  1. Aria watched the boy being brought to his knees by her gravity as she moved ever closer. She was surprised the boy had not fractured the bones in his legs when he had prevented himself from falling completely to the floor. Though, perhaps she was just unable to tell whether or not he had because he was not moving his legs in the slightest. As she was a meter away, she noticed him struggling to raise his arm. In response, she readied her staff. Once she was right outside of her own gravity field, she immediately slammed down, aiming to hit the boy’s back with the gem portion. She would knock him down to the ground and the force would knock him out. As she was following through her attack, she felt a sharp pain in her left side. A stream of electricity coursed into the pin on her left forearm. In retrospect, she should have had the foresight to pull the pin out of her arm. Worrying about the blood loss that would occur if she removed it may have been a bad idea. But, it was too late for that. The left side of Aria’s body began to convulse, her knees began to weaken, and burns began to form. But, the attack would not stop. Her staff continued en route to collide with Leo’s back.
  2. "I, along with Touko and everyone here, want a happy ending! A proper happy ending that's super cliché and predictable, where everyone's smiling..."

  3. He was shooting even more electrical energy balls. Would his onslaught of the same type of attack ever stop? Aria could only wonder how tired he must have been getting firing shots off like this one after another. Unlike her, who had merely done the equivalent of swatting a fly, he had fired multiple large shots not the least of which included that human cannonball. Based on the speed of his attack, he was likely getting worn down. She could avoid this without much effort. She just needed to side step and propel herself into a run. After all, he was almost in her range. Just a little push would do it. As planned, she side-stepped to the right and bent her knees as she readied to propel herself forward. Before her leg muscles could push her forward, however, she felt a piercing force on her left forearm followed by a stinging pain and the sensation of a warm liquid pouring down from the point of pain and onto her palm. She could feel her left eye unconsciously closing and her teeth gritting on the left side of her mouth. Aria looked down at her hand and saw the red liquid trickling down and branching on her palm. She was...bleeding. She was...injured. She looked down at her hand. She tensed and defensed her muscles to make sure that the motor nerves were still undamaged. Her brow furrowed as she let anger take dominance of her emotions to dilute the pain. With great force, she kicked off the ground into a sprint. She would simply ignore the pain with true adrenaline as she closed in and as she hit the five meter mark, she immediately cried out. “CRUSH!” The gravity in a one meter radius circle around Leo intensified immediately to 3g as Aria continued to press forward.
  4. I'm going to be a bit honest. Leo figuring out that Aria is a Gravity Manipulator from that three second display seems a bit metagamey to me. Maybe it's just me, but I'd be going through like 10 different possibilities in my head of which gravity manipulation would only be one.
  5. Much to her dismay, the one who had attacked her had decided to make the brilliant move of throwing a human cannonball at her. It was not necessarily a bad idea. It would mitigate the damage from him to someone else entirely considering that she was a wild card who had done nothing but walk and run. No matter what happened, someone would be taken out. Unfortunately for Leo…Things won’t pan out as you hoped. With a confident smile on her face, she stopped progressing. She did not even need more then three seconds to take care of the issue. The impending cool down would be relatively quick. Without hesitation, she intensified the gravity to 3g in an elliptical area of four meters in front of her, letting the major axis line up with the human cannonball’s path. In under a second it fell. In the next second, it ground to the halt as the increase in gravity multiplied the friction. Without even giving a thought to the boy she knocked onto the floor, she let off the gravity looked to the side to see the boy she had been targeting before laying flat on the ground. She almost contemplated going to him and finishing him off there. Almost. She turned back to face Leo who had been so impudent as to throw attacks like that. He would definitely get his comeuppance. That was something she was certain of. Without a second to lose, she ran, stepping on the cannonball’s body as her first step and kicking off as she directed herself towards Leo who had moved away.
  6. After walking forward for maybe half a minute, an odd sensation came from Aria’s eyes. There was an annoying glare of light boring into the corner of her vision. It was nothing disorienting, but she still could not help but question the source of it. It clearly was not the direct sunlight that was causing the glare, as then it would have happened earlier. She could only surmise that it may be someone’s Lumen in effect. Perhaps one of the other combatants was doing something with light and she was catching the glare. She squinted once and decided to forgo trying to make her opponent unsettled with an overt display of pride as she started to make more quick steps. However, that change of heart was enough to allow her to evade a direct blow to the chest. Albeit only barely enough. Rather than hitting her chest, the flying energy ball grazed her left arm, causing her her arm to fall in a moment of pain. Aria would normally revel in her luck with great pride. However… Seeing as her target had not moved, that meant that attack came from the side and based on the trajectory of the attack, it was the one with the gauntlet. Her smile faded away, leaving behind a straight face. Without a second thought, the girl sprinted towards the third party in question, ready to start her gravity at the moment she was within range.
  7. As the battle started, Aria saw the boy diagonal to her starting to aim in front of himself. Rather than trying to cross that line to go after the two beyond or intervene in that and possibly get caught in a hairy situation, Aria elected to go after the only adjacent opponent who was free. So, she walked straight down that ten meters in front of her slowly. She did not rush to him. She simply walked at a pace that could almost be called leisurely. She held the her free hand in front of her, with her palm facing Haruki as she walked. Haruki was too far away for her Lumen to produce any substantial effects on him. In the end, the best option was to simply play some mind games, to let her slow pace wear away at her opponent’s psyche.
  8. Sion was not even sure what she was doing there. She had simply been standing there, spacing out as her eyes were trained onto a hand she had opened. If she was thinking, she would likely have been contemplating about her newly received ice powers. Of course, she was not really thinking. She just stayed in a bit of a daze…at least until she heard a pair of footsteps. She looked to see a shorter girl walking with a far older woman. As far as she could tell, the girl was probably a Laylite...or at least liked the color black given the black nails. As her eyes met the other girl’s, she seemed to stop, asking a question almost immediately. It seemed to hold no negative intent and it seemed like she was genuinely curious. Though, Sion thought for a bit. “My name is Sion but…I’m not sure I’m supposed to even say anything.” She had definitely been thrown off by Lilith’s assertion and question as her snarky facade had dissolved almost instantaneously.
  9. With the call to stand ready for the mock battle, Aria got her staff-mace at the ready. While it was primarily a weapon for use in enacting blunt force, it had other possibly uses if she decided to get creative. Still, she did have to watch what she did with this. After all, it would be bad if she accidentally aimed at someone’s head and gave them a concussion or worse. Well, I’m pretty confident in my own control. As she walked to her position in the clearing, she gave a few quick practice swings of her staff with her right hand and switched to her left hand before doing another set of practice swings. With the swings done, she stared at the other volunteers in position. Letting her staff hang with the head down with her right hand, she placed her left hand on her hip, tapped the toes of her boots to the ground, and gave her usual prideful smile.
  10. So, because I'm an idiot, I realized too late that a combat knife would not suit Aria at all and changed the weapon. Well, I kept the old one in strikethrough in case it isn't approved. EDIT: I also edited her Lumen a tad to be a bit more detailed since I pretty much went broad on it. The bold is the newly edited parts. If it's not okay, I'll delete it. EDIT 2: Edited the chain length according to Acqui's advice on the showdown room.

