  1. Sorry if I'm intruding on the Sign-up ground here, but I'm not really familiar with the source material at all aside from what I read at the top. I was wondering if all possible "slots" have already been taken up or if there was still the possibility of joining this. Once again, I really hope I'm not intruding on designated Sign-up only space with this silly question, haha.
  2. Ahh, sorry about such a late welcome from me, haha! I'm glad to see another long and detailed welcome; it makes me feel a little bit left out, haha. Anyways, they've all already told you anything you need to know when it comes to helpful guys. I guess all I can say now is that I'm here as a friendly face and a good listener! Also, I respect the mostly Fire team in a game like Reborn, but I wish I could do that with Ice or Steel, haha.
  3. Ahh, so this is where the information for this event was, haha! Please disregard my questioning nature in the application thread then. Anyways, this seems like it'll be a lot of fun! I can't wait to be a gullible lackey who'll eventually get backstabbed by those he trusted, haha.
  4. I'm not sure what this is all about, but I'm always up for a fun surprise, haha! Forum Name: GotWala Length of Time on Reborn: Only about 2 weeks, haha. Favorite Game Genre: Adventure/RPG Notable Skills: I'm passably fit, can apparently qualify for an Intelligence Job in the US Navy (94 on the ASVAB), good at mediating conflict, good at investigative-type puzzles/games, can read well into college level material, know basic first aid and a bit beyond (How to treat and clean a bullet wound), know CPR, and I know a decent bit about survival techniques. Does that seem alright, haha? Hobbies: Walking, general computer things (games/browsing), gaming, roleplaying, and hanging around friends. Best Trait: My ability to analyze Worst Trait: Self-confidence Describe Yourself in One Sentence: A soon-to-be sailor who would do anything for a friend and is easily manipulated, haha. Why We Should Pick You to Play Survivor Reborn: I figured this would be something fun to do, and I really like group events like this, haha. I'd like to think I'd be an interesting "character" for a drama like this, and wouldn't mind any developments, even the negative ones. That, and I'd like to know what this is even about in greater detail, haha!
  5. Let's see... I've heard Stealth Rock referred to as Sneak Pebbles so I've called it that ever since, haha.
  6. Ahh, Hello Algerian Pokémon Trainer! As ZephyrEnyalios said, there are plenty of people here who can help you out here in the Reborn Forums. While those people could help you more than I, I'm still here to offer my services as a friendly face and as a good listener, haha.
  7. Ahh, BotanicSage is my jam, haha! I'm happy to be eating my grandparents home cooking after about a year, haha.
  8. I think one of the best parts about Pokemon Reborn is that it gives me a new found appreciation for pokemon I would've never used, haha.

      Lost Lore

Reborn has taught me this lesson very well. The best way to warm up to something is to use it for yourself~

  9. Haha, welcome then! I'm sure there are others who can help you out more than me, but I'm always here as a friendly face and a good listener, haha.
  10. Indeed, haha! It was probably my favorite part of Earthbound when your playing as Jeff. Ahh, now I'm reminiscing about Earthbound again... And about how awesome Jeff was when I used him... Good times, good times, haha.
  11. Hello everyone! Chrono-Explo has created a thread under the Roleplaying section as both an interest check and sign-up for a Dungeons and Dragons game he has created. For those of you interested, please go there and show your support. Just figured I'd let people know, haha.

  12. Hello Chrono-Explo! I'd enjoy a good game of D&D, but how often are we going to be having sessions? This is something rather important I'd like to know, haha.
  13. Haha, I'd love to keep chatting with you all! Oh, and I apologize for the long intro Cowtao; I just figured I might as well be detailed, haha. Oh, and yes, Tessie is pretty adorable in his own goofy way, haha!
  14. Ahh, welcome back! Well I'm almost certain someone else could easily help you out with anything you need here, I'm more than happy to lend my services as both a good listener and a friendly face, haha. I hope your time here is as pleasant as mine is!
  15. Haha, my players beat the first Gym Leader in my PTA/U game! I suppose depending on how much they seem to like it, I might try it here too... I guess only time will tell, right?

Ahh, sorry! Yes it is, actually! Though it uses rules like D&D instead of just roleplaying, haha. http://forums.pokemontabletop.com/site/

That link should be were the rules can be downloaded from. I recommend using the PTU rules, though the PTA trainer rules are much simpler, haha.

