  1. The scene that played before him was no light matter for him to intrude on. He was, after all, just a new recruit. Once Noriko, Bark, and Nagi all appeared on this rooftop debate floor, the conversation seemed to become more intense. The Russian tried his best to follow everything and remain quiet by Kouta while Noriko sorted things out. She really was incredible, he thought, in her ability to shrug off the undertones of defensiveness everyone held towards her and the Protectors in general, and cut straight to her purpose of action. As she began to set the plan into motion, she spoke to him, and Gavriil knew that this was no matter for him to be involved in. He bowed at her words and replied, "Of course. Whatever you have planned is for the best." In the end, Gavriil knew that he was in the care of this blue-haired girl, the timid boy next to him, and the rest of those back at the base. Being involved in the mafia before, he was good at quickly forming loyalties, so he already felt like he could become a strong member of this community. Whatever lay in wait for everyone on the rooftop in the future would surely be something they all needed to be prepared for. Gavriil gave a silent charge of luck to everyone in a rare burst of sentimentality before returning his focus to analyzing the situation.
  2. If you are able to tell everything about someone's personality from a side mention of a modeling career, you need to go report your super power right away. Honestly the only way it gives you a false idea of her is if you let your imagination go wild and create a faux-worldbuilding daydream. Whether someone models or not has nothing to do with who they are.
  3. Oh, Reshiram and Keldeo are coming with Ep 15 are they? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Nah, but really, it was a fun road! I also got to try out something new by helping out!
  4. Hey hey, sorry for not being here the past few days. My days have been full to the brim with stuff (graduation, finalizing paperwork and errands for my new job). But if you wanna bunny me for anything Kouta ends up doing, that's fine. I'll be able to have a nice bout of free time late tomorrow or Saturday.
  5. Monday was a very productive day of wearing Frozen tiaras, making Russian food until 1:30 AM, and taking bad-quality selfies to document it.
  6. Gavriil let Kouta do the rest of the talking, allowing him to sit back and observe the voice speaking to them. Her final comment before revealing the lack of explosives was genuine; this really was a person getting bored of the situation. The Russian thought about the laid-back types he had met in his life, or at least those laid back enough to make such comments, and he learned from experience that these were among the top ranks in terms of power and experience. The two protectors did not seem to be on the voice's bad side, so Gavrill took a cautious step forward. Despite what he was told, he still screened the corridor for rigged explosives. After taking a few strides up the stairs, he nodded back to Kouta to signal that it was clear. He made his way to the rooftop to meet the owner of the voice that had been speaking to them. Since Kouta was still behind him, Gavriil took the liberty to speak: "Nice to meet you. I did not expect to meet such lovely lady. I am Gavriil, and the one who just spoke to you is Kouta. He is a little shy so I am sure he does not mind me introducing him." Though the reverberations from the stairwell and corridor made the accent tough to make out before, out in the open here was much more conducive to hearing his Russian heritage.
  7. You all do you but I can't approve of any idea where I'll have to share my Saphira bubbles with anyone else :U
  8. Gavriil paused and motioned for Kouta to stop. He was the junior in experience with these magical things, but he was still experienced in tight situations from his previous life. Analyzing the voice that spoke to them, the Russian decided that he had to speak lest there be some sort of misunderstanding. "Now, now. Assumptions are bad, yes? Of course we have no reason to harm you, but just as you have your precautions, you must understand that we have ours." He paused. For a moment, we have not sure if revealing their side was a poor decision, but he judged that this person probably already knew who they were. "We are two of the three that arrived late in the fight. We simply wanted to greet the person who revealed themselves after helping in the battle. It is the friendly thing to do, no?" He was not unexperienced in combat or run-ins with other parties. He could not discount the bomb threat so easily for he was knew to this scene, but the way the voice tried to speed up the conversation gave Gavriil the idea that there was some expediency desired, outside the stated purpose of having a task at hand. Regardless, the best thing to do was wait in place for a response. It wouldn't do to have a fight break out here, though why that would happen, Gavriil did not know; the politics of the situation were just beyond him, so if this person was revealed, only Kouta would know if there was any threat.