  12. Even as the plane started to land, Aria never really took her nose out of the book she was reading. She was generally the type to read books on scientific topics, but she could not help but indulge in a little supernatural mystery thriller every so often. After all, the one she was reading right now had her hooked and she was coming to the last page sole chapter of the book. Luckily, she finally finished the chapter before the hatch had opened. However, much to her dismay, the chapter ended in quite the horrific way and she still had an epilogue. She would have to come back to it later. As the plane finally ground to a halt, Aria marked her place on the oddly placed Afterword before getting out of her seat and grabbing her belongings from the overhead compartment. With the luggage containing her belongings in one hand, a backpack on her back, and her book in the other hand, she made her way off the plane. Truly, this girl knew the meaning of traveling lightly. Rather than get herself involved with the loud conversation that happened, she stayed in the background while fiddling with the book, debating with herself whether or not to continue to the end while she waited. Luckily for her, that debate was cut short and decided as Sylva gathered everyone’s attention. As the prideful risk-taker listened to Tempus’s little exposition, she had many questions. But, rather than forgo them, she decided instead that it would be better to take some initiative here. Her questions would be answered in due time. “I’ll volunteer as well,” she said, flipping her hair while giving a smile and exuding a prideful aura.
  13. I can't wait to be SHSL Fashionista in Sun and Moon.

  15. Yeah. I was worried about that. It was worth the try, though. Alright. I need to think over the options. Back to the drawing board for that~ An ability for someone super prideful...mmmm...