  16. Yeah, I wouldn't be caught dead wearing the BW2 male protagonists visor with that poofy, brown hair, haha! I'd like to say I'd also relate to the Male Veterans, but I don't feel like I'm worthy of the mantle of adulthood just yet, haha. (The XY Veteran design is my favorite by far amongst them)
  17. This sounds like fun! Might as well find out what you think I am, haha.
  18. I haven't been here for very long, but I'm still happy to hear things like this! It's beautiful whenever someone overcomes the struggles in life and can be better for it. To have garnered such a level of inspiration from Reborn is astounding. The best part about all of this is that you've still got a lot of life left to live, and things are already looking up!
  19. Haha, awesome! I match with Cain! Though I'm also close to Aya, which wouldn't be too bad. It'd be a lot like how I was in middle school and the beginning of high school, haha.
  20. Ahh, fantastic! I'll definitely have to look into that, especially considering how much depth the 2nd story had that I may have missed, haha. As for a Western, think of it less as a "world" and more as a "way of life". Basically, you can capture the feel of a Western in any format, but I can understand if the feel of one isn't something your a fan of. I hope to see what you create in the future!
  21. Pokémon Trainer Hilbert- Hilbert here looks EXACTLY like I did when I was a teenager (except I have grey/blue eyes, haha) and is still my favorite main character sprite. Pokémon Black and White is also about the conflict between truth and ideals and since I also happened to own the copy where I was on the side of ideals, it continued to resonate with me. (Male) Backpacker- I'd be hard pressed to count the total number of times I've walked and walked... And walked, haha. The callous on my feet and the wear on my shoes isn't just for show! I've made it a habit to walk to almost everywhere I go, especially now that I've been paying for gas, haha! If my parents told me they couldn't drive me somewhere or wouldn't, I'd just put on my shoes and go. Hell, I even plan to have a walking tour of every state in America once I'm done in the service, however silly of a goal that is, haha. Janitor- I have a thing about "honest work for honest pay" in life. I also like to be someone who helps out without being seen, kind of like a man behind the scenes type of thing. That, and I hope to be as free-spirited and jolly as the sprite looks when I reach his age, haha! Rich Boy- Well, I can't say that my family has ever looked wealthy from an outside view, but I can assure you that we are. My father and step mother in particular are quite financially well off but only spend whenever it's truly necessary. This meant that when they did spend, it was always big. Thus, me and my siblings lived life in moderate luxury. Personally, I prefer simple living, even if it means staying on the Ramen diet, haha. Still, I can't deny this part of me that was relatively pampered. (Male) Skier- Winter is my favorite time of the year! The chilly air with the snow and ice all around always gives me this sense of clarity and reflection. The cold only serves as a reminder that I'm alive and everything feels more brisk and refreshing when it's done in another cold, winter night. I've done a bit of skiing too, and that sense of refreshing briskness is even more apparent at a fast pace! And that mountain air... Ahhh... Haha.
  22. That was certainly a way to introduce yourselves, haha! Welcome to Reborn! I can't imagine I'd be as much help as the mods or the other staff, but I'm always here as a good listener, and a friendly face, haha.
  23. Now that was a good read. Both of those short stories were great, in their own unique ways too. The first one showed a level of jadedness that struck a little close to home, though I've never experienced a level of betrayal in my life quite like that, haha! The second, while I don't actually recognize the source material, was very well done, and managed to convey the action taking place fluidly and concisely. I do love a good action scene, but many authors go a bit crazy with the length and detail, haha. I don't want to over step my bounds here, but I've come up with a few "writing exercises" to help you expand your style (Assuming that this was an attempt to not only share your writing ability, but also a way to improve upon it): 1.) Attempt to thoroughly describe the area in which the story is taking place with enough detail to make one think they are actually there. (I.E. What about the coffee shop stands out? How do the people in the coffee shop spend their time? How busy is the coffee shop? Etc.) 2.) Explore a personality for the protagonist that's normally outside of your comfort zone. (I.E. For me, I have a hard time having characters do things that I may know/think are bad ideas or think in ways that I can't normally understand, haha) In all honesty, thank you for doing something like this! I'm happy to enjoy what's the equivalent of free short stories that are entertaining and have personality to them. I'm very grateful to have had a chance to enjoy these stories, and the other that may come. Haha, sorry for getting so sappy, but it's just something I tend to do if I really feel strongly about something.
  24. Phew, good thing I'm already past those two gym leaders, haha! Sadly, that means I won't get to enjoy the challenge that those new fields could offer...
  25. If you can, get the Onix from the hiker nearby the Peridot station. It's Stealth Rock is a god send for fighting Shelly, haha.
