I still need to get 800 more Rupees anyway.

  2. Haven't made one of these in a while, but here I am again! Let's do something different from Dark types, shall we? Opposite to Darkness, Fairies! Pokemon: Granbull Ability: Intimidate Moveset: Charm, Play Rough, Crunch/Ice Fang/Fire Fang/Thunder Fang, Close Combat (breed) Rank: B Analysis: Granbull is actually pretty decent, and can be received just after Florinia, so it's also a pretty early Fairy, too! A personal favorite strategy to use is the Intimidate and Charm combo, helpful against Physical Attackers, like Corey's Crobat and Kiki, Victoria, and Samson's teams! Granbull also gets many useful moves to compliment its amazing Attack, such as STAB Play Rough (which also has a chance of lowering Attack), Crunch, Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, and if you're willing to catch other Pokemon of a type besides your Monotype for breeding/HMs, Close Combat! Fire Fang and/or Close Combat are especially good for dealing with Steel types, one of Fairy's weaknesses. However, with pretty bad Defenses and a terrible Speed, this Pokemon may be outclassed in the future. Oh, and reserving Hariyama. (Also, a suggestion, but you may want to put the name of who is reserving what in the reservation spoiler. And update it, since some of the reserved ones have been finished~) On the note of suggestions, you could also alphabetize rankings, if you'd like. In addition, linking the Monotype Availability Guide might be helpful: Monotype Pokemon Availability Guide. EDIT: I got bored, so I'm doing Hariyama for Fighting type (obviously) right now. Pokemon: Hariyama Ability: Thick Fat OR Guts Item: If running Guts, Toxic Orb Moveset: Fake Out/Belly Drum, Close Combat, Knock Off, Heavy Slam/Bullet Punch/Bulldoze Rank: A Analysis: Hariyama, available all the way before Florinia, is definitely one of the best Fighting types in Reborn. It has access to so many great moves: Fake Out for just doing a bit of damage (not recommended for Toxic Orb Guts), Belly Drum to boost this thing's Attack to a monstrous level, STAB Close Combat, Knock Off (so many Leftovers, all gone~), Heavy Slam (Hariyama is pretty heavy), Bullet Punch (breed it off of Hitmonchan and you get a nice Priority attack), and Bulldoze (although the Speed drop isn't really helpful with only base 50 Speed...). Heavy Slam and Bullet Punch are especially good for those menacing Fairy types! Hariyama's amazing HP makes up for its terrible Defenses and Speed, and its beautiful Attack is something that will really make this Pokemon helpful in a Fighting Monotype run.

Actually, you have to turn on the field, by using Discharge or something.
  4. Rejuvenation only has 7 Gyms... Why would we already have Flamethrower or Dark Pulse?
  5. I'd say Honchkrow if it has Moxie, especially if it has Night Slash or Sucker Punch via Relearner. Still, I prefer to use Moxie Krookodile over both Pokemon, since Earthquake is great for Doubles, which Radomus' strategy.
  6. Like Florges, Sceptile is UU, not NU.

