thought for sure she would have a Dragonite. I don't know why I remember her having one before
  4. Have you done the team Magma/ Aqua missions? Both Houndoom and Sharpedo can wreck shade. My choise is speed boost Sharpedo. WIll easily OHKO most of his pokemon. Houndoom is a little slower but can OHKO most as well.
  5. As Chubb said. You will get there as the story progresses. Once you hut 7th street, you CAN'T miss them Praise Lord Helix
  6. I stand to correction but I don't believe so no. You can however leave the circus through a slight glitch after beating Terra
  7. Rock types do well in this battle. One strategy is to change the field with an EQ user another is to brute force it. Get some rock coverage and then just set up your team in a good order and you should be able to take him. I would take Taurus out since he offers very little to the team. If you managed to pick up heracross from the woods he would be a great addition. Okay so this guy did a mono fighting in hardcore with only 4 pokemon http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18033&page=2 So it's doable but it isn't easy. In fact it's bloody difficult.. My advice (if you don't just follow how the guy above did it: Cheese it with the first Hariyama with fake out then Sand attacks. Get Hitmonchan in and try KO the Qwilfish with thunder punch -might help with Crobat as well. Gurder should be saved to take on Crobat who is the deadlist threat to the team. The inbetween is less difficult than the Starter Qwilfish and final Crobat. Hitmonchan might be able to take all three (the nidoqueen included) out with Thunder and ice punch so long as it doesnt get intimidated. The hardest part will be Crobat especially if it has aCROBATics (sorry couldn't resist)
  8. Jericat used Shell Smash, Moderator Powers increased and lurking decreased
  9. You need paint.net for that and a short tutorial that you can find on youtube to help you. Image needs to be a .png format as well. Spriting is fun, but don't f- up and always make back ups in case you do...
  10. Great work and great documentary, RNGesus definitely threw everything it could at you to make your time miserable.
  11. As commander has said he has heard a lot of times people saying some bosses are too easy and stuff. And a good explanation has always been that the team you use can make a massive difference to who is easy and who is tough. I will definitely say that every time I have played hardcore the toughest for me has always been Shelly. I don't know why but.with the Rain effect the best choice to use is Rock type but since most of shelly's team is quite quick and they usually have coverage moves it's difficult for the slow rock types to even get a chance to get a move in. I have come very close a number of times to rage quitting when getting to her @Commander I have heard again now how M Gengar's speed was nerfed. Was it really that potent that it would speed entire teams? And if so what was the way around it back then? I would also like to ask if SpiritBOMBtomb has ever been considered? Say in place of Golurk? One other pretty devastating combo I have seen is Mega Kangaskhan using power up punch. That could do a number for Noel. but now I am getting way off topic..I just get really excited playing hardcore and I recently started playing Pokemon Showdown and have seen some very strange and very effective things there. Haha, one thing I know is that designing teams is a nightmare and no matter how well you plan something there will always be a way to counter it. And I am also pretty sure that Commander could make Hardcore damn near unbeatable if he wanted to Back @The Mighty Lord Chespin - Good guide, keep it up, I have actually found out a few things I never knew about Hardcore until now. Also love the "50 shades of Ghost"
  12. It's been nearly 2 weeks. Sean, I need my fix. now.... please...no?gofuckyourself...just kidding... not
  13. Wow, ok I had this same issue and it was a nightmare to figure out. Luckily I have. First, install a direct X end user package from the microsoft website. (in google type in your error, follow a link with the solution and that link will take you to the download link for the direct x install you need). it's a problem common to Windows 7. Here's the link: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-gaming/system-error-the-program-cant-start-because/261e2bb5-2e75-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5?auth=1 The next thing you do after unzipping and installing the direct X software is to get a patch program for IPS extensions. I used this one: http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/ Lunar IPS (Lips). Then you need to download a fire red rom. Then you use the Lunar IPS and open the liquid crystal game and patch it to the fire red ROM. Once thats done you can play liquid crystal in the emulator you download from the site. Here's more instructions from the website: http://pokemonliquidcrystal.com/how-to-play/ TL:DR. Download the direct X program, patch the IPS file to a fire red rom, play. Hope that helps. Also. Great work on the update I am at Bugsy now and keen to see the new story first hand
  14. I would just like to point out that Shade is only Brutal if you come unprepared. In 2 of the playthorughs I did against him I completely demolished him. Once with a Houndoom and once with a speed boost Sharpedo. In both situations they took out 5 of his 6 pokemon. Having a decent dark pokemon definitely makes it easier. In my first ever paythrough of reborn he was challenging. In my latest playthrough he was also a good challenge.
