Ame is the new gym guide. I just found out there's a flashing thingy in the circus backroom where Ame gave info about Ciel.

In that field Sludge Wave does additional Water type damage, hence why it's super effective against a Charizard but not against Noivern. For me I beat it with my prankster Whimsicott Stun Spore, then it got paralyze hax so I could add a Leech Seed, Whimsicott went down, then I deducted it would probably be poison water like it's surroundings so Galvantula with Electroball managed to take it out quite fast, of course with a added damage because the surrounding water conducting the electricity. It was quite easy. On topic of the difficulty of other PULSE mons, Avalugg was quite easy because Houndoom + Flamethrower(even PULSE Ava don't like no special moves) The Tangrowths were harder but if you managed to use Poison Spikes before they switch in, like with the last 2 it gets easier. PULSE Muk was quite hard because I didn't have any good mons on me, pulse Abra was the hardest because of the level gap imo.. But we still have the Clawitzer and Mime and whatever is in Agate to deal with, so...

Toxic spikes is almost always a good option to have. Except maybe against teams that have poison healers.

The manga is awesome, good story (up to platinum for me, the start of BW bored me a bit so I quit reading it) I love how the first 4 gens interacted with each other at some point. Good character development and it helps putting a story behind the player characters. That interaction stopped when platinum finished. Of course, gen 5 being completely separate from the other regions it makes sense but I'm not a big fan of the whole story of Unova so I couldn't be bothered.

Yeah it's gotten a bit bad over the years, especially his companions in Unova and Kalos aren't that great plus too much time between the gym battles which are quite good themselves. You can look up which episodes feature the fun battles and just watch those. However this is the anime where type match ups don't matter and super effectiveness doesn't do jack shit. My fave battle must have been against Roxy tho. Made Scolipede one of my fave mons

Bug of course! - Volcarona - Shuckle (although I'd like to try Crustle sometime) - Yanmega - Heracross(mega) (if not Scizor) - Scolipede - Galvantula Other options include Vivillon , Pinsir, Masquerain, Vespiquen, and I've never used Escavelier or Accelgor before.

Technically Gyarados is a flying type thus usable in a mini flying. I don't get why I never see it mentioned or in monotype battles in showdown

Fairy not being weak to Bug. No bugs being able to learn surf, and only a legendary bug and a very rare bug can learn Fly. The incredibly off putting Pokemon sizes, (Yanmega is 1.90m, while Charizard is 1.50 or something.) I get that Japanese people are incredibly short and these seem big, but to a western man of 1.90 tall I feel Charizard would have to fly on me or else I'd get PETA on my tits. (honestly, finding out the real height of certain anime characters has destroyed many of my expectations.)

I also think that with Abomasnow the black doesn't really work. How about white as a base with the colored crystals? I don't know I feel that even though it's shiny it should still retain their original feel. Abomasnow is a very hard one to do in my opinion though.

Wouldn't you rather go for two Pokemon that aren't available before you're halfway through? Such as Frillish or Golett?
