  1. A random question: Has there ever been a time where you went "too far" in a Roleplay? For example, I was a dirty cop who enjoyed torture practices in a detective roleplay and one of the other players told me to stop because I made them physically ill, uncomfortable, and angry everytime I acted. I couldn't apologize enough...

Oh my god... xD Only Ame would have these sort of traumatic experiences...

That sounds utterly terrible and I'm sorry to hear that you were harassed by a pervert. I very much hope that the fool eventually stopped pursuing his atrocious fetishes at your expense, haha.

I don't think i've ever really gone 'too far' but, admittingly i have been a part of plenty of RP's that have gotten bloody.

  2. Ahh, hello Rinnol! While I'm more than certain the others can help you out more than me, I'm always available as both a friendly face and a good listener. I'm glad to see another person with a fondness for roleplaying, haha.
  3. At least Lieutenant Timms appears to be straight and to the point, thought Richard as he considered scratching his beard before stopping such unprofessional behavior. He needed to appear solid and unrelenting if he was to be taken seriously, after all. Richard eventually came out of his own thoughts long enough to realize that he was attracting stares from the others around him. At this realization, Richard immediately adjusted his stance and posture in order to appear as professional and in control as he possibly could. If they must stare, let it be at a servant of justice. Let their eyes fall upon the only Gifted that will protect Trevalus from his cursed kin. To lack conviction and presence is irresponsible of a protector of the innocent. I cannot falter.
  4. Delita Hyral from Final Fantasy Tactics is probably my favorite character in video games, although Ramza Beoulve from the same game is also up there, haha. Something about an underdog story mixed with "ends justify the means" politics really made him seem human and tragic.
  5. Congratulations Murdoc and Hilda! I am more than certain that you'll both be excellent Moderators!
  6. Hmm, I'll wait at least one more day before deciding on the winner. I am already having a hard time deciding which of the two submissions to pick already, haha! EDIT: Alright, it's the "deadline" so I must pick between the two submissions here! First off, the OST of Persona 4 is perhaps one of my favorites as all of it's music sets the mood excessively well. Particularly, Face Myself is probably one of the best battle themes I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, and the variations of it throughout the game really drive home it's theme of accepting yourself. Now as for what most people call "The Halo Theme", I had quite the blast of nostalgia as the powerful strings and percussion built up one of the most epic songs in gaming history! I will always remember the rush I felt whenever I heard that leitmotif throughout the Halo series which signaled the arrival of the conquering hero. It's always so sad that I can only select one winner for this game, as all of the pieces put forward are a treat, haha. This time around, I'll pass the baton over to EXLink32, as the decision came down to personal preference after how strained my decision making factors became for this. (Ahh, so many game soundtracks to listen to now, haha.)
  7. Richard wasted no time as soon as The Headmaster finished his explanation. While he didn't expect an upstanding individual like this "Lieutenant Timms" to listen to the paranoia of a dog, it was his duty to report any disturbances to Trevalus; whether the actual crimes have transpired or not. He immediately got in The Scales' line, steadying himself for a discussion with a superior. There's no reason to bother with the other parties. I already serve The Scales, The Swords are short-sighted hotheads, and The Shields... Richard started to feel physically ill at the sheer thought of The Gifted united under one banner. What bothered Richard the most about this situation was the presence of those sigils. I figured they would have some fail safe against eavesdropping, but now I truly have no way of knowing what corrupt ideals The Shields are spreading. It was then that Richard formulated an idea for how he would acquire the information he needs about the other two parties. While the beasts might have a hard time hearing with their swelled, arrogant skulls, I am more than certain that the proper authority will get them to talk. All in due time though. Richard considered his options as he moved forward in line.
  8. Why hello there Xander95! While there are many people here who can help you far more than me, I'm always here as both a friendly face and a good listener. Though you might not need that much help, as you seem to already know your way around here, haha.
