  1. Spoiler

I know it also activates the underwater towers on route 11 (the place you reach if you surf from Akuwa town). You need to dive down the big round dive spot first and talk to a woman in a submarine then she'll tell you to activate the towers which open a door.

There is another similar underwater door you can open if you dive from Aquamarine cave but I'm not sure the game specifies that you used the Enigmatic key for that one.

Go to route 11 and talk to the person inside submarine

This door has nothing to do with the submarine or the route 11 pillar puzzle. Or at least you don't need to do any of that first to open it.

I did complete the route 11 pillar puzzle, but which dive spot in aquamarine cave are you talking about? Can you specifiy?

Go to the spot where Amber dropped down, fall down the hole, walk down and surf on the water. The dive spot is to the left but down there you need to solve a puzzle involving currents which move you around. I'm pretty sure you need to dive down multiple times too because the actual square you're standing on when you dive down determines where you end up and then the current drags you to a different place.

Anyway just push all the buttons, a pathway opens up in the current room to the bottom left (good luck navigating the currents to reach it), go through that and you'll end up outside where you can find a single tower with a button to push that opens up the door.

For some reason, the Goomink sidequest won't start, even though I've done the Yui Ranch sidequest, and have finished V12. Nothing has happened so far after meeting Goomink in the Honec Woods dive spot.

Did you try entering the castle in the Goodra village? It's big and all the way at the top. You need to go into the castle and talk to the king and queen first then the princess then you can talk to Goomink and the quest will progress.

Also for the narcissa side quest, where is the key for the Center door in the manor?

You need to go back to the present and do the Darchlight manor side quest. The manor is in Darchlight woods which are on the same island as Grand Dream City to the left of route 7.

It shouldn't be too hard to find but it's on the left side of the woods and you go up to reach it.

  5. You probably just need to reset the game and start over from wherever your last save was. If you somehow saved while stuck so that doesn't work, you're in luck because Rejuvenation makes a bunch of auto saves by default. Go into your Windows search bar, type in "Game.rxdata" and then when it finds the file right click "open file location" to find your save folder.

You'll see a bunch of auto saves in that folder and just rename the newest one to "Game.rxdata" because that's the file your game loads up. Obviously delete or otherwise remove the existing Game.rxdata file.

Oh and if you have other games like Pokemon Reborn, make sure you're actually in the Rejuvenation save folder since both games use the same type of system. It should just be named "Pokemon Rejuvenation" so that shouldn't be a problem.

i think you need to just accept you (the mc) and the cast are all platonic friends. the devs aren't obligated to implement a romantic route into the story just because you become emotionally invested in some of the characters. don't be a niceguy(tm) and confuse responsibility with gratitude. Obviously melia, venam, ren, or w/e are grateful for what you've done for them in the story but they don't be romantically interested in you as a result of that.

I doubt you've read all my posts in this thread since I've said from the start that I'd be perfectly fine with an open ending where everybody is just friends. What I do not want is all the potential love interests ending up with some other character leaving only the player as this platonic friend because that would basically mean you got cucked 7 times over.

Btw, that "the devs are not obligated blah blah blah" is such a throw away statement. Like yea, I can't sue them for not making the type of story I want. Wow, I was not aware of that. I am just sitting here and voicing my opinion on discussion thread about that exact subject. They can choose to take it into consideration or not. I am not here demanding anything nor am I trying to imply they owe me anything.

As for the in game characters, I already explained my position in the exact post you're replying to.

That's kinda disappointing that there is Romance in it as I kinda expected the platonic type Romance the least (purest than any religion lmfao.. jk). Well it will raise this games popularity if you guys wanted add unexpectedly.

No she is saying there is NO romance. And if it's platonic than it's not romantic. It basically means you're "bonding" as friends.

" Also I can understand Gheist too we are doing way alot of things while going out of our way for various side characters with no rewards. "

The reward is their company (and various items/pokemon/access to locations). But yea I'm probably not the only one who would be upset if they spent years (in game and in real life) risking their lives and fighting for these girls and then at the end they just go: "Oh thanks for all that. Btw, I'm gonna go date/marry X now. Bye bye."

