  1. You'll have to be way more specific than that regarding your current team makeup and what you're looking for if you want some better advice but if I'm gonna name some generally good Pokemon to have, you can never go wrong catching a Hippo. It's fat, sets up rocks, can learn toxic. Also Rotom-wash is one of the most overused Pokemon for a reason. It burns things, has volt switch, very few weaknesses, immune to ground.

If you want something more offensive, I recommend Magnezone for special and Weavile for physical. I also have a random Salazzle for fairies because it's a very fast poison type.

You might also want to get your mega prepared beforehand for when we inevitably get a mega ring so you can use it right away. I've had my Lopunny ready for a while now.

  2. Since the old thread is closed here's a new one so me and other people if they want can post our Touhou records.

TH01 Cleared on normal. No way am I attempting 1CC on this.
TH02 1CC normal with all shot types. Extra cleared with all shot types.

TH16 1CC normal with all shot types. Extra cleared with all shot types.
    Fairy Wars 1CC normal RouteA.
Moedan Gold medals on all spell cards
STB 50 spell cards captured including all of Youmu's.
    ISC cleared all the stages.

    Len'en:

Le01 1CC normal with all shot types. Extra cleared with all shot types.
    Le02 1CC normal with Tsubakura

I included the Len'en games even though it's not Touhou because they're pretty similar and I like them. My most recent achievement was beating Hecatia (LoLK Extra boss) with all shot types. She was stupidly hard but I somehow did it.

The only additional context we have is that Crescent tells Ren shortly before he joins is that “Anger is motivation” and then has a talk with him, which we don’t see. Given that Crescent appears to despise Xen, she probably had ulterior motives in manipulating the emotionally volatile and devastated Ren and convincing him to join. Hopefully we’ll see more about that in V11.

I think Ren just joined team Xen as a double agent in order to help Crescent with whatever plan she's cooking up and it probably involves something massive like saving the world. With the protagonist solving the situation in his town, Ren would jump at the opportunity to outdo him by doing something way bigger like stopping team Xen.

yeah, endeavor can also beat it. but,it is not neccesary that it needs to dark pulse flinch.it can just toxic kill every non-steel lvl 1 mons.for aron and nosepass, deino gets double hit as an egg move. stop being silly.

Yea I'm sure Lin's Hydreigon has double hit in case she runs into any lvl 1 Arons. Fine then, double hit has 90% accuracy but even without that, I can just slap a berry juice on my Aron and live both hits with sturdy then endeavor back and watch it die to sand. And why do you think using toxic on a level 1 mon would do anything for you? Their endeavor would still get you down to under 10 hp (it gets you down to the users actual hp value, not the %) so I guess you would live the quick attack but anything else could easily kill you afterwards.

So okay if she has double hit specifically as a counter to this type of strategy, I might have to alter it slightly to be able to kill Hydreigon but it's still a guaranteed win because now she can't even flinch me. I guess berry juice might even be better in that case if you're looking to kill 1 specific mon. She would need 2 dark pulse flinches in that case if sand is up or if I have another priority mon to revenge kill it after.

  5. Spoiler

I also had no idea what Espeon was trying to tell me but the puzzle was easy enough to solve on my own. Here's a few tips you need to know. Each glass that you smash leads you into a different room even if from the outside it looks like it should be the same room so smash all the glass. You can also talk to Glaceon/Espeon to make them wait for you in various locations and this is absolutely necessary in order to complete the puzzle. And they can't follow you up ladders but you can take them into elevators after you restore the function. Lastly the top right corner is where you need to go. That entire mess at the bottom left is only for a mega stone (Beedrill I think) so you can ignore that if you don't want it.

I'm assuming that the plebs challenge her as well since everyone was able to get together and restore Reborn city so they would be motivated to save themselves as well.

So she would be murdering them without breaking a sweat and you think they would just keep throwing themselves at Lin to the last man? Did Reborn city become Sparta or something?

Fear works. If Lin killed their leader and it was clear to everyone that beating her was impossible, they would surrender and fall in line. Maybe not everybody but definitely the majority.

And anyway, she already has Meteor grunts obeying her so there is no reason why she'd have to genocide everyone even if they were all Spartans.