  9. No... Richard's eyes went wide with shock and horror at the statement of The Headmaster. The Gifted were already something to be feared and hated with power that tempted them to destroy and defile. How could The Parties be fool enough to allow this!? It is already within our grasp to conquer with our horrid abilities, but now they invite us wolves to stalk their homes undeterred? His hands balled into fists as his knuckles turned white; his eyes darting throughout the crowd to see if his fears were already reaching fruition. It was then that The Headmaster continued his statement regarding "free discrimination" of The Gifted by employers. Richard had a pause in thought, the gears turning in his mind as he attempted to play Devil's Advocate to this supposed compromise. You have already given the dogs an inch, they will not damn well be content unless they have a mile! Richard once again relaxed his grip and allowed his eyes to return to a visage less filled with wild instinct. To him, The Gifted were discriminated against already, but this showed that the people of Trevalus didn't fear them nearly enough. He could already see it now: The Swords would most likely turn away most, if not all Gifted while The Scales would employ Gifted in a similar fashion to how he was given a role. The Shields... Amongst all of the political parties, they would no doubt accept the majority of The Gifted. Upon doing so, The Gifted would finally have solidarity; they would be able to work with one another to change Trevalus in their favor. They would be unstoppable. A cold sweat broke out over Richard's body as the light left his eyes. Momentarily, The Headmaster concluded his speech, mentioning that those who wished to join a party may do so within the School, and retired. It was then that the world slowed down for Richard, as the crowds that either left or entered the School drifted around him. Richard then set his gaze straight and his jaw firm, regaining his composure and steeling his resolve. I will confirm my suspicions within. I cannot falter. With that, Richard began his march toward the School with grim determination.
  10. I must say, the interactions between Elemus and Lucille are priceless, haha! And this news about Gifted being allowed into politics will make Richard even more... Fun. (As I'm sure you're all aware by now just how fun he is, haha)
  11. Well, that's unexpected! It would seem I have a talent for this, haha. Hmm, this request might be a bit more... Awkward. What I seek is an example of a leitmotif being used between multiple pieces (Minimum of 2). A leitmotif is a musical theme that is carried over between multiple pieces, whether it be a melody or a verse that multiple pieces share. I definitely feel like this might be one I'll need to provide an example for, haha. 1st Piece 2nd Piece 3rd Piece 4th Piece 5th Piece Within these musical selections, you'll notice the leitmotif within as it demonstrates "power to be feared", for lack of a better description. Anyways, I hope this isn't too ridiculous to ask, haha!
  12. Grip. Release. Grip. Release. Grip... Grip, damn you! Richard stared intently at his right hand, focusing all of his energy into closing the fingers into a fist and releasing them. I am not focused enough. I cannot falter now, not now! His arm strained as his veins bulged, catching the attention of a child nearby who's confusion only increased as they caught a glimpse of Richard's intense expression. Slowly but surely, the fingers clenched into a grip and slowly released as Richard let out a sigh of relief. Good, good. I can still do this much. Richard starts to relax until he immediately corrects his posture and focuses on the building before him. Such carelessness regarding his posture was unbecoming of someone like Richard. I am a servant of the people. I am their monster to command. The only abomination they can count on. I must persevere in all aspects if I am to be worthy of my duty. His right arm, guided by is left, came to a proud parade rest as he surveyed the surrounding crowd. He had to remain vigilant while their were freaks about. The born sinners, the arrogant savants, the cursed Gifted; their inherited taint is what will drive Trevalus to ruin if left unchecked. I cannot falter. My curse is all that stands between the innocent and the bastards. Eventually, his piercing, lime-green gaze rested on the steps of that building: the false cage that only pretended to hold back the wicked. This meeting is their doing after all, so the distinct possibility of an announcement related to the Gifted was a given. The only question was what exactly their game was this time. Admittedly, Richard felt somewhat in The Headmaster's debt. After all, The Scales repealing of the law banning Gifted from serving in the police force must have been thanks to that man. However, that doesn't change the fact that it was The Scales who gave him his opportunity at the end of the day, not The Headmaster or those fool Shields. He may not have been a politician, but as a civil servant, Richard knew that their games would only make his duty more difficult. Grip. Release. Grip. Release. I cannot falter. I live to serve. I cannot falter.
  13. Gah, the conundrum of only being able to select one song, haha! Hmm, I think this would be it if I had to pick, haha.
  14. Hmm, I feel like I might be applying unnecessary statements towards "rhetorical statements" as of late, haha. It's somewhat an annoyin habit of mine to chime in on these things, so I apologize if it's been grating on any nerves, haha!

