  1. Okay I totally forgot I had accelgor with giga drain lol. Made swagsire his utter bitch. Her Claydol is like a god though, is that thing even able to get KO'd? Or does it just explode? Somehow Purugly was able to take out Hipowdon which was cool. Her Garchomp was a pain but teaching Drapion swagger was a good move as it allowed him to take out Nidoking. Hmmm I guess she isn't that hard with a good grass move and something to outlast Garchomp.
  2. Man I don't want to grind again. Got this far already you know? But I guess a water or grass type would do wonders for me at this point.
  3. Wait you hate Terra? And like Tina? Actually i know there's some history behind these gym leaders and whom they're based off which was supposedly covered in another thread but I'm still interested in how this all happened. Like was Tina originally a middle school kid who liked the spam the forums and got on your bad side so you made her annoying or what? I remember you saying Cain's basis would repeatedly cyber via chat in the middle of online battle or something lol.
  4. I met Blake, and yikes, the guy is a bigger douche than Fern. He's kind of funny in a way since he's obviously a parody of the "dick gamer" stereotype. But terra is kind of getting on my nerves now and she's probably my least favorite gym leader thus far. Like the idea of her character is cool but she herself gets old after a while and clashes too much with the rest of the game's atmosphere with her memetasms and sex jokes Plus she seems like a rip off of Tina from borderlands which ruins her a bit since I hated that character.
  5. Thanks you guys, that explains why I couldn't find it at first. Hmmm I'll finish 14 first since I'm almost done with it.
  6. Randomus, Cain, Charlotte and Saphira(both are the most badass women in the game so far), Hardy, Shelly, and Doc Sigmund. I like Samson.and Julia too.
  7. I don't get people finding Terra easiest. I just lost 4 straight against her. I guess if you have a strong grass + ice option she's a lot easier? I don't have any grass or water moves whatsoever so she's kind of difficult ATM. Swagsire FTL and she has a freakin Garchomp. Like what is so easy about her exactly? Or is it the field not being as beneficial to her as the other leaders?
  8. I spent all night on her, and had to do like 3 hours of grinding. Rotom is mad annoying and you need either a good Special attacker or brick break to deal with his reflecting. I found that leaving rotom for last helped me a lot because his strategy centers around overheating for massive hurts, putting up reflect, and then running away with volt switch. But by himself he's forced to burn out with overheat and was only dealing like 25 damage per turn against Drapion by the end. Ninetales I just sort of bumrushed from a tailwind boost,, but I got lucky since it decided to use solarbeam against drapion for some odd reason and used hidden power which isn't that threatening compared to say Darminitan's flare blitz or Typhlosion's eruption. I feel luck is a part of this match too because if Darminitan decides to start a flare blitzkrieg you might not even stand a chance.
  9. See thing is I actually screwed up on Malamar and he killed my bug option before I could use it. That made him a lot more difficult then he needed to be and really was the only difficult part of the battle. Another thing is that Luna has 3 pokemon with double weaknesses so unlike the other gym leaders rock paper scissors logic actually DOES wonders against her. Giving her Drapion, Greninja or even Spiritomb could make her difficult. Thing about Samson is that his Hairyama and Conkledurr are legit scary and can seem nearly broken if you keep ending up with bad whammos. I mentioned this in another thread where I got screwed over by weaks or oks while he'd get a NICE or powerful every turn. the luck factor is pretty annoying.I agree but the rest of his team isn't nearly as difficult as his ace or lead.
  10. They have? I thought they were still 14 vanilla. In fact I'm still not seeing it, it says last updated 12 /19.
  11. I found Samson difficult because of how luck-based he was and Conkledurr, already a strong pokemon being 7 levels higher than the cap. He one to two-shots just about everything not resisting him with drain punch + whammo max and gets health recovery on top of that. I got screwed over more than once off getting a WEAK off a closecombat that otherwise should've KO'd while he ends up with a nice or powerful. I had to catch a sawk and raise a Braviary just to take him and even lost the first time. However sawk with endure + reversal does a LOT of damage to his conkledurr, as it almost one-shot him. His Lucario and Blaziken were the weak links of his team I thought, Lucario is fragile so it's easy to stop its set up and Blaziken just isn't that strong. EDIT: After finally reaching Charlotte my vote goes to her...granted I wasn't using any healing items or had any water types but she definitely lives up to her hype. Thing about her is that every member of her team is a hard threat with the potential to utterly destroy you. Delphox and Darminitan especially gave me issues. Ninetales wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I won with Golurk, Drapion, Absol, Purugly, Infernape and Noivern who I had to raise from like level 34 just to stand a chance . That said, he was crucial and tailwind gets rid of those pesky flames(as does hurricane but good luck hitting with it lol). So far top 5 hardest for me would be: Shade, Charlotte, Aya, Corey, and Samson.
