Felix sighed when the giant sailor continued to sign as soon as he pocketed Pory. He didn't understand sign language himself, but Pory definitely could "read" it and "translate" it to him in it's usual motions. Felix felt no need to bring out Pory again for a single string of signing. He didn't care that much about what they were saying, although one of the people on the dock caught his attention. He heard one of the girls he first saw on the dock stating with an obvious irk to her voice the need to find the captain. She stormed off and some seedy-looking guy who came after Felix, followed the girl swiftly, assumingly to look for the poor bloke who headed the boat. Felix hatched a bright idea on the spot out of their actions. "So you're repurposing the boat right? I'd like to speak with either your ship's captain or, even better, the engineer. I think we all could work something out." He set his hefty backpack down on the dock with a loud thunk. He unzipped the backpack, starting to rummage through it's contents. He rifled through the backpack for a good 30 seconds, and pulled out a large, black, plastic case, shaped in what could only be described as a briefcase. Felix laughed softly to himself as he got on his knees looking at the case. "My folks and friends told me I'd be stupid bringing this. Oh they'll eat those words." He laughed softly again as he turned the black case around to give the giant sailor guy a good view and unlatched the two metal snaps holding it shut, and pried the top open. He removed the top and beheld to the guy a small plethora of various tools: a cordless drill with a few different bits, some screwdrivers of various sizes, a stereotypical hammer, a couple of adjustable wrenches, and a bunch of screws, nuts, bolts, and other fastening agents. He stood up and showed the giant guy his collection of tools and smiled. "I got tools. If you can get your captain or engineer, maybe we can help speed up the process. But I'd prefer talking to either of them to discuss it further." He closed his toolbox and sat down with the case in his lap.

Strat it'll prolly get better when we're not so restricted to setting, because then everyone can go at their own pace. Don't forget you still have the reserve characters of everyone who didn't make the cut if you have to access them for whatever reason. I mean I'm willing to slow way the fuck down from the original speed I planned my posts (because there's stuff I'm putting off I should really attend to anyways)

I don't think you should worry about that. I'm sure I'll be able to draw fine lines whereit may borderline to metagaming. I guess it has to do with sign language being a "basic" language.

Yep sorry about that Murdy and Strat. I fixed it up no problem. Although I am quite surprised that no one questioned the ability of the Porygon to "translate". Then again it is a piece of independent analytical computer software.

Felix wasted no time in pulling out his Pokeball, and pressing the button on it, with the red light ejecting his partner, the Porygon-Z. He pointed to his Porygon-Z and then the sailor and the young people fluently signing. "What are they saying," he asked in a voice just above a whisper. The Porygon twirled around, making random noises, beeping and twitching in every which direction, communicating with it's maker. Felix nodded and harumphed, evidently to the others, at least making sense of what the Pokemon conveyed. "I see. Can't say I'm fluent in their language. That's kind of dumb. Ok Pory. Return." He pulled out the Pokeball from his belt and pressed the button, the ball opening and accepting the Porygon back to it. "Don't understand why they'd use sign language in the first place," Felix said as he repocketed the ball to his belt. "These guys are being kinda stupid," Felix muttered to himself.

Well that doesn't really tell me jack. But I'll help out nonetheless. Blastoise, for starters, is a Pokemon that functions way better as a support Pokemon. Although that pool is terrible, so what you can work with is a special set. And it works WAY better with Rain and HA Rain Dish. Sample set: Blastoise: abilty - Rain Dish - Hydro Pump - Flash Cannon - Rain Dance - Protect What goes good with Blastoise is anything that can soak up it's weaknesses and maybe benefit from it. Also anything that can set Rain is excellent. Seeing as Politoed isn't available normally, try any Prankster with the Rain Dance TM. Example support: Manectric: ability - Lightning Rod -Charge Beam -Discharge -Flamethrower -Thunder Wave Meowstic (Male): ability - Prankster -Rain Dance -Light Screen -Reflect -Psychic Honestly this is for Reborn. I can't help finish the team, but there's half of your core right there. Any other 3 Pokemon to fill in typing gaps will do the trick.

Heh. Little Mac is my second at tourneys, and man I almost never used him for an air game, unless it was for a good opening with Side or Up B. They kill at modest percents in the air at like 110 or 120. I'm up for Smash. I need Ganondorf and ZS Samus practice. Or I can brush up with Mac, Link or Sanik. Y'alls choice.