I'm not trying to say they necessarily owe you anything but there are certainly implications to how you act towards people of the opposite gender, especially if you constantly end up relying on them.

It's complicated in general. But of course you've also done more for some characters than others.

Hey, remember when Melia's shiny Garbodor chewed off the power at the very beginning of the game?
This was supposed to be a hint that maybe Melia shouldn't go to Goldenwood Cave.

    She did anyway.

If she's not smart enough to take a hint, then she's not smart enough to thank you for helping her out.

I can't tell whether you're being sarcastic or not but if not, how in the hell is she suppose to take a random wild Pokemon fucking with the power lines as a hint that she shouldn't go into a forest she's been in many times before? I mean at this point she had absolutely no idea some evil team was after her or that she should expect anything particularly abnormal to happen.

If your car breaks down, do you take that as a hint that you shouldn't go to work that day? And then if you take a taxi/bus and your workplace gets shot up, were you stupid for not taking the "hint"?

Or actually in this case you would have fixed your car in 5 minutes and then gone to work driving it. Maybe if the entire train had gotten blown up you would have had a point.

What does Typhlosion crest do? I dont get it.

I'm assuming it raises your physical attack the higher your special attack is. The bonus fire damage probably works like flying press and grants the move an extra fire typing. So I guess if you use a normal type move like double edge against a steel type, it would do neutral damage because the weakness/resistances cancel out. And if you used it against a grass type it would be super effective.

On the other hand if you used double edge against a water type it would resist it so this has some downsides. This is all my speculation since I don't have an actual Typhlosion to test it out.

    3 hours ago, Crickzilla said:

Ariados Crest make Ariados a bit faster and always crits the opponent if its poisoned apparently. (Basically it gains a hidden Merciless ability.)

Though its still pretty slow (unless it's because I didn't max out the Speed stat?) and need Toxic Spikes and Sticky Web support to work properly.

Okay I changed the text. And yes Ariados is just really slow.  This crest basically gives it a free choice scarf but with a base speed stat of 40, even if you give it max speed it would only hit 294 speed at level 100 with the crest on. For comparison, Typhlosion hits 328 without a choice scarf obviously. Infernape 346. Greninja 377. Gardevoir hits 284 so there's one threat you could outspeed as long as it's not mega.

So yea it makes you faster but it just raises your terrible speed to average speed. You might be better off with a focus sash if you want to set up webs. Or use Galvantula instead since that hits 346 speed with no crest/choice scarf.

You need to fight one that's in the Rec Room at the Ranger Station in Kakori then the one in the Kristiline which is the house next to the Help Center, then you can fight the Elite Four in West Gearen

Thanks I managed to complete it finally. And you get a department store sticker which is way more valuable than the crest in my opinion.

I'm sorry if I'm really oblivious, I just swear nothing's working. I had already gotten all of the buttons and had a prompt say "it sounds like a door opened" but when I go to where you direct me, the tower door is closed.

I think it's probably telling you that the pathway opened for you to reach the actual button that unlocks the submarine door. So 1 button that's on a pillar thing that you have to click on to press unlocks the submarine door and the 4 buttons on the ground in the dive room with the currents probably unlocks the pathway to reach it. I know the pathway is on the bottom left and you have to navigate through those currents to reach it but I couldn't tell you exactly how. You may need to go all the way back up and dive again because which square you dive down on determines where you end up on the currents.

In addition to above, I got a Typhosion Crest for doing the E4 Virtual Quest, after all 8 badges.

Typhlosion Crest - Atk scales with SpAtk, and contact moves do additional fire damage.

Do you happen to know where the other leaders are? I think I've only got the first 4 badges from the guy at Gearen laboratory and the one on the route next to Sheridan. Apparently there's 1 in West Gearen but I think I need to battle some other people first.

  12. I've been following development since 2013 and I can definitely tell you watching the world grow was an adventure in its own right. The design of the main city along with the surrounding areas were very well done and clearly a lot of thought was put into everything from the different wards to the grand staircase to Apophyll academy, the routes and all the other areas. It was also very satisfying going through all these different places that team Meteor had destroyed and/or polluted and slowly cleaning the city up through your efforts which eventually leads to it being restored. Opening the grant gates back up is certainly one of these symbolic moments and now the train station has been repaired as well.