  12. How are you getting the 14.5 version?
  13. Definitely Luna or Flobot. Flobot's cradily admittedly cam be trouble with the wrong team but Kricketune eats her alive. Luna just comes too late in the game as a dark specialist to be of any particular challenge compared to the others save for Malamar.
  14. Ahhhhhh I see okay then, I can probably make good use of that.
  15. People saying Samson is one of the easiest leaders are insane. The guy demolished me and I couldn't even beat his second pokemon. Isn't acrobatics supposed to get a boost? It doesn't mention it during battle.
  16. Weird thing about the flying thing is, Lance in G/S had an all flying team, in fact he had more flying than dragon. Who is Flobat/fern's parents exactly? Or Serra's husband? Maybe even the previous head of the onyx school?
  17. Welcome to the forums!!! Brazil huh? I find it a pretty interesting country, maybe I'll visit one day. Fair warning, google translate is a bit iffy but I'm sure we can manage to get the gist of what you're saying anyway.
  18. Ah thanks everybody, glad to be here!!
  19. I didn't know they had names. Which one applies to who? I just go by visual description -Vero looks a bit hot blooded and "streetwise" , like a bit of arrogant punk but with good intentions -Kuro gives the vibe of an easygoing if slightly self-centered guy that can come off as careless but is actually sharp-witted. -Alice looks a bit flighty and naive, maybe even a bit shy but also courageous with a strong heart -Lucia comes off as outgoing, like the fun-loving yet bit crazy kind of girl who likes thrills and would probably take on one of Cain's offers lol. -Eri(my fave actually) comes off as a bit more solitary and serious whose decisive but not as hotblooded as 1st male. That said also slightly judgmental. -White haired androgynous person looks like an eccentric fellow whose loves being around others but does some oddball things which can make others seem uncomfortable. Also Xe looks kind of wealthy compared to say Vero who looks a bit more hood.
  20. During that dreadful stealth section(sorry but I loathe stealth segments in non-stealth games) have it so that they take away your pokemon and you have to retrieve them back on the way back up. Like as it stands it doesn't make much sense that they lock you up WITH your pokemon still on hand which logically would make escaping easy. It's another reason I don't like that section as even within the context of the game there's little reason you couldn't just bust out your mons on that floor and go to town especially since you can battle just fine on the next one. The stealth element felt rather forced and even nonsensical. Them taking away your pokemon would at least give you a good reason to be sneaking around.
  21. Benette was crazy for me because he not only owned me the first time, his larvesta of all things was the biggest threat and took out half my team :/ Pre-luna he was easier as I had a better team but larvesta still put up a fight.
  22. ^^Ah I see, that explains it, thanks. Can't wait till they are. Thoguh I don't recall Magnezone's back sprites looking like that in the actual gen 4 games so maybe they just transferred weirdly. mmm thanks, also like your icon, HxH is a fave of mine.
  23. Is there a place with all of these? I liked shiny Magnemite/ton a lot but Magnezone's is just his boring old regular one which looks bad. In fact Magnezone's sprites are kind of disappointing in general, like why is his back sprite only showing the top of his antennae? Is that ever going to be fixed?
  24. Fern is pretty funny in just how much he revels in his dickery. I kind of like him more than Gary because he's like parody levels of jerk-rival but his roserade can go die, that thing singlehandedly swept me more than once. But Cain is amazing, I love him. Only guy to get me laughing at a "she said" joke. He's fruitier than a cherrubi and you know what, it rocks. Cool team too, best poison specialist ever.
  25. Kricketune I just caught for filler originally, but technician fury cutter turns him into an early game hero. I kept him around for a long time(i use accelgor now) and what can I say, the guy does some serious work. Reborn gave me a new respect for the guy. Aromatisse was an act of desperation against shade since he made me change almost my entire team. I owned X so I had very limited experience with it and was originally going to use slurpuff. But I ended up going with aromatisse(a male I later named Fabulous) and it's insane how long he can last with some calm mind boosts and draining kiss + big root. That speed is becoming a hindrance now admittedly but he pulled his weight a lot mid-game. Purugly...now before I had Meowth who was pretty good(it took on Flobot's cradily alone and WON) up till shade when I realized she wasn't cutting it anymore. I never used glameow's line before so I figured this will be the game, and she's surprised me with how useful she's been. A speedy hypnosis user helps a lot and fake out to score those cheap hits/sturdy breakers during doubles comes in handy. She's benched ever since badge 8 but I'm thinking about getting her back up to pace again after samson.
