Update #3: Meteor Impact Well, Aster and Eclipse were... a bit of a shock. I led with Snek, Fern led with Roselia, and Aster and Eclipse led with... Electabuzz and Magmar? Ohhhhhhh nooooooooo. Anyway, I had Snek paralyze the Magmar with a glare, and while Electabuzz set up a leer and Magmar hit Roselia with a smog, Roselia set up a growth. The next turn, Electabuzz did serious damage to Snek with a field-boosted thundershock, and Magmar finished him off with a feint attack; Roselia was, however, able to avenge him with a mega drain on Electabuzz. While Roselia kept on going to town on Electabuzz with mega drain, Gallbladder came out and (after failing to put Electabuzz to sleep thanks to Vital Spirit 7-7) managed to poison it with a sludge, which (when combined with Roselia's nonstop mega drains) managed to take it down! Unfortunately, all things come at a cost, and Roselia took heavy damage from a feint attack the next turn. It still hung on, though, and managed to get off one last mega drain before fainting. Luckily, Fern's Lombe came out afterwards, and between its bubbles and Gallbladder's sludges, managed to take the mighty Magmar down! With the Meteor factory in flames, it's time to take on Julia! Oh, don't worry, I was just in the process of updating it. I make the main post, then I update everything team-related, then I go back and add the team to the newest post. If you don't see my team at first, don't panic; just wait a little bit. Also, thanks for telling me about the newest update; I'll switch over to it right now!

Update #2: #YOLOSWAG Well, Fern was... actually pretty hard. I led with one of our newest team members- Hecate the stunky- and HOLY S#@% HE HAS A LEVEL 15 LOMBRE. Only slightly fazed, I had Hecate use poison gas and a screech. She fainted to two bubbles immediately afterwards, so I sent out another one of our team members: Snek the Ekans. He wrapped it and started biting it, and after three bites it fainted. Fern decided to counter my snake with his own snake (Servine), but I switched out Snek for Pile o' Crud the Trubbish, who (after missing twice) poisoned it with a poison gas, then spent his last turn around healing Snek with a potion. After he went down, I sent out Gallbladder the Gulpin, who dodged a wrap and did massive damage to the Servine with a sludge, then (after getting leered at) finished it with a second sludge! All that Fern had left was his ace- Roselia. I quickly switched out for Snek, who paralyzed the Roselia with a glare, wrapped it, and began unleashing bite after bite until he fainted. Poison Oak came out next, and he managed to tackle until it was knocked down into the red before he also fainted. Fortunately, Pile o' Gunk the Grimer managed to pound it into oblivion, ending the fight! And for once, when Fern says I only won because I got lucky... I kinda think he may be right. I really need to train up my team... The team so far:

Dang it, why did nobody tell me that Techie Johnathan has a Rayquazza in Pokemon Reborn Hardcore?!

Hey, thanks! I like your avatar, by the way. Anyhoo... Update #1: Injection Well, the first battles against Cain and Victoria weren't too bad. I led with my starter, Poison Oak the Bulbasaur, and Cain led with his Nidoran. Thanks to hustle, Nidoran missed two scratches, allowing Poison Oak to pull ahead and take it down with four tackles! Victoria, meanwhile, was when the toughness began to manifest (albeit in a more subdued form): her Tepig was level six instead of level 5. Undeterred, however, Poison Oak began unleashing mighty tackles... and promptly got his flowery arse handed to him. Don't get me wrong, he still won; however, if it wasn't for the potion I picked up, he would have been done for. Guess now I know what this hack has in store... The team so far:

Hello, and welcome to my first monotype run of Pokemon Reborn Hardcore! Since I know the lay of the game pretty well so far, I've decided to not only play the harder version of it, but to play it while doing a monotype... ...on my first playthrough! I'll be using poison-types, and I'll be playing as Alice Hemlock, a good friend of Venam from the Aevium region who moved to the Reborn region due to Team Xen's attack on the S.S. Oceania. Anyway, here's my current team: Also, here are the Pokemon on my PC: Here are the major battles I have so far: And finally, this run's theme song! Wish me luck! ('_')7

