Well, see? Even with the AI cheating most leaders are quite easy. Charlotte might make you rage at first, but once you get the hang of it + take some tips from the forum you'll breeze through it too.

I thought Ameria and Titania shared the gym?

This looks cool!! But.. Warswing? Who's that Pokémon? *sorry didn't read all of the 33 pages* But I'll definitely play it! *looks for downloadlink*

Although in some other thread I mentioned eating pets is wrong, After thinking it through, I was really hungry for some good ol' Spearow McNuggets, A Tauros Black Angus and fried Octillery Rings. You like Remoraidsticks? Then you're a gay Remoraid!

I'd have to say Normal. I personally hate the Normal type, but there are some amazing powerhouses in the Normal tier. Wide movepools, and STAB on some of the strongest attacks like Hyper Beam, Double-Edge and many more I can't think of right now, Normal is a very strong type. Could be me personally, but Norman, Lenora and Noel gave me the most trouble out of any gym leaders in any game.

I'd be in a region where gym leaders don't have a set type. 8th Gym: A large building with many Pokemon running around. As the challenger enters the gym, they'll be welcomed by one or more of my Pokemon, bringing them to a sign that tells them I'm out till a certain time of day, and where I could be found/contacted. A PokeGear number is on it too. The challengers calls me for a challenge, but as I pick up I'm stuck somewhere and the challenger has to save me first. Back at the gym I will thank the hero with a battle that is still pretty tough. "Thank you very much, [player]. Out of gratitude for saving my life, you may choose whether we have a Double Battle or a Singles Battle." My team: Froslass, Flygon, Galvantula, Whimsicott, Houndoom and Tentacruel. Last Pokemon: "Not today Satan, not today!" Defeated: "This was fun. Not only are you good at saving lives, but you're also a strong battler. I hereby present you the Team Badge, for showing how well your team works together. Is this your Eighth Badge? Ah, congratulations! I wish you the best of luck in your Elite 4 Challenge! If you ever want to battle again, don't hesitate to call or drop by! Bye Felicia! *tonguepop*"

While drooling over Ame's drawn map of the Reborn Region, I realized something pretty major. The desert. Since there was only 1 mention of it so far in the game, and only by the man standing at that gate, I wondered if we're ever going to visit it? Since we know the locations of the gyms still to come are in Reborn City, Agate, Agate Circus, Celestine Cascade and in Labradorra, I was wondering how the story will bring us into the desert? At first I thought the Ground/Rock type gyms would both be there, but since that ain't happening, how will it? And yes, I would like spoilers

When was the last time you were there tho? I do believe I have never seen anything different from the sky/that cloud whenever I was up there.

Yup, that's the idea behind a Gen challenge. Catch ALL the Pokemon from one Generation and don't use any Pokemon that aren't from your Generation. The second I saw that he has Gen 2 I was like: Well, that's gonna be hard. Since it only has like 100 Pokemon and IMO not many good ones either, it could get hard. When I played Chrystal I sacked Totodile immediately for a Psyduck when I could. Only used gen 1 Pokemon.

Whimsicott being one of my favorites, I like Cotton Candy the most. Maybe try with the horns and the star matching the colors more like magenta or fuchsia?

Gen 1 mechanics aren't hard. I read the description of the Glitch Field in the Library back in Beryl when I was there, and still remembered everything. Just reading it once on the website will bring your mind straight back to gen 1. Though he doesn't have much good against ground... or Psychic for that matter. I wouldn't be surprised if he sent out Scrafty thinking it will resist Psychic. Bug types are really good in Reborn, Galvantula and Scolipede saved me plenty of times.

It''s true, I found Luna and Radomus both very easy. Since I like slightly fast Pokemon, Radomus was a cakewalk since he's so slow. I hit all his Pokemon before he could set up his precious Trick Room. That Bisharp isn't a problem. It's slow, weak to Fire, Ground, Fighting, easily outmatched. When I was there she sent out Bisharp and Tiranitar after eachother. I just let my Mamoswine take both of em down one shot. Honchkrow is also slow, so a Icicle Crash to the beak and it was done. Malamar, Sableye one word: Signal Beam. (twice for Sableye) And Umbreon, even with it's bulk, barely a problem for Galvantula.

That about the Gym leaders isn't true, they only have like 4. And from personal experience I haven't had over grinding and never used common candies.... Magby has been placed later in the game. You can get one in Calcenon.

What kind of cruel sadist eats his Pokemon?
-
Let me plead my case: Electrike > Joltik. It evolves at 26 compared to Joltik's 36. Giving a way stronger Pokemon being fully evolved. Joltik might have some use against Florinia and Shelly with bug/electric moves but it won't be of much use with Corey, Kiki, and Aya. I think it's more balanced than Electrike honestly. Plus it would just seem right to have a Joltik sapping Electricity from the power plant. Just slap Electrike in a spider web on route 1 and call it a day Also, look at how cute it is!

I'm happy for him that he made it. Unfortunately I facepalmed when he got to the circus, which was right to do and then goes like: "I should pause the playthrough to see where Dive is" and then he just goes on all the way down Route 2 still without dive... At this point I'm really unsure if I should be angry at him or pity the fool....

By the way welcome to the forums, don't forget to introduce yourself in the grand hall.

[WIP] How to beat every Gym leader in Pokemon Reborn
Helia replied to LittleDevilex's topic in Reborn City
Trapinch learn Bulldoze at 21, so Flygon can have it. Or was it an other video? -
still, they've been down there quite long now. Should've thrown some food down the cascade too

Wow, thanks for making me feel bad about myself utilizing my whole team and walking out with only one barely hanging on for dear life. Never knew I could just burn up the entire ffin forest. -
Well don't party too hard before having given it the ultimate test, gym battles. Although yes, they're good Pokemon at first, I boxed mine after repeated failure.

Let Joltik replace Electrike at the powerplant

Likes: Story, difficulty, puzzles, having to really use your brain to do everything. Dislikes: although I like the options for different short stories by small decisions, it'd be better to actually get that part of information later on anyway. Through the forums I noticed how some small decisions opened a new battle and new information as alternate story, but I hope to get that info in game too (like the story of Dr.Connal's sister in the Yureyu building or the battle with Aster in Ametrine).

Rigged or not, many people have gone before you and prevailed, so so can you! why only four pokemon tho?
