  1. Neat; that's the one from the forest in Obsidia, if I'm not mistaken... and, of course, if you don't like it, you can always replace its sprite with that of a regular Tangrowth.
  2. And the first gym would actually be as difficult for Water starters as everyone else if it was Dragon-type, but that's not going to happen; I mean, Amethyst would have to rewrite all the scripts including Julia from the beginning and make so many changes, and people might end up complaining, and she'd have to change the Badge order and end the first Gym with a different TM...
  3. You forgot to mention the fact that his Roserade's a male. Anyways, what's hilarious is to see people (including myself) exhaust resources on something that doesn't even need that much trouble to deal with... *watches shofu spam Repel and Super Potion like there's no tomorrow* I still find EV training Pokémon while playing through a regular game just as amusing as this.
  4. Everyone's solution to getting rid of Magikarp would be to replace Gyarados with Azumarill, granted that they hadn't chosen a Water starter... and I didn't download the game when Episode X came out.
  5. It's fun, but kind of silly to try to remember to pick up everything, such as hidden Shards (I found a Purple one in an empty patch of ground in the Peridot Ward once, and a Green one in the left side of a rock pile in the Byxbysion Wasteland) and Antidotes (found one in the second spot on the rail to the left side of Florinia's Academy).
  6. Togepi. Just because I don't want to have kept the Shiny Stone without having evolved Roselia this long for nothing. Although I'm probably getting my hopes too high. One of my favorites.
  7. Yep; and there's an Antidote in the side of a tree in the middle of Azurine Island. The right side, to be specific...
  8. Aster and Eclipse when you had to rescue Cain (with my Charizard, naturally; I had to raise another Pokémon for my team to make it through the fight functionally, instead of just relying on ridiculous hopes of luck). Taka was a breeze. Solaris was like this for me, but then I decided to just switch out fodder to Intimidate his Garchomp 6 times.
  9. insert arbitrary "God damn it, Nappa." I just rename them things like Game1, Game2, and Game0, and (naturally) Main/Main1 for my main saves.
  10. People should understand that removing Pokémon will only reduce diversity; for example, Abra was initially a viable alternative to Ralts before it was moved so far ahead. If you want to increase the game's diversity without relying upon a select single Pokémon, you should increase the number of early event Pokémon in the game and make the early battles a bit tougher (maybe give Pokémon stronger, more effective moves against those early-game Pokémon, such as Crunch and a few others that can be obtained by breeding; maybe even rearrange a few opposing Trainers' teams to include Dark-type and Ghost-type Pokémon). That's what should level out the playing field.
  11. Well, I've just made the inference that removing Pokémon resulted in their comparable early-game alternatives becoming virtual necessities for standard teams; Ame's trying to remedy this by removing even more instead of just making them more difficult to train.
  12. She used an Unown sprite for the eye. Additionally, Fakemon are fucking terrible.
  13. You can get Vulpix?! Ame (Thinks to Self): Not anymore...
  14. There's a reason why Luna has Prankster Sableye, then...
  15. And, like that, it enters Ame's consideration for Pokémon to remove in Episode XIII. Also, hoping Amethyst reads this: You could always counter Gyarados by giving Pokémon unexpected Electric-type moves... I mean, this game should run on the basis that the computer is a cheating bastard. Oh; also, Budew. People could always use that.
  16. Ralts and Magikarp are a given. Then, shortly thereafter, they'll be followed by Pansear, Panpour, Snubbull, Pachirisu, Zigzagoon, Lillipup, Azurill, Spritzee, Swirlix, Kricketot, Shuppet, Lotad, and the Starter Pokémon in that order. And you'll be given the choice between a Sunkern and a Slakoth as a Starter. Of course, you won't get any of them back until after you beat the Elite Four, and you'll have to hatch them all from eggs.
  17. This was an excellent game mechanic you implemented, and this thread did catch my attention still, but I object to that. Also, here's something I've perceived, if you'd care to read what I deign to be a personal insight: ...or (and I'd be surprised if Amethyst actually cared enough to read through all of that; hardly anyone I ever know even wants to listen to what I might have to say, and, of course, no one should have to, but, if anyone actually did, kudos to you) should I have messaged it to you? ...you know; even though there are probably, like, 50 better things you might have to do right now, because, of course, you have a life to take care of, and this might be spending some time other people might have preferred for you to allocate towards releasing Episode XII, but thank you kindly if you did care to listen.
  18. Definitely Farfetch'd; I think about that thing less frequently than Qwilfish or Dusparce (or Chimecho, or Hypno, or Tangela, or Jynx, or Magnemite, or any other).
  19. Charmander, just for the sake of nostalgia (even though I elected for Blastoise in Red and Blue; I've grown to prefer Charmander more). If that thing gets a Mega Stone (either, really) at some point, it'll all have been worth it (furthermore, with the beginning it has, it would appear as if Amethyst just doesn't want Water-types to win unless they're Mudkip or Protean Froakie). Infernape is also good.
  20. Just found out you can. pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8275 Anyways, you still could evolve it into a Gardevoir, if you want. And with that nature as it is (Lax), it's not really ideal for either Gardevoir or Gallade. I mean, if it's just an issue you personally have about its gender, you could just reset it until you get a shiny female one; the shiny rate is remarkably higher than it is in the games, so it's not really that much trouble. Additionally, I would have recommended resetting until you can get one with Trace, but it turns out you can change abilities, too. Oh; Magus is going to be pissed.
  21. YOU CAN CHANGE NATURES?!
  22. It also serves excellently early on while leveling; switching between water, normal, and dark types for reliable coverage. It warrants use throughout the game without needing to rely upon support (or, at least, requiring minimal support).
  23. I would recommend listing Greninja as a Pokémon belonging to the S Tier, simply because Protean is amazing (although not as fun to risk and play with as the starter I opted for in my main save). ...also, if Mega Stones are implemented, Mega Charizard X should set that tree pretty high; probably A (although, if that's even going to happen, it's quite a while away).