Because she's capable of stuff like warping time and bringing non existent objects into the current timeline. It has nothing to do with the Alolan Ninetails but just the fact that she can do crazy super power stuff so it would make sense for her Pokémon to be buff. Her Hydreigon also vaporized a mountain sized Steelix so I think it's pretty plausible. And also that it goes along with my theory of her having only one Pokémon though I guess not many people agree on that.

When did Lin ever "warp time" and bring "non existent objects into the current timeline"? But I don't know, maybe her Hydreigon was buffed or maybe not. The fact that it can do insane things in the overworld doesn't really tell us much since it's hard to compare it to an in game battle. The battle mechanics often don't make too much sense when you put things into perspective. For example, Groudon supposedly raised continents yet it doesn't kill all the present trainers when it uses a move and it gets one shotted by a Golduck using hydro pump.

So my point is, an EV trained lvl 100 Hydreigon with perfect IVs very well might be able to vaporize an entire mountain in the overworld. I see no reason why it wouldn't be able to just because it doesn't seem that powerful in an in game battle.

Oh and Lin has Ame's Pokemon at the very least since she already used Ninetales against us. That also proves that she's not unwilling to use Pokemon other than her Hydreigon.

In Agate city we get to learn about Lin's thought process a bit about how she thinks that the world runs by making people bow. But if too many people are suppressed then wouldn't there be a rebellion sooner or later? Then the only option would be kill or be killed. If Lin kills everyone then there'll be no one to rule. So her plan is basically doomed to fail then. At least that's my conclusion.

Why do you think people would inevitably rebel within her lifetime? Just looking at history, you can find plenty of autocratic dynasties that lasted centuries. Lin would just have to be strong enough to crush her opposition while the plebs wouldn't dare challenge her. There is no reason to kill everyone. This is of course assuming her plan is to rule the region/world or whatever.

Regarding Lin's Hydreigon, I don't see why it would have to be some impossible level. If you're referring to it living a Moonblast from Ame's lvl 89 Alola-Ninetales, it could easily live if Ame's Ninetales had no special attack investment even if the Hydreigon had zero investment in HP or SpDef. Or if Ninetales had 252 EVs in SpAtk, Hydreigon could live with max HP investment and a little in SpDef. Or max SpDef, zero HP. That's all assuming Ame's Ninetales has 31 SpAtk IVs. And Lin could have even slapped an Assault Vest on Hydreigon for all we know. That's all far more likely than level 200 Pokemon.

I also seriously doubt it's her only Pokemon. She's probably like that guy from the DP anime who was only spamming Darkrai for the entire tournament because nobody could beat it and when Ash finally did, the dude pulled out a Latios and won the battle. The fact that we haven't seen her other Pokemon doesn't mean she doesn't have any more. Having only 1 Pokemon is actually pretty stupid since even if it was lvl 1000000, I could beat it 1v1 with a sturdy/endeavor Aron with Shell bell unless she uses potions+outplays me. Yea, I'm not buying it. She almost certainly has a full team.

    54 minutes ago, haribob said:

i dont think hydreigon is level 1000.because 1000 is too much and the only way to beat it would be destiny bond or perish song murkrow

Have you heard of the move endeavor? Anything with sash/sturdy+endeavor could get it down to 1 hp and then finish it off with quick attack or if it was an Aron with shell bell, you would life steal the hp back and finish it off with hidden power after tanking a 2nd hit. If it has leftovers that would beat this strategy but in that case just set up sand and it will die 1st turn before getting the regen/potion. It could literally be level 10^50 and this strat would kill it unless she got a dark pulse flinch or something.

  8. I'm pretty sure IV crystals are not confirmed but maybe Ame will put them in. Or maybe that super training thing which gives them the stats of perfect IV Pokemon. But yea, nothing is confirmed as far as I know.

Wait a sec.Tbh Does this mean that version 19 will be the last version of reborn? What will happen after it? Will a new game come out? I will miss reborn.Or perhaps a New Region? Please answer.

