  1. Warning: Would suggest lowering volume.
  2. Honestly, I like both of these two kids for a lot of reasons. Shiro and Siegbert are essentially their fathers scaled back about 10 years. We know this because Xander himself tells Siegbert that he was not always a confident person and had to employ a trick in order to be able to speak, while Both of these two's visions of their father combined make for the perfect Dad. Shiro as a competitor respects his father's abilities and wishes to surpass them, while Siegbert's timid nature is complimented by his desire to match-up to Xander. First comes the equalizer, and then comes the surpassing. It's also what every father should want - a child that surpasses them in well-being and in abundance. As an addition to the first point, they contrast so well, and when paired they cover each other nicely, just as their parents do if they can bury the hatchet on the nation feuding thing.
  3. .............either Murdoc's getting incredibly unlucky, or Mozu isn't the mother.
  4. Damn it Fates - I was too resolved in AVOIDING jumping aboard the waifu train.

I GOT THROUGH BOTH ROUTES without falling into this trap.

...also while I agree with you, watch yourself, Tom. I don't like sharing.

But, Fates has like, bad gameplay. So why else would you play it?

....well, it WAS my first FE game, so I can't really compare it. I also thought Conquest's gameplay was satisfactory. It's the story that was....cringeworthy.

  5. Okay, okay. Chill. I wonder if Master Ninja has better growths than Merchant though.
  6. Mozu has two things going for her in the ability to pass Aptitude down to any child and that she's got real southern charm, but as a villager, her "pair-up bonuses" are not exactly helpful to the other person in most cases. I don't mean that kids don't want her as a mom nor do I mean that she is a bad unit. I just mean that she is not one of the most helpful pair-up partners in her base class. -- Merchant is a really wonky class. Usually, I would go for Profiteer and then head over to Mechanist or Master Ninja. Growths are dependent on the mother, and Mozu's are focused on Luck and Skill, meaning that Midori won't get much outside of Luck, Skill, and maybe Kaze's speed.
  7. If you were to min-max, your best pairings out of who's left now are as follows. Jakob - Nyx (Jakob - Peri may have the better support chain.) Keaton - Peri Kaze - Mozu --- Jakob has two choices when you throw "quality of support" into the equation. Peri has a thing for killing "the help" in her estate - or comrades in Jakob's profession (she actually threatens to kill Felicia for being incompetent.) - and Jakob is brave enough to not buttle like a kiss-ass for anyone not named Corrin (or whatever your MU's name is.) - making for a good conversation chain - but a "meh" Dwyer. You -do- get him access to Dark Mage from Peri however, because Jakob's secondary class happens to be Cavalier. Nyx however, gives the better Dwyer of the two due to having better magic growths. She naturally passes him Dark Mage and much better growths for it if you wanted to go Sorcerer, while also assisting him in his stave game. Really, this one's just up to you. Many people don't use Dwyer in Conquest because Elise, Felicia/Jakob, and Forrest hold down the support well enough. With that in mind, Peri might be a good pick. Nyx however helps the offspring much better. --- If you are like Amethyst and would consider USING Peri (without being Amethyst and marrying Peri herself) you want to go ahead and marry her off to Keaton after reclassing him to Fighter. This gives Peri HP+5, which shores her up really nice - and bonuses she would greatly appreciate. The resulting Velouria gets access to Cavalier, which is a good line for most units to pick stuff up like Elbow Room, Shelter, and Luna. Velouria also gets a fair Resistance growth from Peri...I think. The only other way I see it is simply cutting down Velouria down too far by giving her Nyx as a mother - which is bad as Velouria is one of the better all around Conquest units and Nyx makes her paper-thin, or sacrificing Midori by giving Peri to Kaze. Kaze probably didn't deserve that. (Ame would say the same thing...for different reasons.) ...God that support chain makes me want to shove a spoon down my throat though. --- I can't praise Good Guy Kaze and Southern Girl Mozu enough. It's probably the best pairing in terms of support conversations you have left to staple down just because of it's sheer simplicity and genuine good nature both characters have. Because Azura has already been paired, Mozu probably is the best wife on the board left for Kaze, however both units are fairly undesirable in a Conquest run and Mozu only doubles down on Kaze's strengths as opposed to patching him up. (unless you want to make Mozu an Archer, which is an extremely viable option if you're okay with using Kaze as a pair up bot.) Midori has a chance of getting a 100% percent Miracle proc rate, which is just stupid good, with both Mozu and Azura as a mother. Mozu gives her Aptitude, which makes Midori a viable unit when it comes to getting better level ups. The problem with Midori is finding a space for her offensively - as she is nearly essential in non-DLC runs to bring home the bread but often could end up as dead weight if not given enough help. This one is for the heartwarming support and the potentially terrifying child. "My diagnosis, this is what you want. Done."
