Beat Shade. Is Charge Beam more likely to buff Pokemon in the Factory field? Manectric got 3 boosts which helped him nearly sweep his team. Really not looking forward to when I have to fight Dr. Connal though. Electric vs. Electric is not going to be fun.

After countless soft resets, Shade has finally fallen. Paralyzed his Gengar with Jordan's Nuzzle, then used the field to my advantage and getting lucky by having Storm use Charge Beam so his Sp. Attack got boosted about 3 times, while killing his Gengar and wasting his Ultra Potions. Then took out Banette, Doublade, and Trevenant with Discharge, and then took out most of Rotom's health, but unfortunately Rotom took Storm down. Then Pyrrhon came out and finished off Rotom with a single, field-boosted (field was damaged at the time) Spark, and hit Shade's Chandelure with another to take it almost all the way down before fainting. Finally, I just sent out Sheeple as it could take a hit to use Thunder Wave. From there, Power Gem was all that was required to beat him. And now, Team Updates: Alice is now far more terrifying to Ame/Poptart, and I'm pretty sure I'd run screaming if I saw something like this in real life as well. And Sheeple has thankfully gotten a name change She now goes by the name Jasmine Much like within Team Meteor, Solaris proved to be utterly useless, so I swapped him out for... OK, fine. Magneto

Thematically, Mega Altaria fits her. However, it is pathetically weak for such a late-game fight and the first mega we face, but that could just be because of a powerful Steel type on my team against her. Mega Aerodactyl would make her a much greater threat, but it doesn't really fit with her acrobatics in the sky. Or maybe she has it to help counter all the electric types we brought, knowing she was the flying gym leader. But then there's Gliscor, who would also take care of Rock weakness to help Talonflame with Ice weakness... Her team seems more focused on covering her weaknesses rather than exploiting her field or attacking us.

If you want to play Sonic, play him in PM. So much more fun, so many more movement options, even more rolling around at the speed of sound.

Torchic and Froakie are popular and unavailable late game because of how powerful they are. Fennekin master race tho. And you won't be at a disadvantage in the first gym, before you can get some better 'mons.

Epic mono electric team combo against Shelly: Zebstrika + Manectric. 2 Charge to raise Zeb's Sp. Def, Spark on Zeb to raise Manectric's Sp. Atk if Struggle Bug was used, and Discharge on Manectric to hit both of her Pokemon and buff Zeb's speed. Didn't even need to grind. A big problem with a mono-electric run I've found is that there are a lot of Pokemon you can use, especially early game. So many choices... Anyway, my newest team member is here, replacing Panzer for now (will try to keep him up to snuff with the rest of the team though) Solaris Even if I find a Sun Stone, I need to hold out on evolving him for a while so he can learn Thunderbolt, since that still isn't a TM.

Chikorita is popular as a joke here, like Dan Hibiki in Street Fighter. I'd say either Piplup or personal favorite Fennekin.

Determined to finish the Electric monorun and then do Psychic, my favorite type.

Not really enjoying this Electric run that much. Not enough team and stat diversity, which really hinders how I like to play. May stop and start a different run, just to not solely use one type.

Well, monoruns are about overcoming the challenge of being so limited and seeing hwo different individual members of a type can be. Electric is rather straight-forward type and you don'T have any big resistances to worry about. Poison can be fun, it's resisted by tons of stuff and it's weaknesses are interesting to play around.

It's a mono-electric run. I can only use Electric type Pokemon. Rock gym isn't available yet, and I'll have enough good Pokemon for the Ground gym when I get up to her (Rotom Wash, Lanturn, Emolga which I already have.

So many good Electric types available early game now. Actually going to pass on Tyanmo because I prefer speedy kills when possible. Helioptile or Pachirisu is the next question, and if the former, what ability? Feel like Dry Skin would function better with a mono-electric team.

Beat Corey with nothing but electric types. He was a much bigger threat with Corrosive Mist field. Anyway, anyone else feel more pissed rather than sad at what happens after? Also, Absol.

I feel Corey didn't make much use of his field effect in this fight. Yeah, Venoshock is powerful, but none of his Pokemon had Poison Heal or anything. Actually, had this been the Corrosive Mist Field, I wouldn't have been able to beat him without serious grinding. As it stands, most of my team were significantly below his levels, but he went down after 2-3 resets. Don't recall that Absol appearing on the roof of the gym after beating him though. Probably new. If we ever battle Ame, I expect her to have the Absol she used when introducing the trainer on the Train. Also, Electric Terrain ruined his field temporarily. Very useful as an egg move on Flaafy. And finally, Team Updates. After Corey, here's how my team is looking: Pyrrhon Storm Panzer Alice Sheeple Level: 28 26 28 27 21 And the newest addition to my team...
