  1. Holy crap. Why is ARIA the Animation so peaceful and hypnotic. Two episodes in and the show has already drawn me into its pace and I love it.

yeah i liked it. just because of the change of pace it was from other anime that i watched. i didn't need to run my brain all over trying to keep track of things.

  2. Nah. That's fine. I won't push the field of the question and discuss under the assumption that god doesn't exist. I'll concede defeat in this little debate here~ I know when I've lost. Maybe I'll come back to debate again some day when I get better at debating on this topic but frankly, this ain't a topic I'm passionate about so, yeah.
  3. The main issue is that my entire question is that it is done under the assumption that God exists. So, yeah. The two initial premises work under the question that was asked. Edit: Actually…now that I think about it…ugh…I opened up way too much of a can of worms here…I need time to think on this…serves me right for not being that good a debater, I guess. XP That being said…the Euthyphro Dilemma, huh…never knew that question was actually given a specific name…I should take a philosophy class at some point...
  4. "I AM VERY DISGUSTED WITH THE TRASHY MAN. IN SPITE OF THE MONSTER, AND THE COACH, ONLY TRASHY, I WILL BEAT DOWN THEM ALL. FOR THIS I MUST STRENGTHEN MYSELF. THE MONSTER IS THE SAME TOO. COLLECT ALL THE TRASHY, RIGHTEOUS FELLOW ALL ARE UNPARDONABLE! YOU DON'T AFFECT ME. THE TRASHY STROLLING IS AN EYESORE!"-Chedr

Huk, look up Pokemon Vietnamese Crystal. Watch the DeliciousCinnamon walkthrough. Then, all shall be clear.

  5. So my question is simply this. Is something good or right because God says that it is good or right (and of course this applies to bad/wrong as well) or is it that something is good/right and God acknowledges that quality?
  6. This actually looks really good. Plus, your female protagonist looks absolutely adorable and that is always a plus. XD
  7. Originally I wasn't going to debate this but since Hilda brought up the concept of objective vs subjective morality, I wanted to ask this to her. Can you define objective morality? This is more to prevent the term from being nebulous than anything before I ask my next question.
  8. So, I started watching Aria the Animation and finished the first episode. I have to say, this series is a really nice change of pace. The music is nice, the tone is overall calm, and the Venice-styled setting looks really nice. I can't believe I didn't watch this sooner.
  9. If there's one thing I'm grateful for, it is that my apartment building has a laundry room in its basement so I don't have to go outside of the building to do my laundry.

      Why? What's outside?

More like I'm glad I don't have to go to some external laundromat to do my laundry~

  10. Laundry day can be such an annoyance...

  11. There are points where dubs is superior. From what I hear, Cowboy Bebop is a wonderful example of that. Full Metal Alchemist and Haruhi Suzumiya also achieved that. But there are points where the original can absolutely not be beat. My greatest example of that, Accelerator from To Aru Majutsu no Index, who's dub VA absolutely pales in comparison to the original. Example: versus its dub counterpart.
  12. Well, jokes aside, my personal stance is I don't know whether or not there is a god so I don't have any reason to believe in a god and as long as people are not trying to push their own religious beliefs onto me, I honestly don't care. Of course, the moment people do try to push their religious beliefs onto me, I will bite…hard. XD
  13. I only believe in Magic God Niang-Niang, the mischievous and perfect Shijie-Xian. Just look at her! She is perfection incarnate!
  14. 12/10 for being even more perfect. I don't get why people are calling my avatar creepy. It's just a moment where the MC notices that he has checkmated his enemy.
  15. 10/10 That's actually hilarious. Where's it from?
  16. So, I can't believe I forgot this series. I am right now going to talk about one of the best Shounen manga I've ever read and unlike most examples like HunterXHunter, it's actually complete. So, let's begin. What series am I recommending here? Konjiki no Gash!! So, what's it about? Every 1000 years, 100 Demon Children are sent to Earth to find a human partner in order to fight the ultimate battle royale for the title of King of the Demon World. Meet Takamine Kiyomaro. He's a 14 year old Japanese middle school student and is regarded as a genius by many. However, the guy has a severe case of "intelligence=isolation" and "insufferable genius". One day, a amnesiac boy named Gash Bell jumps in through Kiyomaro's bedroom window, carrying an odd Red Book and a letter from his father telling him of how he came across Gash. Thus begins Kiyomaro's and Gash's forays into the dangerous battle for the throne of the Demon King. So, that's okay. What's so good about this series, then? Well, there are a lot of things. For one thing, the characters. The series runs for 320 chapters. Of course, that means that there is going to be a wide variety of characters. Let's start with the main character. I already mentioned that the guy is an insufferable genius but that, itself, changes as he (as well as many of the characters in the series) matures over time. From protagonist to antagonist, while not all characters get the chance to develop, a good number of characters will and it's done really well. What else? The emotional moments are also amazingly well done. While it's a bit rough at the beginning, the author really does an amazing job at refining his ability to pull the heart strings of his readers. Of course, this ties in really well with the character development. The art. Oh boy, the art. Like with the emotional moments, it's rough at first but gets really refined. I mean really refined. From moments where ultimate attacks clash to moments of pure despair, the art style is incredibly beautiful and impactful. But, let me just show you a few examples instead of just telling you. The humor. I guess, maturing over time seems to be a theme with this series, huh. Seeing as this is the third time I will say that the humor gets refined over time. The series's humor focuses mainly on the absurdand I really mean absurd. But, this is hit-and-miss depending on the audience. The Action. This goes far beyond your typical DBZ-esque action. Let me just say that a lot of strategy goes into these battles. Not so much at the beginning, but as time goes on, the battles have more and more strategy embedded in them as the movepools of the Demon Children begin to widen and vary to the point where there is a lot of Tactic A+Tactic B, fall back tactic C, Using seemingly odd movements to set up for something, etc. After all, there are 100 Demon Children. The variety in the type of magic the Demons use is quite incredible ranging from Lightning to Stalling to Speed. Of course, the story. This series has a crap ton of twists and turns and you will enjoy each and every one of them. With that, I hope I left you with something interesting and hopefully, some of you guys actually give this series a shot and go through the whole thing because in my opinion, it's well worth it,
  17. 7/10 Not really a fan of the art style
  18. Gore is bothering with it. He knows how to have fun with mysteries.
  19. I ain't a purist. I'll go with whichever I hear first. I prefer Nanoha and Raildex subbed for example because that was what I watched first. I prefer Code Geass, Darker than Black, and Azumanga Daioh dubbed because I watched them dubbed first. It all just depends on whichever I see first. Now… I shall refute those straight off the bat so nobody ever touches them. "People die if they are killed" is taken way out of context though I admit it can be worded better. "Pew Pew Pew" From the looks of the image, it was taken from Nanoha StrikerS. Yet, no English sub group I watched for it ever had the "Pew Pew Pew" thing in it. Suzaku's fish scene? Photoshopped. All there is to it. If anyone wants to see fan subbing at its worst though, take a look at the gg subs for Hidan no Aria. Complete troll subs. The problem with subbing is preventing a loss from translation while still keeping as much of the original meaning intact. Let's just say, translation is a very tricky process between two different types of languages. Now for dubs…if you have not watched the dub for Ghost Stories…what the hell are you waiting for?
  20. …why did I even bother…?
  21. To the guys watching RnY.