  8. It's very, very, very hard to get an ultra-ideologue on the bench because Congress has to approve the nomination in every case. That being said, if Trump were to win, he'd have an easier time of putting up a conservative judge than she would at putting up a liberal due to the Senate currently being in control by Republicans - so it doesn't make your point moot. If Hillary wins, she'll like get stonewalled for two years if she tries to put up Elizabeth Warren as opposed to sticking by Merrick Garland on Obama's behalf, simply because she doesn't have the Senate on her side. If you care about the Supreme Court going your way, it's probably best to vote by ideology all the way down the ticket. My biggest problem with liberal Supreme Court justices is that they seemingly use their power to effectively rewrite the law into something that it isn't for the sake of progress. If you want to change the law, that job doesn't fall on those on the bench, but those who you vote into legislative chairs. I don't think the Supreme Court should be as big of an issue in this election as it is for that reason, it's not just the President who's involved with the bench selection.
  9. Mike that's cheating...but thanks for enabling me. You're a good friend. Starting with Trump, I can't help but think Republicans got so desperate to win the White House that they picked a candidate that knows how to make the appeal without having to actually apply any policy at all and instead says all the right things. With the GOP - anger is a very easy emotion to tap into - and many of the observations about the social climate that the Donald points out are true to an extent. Since Obama has taken office, the nation has embraced a militant culture of "political correctness" to the point where even the most sound arguments and well delivered conservative speeches are shot down as inflammatory simply because we've been trained as a culture to believe being disagreed with is a form of micro-aggression. while Democrats are the champions of the minorities, the Republicans are champions for America as a collective. This means that liberals take heat unfairly for being anti-American and conservatives are (often wrongly) accused of spitting on diversity. ...and this is where Trump has proven time and time again that he had no business being nominated for the GOP - while having several flashes of greatness as a candidate. Looking at his tagline - "Making America Great Again" isn't an inherently bad wish for the country. He unfortunately comes off very much like a certain 1940's world leader in his pursuit of American greatness though with calls for banning people based on their faith from the country, building a wall because of the nationalistic lie that American jobs are at risk of being lost by Mexican immigrants. What the next president has to understand is that diversity is inherently a definitive part of the American puzzle. It's one of the many reasons why America -IS- great - and it's one of the many reasons Donald Trump was a grave mistake for Republicans. --- You should be anti-Hillary because she's as blatantly dishonest as they come (and able to get away with it because of the media climate this country has), she's bought out by Wall Street (as Sanders already levied against her in the Democratic Primary) and therefore isn't a sound representative of you the voter, and her rise to power was pretty much sealed before Bernie even decided he was going to run because she plays an active part in the biggest issue this country has to deal with - political corruption. Living in Texas, I don't know a single Hillary voter that has a reasoning for voting for her beyond "Better than Trump." whereas I know a remarkably low number of people that are voting for Trump for a reason other than "Hillary is the devil." I know several people on both sides that are voting for a candidate because they are the lesser of two evils. For the Republicans, this was the year to win the White House while the trendy thing in America is to be a Democrat because the Democrats weren't even thinking about putting their best candidate in the driver's seat at all and they blew it. For Democrats, it's gotta be a relief Republicans are so blind to the country's political climate that they put a horrible candidate of their own up, or Obama would for sure be replaced by a Republican.