"Damn I'm freezing my ass off," were the words uttered by a nearly hypothermic Felix, standing out on the Vermillion docks, overlooking where the S.S Anne usually lay in docked. He now regreted skimping out on a thicker set of long pants before he left home. He packed his fuzzy parka, sure, but he carefully considered all he required whilst divying priority to the goods in his backpack. Not that he hated the cold, he just hated his lack of foresight on the bone-numbing climate of Vermillion. That and he'd spent long hours in Shoal Cave back in Hoenn. But Hoenn was a warm region for most of the year. Felix spent the previous night in the Pokemon Center. Sure wasn't comfortable, although it didn't cost him anything except the time and effort to ask Nurse Joy. Camping in the cold, without firewood, would sign his death warrant. He wouldn't want to cut up and gather wood.He thought about home, and his dad, and his mum, and particularly his dad's workshop. Man he missed home. Maybe a little too much. He watched in amusement as a young woman walked along the docks to a pitiful looking boat with an advertisement in front of it. It read about some faroff place called Arcadia. The name sounded familiar to him somewhere in the back of his mind but he couldn't put a finger on it. Wherever it was, it was probably better than the miserably cold Kanto region. He shrugged to himself. Prices negotiable if willing to work? Felix snickered to himself. If the boat looked as shoddy in the engine room as the exterior, he'd have no problem putting in some work alright. Felix grunted and made his way down to the boat, only to see another woman, maybe around the same age as the first go in front of him. He followed closely behind the other one, as he stopped yards of the boat and observed the two girls asking for passage on the boat, with the one from earlier calling herself Nikki. Felix found a sailor seperate from the other two and asked: "You got room on this boat? I'm willing to negotiate if you do."

Gardevoir or Sylveon either one. Gonna need some details. I would also prefer nicknamed if possible. Gyarados alas I am not the OT.

50-something. It's a standard D.Dance set. Although it has Jolly over Adamant.

I can offer you a Gyarados in a Dream Ball with Moxie. (Of course shiny). I get it isn't low-leveled, but it is EV trained with proper IVs. Take or leave it.

Yeah like for instance how I got a Porygon-Z. That mon holds a reputation for frailty with, at best, meh defenses. Although that's where I'm really gonna have to restrain it, because my guy essentially altered it where it can take hits better. (He definitely covered the reason it lost him in the first place). Also, taking into consideration the Porygon-Z plowed over more Pokemon singlehandedly than an International Harvester. That's where we have to be considerate to our fellow RP'ers. Even if what you're staring at was LITERALLY MADE for superiority.

Well the PULSE Muk easily gave me the hardest time out of all the PULSES. Second would be Tangrowth, simply because I have no good mons at that point in the game. Abra was really easy for me, partially due to a Ninetales, and a Toxicroak with Sucker Punch (and also Gardevoir Shadow Ball on a recharge turn). Swalot was more annoying than hard, because it kept healing off the field, and I could barely put a good dent in it. Will-o-Wisp really helped chip there. Surprised to not hear the PULSE Avalugg giving anyone problems. PULSE Avalugg had physical Defense up the ass, like a godly amount, and decent HP backing it up.

Man Strat actually did a way better job of sorting out the seven of us who made it than I originally thought. I decided to dissect the apps of my fellow RP'ers to understand what I may expect from them, and there were some shocking similarities. This is what I like about Strat. He gave us a whopping medley of different characters, but at the same time, none of them are even worlds apart on every difference. He delivered on the balance part. 3 females, 4 males. Approximately even, given the odd dividend. However, I'd like to dig a bit deeper. In balance, Strat made our partners about even on power, with 5 "powerhouses" as someone earlier said, and two others I wouldn't exactly label as "powerhouses". Also with Mega Evolving partners, he kept that at a balance too with 4 at Mega Evolving potential and 3 with no such potential. Moving on to characters, almost all of them are excellent battlers, but that's where it ends. Joey and Nikki ad hoc most of their stuff. Johanna, Yuuki, Felix, and Yuzuki all normally think stuff through. Not sure about Lloyd. And that's just battling style and thinking. As much as Hukuna won't like it, Johanna is the senpai of the group, and everyone else is young to middle-young on that range. Everyone obviously possessed one inner demon that clashed into their personality. Some characters are almost painfully the same, but in niche ways different, such as the cases of Felix/Yuuki, and Lloyd/Yuzuki. And that's just what I noticed on the surface. But if you tore apart everyone's app and dig a little bit deeper, you'll understand what I mean, and Strat's original intention

Geez all these people with their brutal personalities. Even Felix likes "fixing" things. May be a machinist, but still "fixing" can be a very broad term.

What I hear is, you seem to have preferred the self-made man rather than the upstart kid. If that was the deciding factor, I've actually been criticized in my early writing because of the "upstart" deal. And if I remember correctly, there is already a well-off character.EDIT: Also Felix was only able to outshine his old man because his old man was decommissioned by the Porygon creation incident. Him possessing 2 hands gives him a one-off automatically.
