Bug! Bugs can be very awesome, lots of different decent early ones like Ledian, Masquerain, Vivillion, Leavanny and Scolipede. Plus it gets hard soon with so many types resisting bug moves.

Just wondering, everyone has their favourites, but maybe out of strategic eyepoint you choose an other starter in a second (or even later) playthrough. For people who've done the game with multiple starters, share your experiences, your favourites, and let the games commence! For me personally, Mudkip was an easy choice. I've always liked Swampert for it's typing. Knowing the first gym was Electric type around 16, Marshtomp came in as a beast, too.

On some occasions, like some events where you have to wait, it could be handy to be able to just go to the forums and lurk/post, or watch some porn a youtube video while the game just continues, but not that necessary right? I think the game runs fast enough in battles to not have enough time to even check something (unless it's Quiver Dance or Ominous Wind/Silver Wind/Ancient Power stat boosts.

I played it twice and the first time the twins got taken because I stayed downstairs, the second time I went upstairs and Laura got taken. Never knew Saphira could get taken too. Wait, if she gets taken how does she end up with the giant Steelix?

Yes, I can confirm that in Episode 14 it's a swamp field. But let me tell you this: you can use it against him. As long as your Pokemon outspeed his it's pretty easy, PLUS if you slap some Nature Powers on your Pokemon it also gets a bit easier, as it turns into Muddy Water which also gets a boost in power. If your Pokemon don't outspeed his Pokemon from the start, then yeah you can be pretty fucked in there, since poison moves also get increased in power. But if you post your team we could help you with a strategy perhaps? -
Train up Fearow to 47, get drill peck, level down with common candy. Drill Peck for me(on Dodrio tho) helped A LOT against Aya, cuz it's STAB and quite strong. Ralts wouldn't be any good there, since Psychic doesn't resist Poison or Ghost, Gardevoir would die as soon as it's hit. Set up Ampharos against Tentacruel to take it out with charge beam(or two), Ludicolo fake out on Nidoqueen, followed by Bubble. from then, probably pray, but if you have drill peck on Fearow you can take out quite a few. I believe just like Dodrio it doesn't go down that fast so good luck. Especially Venusaur won't be able to take a drill peck to the face.

I believe the new ability isn't random, but instead it just shifts to the second. so for instance Meowstic M with Keen Eye first goes to Infiltrator and then Prankster, back to Keen Eye. I don't think it can go from Keen Eye to Prankster but I'm not entirely sure. Most Pokemon I had the first ability on I had to have 2 to get the hidden one (in case of 3 abilities)

Actually, the flying type is paired with every other type in the game, a unique feat(until Volcanion was confirmed and Water got it too) So I do believe HM's aren't much trouble, Charizard, Ledian, Archeops, Togekiss, Tropius and Altaria can learn Rock Smash, Almost the same ones can also learn Strength. Swanna can learn Surf, plus you could go back to an older episode to get Magikarp since Gyarados IS officially Water and Flying type.

Gothitelle's 'hair' doesn't have to be the same as the 'dress', right? You could do much more different things if you do the 'hair' black and the 'dress' pink or something.

I would love it if like the pre-adventure story would be written down. Maybe a timeline of all major events the past 10 years and then the protagonist arrives and the story then is (still) undecided. Would save a lot of questions haha. Like when did Cal become the gym leader? How old is he, anyway? Must be around the protagonists' age give or take a few years if Vicky has a crush on him.

pretty much keep following the path. It's hard to explain but you just have to continue the path. You'll end up outside for a bit as part of it, there'll be one or two big satelite dishes there. then go inside again and follow the path further.