  10. Looking at these "surgestions" 1. Cephus, just do Arthur and Effie for Percy alone. As mentioned before, you get both of them with fantastic availability at the same time, and both come with some great skills and classes for Percy to dabble in. As a Fighter, he can pick up Gamble and go back to Wyvern Rider to avoid the negatives of being a gambling Fighter due to Wyvern's excellent defense (and Effie's defensive growths.) HP+5 ...+ Effie's defense growth + Wyvern is extremely hard to beat down, especially if you hand down Arthur's Axe to his son. Sol from Hero and Axefaire from Berserker round out Arthur's gifts well. Effie can get Luna from GK and pass it down for the "psuedo-Aether" combo. Effie gives Percy a lot of unique defensive options, with Def + 2, Aegis and Pavise, and Armored Blow. 2. Keaton is a good option for Mozu if you actually plan on using her, because he basically gives her what she wants. I fail to see how Mozu is a good pair up unit for anybody else point for point though, she only gives Skill and Luck, the former being nice for ....critical hits I guess?, and the latter being the weakest skill in Fates. Child-wise, Velouria would like Aptitude because it gives a lot of great level ups and you can definitely argue that she wants them more than every other kid, except EVERY kid in all routes wants Aptitude. Maybe Archer Mozu gives different bonuses than Villager though. I personally think Mozu is better used on a unit like Kaze, where Luck is a lot more valued in Midori's case than it is in Velouria's in Conquest (meaning you get more gold bars) - and I also think Aptitude makes Midori much more usable than other mothers' skills would. Velouria has a lot of options for a mother. 4 (screw chronological order this pairing has my interest). I'm gonna have to try this one. Sophie likes speed and strength, Silas definitely likes partners who can give him speed, and Selena definitely likes firepower. In fact, Selena is essentially Hinoka in Conquest. That sets the record. Selena straight up IS a better mother for Sophie than Elise. Sever-....Selena would also appreciate the Cavalier line (most would) for things like Elbow Room (which will help her power acquisition) - while Sophie likes the quickness and things like Good Fortune, Axebreaker if she's going to be proficient in lances, and Sol because it's Sol. 3. Elise is SUPER hard to pair. Odin is by far the best because her growth's are extremely helpful for him AND especially Ophelia, while her deficiencies don't hurt her as much as it does other children. Blonde Ophelia is the prettiest too. SilasXSelena is a very good support chain, and so is OdinXElise.
  11. You know, there are times where I just automatically assume Reborn will put the blinders up and my messages get received as an attack thread even if it isn't, and then Reborn surprises me. Then there are times that Reborn seems like it's going to be tracking with me enough to have a very intelligent discussion even if I throw inadequate approach and fallacy into my original posts, and Reborn mirrors my insolence on purpose because they know I can do better. In short, you're right, Lexi. I'll never claim to be the best thread author on the site. I bring up serious issues and the like because I'm much better at it than I am at shitposting, and then occasionally there's...not much difference other than shitposts being appreciated and my posts just literally being shit. While I don't want to sweep Taco's criticism under the rug at all (he's right, don't hastily generalize people. It makes you look like an ass and your argument will fail to engage others.) - I stand by what I've said. For as popular as the phrase "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything" is - there will be times when the only time I can communicate an idea as effectively as possible is to emulate how I feel about the subject at that moment. In that moment, I felt pretty put off by liberalism because it seemed militant. In turn, it made me reply in a militant manner as opposed to filling my thread with any substance. I did my best with a disclaimer, and even if it wasn't enough to avoid nerves being grazed I got what I wanted. -some- positive discussion from the other side. The resounding message seems to be "don't judge all based on a few" as most responses have labled PETA as extremists and have actually been rather agreeable where I didn't expect it. Murdoc, you're absolutely on target when you say that partisanship is an issue in this country that is toxic. I feel like I'm on the side that gets attacked the most. Maybe it's because I always feel like I get attacked.