Update #26: Spooky Scary Skeletons Send Shivers Down Your Spine Well, honestly, Narcissa was easier than Eli and Sharon. I led with Mickey, and Narcissa led with her Drifblim. Mickey paralyzed it with a nuzzle (wasting its wacan berry in the process) and tanked five ghostly wails before taking it down with several parabolic charges and a charge beam, making Narcissa waste a hyper potion in the process! Narcissa decided to stop messing around and sent out out her Chandelure, which was promptly paralyzed by the electric gerbil of death (although it did finish him with a ghostly wail). A very angry Vesuvius came out next, and unleashed a mighty earth power, taking the Chandelure down! Narcissa's Rotom came out next and confused Vesuvius with a confuse ray; although she hit herself in the face, a ghostly wail to the head snapped her out of it, and she managed to take it down with a field-boosted, ghost-type flame burst! Narcissa sent out her Spiritomb next, and I sent out Michael. Despite getting put to sleep twice (and woken up with a lava cookie each time), Michael managed to exorcise the field with a moonblast, then took down the Spiritomb with two field-boosted, quadruple-effective echoed voices! Narcissa, running out of options, sent out her ace, Mismagmius. After a brief field tug-of-war between Michael and the Mismagmius (it would corrupt the field with a ghostly wail, and Michael would purify the field with a moonblast), Mismagmius decided "screw it" and took Michael with it using destiny bond. With Michael down, I sent out Nim, and Narcissa sent out her last Pokemon: a pitifully weak Gengar. It tried to take out Nim with a sludge wave, but the field weakened it enough so that Nim didn't even take half damage; Nim then unleashed a mighty psychic, ending the fight and earning Hecate the Reaper Badge... and Ren's hatred. Well, that won't come back to bite us, right? ...right? The team so far: -

Update #25: Falcon PAWNCH! Well, Alieta was tricky, but I think the battle went pretty well. I led with Goku, and Alieta led with her Scraggy. Scraggy went down fast to a close combat, leading to Alieta sending out her Hawlucha. I quickly got Goku out of there, and sent out Mickey, who endured two knock offs, paralyzed the Hawlucha with a nuzzle, and took it down with six parabolic charges (Alieta used all of her hyper potions)! Alieta sent out her Gallade next, and I sent out Michael, Destroyer of Demons; surprisingly, however, he got flinched by a rock slide twice and fainted to a psycho cut before he could even get an attack off! Undeterred, I sent out Goku again, who actually managed to burn it with a flame wheel, survive a psycho cut, and unleash a mighty close combat... that didn't even KO it, leaving him to be taken out by another psycho cut. I quickly sent out Nim, and she managed to psychic it into oblivion. The same thing happened to Alieta's Mienfoo, who didn't even get to use an attack! Alieta's ace, Blaziken, however, managed to outspeed Nim and took it down with a blaze kick, prompting me to send out Vesuvius. Blaziken set up a bulk up and unleashed a night slash, but failed to KO Vesuvius, who managed to 2HKO it with two earth powers, ending the battle! Time to take on Narcissa for real! ...Also, 25 posts and over 600 views! YAY! Thank you to everyone who stuck around to read this, and I'll see you all in the next update! The team so far: -
There's a rock climb area in the Garufa Ruins near where you fought Groudon. If you climb up them, you get the TM for grass knot.

Agreed. Even though Blake was an (to put it mildly) asshole, he at least wasn't sexist. Texen, on the other hand, is the biggest chauvinistic pig I've ever seen in any game, ever. He's like the Pokemon equivalent of Duke Nukem, only not as funny and stripped of any few redeeming qualities he may have had.

Update #24: I'M THE JUGGERNAUT, B@%(#! Well, compared to Eli and Sharon, Geara was pretty easy. I led with Hathor and Nim, and Geara led with Drifblim and Haunter. Hathor took off about half of the Drifblim's health off with a flamethrower and tanked an acrobatics, while Nim just barely survived a sludge bomb and took out the Haunter with a single psybeam! Then the Giratina came out, and I started to panic. Nim went down fast to Giratina, but Hathor at least managed to finish off the Drifblim with a flamethrower. I sent out Michael to avenge his fallen sister, and Geara sent out Doublade. Doublade went down fast to a flamethrower from Hathor, but Hathor went down from an aura sphere almost immediately afterwards; luckily, Michael managed to take a huge chunk of Giratina's health off with a moonblast. The next turn, Karat came out, and Giratina hit xyr with a slash; it barely did anything, though, and Karat and Michael took it down with an ancientpower and a moonblast, respectively! With the Giratina down and Geara (temporarily) disposed of, it's time to finally take on Narcissa! The team so far: -