  9. Ah well, Commander, I'll hold off then. I'll live with just my PC for now, as I might not be able to dedicate enough to anything else.
  10. No, this is the place it got moved to. She originally put it in the Trainers' Journal, which is for general life stuff. Creative Writing is a forum, but if it was moved here, it's fine here, so... Well anyway, it seems neat so far. I look forward to reading, wherever it may get moved!
  11. C'mon, we all know the right answer is Mara
  12. Gavriil began to grow annoyed at the man who took his leave. He came off as arrogant, and that sort of attitude in this situation seemed unprofessional to the Russian. However, he was not one to dwell once the issue had left, so he returned his focus to the girls talking. It seemed as if they would gain some sort of temporary alliance, which could prove to be helpful to their cause. At least, from Noriko's suggestions, it seemed like a bonus; Gavriil himself was still not knowledgeable of the politics of the land there. With the leave of the rude one, the situation seemed to calm. There was still, however, the issue of the flare that Gavriil had taken notice of a few moments earlier. It seemed Noriko had ordered he and Kouta to go investigate, and so he followed Kouta's lead into the building. He prepared himself for a confrontation, for he had not been present at the fight to know what to expect from this person. Gavriil had many thoughts of the kind of scenario that might play out, but he left it to Kouta to lead the way. There did not seem to be so much worry about this person from the girl in the alley or Noriko herself, but Gavriil still was not keen on lowering his guard.
  13. Ahh, Yuki sounds fun. It would also help me stay in a creepy mood (if not creepier). Just PM me what you had in mind if this is ok.
  14. Gavriil's head swam with the events that went on. He wondered just at what point did he begin to notice there were others in the alley? He mentally admonished himself for being so careless and off his guard. Shaking off his mistakes, he steeled his nerves in order to focus more on the surroundings; there were a few other people in the alley, all of which had been transformed the moment before. Now, transformations were gradually being released, including Noriko's and Kouta's, so Gavriil followed his leader's signal and did the same. He was not so inclined to interrupt Noriko during such a heated conversation, and so did not give voice to his questions regarding the alignment of the other people present; after all, he could always ask back in the base. Regardless of the questions Gavriil left unvoiced, he still gathered some information of his own from listening. This beast that they had encountered (supposedly, for Gavriil remained unsure if he had seen it in the first place) was an abnormality, and one that could give Noriko worry, at that rate. It was at this point that Gavriil remembered Kouta might actually be able to answer in his leader's stead. The Russian turned to the boy next to him and looked at him inquisitively, as if to say, "What is going on, and who are these people?"
  15. The best thing I can suggest for this puzzle is to do all the Bouffalants first, because you can do those without needing the honey. Once you clear all the Bouffalants, go through the entrances methodically (I'd say, do the top first because it's shorter, and go from left to right or right to left), and see where you can and can't reach on foot. Once that's done, go through the places you can reach on Tauros. It's a lot of backtracking, sure, but it's necessary. As for that log, it requires the tree, not a Bouffalant.

  17. Mm, sorry 'bout the short post. But Hakumen isn't a central character at this point so it's mainly just a transition should he receive orders
  18. Hakumen - Rotom-F (Permafrost Kingdom) The commander halted his troop's drills at the arrival of the earthquake. Most of his forces were levitating Pokemon anyway, himself included, but the event managed to disturb the minds among them. "Now, now. Calm down and help the others protect the bridge and our camp." Hakumen spoke dismissively as he floated back to the group of Brandon, Surodnal, Artemis, Roht, and the King. He was not among the group that was to travel, but he was still a loyal servant of his King. The Frost Rotom did not say much in this exchange, for he had no stake in the situation. As a commander, he still had to follow the orders of his lord and as such waited to the side of the conversation. Hakumen was well aware that the King would address him if he so desired.