Ah, the Pokemon Location Guide 2 has not been updated for E15 yet, but it should be soon!
  8. Alright, I'll look into these games soon once I stop procrastinating on updating the list!
  9. ...what? Do you mean Florges, a pure Fairy type Pokemon?
  10. Welcome to your Wonderland~ "We hope to see you again!"
  11. Thanks for all the suggestions, shall be editing the team a bit more soon~
  12. Both Psyduck and Trapinch were replaced with the cheaper Slugma and Nidoran-M. Oh, that's another Ground type! Nidoking! Nidorina's Event has also been changed. It's in a box somewhere in Beryl Cave!
  13. Previous (Julia, UU): http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15452 Next (Doctor Sigmund Connal, Triples): Coming soon... I really suck at OU for some reason, so I'm taking a break from doing the chain of Gym Leaders and I'm not doing Fern (both of which I plan on doing teams in OU). So while I'm still used to Electric types, we're going to a different "tier": Triples! Alright, and we're back with Leader #2! This time we have Florinia, in the NU Tier! (Cradily was NU, and with Typhlosion and M-Camerupt now in RU, I thought NU would be perfect for this team!) Again, suggestions are appreciated! At A Glance: Yep, we're bringing back bulky Sandstorm! Something to mention: Cradily, Cacnea, and Ferroseed are currently on E15 Rini's team, and Grotle used to be on there. We're still keeping our roots~ (pun unintended) The Process: Cradily is Rini's Ace, after all! Now, Cradily's Sandstorm is the main strategy, so let's look for immunities, shall we? Gourgeist is one of my favorite NU Pokemon, so let's throw that in here, too! Now we face a dilemma: Who shall be my last Pokemon? Vileplume, Roselia, Exeggutor, or Leavanny? Leavanny's Overcoat means it's immune to Sandstorm, and quick and powerful Knock Offs are tempting, but I truly need a Special Attacker. Roselia just didn't cut it, even with an Eviolite (Fern really is incompetent...). Finally, Vileplume was chosen over Exeggutor, since it had much better bulk as well as pretty good Special Attack! Analysis: Florinia (Cradily) (F) @ Smooth Rock Ability: Storm Drain EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD Bold Nature - Sandstorm - Infestation - Recover - Toxic Cradily sets up 8 turn Sandstorm with Smooth Rock, and proceeds to Toxic, Recover if necessary, and use Infestation to trap opponents. It's always fun seeing Sun and Rain teams being shut down by Cradily! She's also immune to Water moves, which is handy, although not as much on a mono-Grass team. However, she's Taunt bait... Cacturne @ Choice Scarf Ability: Sand Veil EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Drain Punch - Sucker Punch - Seed Bomb - Switcheroo Rather than having Scarfed Trick Rotom or Furret or something like that, there's Scarfed Switcheroo Cacturne on this team, instead! Anyways, Sucker Punch and Seed Bomb are STABs, and Drain Punch is coverage and recovery! Sand Veil gives immunity to Sandstorm and also some extra Evasion, I guess. Torterra @ Life Orb Ability: Shell Armor EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD Adamant Nature - Earthquake - Synthesis - Wood Hammer - Stealth Rock Life Orb Torterra with EQ and Wood Hammer is amazing, and I can always Synthesis the damage back up! And there's also Stealth Rock, since with so much bulk, Torterra can easily keep putting Rocks up after Defogs or Rapid Spins by the opponent. Ferroseed @ Eviolite Ability: Iron Barbs EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Calm Nature - Spikes - Protect - Gyro Ball - Leech Seed Ferroseed's Spikes continues to increase the hazards on this team, but it's not just used for that! Iron Barbs with investments in Defense and Eviolite help make this Pokemon like it's parent, Ferrothorn! Plus Leech Seed and Protect can be used for more stalling, and Gyro Ball actually does some decent damage since Ferroseed has such low Speed. Gourgeist-Super @ Leftovers Ability: Frisk EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD Bold Nature - Leech Seed - Will-O-Wisp - Shadow Sneak - Substitute Gourgeist's access to Will-o-Wisp was the main reason why I chose it. After burning Physical Attackers, I really don't have to worry about them doing too much damage and can proceed to Leech Seed and Shadow Sneak away! It's invested in Special defense more because, as I said, I'll be burning opponents to lower Attack. Sub also helps get a Will-o-Wisp or a Leech Seed off when you're against a set-up sweeper or a support Pokemon with Wish. Vileplume @ Black Sludge Ability: Effect Spore EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD Modest Nature - Moonblast - Giga Drain - Sludge Bomb - Aromatherapy Vileplume has Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb as STABs, as well as Synthesis for extra recovery, combined with Black Sludge. This one's my only Special Attacker, but it's pretty bulky, so this Pokemon won't die too quickly! Export: Maybe the spoiler things are broken cuz I put them in size 12 font to take up less space in the "Editing Post"? Oh well, I kinda like it like this anyway. Threats: Half of this team is Taunt bait... Sap Sipper exists... T-T Trick/Switcheroo Scarf users... Specific Pokemon: Bouffalant with Sap Sipper and Megahorn, Rapidash (if there's no hazards up yet), Malamar, Sneasel, Gallade, etc. Any others? Stay tuned for next time, as I'll be doing more Electric types with Dr. Sigmund Connal in Triples!
  14. I recommend getting rid of Klang, who would be terrible in this fight, and Noibat, who really can't do anything until it evolves. Kiki's worst enemy is her own Field, which boosts certain Psychic type moves, like Psychic. A Gothitelle or a Meowstic or something else with Psychic WRECKS her. Granbull with Intimidate and Charm also effectively lowers Kiki's Pokemon's Attack, which is also great.
  15. No, the Froakie puzzle gives you Dive.
  16. Don't know everything, but here: They axed Trapinch. The Mystery Egg is actually post-Florinia, pre-Corey. Trade Growlithe Egg to Police Officer for one. You can potentially get Drillbur or Rhyhorn (Protector in Iolia Valley), but you can't soft reset sadly... There's still the Trading Thread, but I don't know if you want to use that. Hippopotas is now in Deep Tanzan Mountain as a rare Wild Encounter! Sand Stream can be pretty beneficial on your Monotype! And as for the Turtwig Event, the Froakie puzzle in Agate Circus changes to a Turtwig one after you complete it and get Dive.
  17. In ORAS, Nuzleaf learns Leaf Blade at Level 28.
  18. Welcome to your Wonderland~ "We hope to see you again!"
  19. A: Reborn follows ORAS movesets, not XY. (If there are any mistakes, you should report them in Bug Reporting!) B: Not all Pokemon had their Shinies changed. The ones good enough were kept, like Greninja, I believe. I don't know if Nuzleaf was one of them, however. (Also, you just got lucky!)
  20. Mudkip was axed in E15, but there's now an Event for Turtwig, so you may want to rethink your starter.
  21. Zigzagoon is a possibility along with another Pokemon in the Peridot-Opal Event with Pachirisu and Panpour (and also Wingull now). The two you get may be random. Linoone, however, is available in Route 1, I think. I believe Starly is the only possible Mystery Egg, if I am not mistaken.