Hey! Sorry for the loooooooooong delay in updates; I've just been having so much freaking trouble with this battle. But enough about me, let's kill YOU let's get started! Update #23: Mr. And Mrs. Fortune Anybody get it? No? Okay... So, yeah. Eli and Sharon were arguably the hardest fight I've had this run. Turns out, spamming a team that has four members that are weak to most of their Pokemon was a bad idea; who'd have thought? Anyway, on TEH URN, I led with Goku and Michael, and Eli and Sharon led with Solrock and Lunatone. Goku went down fast to two psybeams, but he managed to get off a close combat on Solrock before fainting; Michael, meanwhile, eclipsed the Solrock with a moonblast, taking it down. I sent out Hathor next, and Eli and Sharon sent out their Tangrowth. Hathr one-shot it with a flamethrower and tanked a psybeam from Lunatone, while Michael whacked the Lunatone with a moonblast (because irony). Eli and Sharon sent out their Gyrados... and then things started to go a little off the rails. Hathor fired off a flamethrower at Gyrados, but it shrugged it off and unleashed a mighty thunder fang, which weakened Hathor enough for Lunatone to finish her; luckily, Michael was able to avenge her, finishing the Lunatone with a moonblast. Eli and Sharon sent out their Milotic next, and I sent out Mickey, Destroyer of Worlds. Mickey unleashed two mighty parabolic charges, doing massive damage to both Milotic and Gyrados; Michael, meanwhile, only took minor damage and took the weakened Milotic down with two moonblasts! Eli and Sharon healed their Gyrados with a max potion, but it was too little, too late, as Mickey ended it with a mighty volt switch! All that remained was Eli and Sharon's Rhydon, and although it did serious damage to both Michael and Vesuvius (who came out to replace Mickey), they both survived, and Michael was able to severely weaken the Rhydon with a moonblast! Eli and Sharon spent their next turn healing the Rhydon, allowing Vesuvius to finish it with an earth power! YES! Time to confront Geara! The team so far: -
Wait... then who takes care of her if the Eldest dies? Does the Grunt?
-
So, um... I saved the Eldest, and gave up the Magma Stone. I have several questions... 1) Does Alieta still go into an eternal coma if I don't relinquish the Magma Stone? 2) Will I still be able to fight the whale without Magma Drift? 3) If I can't get to the whale, will Tesla die too? 4) Overall, did I make the right choice? 5) When will Texen stop being a total d@#$*?

Update #2: Kiss My Assassin Well, I finally got a full team ready (it was harder than I thought; every time I found a Pokemon I liked, it just wouldn't get caught), and what better time to break them out than with a battle against a would-be assassin! The Abyssal Cultist led with an Electivire (I think I used that JonTron clip too early) and I led with Thud Butt the Snorlax! Thud Butt sadly went down pretty fast to a low kick, so I sent out Cupcake the Slurpuff, who tanked a swift and two thundershocks. set up a fake tears, and got off two fairy winds before fainting to a swift. I then sent out Soul Edge the Honedge, who managed to just barely tank a thundershock and took down the dreaded Electivire down with two tackles! The cultist sent out his Audino next, and I sent out LORD HELIX... who surprisingly only did scratch damage with a bite. Because of this, I switched him out for Not OP the Tyranitar, who managed to shrug off baby-doll eyes and a disarming voice to bite the Audino to death! And so, with the Augur saved, it's time to head on out to Midna Town! The team so far:

Update #1: Let the Insanity Unfold Well, the first battle against Damian was... eventful, to say the least. I led with Eevee, and Damian led with an... Umbreon? AN UMBREON? AN UMBREON?! AND I... - HOLY S#@%- WILL AL-WAYS LOVE YOU - I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'D DO THIS TO ME GOD DAMNIT HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?! (hack) Um... sorry. Anyway, I had Eevee (whom I nicknamed Constant because he's the only thing that's stayed the same in this insane world of insanity) use sand-attack once, then tackle until the Umbreon fainted. Sure, it put up a fight (probably because IT WAS A FULLY EVOLVED POKEMON RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD), but Constant was able to handle it surprisingly well! It could have been worse... on my first attempt at this battle, he got a Snorlax! The team so far:

Hey, and welcome to my Hard-mode Randomizer run of Pokemon Insurgence! This is just a little something I'm doing to blow off a little steam accumulated during my Fire/Fairy Duotype run in Pokemon Rejuvenation (which you can find here). Anyway, here's the team so far: There's also the Pokemon in my PC: And finally, the major bosses I have to fight (Images for each team member pending): Wish me luck! ('_')7

Choose my Pokemon Insurgence Challenge Run
Lord Chespin replied to Lord Chespin's topic in Fan-game Exposé
Okay, it's settled. I'll be doing a hard-mode randomizer run, with my normal play-by-play of each battle. Thanks to everyone who cast votes! -
So, my Pokemon Rejuvenation monotype run got a little too stressful (DAMN YOU, ELI AND SHARON!), so I'm going to be taking a little break and doing a challenge run of Pokemon Insurgence to blow off some steam. If there's anything not mentioned in the poll that you'd like me to know or do, just comment down below!

Tfw you want to release a status update for your Monotype run but the boss you're currently fighting whoops your butt every time you try to fight it...