So yes the aestetics are great (along with the music) but Reborn also has a very engaging story with tons of well written characters, some certainly more relatable than others. The thing that drew me in initially was the difficulty aspect and also Florinia's very interesting speech pattern. Honestly an A+ job on writing her dialogue. Obviously by now I'm way more invested in the word and story but I'm still very much looking forward to stuff like the E4 and champion battle. I've literally had 6+ years to prepare for these so I better do a good job when the time comes.

Anyway if you're enjoying Pokemon Reborn, after you've finished the game I HIGHLY recommend you check out Pokemon Rejuvenation which is another fan game heavily inspired by Reborn and has by now created a world as big if not bigger than the Reborn region. It has similar difficulty to Reborn with field effects and Rift Pokemon instead of Pulse mons. It also has a very engaging story and is heavily character focused. I would even say it's better than Reborn in some aspects.

Version 12 actually came out a few days ago so most of the bugs will probably get fixed by the time you finish Reborn. In other words this is a great time to start playing. You can find it on the "other games" tab or just scroll down on the main forum page.

Just wondering how many chose to beat Aelita and Melia while under hypnosis on top of the pyramid and how many let themselves be defeated instead. Furthermore, has anyone already checked if it changes anything in terms of relationship points?

Wait, losing is an option? In Reborn you just have to redo the fight if you lose so I didn't even consider that even though I figured out what was going on pretty quickly. Yea I could see it reducing your relationship points if you couldn't recognize your own comrades' Pokemon but I'm not sure how it affects anything.

In any case I just win win win so hopefully they won't hold it against me. Especially since they were attacking me as well. Now I'm kinda curious what happens since if you lose the surfer girl loses as well.

Maybe I'll load up one of the backups and find out.

  14. Guess I can post all the ones I've got in my bag but I can't guarantee there's not more of them. I probably can't tell you where I found each one either but I know a lot of them were in the Labyrinth and the rest I found by doing version 12 side quests either as a reward or they were items that you can pick up. I just know Infernape was a reward for completing the Goodra side quest (the princess was right, this crest is smelly). Darmanitan, Torterra, Spiritomb and possibly Claydol and Ariados were items to pick up in the castle during Karen's side quest.

-Zangoose: Poisons the user and restores HP if the Pokemon is poisoned

-Ariados: Increases base speed by 1.5x and always hit critically if target is poisoned

-Claydol: Merges its defense and special attack stat to be the same

-Darmanitan: Forces you to stay in Zen mode

-Spiritomb: Makes Spiritomb stronger for each defeated ally. And recovers heath based on (text cuts off)

-Dusknoir: Increases base attack by 1.2x and boosts weaker moves (I'm assuming it works like technician)

-Magcargo: Swaps defense and speed. And increases Sp. Atk by 10

-Cofagrigus: Increases base Sp. Def and Sp. Atk by 1.25x

    -Cherrim: Forces sunshine form

-Relicanth: Increases base attack by 1.2x and Sp. def by 1.3x

-Skuntank: Boosts attack when hit by ground move

-Leafeon: Haves damage from fire and flying attacks

-Glaceon: Halves damage taken from rock and steel attacks

-Fearow: Increases critical hit ratio by 3 stages

-Stantler: Increases attack and accuracy by 50%

-Hypno: Increases special attack and accuracy by 50%

-Oricorio: Increases speed and special attack by 1.25x

-Seviper: Causes Seviper to hit harder against healthier foes (whatever that means) and speed increased by 1.5x

-Castform: Causes Castform to use its first weather move and gives it a special ability (I guess it sets up weather and then gives you an extra ability to take advantage of it)

-Ledian: Causes Ledian to punch 4 times

-Deddene: Merges its speed and attack stat to be the same

-Bastiodon: Deals 50% damage taken as recoil and recovers that amount (this might actually be pretty good)

    -Rampardos: Works like focus sash/sturdy

-Typhlosion: Atk scales with SpAtk, and contact moves do additional fire damage

-Feraligatr: Grants the ability strong jaw and the first move upon switch in gets priority

-Meganium: Meganium and allies take reduced damage and recover every turn

-Torterra: Swap resistances and weaknesses (so that's why my ice beam did nothing)

    -Empoleon: Stat changes are doubled

    -Infernape: Swap attacks and defenses

Edit: I added all the additional crests people posted bellow.