It's suppose to be the last version although I expect there will be some updates at least for bug fixes and such. After Reborn I guess there's this Starlight Divide thing Ame plans on working on although it seems to be completely unrelated even to Pokemon http://www.rebornevo.com/index.php?/sd/index.html/

So yea, expect it to the done forever after version 19...

Is it an abuse though? I mean, isn't it more appropriate to call it a strategy, since you have to set it up and it counters something from the other team?

If you kill the Durant, it is an impossible to beat strategy unless you do it by using volt switch or something. Now it's of course an extremely niche strategy so it's easy to spot it out (same if you see random lvl 1 Pokemon on an opponents team) but I don't think making it widely more available by having a status move do it is a good idea.

  11. Well just today I got 6-0ed by the Mamoswine in Hardy's gym (one of the random trainers inside) because I missed a CLEAN 7 moves that should have been 100% accurate because of it's stupid evasion boost from the seed. So yea, in game it's pretty shitty and I'm just gonna restart the battle if this bullshit happens anyway. I've literally never won a battle in game due to luck but I often reset because of first turn crit/frz/flinches and shit because it's just annoying.

In competitive though it's completely different since it can make the difference between a win and loss and it's absolutely hilarious when you Frz a Hippowdon with Ice punch Mega-Lopunny for the win or flinch a Landorus to death with Iron head Excadrill. Oh and of course 1v1ing a Magnezone with Ferro because of a tripple protect. It's these moments that make competitive interesting in my opinion. Bonus points if you predict the hax (or even intentionally go for it) before it happens. Another important aspect that's less talked about are min/max rolls. Those can also affect the entire outcome of a battle even if they aren't as flashy or as noticeable as crits.

As for your idea, they did actually implement some checks to make the game less random like making sleep last for 3 turns max. This way you know at least when you'll wake up at the latest.

There's also stuff like sleep clause and OHKO clause and swagger banning to make people rely a little less on luck and more on strategy. I'd definitely be open to some more checks but specifically regarding the paralysis one, that sounds pretty similar to truant and we already saw how badly that can be abused with shadow tag + protect (or substitute).

  12. Spoiler

Luna is my favorite character too so I'm with you there but I'm not really worried since it doesn't make much sense for her to be dead or trapped forever at this point. I mean Shade got you out of the void obviously and Luna even said the darkness was her domain so at best she can get out on her own and at worst she is trapped and you'll probably need to do something to help her escape.

Last thing I expect Ame to do is leave everybody trapped in there forever but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

But yea, I also loved the episode. 4 and a half years of waiting and Luna's finally back. In a major role at that. Fuck to the yes. Lin is being awesome as always, we got a ton of information about Radomus, Bennett comes back suddenly a badass and even Florinia gets some screen time and character development. I also absolutely loved the battle against Solaris. After all this time a nice, clean, fair, 1v1 single battle with no field effects against the former leader of team Meteor. It shows that he finally acknowledges you as an equal and the conclusion seems to have led to his downfall. The whole thing was brilliantly done. Oh and of course Zero's mental breakdown is amusing to watch.

So fucking hyped for the final showdown against Lin and of course the E4+champion battle.

I say 5 because as we know, the Sapphire Bracelets plural means you've got two, and it just so happens they're in the possession of a couple. These factors have lead some people to believe the E4 will actually be the E5 and consist of El presumably after a change of heart upon seeing Solaris fall from grace, Anna, Heather and more likely than not, a double battle against Laura and Bennett together.

The double battle thing would be cringey as fuck in my opinion but it is very interesting that the keys have all fallen back into the hands of E4 members. I guess in that case it should just be Laura but that would make the entire Bennett joining the E4 thing kinda pointless so I hope I'm right that your choices change who you get to battle.

But if there's no champion battle, that would be the most anticlimactic thing I've seen in my lifetime. After all this time we spent waiting there damn well better be one even if it doesn't live up to expectations. I could literally not think of a worse thing that could happen to Reborn other than there being no champion battle. And by all means it should be Lin since she's the only one qualified other than a current E4 member.

As for Amaria I will have to replay that part at some point but for some reason I recall her saying something about wanting to battle again. Maybe I'm completely wrong and I imagined it but I'll set that one aside for now.

