  1. I see people playing a lot of games this year, and naturally the question comes to mind: How much does an average game cost where you live? How many can you afford per year?

Here if you go to the store to buy a game, it usually costs around 40-70 euros (new), depending on what system the game is for - games for handhelds seem to be cheaper.

I could probably afford one game a month or so, but I'm inconsistent with my purchases.

Standard price for a brand new console game is $60, plus tax, here in the US. Depending on your job and other expenses like rent, you can generally afford at least two games a month, if not more. Then of course there are things on steam which cost quite a bit less... Brand new handheld games are $40 plus tax. Even with all the different costs of living across the different states, these prices are all pretty much the same across all of 'em.

Alright, thanks for the replies. I was under the impression you were striking some kind of bargain thus getting all those games cheaply, but the prices seem about the same as here. In that case, it seems the average salary provides enough for such costs, or I'm just being too reluctant to buy stuff.