So I dropped down the hole where I first met Amber, the place with the Uxie statue, and from there if you go down and to the left there's a dive spot, but that dive spot just leads into the tide room with the buttons. Does anyone know where else I may need to dive to get to the towers on Route 6?

    Spoiler

If you go down and right from the Uxie statue area there is a rock climbable wall and up there are a bunch of trainers and ledges to jump down from. You may have already done this part but in the middle of those ledges is a ladder and if you climb that there should be a surfable area in front of you with 2 dive spots. One leads to a trainer that gives you a sticker if you beat her. The other one goes to a locked submarine/tower thing which has some crests and lore inside.

I'm not entirely sure how I did this but I think you need to press all the buttons in that dive spot you were talking about and if you navigate the room (might have to leave and dive down again) properly, you end up at a new opening and that's where the button is to open the locked door. It's possible the 4 buttons have nothing to do with this since the dive stream thing was confusing and maybe the opening was always there but this is how I did it.

  16. Bladestar until version 12 since they were the ones fighting against team Xen so it was an enemy of my enemy type of thing. Also Flora didn't do anything to me personally and she seemed chill enough even though I knew her secret. It definitely looked like we might be able to cooperate towards our mutual goal but during version 12 she's all: "Fuck you. I should have killed you back in the forest" even though I've been nothing but nice to her and she's also acting completely unhinged and uncooperative. I might still agree with her overall goals but she seems to have completely lost her mind and I'm not talking about blowing up whatever building that gathering was in.

Also, where even was she for her to get arrested that easily 2 seconds after Ren broadcasts the announcement? I mean FFS she should have seen them coming via cameras and went to some escape route. Maybe if she gave me the chance to cooperate with them we could have done something against team Xen together and she can have GDC too for all I care. It's already being run by a Xen puppet and they're probably injecting people with poison so she'd probably be an improvement.

But since she wants to act like I'm worthless and like she's so much stronger than me even though Nim with trick room was more of a challenge than Bladestar's entire fucking team, I'll just go rogue and defeat team Xen on my own.

As for team Xen, maybe they should try actually talking to us and see if there's some possible compromise since if they're just gonna attack us indiscriminately, the only option we have is to fight back.

Also if they're not gonna tell us what their goals are, all we can do is assume the worst. So yea rogue. But if a Xen member wants to team up temporarily for some common goal, I'm all for it.

When I got the end end of the labyrinth again and couldn't interact with the door, I used that teleport pad to leave and retry the thing again. After you suggested revisiting the Urban again...guess who magically reappeared on the floor?? That's right!! I'll re-try this sidequest now it has reset. Thanks for the suggestion.

It's possible you reset your game at some point while messing around with the labyrinth and ended up at a point before you talked to her initially. Or it could have been some bug where the game resets it because you cleared the labyrinth for the first time after talking to her. In general if a quest is not progressing it's a good idea to revisit the relevant areas and see if anything weird is happening.

Glad it worked out for you.

Okay you've cleared it up. Perhaps I was over analyzing your wording a bit. Force of habit.

Btw, I know who you are, I just don't know how much story related content is in everyone's heads at any given moment. Jan could be keeping it to himself for all I know. Maybe to avoid spoilers leaking.

It's probably not all written up yet anyway.

Then what's that purple thing a few squares down and to the left of where you're standing? If you haven't used it yet, maybe try entering via the teleport pad and try interacting with the door again.

If that doesn't work, check to see if Karen is still unconscious where you first found her just in case the quest has been reset for some reason. Interacting with the red door should normally progress the quest after she gives you the password.

neither jan or i have ever said that you can't imagine that the player gets together with someone, but the question of "oh are there gonna be romance routes?" is probably the second most asked question right after "mega ring when" so at this point i think it's pretty fair for jan to debunk some speculation. it's a question that's getting a little old, yknow?

Yea that's why I said an open ending would be fine but if every single potential love interest ends up in an explicit romantic relationship with another non player character, that would kinda kill any potential ships.