  15. Steel normal would be horrible due to x4 weakness to fighting ouch, but it would be unique. I am personally not a fan of dual typing that succumbs to x4 weakness (rock fire is probably the worst with x4 weakness to both water and ground). I prefer typing that limits the number of weaknesses or eradicates them almost entirely
  16. Thanks for the link, I played with all 3 starters before and while Cyndaquil is definitely my favourite I think I may just give Totodile a shot... I wouldn't worry about dragging on the story either. So far you've already shown me enough interesting stuff in each episode you've posted to want me to see more. If this follows more or less the same story line as the original (gaining access to the Kanto region after E4 then there is loads to report on. I am definitely interested to see and experience how the new rivals fit in to everything and if red will still be the final boss and if not who is going to replace him. As far as you can see do yu know yet what gen mechanics this hack follows? Gen 4/5/6? If you keep things interesting enough then even if the thread goes on for pages and pages it won't feel like its dragging on and so far it's pretty good Edit: It seems Roselia's not the only hoenn pokemon in the game. There's ralts and whismur in the grass by Mr Pokemon. The encounter rate is bloody low though
  17. Aw man silver/ crystal has always been my most favourite of the canon games and now you've shown me something that will most likely consume all my time. Would you be so kind as to share the download link/ site for this hack? Also good and easy to follow documentary. You mention making the posts shorter - I say keep them as they are or even longer with some more detail I personally find it more entertaining as it feels like I am going on the journey with you step by step
  18. Giga drain will do a number on Marshtomp thanks to x4 weakness to grass. Get common candies and lower the level so it obeys you. Also get your pokemon levelled up higher. You can also catch a Kilnk which will resist almost everything Roselia can throw at you
  19. Decisions, decisions.. Murkrow for El and for Radomus... The only bug type that would be viable is Yanma, but then I shudder of the x4 weakness to rock type moves which the fields turns normal moves into. I hate a pokemon in min for Radomus and I'vr forgotten it. Wait. Dusklops is my vote for Radomus I think ghost types are the only types that will help agianst his fairy/psychic Mega Gardevoir and his fighting/ psychic Gallade. That's if I remember the team correctly. I really hated gardevoir becuase trick room was setup and I had a bad time
  20. I'm using chrome, should I be using another?
  21. ok game was fun I started out and played 4 or 5 rounds couldn't get to 50 kills then on my last attempt I got there but halfway there the game started lagging tremedously. I eventually got to 80something kills but the lag became too bad and I couldn't play Went on to the next route and the lag started immediately. The game doesn't look taxing on resources and my laptop has handled pretty much everything I have thrown at it alright so I am not sure what was going on.
  22. Megas aside I want more eeveelutions. One for every type. Got it game freak? Do it. Now. All the starters who don't have megas should get Mega's except Blaziken, He's OP enough. There are a ton of 'mons I would love to see get Megas from Milotic, Kingdra, Flygon, Froslass, Spiritomb. Basically anything that has ever been a pain in the canon games leading up to gen 6 should get one. While there are a lot of Megas I would like to see, there are also quite a few I would like to be redone
  23. I thought this was covered already - the whole waking up as a random pokemon one day - in the mystery dungeon series Anyway I woke up as Honestly I don't know how to react, this pokemon is too happy and smiles too much for my liking
