  1. All right, whatever Halloween may say, this time I really am going to stop drawing for a while until the end of May, because of some important exams. I'll see what I can post, but don't expect to much until then. Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement! See you all later.
  2. LOL, you can't just use all three at once! well...hydreigon can do that technically, I suppose, but even there there are ways and means to get around them. Scarftran, the hilarious TormenTran, SpDef Skarm, Air balloon Magnet Rise Zone, the unholy FlinchToDeath, etc. Besides, this drawing is for aesthetic purposes only; in a real steel mono, some members would be switched for a Mega that can take such stuff on better, like bulky SD M-Scizor, or some more offensive members like Bisharp, Lucario, Excadrill. Or the keys. never play games with the keys. it will destroy your soul.
  3. Shush Anyways, here is another pencil-drawn lineart, that I drew to amuse myself, because there's obviously no such thing as too much steel. I'll keep filling in the colour with pencils over the week, since it's my principal way to relax. I'll post that too, when it's done. WARNING: CONTAINS BURD (sort of, not really, and definitely not realistic like that previous Skarmory to inspire ornithophobia)
  4. Too late! He who is sloth loseth the battle! I fear not thine Dragon, be it thy serf or thy self, for I am clad in Iron, which spurneth your Outrage and yieldeth me mine victory! Your move, sir Spine, be it late, is for naught.
  5. Hello, Aureant, welcome to Reborn! I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here. Do join in the server chat to let us know you better!
  6. Haxorus. Because it's not hax, it's just the game we play.
  7. Hark ye, thou hast trapped me, vile cur! But by my troth, I shalt not yield without a contest! I challenge thee, Sir Spine, to a duel!
  8. I commend you for having the will to share this with us, Nasdav. Many a time such issues remain bottled up when the best thing is to share it with friends. I know I speak for us all when I say that you will always have many people to bank on, if ever you need to. I certainly can relate to your situation, being alienated by many peers in junior and middle school, also in part due to my figure, which at the time was a figure of fun for many. However, if I may have the arrogance to offer advice, I can only say that there are only two things to do when bullied or when plagued with insecurities: the first is to excel in your chosen fields, excel to such an extent that the bullies are eclipsed and forced even against their will to respect you, for all bullies ultimately obey public opinion. The second is to have friends to talk to, and I reiterate that you will always have friends here, at least, to trust in and who support you.
  9. You know, all of you make me blush like a five year old. I have to thank the tropical sun and chlorinated pools for this tan of mine, else it would be showing everywhere.
  10. Welcome to Reborn, then! I've seen you around, so glad to see your intro.
  11. Floatzel is very fast already; Although you shouldn't miss aqua jet, it's less bad to go for power instead and keep waterfall. Ideally, though, a floatzel shouldn't be using Bulk Up anymore, since it is too frail to be able to set up on much. Even at +1 or +2 a strong physical attack or even a moderately powerful super effective attack will do a huge amount. An all out attacking set or a mixed set would be better, I think. Something like Waterfall, Ice Punch/Beam, Aqua Jet and Crunch or Brick Break or even Return. Better go with Choice Band or Life Orb; leftovers is pretty useless on a Pokémon with as much bulk as a wet tissue. Oh and definitely keep Water Veil. Both abilities are situational but Swift Swim is needless since as I said Floatzel is already very fast. The ability to avoid burns is great on a physically-oriented attacker.
  12. Why do you keep catching me out? You know I hate to stop drawing, so even though I try to say nope, no more drawing, I invariably end up continuing. Best not look a gift horse in the mouth, hm? But quite seriously, come April and I'll be off for a month and a half. This is just me trying (and failing) to disengage before then. Sigh...in fact I've done another drawing just now. I'll post it tomorrow... Yes, within 12 hours again, goddamit. Prepare yourself for steel. Lots of steel.
  13. All the best! I'm sure this is gonna be interesting.
  14. Lazy Viri strikes back! This is the result of me getting bored in college, and makng the best of a black pen and paper. Of course, it's nothing more than a filled-in doodle, so don't expect too much importance given to perspective or angles and whatnot.

Mmh. A bit of a drag, but this is what my endeavor yields: B. Accounting Standard II relating to disclosure of Prior period and Extraordinary items and changes in accounting policies : 7. Prior period items shall be separately disclosed in the profit and loss account in the previous year together with their nature and amount in a manner so that their impact on profit or loss in the previous year can be perceived. 8. Extraordinary items of the enterprise during the previous year shall be disclosed in the profit and loss account as part of taxable income.... This goes on for longer than this, but you get the gist. Sigh....
