i say move to showdown its easier to know what tier a pokemon is in and its really fun to watch battles in animation and the people are nice

the hardest gym leader for me was aya i had to rely on gardevoir witch was difficult because it was fairy type and my starter was chespin witch was useless (i lost to her at least 41 times she stole my money)

i think you should not risk it because sice its a double battle you wont give the full amount of damage

if i remember correctly the soul candle is used to catch phantump in the graveyard near corys gym

i actually have rain dance on my gardevoir because it has high special defense

i only have surf on stoutland because nobody else can learn surf and there is a bug where you dont need to use all the moves before you can you last resort so stoutland has a very powerful move with silk scarf +stab but i will try to follow your tips
