Thank you kindly! Thanks! Dragon116 wasn't actually a starter, though; he was just the first Pokemon I caught after starting. Glad you're happy, though! Thanks for the support! Anyway... Update #1: Commander Takes the Helm Well, the rival battle was... honestly, I couldn't tell you. When I gave Commander my save file to edit so that I could have Chinchou as my starter, he battled Cain and Victoria for me. I think the battles went pretty well, though, as when I started Commander the Chinchou was level 6 and had experience. So... yeah. Anyway, on to Fern! The team so far:

Well, in case you hadn't heard, my hard drive crashed yesterday, and I lost my poison-type monotype run that I put so much effort into. However, I've decided not to mourn the death but to celebrate the life, and so I've whipped up a new Monotype run, this time an electric-type monotype run! In it, we'll follow the adventures of Tesla, a young scientist from the Aevium region who came to Reborn to try and find a way to revive his dead sister Hemlock, who was killed during the attack on the S.S. Oceana. Anyway, here's the team so far: Here's the Pokemon in my PC: Here's the mascot of this run, made by KazeBlack as part of the Pokemon Insurgence Holon Dex: Here's the major bosses we have to fight so far: And finally, here's this run's theme song! Wish me luck! '_'7 EDIT: Welp, this is my 500th post. I'd like to thank... (Mass-Effect-style dialogue choice menu pops up) ...In all seriousness, though, I'd like to thank Ame for making this game and bringing this community together, and Commander and Solarance for making Pokemon Reborn Hardcore!
-
Thanks for the offer, but that's okay; I've made peace with my loss. However, I would like to ask you for a different favor, if you don't mind: 1) Could you send me a copy of Pokemon Reborn Hardcore? Solarance took down the main link due to that Frozen song. 2) Attached to this post is a save file for Pokemon Reborn. I'm planning on doing an electric-type monotype run, so if you could, would you mind hacking in a Chinchou for my starter?

Update #X: Hard Drive Crashes, Everybody Dies Um... heh... hi, guys... Um, you remember in July, when I had to stop my Fighting/Fairy Duotype run because my hard drive broke? Yeah... it happened again. Now, we don't know if everything on the hard drive is toast, but I'm not feeling optimistic. So, I guess that unless I'm able to recover the stuff on my hard drive, this run is officially over. Yeah. I guess Hemlock had a catastrophic heart attack or something. I'm writing this on my Mom's computer, in case you're wondering. The good news is that I uploaded my file for my Ground-type monotype run of Pokemon Rejuvenation, so that's safe. I'll get back to it once my new hard drive gets installed. Again, I'm really, really sorry. Thanks to everybody who stuck around, and I guess I'll see you in my next challenge run.

Hey, welcome! I, um, don't speak Tolkien Elvish, so I just kinda assumed you were saying "No, in Ellenath Hilar (whatever that is) nan (whoever that is) had gin (as in the alcoholic substance)". ...I need to brush up on my Elvish.

Update #40: Dancing Mad Well, the Ditto-Arceus wasn't actually all that bad; I managed to beat him on my second attempt! I led with Commander, and he tanked a judgement to badly poison the false god with a toxic. El used all of his full heals on the Arceus, but Commander just kept badly poisoning him again and again until El ran out of full heals. He fainted before he could do any damage, but at this point the Arceus was only at two-thirds health. Poison Oak came out and promptly fainted to a judgement, but he still indirectly did serious damage from toxic stall. Up next came Aileta, and she managed to survive a shadow ball long enough to get off two sucker punches before fainting to a judgement... but it didn't matter, since the false Arceus fainted from toxic damage that very turn, ending the fight! And so, with Gossip Gardevoir returned and El defeated, it's time to take on Randomus! ...This may not end well. The team so far:

Update #39: The Mark of Cain Well, Cain was actually kind of easy. I led with Cruella, and he led with Muk. Cruella tanked a ice punch and a poison jab, then fired off an acid spray, a sludge wave, and a hydro pump. Cain tried using a moomoo milk, but Cruella just took it down with a hydro pump. Up next came Cain's Samurott, so I sent out Poison Oak, who managed to outspeed and KO Samurott with a petal dance. He also put a large dent in Cain's Nidoking, but he went down fairly fast to an earth power and an ice beam. Commander came out with a hydro pump while Cain healed Nidoking, but he fainted from an earth power the next turn. Luckily, Alieta managed to KO Nidoking with a sucker punch, prompting Cain to send out his Gengar. It started to Mega Evolve, which terrified me for about three seconds... and then it got tiny. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW <3 (hack) Um, anyway, Chibi Gengar got off a disable on Orion (who I swapped Alieta out for), but it didn't effect Orion, allowing him to one-shot it with a crunch. With Gengar down, out came Galvantula, so I sent out Cain. Galvantula got off a hidden power and a signal beam, but Cain tanked it with 72 hit points to spare and finished it with two earth powers. All that remained was Cain's Absol, so I sent Alieta back out. She got smacked with a sucker punch, but did massive damage with a drain punch and gave Absol a taste of its own medicine with a sucker punch of her own, ending the fight! And so, with Gossip Gardevoir kidnapped, it's time to track her down and fight the crazy Ditto-Arceus! ...Joy. The team so far:

Next episode of my Pokemon Reborn Hardcore playthrough is up! Man, Donald Trump is a lunatic...

Update #38: Invasive Species Well, Fern wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated he would be. I led with Cruella, and he led with his Haxorus. Cruella tanked a iron tail, and did massive damage with a sludge wave, corroding the field in the process. Fern tried healing it with a berry ice cream, but Cruella just took it down with two more sludge waves! Fern's Krookodile came out next, but Cruella just took it down with a hydro pump. Fern then sent out his ace- Roserade- and I sent out our newest team member- Commander the Dragalge! He got off a sludge bomb, but took serious damage in return from an extrasensory; he then got off one more sludge bomb while Fern healed it with another berry ice cream. Since I knew Roserade would take Commander out with another extrasensory, I quickly switched him out for Orion, who soaked up the extrasensory, tanked a hidden power, and finished off the Roserade with a cross poison! Up next came Fern's Scizor, and I sent out Cain. Cain tanked two bug bites with 37 hit points left, and took the Scizor down with three earth powers! Up next came Fern's Mega Sceptile, and I sent out Alieta. Since Sceptile lost over half of its health just from switching in, Alieta was able to tank a dragon pulse with 61 hit points to spare and ended the Sceptile with a single poison jab! All that remained was Fern's Ferrothorn, so I kept Alieta on the field and had her use drain punch. Thanks to her big root, she was able to heal up more health than Ferrothorn's iron barbs took away, allowing her to take a gyro ball and finish the battle with one more drain punch! And now, we enter the most complicated route in all of the Pokemon fangames: Route 1. ...If I don't post in three days, send help. The team so far:

Holy s#@%, you actually did it. I thought I was doing good on my challenge run, but I had to temporarily revert to Normal Mode for this battle! You deserve a cookie, man.

Update #37: Defy the Legends Well, I did it. I beat Techie Johnathan. I led with Randomus, and he led with Patrat. Randomus put it to sleep with a sleep powder, then set up six quiver dances. He took it down with a signal beam, and out came Techie Johnathan's ace up his sleeve: Mega Rayquaza. Randomus put it to sleep before it could attack, then quickly finished it off with two psychics! Time to get this adventure back on track! ...Oh, I also beat Archer of the Aqua Gang. He wasn't anything to write home about; I just had Randomus set up a quiver dance and he swept almost Archer's entire team except for Blastoise, which Poison Oak took down. The team so far:

Update #36: L (See what I did there?) Well, Noel was a little anticlimactic, although that might have been because I leveled up all my Pokemon to level 55 before fighting him. Anyway, on TEH URN, I led with Cruella, and Noel led with what was arguably his most problematic Pokemon: Cinccino. Cruella survived a rock blast and unleashed a sludge wave, corroding the grassy terrain. Noel used up two of his ultra potions while Cruella wailed on him with two more sludge waves, but she fainted from another rock blast. Alieta swooped in and tried using a sucker punch... but failed, because Cinccino got healed by Noel's last ultra potions. (sigh) Luckily, the Cinccino decided not to use a multi-hit move, but instead used two hidden powers, allowing Alieta to take it down with two sucker punches and a poison jab! Up next came Noel's second-most troublesome Pokemon: Porygon-Z. I sent out Randomus, and he put the Porygon-Z to sleep with a sleep powder and set up a quiver dance, then unleashed a psychic, but Porygon-Z woke up and fired off a hidden power! Luckily, Randomus tanked it with 97 hit points left, and ended the Porygon-Z with another psychic! Noel then sent out his Lickilicky, and I had Randomus put him to sleep with a sleep powder, set up another quiver dance, and fire off a signal beam. Sadly, Lickilicky woke up and took Randomus down with a return. Luckil(ick)y, Alieta was able to outspeed the Lickilicky and take it down with a drain punch, healing back a ton of health in the process. Noel decided to send out his Staraptor next, and I sent out Orion. Orion tanked a close combat and smacked Staraptor with a crunch, further lowering its defense. Unfortunately, he fainted the next turn from a brave bird, but by this point Staraptor was so weak that Alieta was able to come in and end it with a sucker punch. Noel then sent out his Mega Pokemon... Audino? Coldn't you have given him a stronger mega, like Bird Jesus Pidgeot or Lopunny? Anyway, Alieta managed to tank a dazzling gleam and KO'd it with two poison jabs, but ended up getting overleveled, so when Noel sent out his ace (Clefable) she ignored orders and got mauled by a moonblast. Fortunately, Cain was able to come out and, while it set up a cosmic power, take it down with two poison jabs! With Noel defeated, it's time to go find Saphira! The team so far:
-
Update #35: It's Called Using Available Resources Well, I beat the PULSE Abra, but I kind of had to cheat to do it, since it would outspeed and KO all of my Pokemon with pretty much one hit. I led with Orion, one of the few Pokemon on my team who could take a hit, and he got lucky and landed a critical-hit crunch before fainting to a dark pulse and a shock wave. Alieta came out next, and almost KO'd the Abra with a sucker punch. Cruella went down fast to a psychic, and then Cain came out. This is where I cheated a little bit: I used a revive on Alieta. She came back out after Cain inevitably fainted from a psychic, but Alieta managed to take down the Abra with one last sucker punch! With the Abra down and Saphira taking down the base, let's go take on Noel for real! The team so far:

I, uh, set up a trade request in the Pokemon Rejuvenation subforum if anybody wants to check it out...

Hey, thanks! I'm trying to use as many differently-typed Pokemon as I can in this run (well, as many different types as I can in a monotype run), so I guess it got pretty naturally balanced. Anyway... Update #19: I Have No Strings To Hold Me Down Well, Marianette was a little easier than Keta, although that might be because I had more fully-evolved Pokemon than I did with Keta. Anyway, I led with Terraria, and she led with Heliolisk. It got off a flash, but Terraria managed to one-shot it with an earthquake! Up next came the most problematic Pokemon on Marianette's team: Cinccino. I sent out Giovanni, and he fainted pretty fast to a tail slap and a rock blast, although he was able to get off a rock smash. I sent Terraria back out, and he managed to tank a bullet seed and get off an earthquake, then spam earthquake, making Marianette use up two of her hyper potions. Sadly, Terraria fainted from a tail slap the next turn, causing me to slightly panic. Then miracle #1 happened: Cinccino missed a rock blast, allowing Maxine to unleash a lava plume, ending it! Up next came Marianette's Chatot, and I switched out to Jack. Jack tanked a heat wave and did massive damage with a rock blast, clipping the bird's wings. Up next came Marianette's Pyroar, and it got off a flamethrower while Jack did massive damage to a bulldoze. Marianette tried using her last hyper potion on it, but Jack managed to end it with a critical-hit bulldoze! Marianette's Porygon2 then came out, and Jack did some damage to it with a rock blast before fainting to a... hyper beam? Overkill much, Marianette? Anyway, Savage took the reins from the KO'd Jack and set up an agility while the Porygon2 recharged, then tanked a psyshock and took down Porygon2 with two stacking shots! Then came Marianette's ace and most fearsome Pokemon: Slaking. I kept Savage on the field, and he did serious damage with a stacking shot, but fainted immediately afterwards from an earthquake. Kermit, now a fully-evolved Seismitoad, stalled the Slaking for a little bit with two bounces, but I eventually gave up on bouncing over all of its attacks since it kept healing back most of the damage thanks to leftovers. Instead, I had Kermit land a mud shot and a muddy water, seriously weakening it before it blew him away with a giga impact. All I had left was Maxine, but she failed to KO Slaking with a lava plume. Just when I had given up all hope, miracle #2 happened: thanks to the accuracy drop from Kermit's muddy water, Slaking missed an earthquake! This gave Maxine enough time to end the Slaking with a critical-hit lava plume! And so, all of our friends get freed, and Marianette's mansion is revealed to be a timey-wimey oddity that doesn't actually exist... I guess... Anyway, on the Goldenleaf Town! The team so far:

Update #18: Breaking the Item Clause Well, Ren was a little easier than he was in my Fire/Fairy run, but that might be because I had more fully-evolved Pokemon. I led with Maxine, and he led with Sableye. Sableye set up a mean look, but Maxine managed to burn it with a lava plume. It then tried to recover, but Maxine did massive damage to it with an earth power. Ren tried healing it with a hyper potion, but Maxine just took out half of its health with an earth power. Unfortunately, Sableye managed to confuse her with a confuse ray and she injured herself twice, giving Sableye time to heal itself with a recover. Luckily, after taking a critical-hit shadow claw to the head, she managed to snap out of it and land a critical-hit earth power, leaving the Sableye weak enough to get taken out by burn damage! Up next came Ren's ace, his Frogadier. I sent out Terraria, and the two began trading razor leaves and water pulses. Unfortunately, Terraria got confused by a water pulse and injured himself, so I had to heal him with a moomoo milk.. only for him to injure himself again, forcing me to heal him with another moomoo milk. Luckily, Frogadier (probably going for a stylish KO) used a comparatively weaker gunk shot, allowing Terraria to tank one last water pulse and end the Frogadier with a razor leaf! Up next came Ren's Scraggy, so I sent out Savage; sadly, he only did a little bit of damage with a stacking shot before fainting to a high jump kick. Giovanni came out next, and he did better, doing some damage with a rock smash and poisoning it from poison damage before fainting to a headbutt and a high jump kick. Fortunately, Kermit was able to outspeed it and end it with a muddy water! Ren's Houndour came out next, and I kept Kermit on the field. Houndour set up a work up and unleashed a flame burst, but Kermit tanked it and ended it with two muddy waters. All that remained was Ren's most problematic Pokemon for me: Murkrow. I sent out Jack, but he took serious damage from a dark pulse and flinched, so I switched him out for Terraria, who took a dark pulse meant for Jack and fainted. Kermit came back out, and managed to survive a dark pulse with 3 hit points left and paralyzed the Murkrow with a bounce before fainting. This allowed Jack to swoop in and end the Murkrow with a rollout! Thus, I earn the right to enter Goldenleaf Town... or not, since Ren throws a hissy fit, pulls a fence out of hammerspace, and locks up the entrance gate to Goldenleaf Town. Yay. Time to go get Venam to melt it down! The team so far:

Glad to hear it! Just take your time. ...Huh. I guess that means either Noel is really easy, or the PULSE Abra is really, really hard. Joy. Anyway... Update #34: The Day the Earth Stood Steelix Well, despite being a Mega Evolution (I knew it would), the Steelix was actually kind of easy. I led with Cruella, and she got off two hydro pumps before fainting to a crunch and a stone edge. Poison Oak came out next, but he fainted from a stone edge after getting off only one petal dance. Luckily, this left it weak enough to get finished off by a sucker punch from Alieta, ending the fight! Time to end the PULSE Abra and destroy the base! The team so far:
-
Update #17: Llaw eht no, rrrrom rirrom Well, Rirrom B. was actually pretty close, but I think it was mostly because of that dang shadow Vivillon. I led with Jack, and Rirrom B. led with his Yanmega. Yanmega did some damage with an ancientpower, but Jack tanked it and took it down with two rollouts thanks to his quick claw! Up next came Rirrom B.'s Wormadam, which actually managed to outspeed Jack and finish him with a single razor leaf. Luckily, Maxine (who came out next) managed to tank one razor leaf and dodge another, then finish off the Wormadam with two lava plumes! Up next came Rirrom B.'s most difficuly Pokemon to deal with: his shadow Vivillon. I switched out to Terraria, and he did massive damage to it with an earthquake before fainting two two shadow rushes. Savage came out next, and further weakened it with a quick attack before fainting to a shadow rush. Up next came Giovanni, but amazingly, it knocked itself out from hyper mode damage before Giovanni could get an attack off! All that remained was Rirrom B.'s Accelgor, so I sent out Kermit. He fainted from two mega drains, but he did manage to get off a bounce before fainting. I sent out Maxine, and she tanked a swift with 14 hit points to spare and unleashed a mighty lava plume, ending the fight! In addition, she ended up evolving! Yay! The team so far:
-
Update #16: Kingdra Come Well, the Kingdra statue battle was actually kind of easy, but I think it was just because Jan didn't anticipate a simple trick that I used to defeat it. I led with Jack, but he quickly fainted to two surfs after getting off one bulldoze. Then Kermit came out, and this is where the trick began: I had swapped his ability to water absorb, and thanks to that ability and his typing he was pretty much immune to anything the Kingdra could have thrown at him. Because of this, I had him take his sweet time, paralyzing the Kingdra with a bounce and then chipping away at it with several mud shots. Eventually, it fell, earning me the right to enter the settlement in the forest! Time to stock up on moomoo milk! The team so far:
-
Update #15: Scouting Ahead Well, for a mono-fire user going against a mono-ground user, Amaria was actually put up a pretty good fight. I led with Jack, and she led with Ninetails. Jack instantly got confused and smacked himself in the face, but managed to snap out of it the next turn and set up stealth rocks while Ninetails set up a nasty plot. Ninetails then let loose an incinerate, which did a surprising amount of damage to Jack, but he managed to hold on long enough to get off one last bulldoze before fainting. I then sent out Kermit, and while Amaria used her super potion to heal Ninetails, Kermit wailed on it with two muddy waters, ending it! Up next came Amaria's Ponyta, so I switched out for Maxine. Maxine tanked a headbutt and OHKO'd the Ponyta with a earth power, prompting Amaria to send out her Magmar. Maxine got confused, but managed to get off an earth power. Sadly, the next turn she hurt herself, allowing Amaria to heal Magmar for free. It then ended Maxine with a flame burst, and took Giovanni out with two more flame bursts when I sent him out. Starting to run out of options, I sent out Savage, and although she got confused by a confuse ray, she still managed to land a take down and a quick attack, ending the Magmar! Up next came Amaria's Braixen, and I sent out Terraria, now a mighty Torterra! He took massive damage from a flamethrower, but did massive damage in return with an earthquake, ending the fight! Onward to Route 3! The team so far:
-
Update #14: Your Soul Is Mine Well, Soul Keta was almost as hard as Body Keta. Seriously, I fear what Valerie's going to be like if this is how hard he is... Anyway, after many, many tries, I led with Terraria, and Keta led with his Primeape. Terraria patiently bid his time, tanking cross chops and thrashes and set up six curses. He then unleashed a mighty razor leaf, one-shotting the angry monkey! Keta got smart and decided to send out his ace- Hawlucha- next, and it bounced over a razor leaf and did some damage, but got smacked on the way back down. It then further chipped into Terraria's health with a gale strike, but Terraria survived with 19 hit points and did massive damage with a critical-hit razor leaf, ending the Hawlucha! Keta's Hitmontop came out next, and I quickly healed Terraria while it failed a counter. Unfortunately, Terraria just failed to KO it with a razor leaf, and got OHKO'd by a counter; it was probably just as well, though, as he got overleveled after defeating Hawlucha. Anyway, I sent out Savage next, and while Keta used up his two super potions, she did massive damage with two take downs, then tanked an ice punch and went for he kill with one last take down! Up next came Keta's Pangoro. I kept Savage on the field, but she fainted from a single cross chop (although she was able to get off one last take down). I then sent out Maxine, and she tanked a field-weakened night slash and actually managed to burn the Pangoro with a lava plume! She then survived another, even weaker night slash and ended the Pangoro with an earth power. Up next came Keta's Scrafty, and I switched out to Giovanni. He set up a focus energy and got off three rock smashes, but ultimately fainted from a knock off, a counter, and a high jump kick. I sent out Jack, and he bulldozed it into oblivion, leaving only Keta's Sawk. I kept him on the field, and thanks to his quick claw he managed to get off a bulldoze before fainting from two brick breaks. Maxine came back out, but she fainted from a brick break before she could do anything. Finally, I sent out Kermit, and he landed a bounce and barely survived a brick break with seven hit points to end the Sawk with one last bounce! With Keta's Soul finally put to rest, Cepras earns the Diamond Punch badge! Time to head on out to Goldenleaf Town! The team so far:
