      From what remember of my childhood, I think they are in debt. Otherwise I don't really know why they'd need to ration extremely small amounts of food and take side jobs all the time.

    Oh man, not that guy... His final form gave me trouble to no end. I do like the idea of being some manipulative puppet master, though I doubt I'd ever actually do anything like that in real life. Thanks for the battle theme!

    I considered making a fan game once upon a time, but my lack of coding skill really kills the chances.

      You can be a lot of other roles than coder and still be able to make a game. You just need to find a coder to help you but they will be willing if you can map, sprite, music if need be so consider trying to make a fangame. I was afraid of doing one because I had no skills other than plot when starting but now I am a mapper and I have a team to cover my weaknesses. :)