Adrienn and Victoria are currently taking Ame's place for running the league (administrator-wise). They would be the ones who are in charge of the league but I could see El blackmailing Bennett. Also they wouldn't allow a leader to quit just to get stronger as Adrienn has already done so much to restore Reborn that xe wouldn't want to the to start falling apart like Reborn City did.

I actually don't expect Lin, Amaria or whoever the champion ends up being to ask Adrienn or Victoria for permission before battling you. If they have the skill and power to back it up that's all that really matters. Lin could just waltz in after the E4 battle and declare that she's the rightful champion because she beat Ame so you have to battle her for the spot. It doesn't matter whether anybody else acknowledges it or not as long as you agree to battle.

As for Bennett, I know he promised to give the E4 spot back but it looks like he might have to keep playing his role in El/Meteor/Lin's plans if he can't stop Zero from giving his report. That means you might still end up battling him in some scenario and then perhaps Laura in another one.

It wouldn't make sense storyline-wise for Amaria to be an elite 4 member, plus who would take over from Amaria as leader.. Even then El, Heather and Laura being confirmed with Anna being strongly hinted at being E4 members. It wouldn't make sense for Lin to face the player fair and square and she would take advantage where ever she can.

Why wouldn't Amaria make sense? If I remember correctly, she promises to get stronger and battle you again (or something to that effect) after you beat her on the Reshiram path. I'd probably put her as the champion over an E4 member but both could work. And not having a substitute water leader would be the least of Reborn's problems at this point with Ame dead and all.

Not sure what you mean by Laura "being confirmed" unless you're talking about Ame saying something outside of the game since anything could happen in the story at this point. Bennett seems like he wants to give her the spot back but maybe El or Lin will do something so that he won't be able to quit. Again your choices could decide whether you will battle Laura or Bennett on the E4 run.

As for Lin wanting to face you fair and square, the scenario I proposed already has you beating her and completely stopping her plans. She would be left with nothing and I could easily see a desire to battle the person who bested her emerge from that. There would be no point cheating since the battle would have no stakes other than victory itself. Of course I'm assuming Lin undergoes a massive change after the climax which I think is extremely possible if she ends up losing after thinking she's so invincible.

Of course this is all speculation and I'm just stating how I'd do it and what I hope ends up happening. The champion could be ghost Nappa for all we know. Oh shit, did I just stumble upon Shade's true identity?

  15. Anna is the last E4 member first of all. Now regarding whether Bennett or Laura will be in the E4 battle, I think it might depend on the choices you made in the game. I mean they are both E4 members so I don't see why Ame wouldn't do something like this. Alternatively, Amaria might end up in the E4 or even as the champion if you took the Reshiram path with a new much stronger team.

But most likely the champion is Lin since she's the only person we haven't beaten in battle yet and she defeated the previous champion.

Now I have a theory regarding how this might go down. First you will have your final showdown with Meteor and Lin where she will be using some insane cheats like the pulse Arceus and then after you beat her (or maybe someone will seal the Arceus or something plot wise) the real Lin will decide that she wants to fight you fair and square next time using her regular team and it might as well be done as a champion battle. This would be pretty fucking awesome if you ask me.

Of course the champion battle might be different depending on your choices so maybe Lin won't want to battle you or maybe she'll die/disappear so someone else will be the champion. Again, possibly Amaria. Or maybe even Bennett, Anna or less likely Fern/Victoria (your rival being the champion like in gen 1).

Btw he has an hiker sprite, if u can't find him, probably u didnt do the quest 🤔.

You need to have a Pokemon that knows Covet/thief, fling and recycle. Pansear is the Pokemon I used. First you steal the item, then you fling it at them and then recycle to get it back. If you get it back via recycle, it should stay on your mon even after the battle and now you have the item. Unless of course something was changed in recent updates.

What do you mean "show it" a Pokemon? I'm in that cave with the water with a fly mon and nothing is happening. Where is the Bagon and what exactly am I suppose to do?

lol I didn't even know that move existed until now. I think one of the move tutors that only show up during the day had it so I'll teach it to Garchomp tomorrow. But on the bright side, I did finally get Firium Z for that boosted fire fang.