  19. Last I remember, you had the two Cryogonal from Permafrost meet up after their runs, waiting for Artemis and the Vanilluxe, but Artemis returned to base and the Vanilluxe is nowhere to be seen. But no PCs, I think.
  20. Gavriil noted Kouta again as the party ventured into a part of town. He thought about it and realized this was the first time we had been outside. Taking in his surroundings, he felt small among the urban sprawl. There was also the fact that he was only being dragged everywhere, and as of yet had no time to act on his own. Though, he supposed that was to be natural until he was competent enough to hold himself in these new types of battle. Kouta seemed put off by the choice in route, which struck as strange to Gavriil; judging by the looks of it, they were going into a nicer part of town. The Russian would have guessed that the timid Kouta would prefer such choices, although that was of course without knowledge of the habits of their enemies or what things needed to be looked out for. Gavriil was still very much a newbie in this all--it was only his first day, after all. Yet, Noriko seemed to have a reason to bring the two along, and so bring them along she did. Gavriil did not complain as usual, and simply registered Kouta's complaints as they moved onward. After what felt like a long walk was a sharply contrasting scene in length. The beginning of the battle happened so fast that Gavriil was not even sure it had begun at all. He took Noriko's words to heart but was stopped suddenly with her touch. Kouta stepped back and seemed to acquire some armor from somewhere, but Gavriil found his feet firmly rooted in place, perhaps by confusion. It was a strange feeling to him, as if he was reading a book; his character was standing there, but he could not control it. Looking on in the third person, Gavriil saw all that went on in Noriko's dance with the devil. It was not that he was scared, but rather that the situation was quite sudden. Either way, the Russian knew that the blue-haired girl could handle herself. If Gavriil had attempted to step in at that moment anyway, he probably would have gotten in her way. Kouta has seemingly transformed and was waiting on standby for something, so Gavriil finally took control of himself and leapt back to his line. And, without realizing it, Gavriil had transformed; he had not focused on it at all, but rather he just found himself in that state. Perhaps it was the atmosphere and excitement of the situation that did it. While the mechanics of it were fascinating, Gavriil was also worried that his transformation would hinder the recovery of his energy that Noriko had wanted.
  21. I got that Lunatone power. Seriously though, it was amazing on my team and ended up taking out so many threats. Cosmic Power is amazing. Lunatone's already got great SpD bulk and this just helps cover its bases. It was a plus that I had Mist Mamo on my team, so I had the best doubles strats I've ever had in the game. 3 turns to max defenses? Thank you! Charge Beam (thanks Julia) is good coverage and gets it that SpA boost. Even though it's only a % chance, you'll be bulk enough to tank hits til you get that sweep going with boosts. Psychic it gets at 29. Not too late, and it's great STAB of course Moonblast! I love this move. Even gave my Lunatone a Pixie Plate for most of it. With ORAS it gets this at level 0 so you don't have to wait til 50! Once it got that bulk and sweep going, Moonblast/Psychic wrecked face. I have grown to appreciate my space rock.

  23. I wholeheartedly agree with Mael. Agatha Christie is my favorite author. Hercule Poirot is one of my favorite characters in literature of all time. If you haven't already, I suggest The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and Murder on the Orient Express, the latter of which was adapted to the screen which Mael might have seen. I also have a collection of 50 of her short stories that are great to read (some are from other collections like the labors of Hercules ones). Anyway, Christie aside, my favorite series ever is the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. It's just... wonderful. It has all the fantasy you want from medieval-ish scenarios with magic and all that jazz, but it also has an exceptional plot and array of characters. The world is nice and extensive as well. Also, the books are pretty long, and there are about 11 of them I think. But it's not afraid to discuss more adult topics, which I think gives the world more depth and realism (I mean things like rape and the like).
  24. What's your favorite thing about Dan (Blind Guardian)? - [5/21/2015] He's the only guy cool enough to talk to me about grills :]
