    I was just going to comment about this. You need to do @poklevel = nil when adding experience.

    Apparently, it is possible to beat the new gym by spamming Cotton Candy and letting the opponent faint due to hail. At least when there's one mon left and your team has nothing better to do due to being one-hitted.

      Or soft reset many times, till the new leader starts switching and healing instead of attacking you. 100% victory chance. ;)

    So, my brother has this problem. He didn't encounter the ambush and skipped all dialogues. Now Corey is not in his gym. Where could he be? It might be relevant that he defeated Tangrowth without previously rescuing all policemen.