  15. Ahh, it's snowing! I simply must enjoy this wonderland, haha! The paradise of purity! The refreshing frost! It's this cold that breathes life into my very being! I'll stop now before I start to scare anyone, haha.

Yep, that's a teleporter alright. You better start working on port A, while I start building port B. And they totally have to connect to each other by wifi signal, as in, totally. And then you just put A outside your house, and then I put B outside my house, and we sit back to profit.

And then we can, y'know, sell the invention and become billionaires, haha!

Ahh, what a pleasant fantasy. If only I had useful intelligence like for Math and Science but I only have spiritual nonsense, haha.

Duh, math and science are overestimated, imagination and will are the ones that matter, so take all that spiritual nonsense and turn it into a teleporter, haha.

  16. In that case, I hope Kohryu isn't taken yet, haha! But I can see where this name situation might act as a form of deterrent...
  17. Hmph, people will find any minority to look down upon so long as it serves to unite a populace with lazy means like hate and ignorance! Absolute equality will never be an easy thing to achieve, but it's my belief that it's something humanity should strive for! If signing this petition is a way of working towards this goal, then I must sign no matter how small my power to change the world is! Ahh, my emotions appear to have gone out of hand again, haha.
  18. Gah, I'm having a hard time thinking of one particular theme to encompass Reborn as a whole! Though I certainly tend to run a Hideki Naganuma/Skankfunk playlist on loop when I play, haha.
  19. I can imagine, haha! Today, I learned that Vitamin-D Milk tastes way better than 2%! Though I suppose that's more of an opinion than a fact, haha.
  20. Swanna has become one of my favorite Pokémon because of Reborn. It's useful move pool and wonderful typing has saved my team on many an occasion, haha.
  21. Ahh, this one sounds like quite a bit of fun! I'll see if I can bring something to the table, haha.
  22. Ahh, welcome to Reborn, Dama! I'm not quite as helpful as the other regulars here, but I'm always willing to lend my services as both a friendly face and a good listener. I hope he profession of Game Designing takes you far, especially if you apply your knowledge of Psychology to you work, haha.
  23. I too am supportive of Showdown for similar reasons already stated, however I'm not entirely sure that my opinion should hold clout in this decision. Mainly, I believe this because I've not been around PO long enough to have grown attached to it, nor have I been part of this community for so long either. So overall, take that as you will, haha!
  24. Ahh, some Uematsu to compliment my Sakimoto, haha! I was considering waiting for more submissions, but it seems like 3 is about the magic number. First off, both the trailer theme for Spirit Tracks and Scherzo di Notte from EXLink32 and Jericho respectively have string instruments in them which gives them a great advantage due to my bias for such sounds, haha. (Bonus points for Scherzo for the timpanis) However, Mesa Tank Super Freeze Attack (a name that could only be from Godzilla or a Sentai, haha) very much represents the three qualities I had requested. What it lacks in instruments I love, it has in brass and boisterous tones! Overall, I must give this victory to Maelstrom for accuracy and for reintroducing me to a style of music I haven't thought of in a while, haha. (Though I did spend some time revisiting Kingdom Heart's OST and started to look up more of Spirit Track's OST! Thanks EXLink32 and Jericho, haha!)