  16. Somehow this is making me laugh.
  17. In my personal -opinion- appearances are but a minor detail, and not as important as a good plot or an enjoyable set of mechanics, in any game. Sure, X and Y for instance let us dress up our character, but we must realize that they do have a rather stale plot, even by Pokémon standards. Previous games that did not feature customization can claim a better plot or more significant mechanics. The thing most people appreciate X and Y are usually Megas and the graphics; dressing up was merely a nice touch. As for fourth-wall humour, I find it amusing if it is done in a proper fashion when the situation warrants. That's one of the reasons why I find Radomus in Reborn to be such a great character. Some may find pixelated bits of data claiming a distinct entity and directly addressing their controlling Gods to be disturbing, but in the larger picture, that's the charm of games like Undertake, and it all really is just for our fun and shouldn't be taken all too seriously.
  18. Happy birthday, Spade! Hope you have a great year ahead!
  19. For a start, I'd recommend some humour, of the good old 1930s kind. I'm not sure if many here are familiar with the works of P.G.Wodehouse? The creator of Jeeves and Wooster, Blandings Castle, Psmith, Ukridge and Mr.Mulliner among others, his series of works paint a jolly, light-hearted picture of English society at the time, particularly English aristocracy. In a way, Wodehouse tends to take a preconception and turn it upside down and inside out, in his own unique style. The most iconic of his works is the Jeeves and Wooster series, which revolve around the tribulations of Bertram (Bertie) Wooster, a sporting but simple-minded young aristocrat, and his valet Jeeves, who usually uses his intelligence and tact to save Bertie and his pals from many a funny or awkward social situation, usually involving one of Bertie's tyrannical aunts or a friend's love affair. While a simple Google search will show the reader the entire collection, my personal favourites of the lot, where Wodehouse shines at his brightest, are these: I admit that, especially to a new reader who doesn't know the context, this summary or review of mine mayn't capture the humour in its fullest, but I assure you of Wodehouse's way of enthralling the reader, carrying them off into a wonderful world where nothing is more serious than a stolen umbrella and several people getting engaged to the wrong people before everything going right in the end. He remains, in my view, the best chronicler of a certain kind of Englishness, with wit that none has been able to reproduce.
  20. Not even the Magnet God's infinite metallic wisdom can explain the cause of this.
  21. *is actually so happy he makes another post for the hell of it. I don't even care if you haul me over the coals for this* But truly, I do think I can contribute to this thread; I love talking about books! I also suppose there ought be a guideline about enclosing important bits, especially of fiction, in spoiler tags, so that the impecunious reader does not have his plot spoiled.
  22. Why, this is wonderful! I might be a sesquipedalian, but for once I can't find the words to express how happy I am that a library of sorts is being made here! I'm certain that this will make the community as a whole a lot more fleshed out, with myriads of branches available in literature. Michael, you have my full support, and I would definitely love to contribute in my capacity to this thread! For a start, though, why not add a section for fact? Subdivided into categories for History, Geography, Natural Philosophy, Economics or the Sciences? Granted, this is a lot more serious that novellas and even classics, but there's a wealth of academic and philosophical treatises out there that should not be missed by those inclined to peruse them. I'll come up with reviews and suggestions shortly!
  23. All right, here we are again...sort of, not really. SO it rained yesterday. A very heavy and sudden summer shower, not uncommon but still refreshing. I like the rain very much, and as I stood watching the thunderstorm I thought back to a happier time when I used to play in the rain on the seaside and watch dolphins. Which irks me today to remember that there still isn't an actual Dolphin Pokemon. The closest thing we have to anything that can fit in the Delphinidae family is Kyogre. Granted, Orcas are technically dolphins ('killer whale' is a misleading name; it stems from 'whale killer' as they hunted large whales, and are themselves not really whales per se), the largest of the family, but you know what I mean -- we need a 'proper' dolphin of the Bottlenose kind. Cetaceans are not even remotely unknown, and it beats me why we only have a beachball whale and an admittedly magnificent Orca as representatives of such a varied group of mammals. If GF can make multiple dogs, cats, snakes, and even jellyfish, why can't they make a Dolphin, a Beluga or a Narwhal? ...anyway, to get to the point, here is a concept I drew of a Dolphin Pokemon. I rather imagine it to be fast and powerful, with a wide movepool. It's something I did quite a while ago, to be frank, but as I have nothing new to show for now you may as well take a gander at this: Until next time!
  24. Happy birthday, Kiozo! I'm glad to get to know you; wishing you a great year ahead.