Btw, there's no romance or there's no romance routes? Because the latter could mean you end up with person X and there's just no option to pick a different person. I'm curious because it looks like you're being careful to add "routes/options" after romance even though I never brought it up. I was talking about romance in general. It's possible Jan just meant you wouldn't be able to pick between different characters but I don't know his exact quotes.

Just to sum up my preferences: Romance options>Romance>open/friendship ending>>getting cucked (7 times).

  21. 5 hours ago, Meteor Knight said:

Agree with some of your points Gheist but we all know Melia isnt even romantic interest if I had to bet then its Aelita or Maria (totally thought melia was Maria at first the look stealing is hard). If I had to say Melia is somewhat like Ame from Reborn a persona or representation of author but personality is just of insecure prick like the titanias "dead weight"

Isn't she Maria? I thought it was pretty much confirmed at this point. But I don't see how Melia is like Ame at all. Ame just shows up occasionally and doesn't do much other than get you started on your journey and then later some league stuff until she gets killed. Meanwhile Melia is way more involved in the story and has more of a personality. If anything Jan's character would be closer to Ame.

But yea Aelita would definitely be the second choice. If that falls through I can just go down the list (Lavander, Crescent, Ana, Alice, Saki, Amber) until I run out of waifu candidates. Rejuv has a fair amount actually.

    5 hours ago, Zumi said:

guys... jan's deconfirmed on multiple occasions that there's any romance routes/options for the player

There's any? You mean that there's NOT any? And "deconfirmed"? Your sentence is confusing me but from the general tone I assume you're trying to say that Jan has yes confirmed that there will be no romance between the player and any of the characters. Well that's pretty disappointing since Rejuv lets you build much stronger relationships with the characters than any other fangame I've seen (other than potentially Desolation if that ever keeps going). I guess an open ended friendship thing would be fine as long as the player doesn't get straight up cucked on every single front.

In any case, Jan probably should have just not said anything and let us dream.

  23. 2 hours ago, DerogatoryTrainer said:

That also doesn't make sense either.

How did she hack the turret to fire when it had no power to fire in the first place?

Does it really matter considering all the other nonsensical technology related shit we've seen in Rejuv? Like all of Saki's contraptions for example or more recently these androids (?) flying around.

Maybe Melia is an elite haxor and she somehow fixed it. Or some time travel shenanigans. Or the laser wasn't broken and she just needed to give it a little power using a Pokemon or something.

She seemed to know what she was doing regarding the snag machine so it's not beyond the realm of belief that she figured out how to fix a laser that wasn't even directly damaged.

" Also she was there to scope out what Team Xen were planning which she mostly accomplished but her subterfuge relied entirely on every single person on that island being a complete moron and not checking under her hood once. "

Not everybody, just Neved. The rest of them are just hired grunts with no authority to touch her without Neved's permission after he took her in. People probably did see some of her face under the hood but they might not all know what Melia looks like and she's a few years older anyway. Especially the guards probably had no idea team Xen was looking for her.

Again Neved would be the only one you'd definitely expect to recognize her so that's on him that he didn't (presumably).

14 minutes ago, Meteor Knight said:

No way we saved the day on Blacksteeple well least I did with togedemaru taking out death itself. Dont know how much she helped but Madame X definitely was a bigger threat.

You would have been skewered by Madame X if Melia hadn't shown up. You can ask Jan why the player wouldn't just leave his Pokemon out to fight her after having already beaten Yveltal.

As for Kannon, Melia most likely thought of him as a little kid she's being nice to just because she feels sorry for him. In any case I definitely wouldn't worry about him as a romantic rival now that he's gotten his memories back since he's probably not interested himself at this point.

Venam on the other hand, it's definitely possible although it's kinda annoying how these days 2 girls can't be close friends without everybody and their mother assuming they're lesbians and shipping them.

Personally I think Venam probably does like her romantically but at least right now I don't think Melia sees Venam in that way. I think she probably just sees Venam as her best friend but that could obviously change depending on how the story progresses or really if Jan just says so. I mean really he could change the nature of their relationship on a whim whether he planned it a certain way or not.