  12. Now that's different. I actually think the American government DOES have a debt to pay for the mistreatment of African Americans in the past as opposed to you. (and to be fair, maybe you still do too and it's just you explaining AA to me.) I also think Affirmative Action is - in most areas mind you - a good thing to have because there definitely is a need. I'll say I've been enlightened here too. As Tacos pointed out, I did need to specify a bit. As a white male who happens to be straight, life hasn't been so bad for me or my family that I have a vendetta or a problem to really fix in order to level the playing field. If anything, I could afford to be knocked down a peg (although I'd much rather just pull everyone else to the level I'm at unless sacrifice is absolutely needed.) - I still think America "never" being great is hyperbole to an extent, but it definitely varies in degree.
  13. I guess I'll just ask what liberals think about something next time because I didn't adequately make the intent clear. That's my fault and I will indeed say that I was being abrasive for many of the reasons you guys have pointed out despite being liberal as opposed to me being conservative. If I give a disclaimer, it's me trying (despite the mood I may be in) to offer an olive branch and indicate that I don't want this to be ONLY about complaining about people. I would reserve that for the status bar. My intent with a post such as this isn't some grand scheme of making the world a better place, but to gather understanding of what the other side actually thinks on these issues, and despite many of you seemingly taking offense - you've responded as I had hoped. --- Starting with you Neo, you bring up some fair points - and I haven't addressed in specific women/others, people of color, and those with differing sexual orientations. Looking at history as I did in general when making the post, you can definitely say that the angles are slightly different for those groups. African Americans specifically have had it pretty bad, while Native Americans have....probably seen better days (and the same could be said for other groups.) That being said, it's not as if reparations have been completely nonexistent. Yes, there is absolutely evident racial tension with regards to the American Justice System that has been present for ....pretty much ever. There's also opportunities out of being an African American, such as specific scholarships one could earn. As a white person looking at it in the scope of 2016 I could argue that this isn't exactly fair that I can't earn that scholarship because I never had the chance to BE black. In some areas, there's room for improvement (which can be said for most groups) - but that doesn't mean American greatness is non-existent. It's a country that has millions of immigrants every year coming in looking for opportunity. If America didn't have positives in place, why would people go there in such great numbers? I'll be waiting for that expiration date with baited breath. --- We all seem to agree that PETA is a joke. I'll take this as a landmark occurrence. --- I can see the standard the points you make on Americanism potentially not being great because other countries have other kinds of economies that succeed, Murdoc. I don't see how this translates to other kinds of economies (key word - economies) that work much better than America's does. I also fail to see how other countries are so much better off to the point where Americanism is something that can be said is outright "bad" to the point - and I would like to hear what you guys have to say. Contrary to popular belief, I can be agreeable, so long as I can see why it's to be believed. I was hoping to earn some explanations. --- I feel like Tacos just read the title of the thread already convinced I was talking about everyone in the tent. Not addressing issues in the first place is how they don't get resolved. --- I'm selfish, alright? Talk at me, and I'm helped. That's really the only reason I spoke up first.
  14. So, the first Gold Medal in Rio this summer was won by an American...in an event that pertained to gun use. It's okay for other countries to say "of course it was a gun sport" and roll their eyes, but it's really bad when Americans celebrate the fact by turning on you and make you out to be an awful person because of the means of which you acquired that gold medal you've only spent years training to win - or go so deep as to ignore the fact that you've trained for multiple years by instead highlighting your obvious resistance to "gun control" through past statements you've made. This leads me to my second "kinda-ish" rant about liberalism's ugly side. I invite the other side of course, to find two or three things about conservatives that they feel are "typical". I also want to take this time clarify that this is NOT my interpretation of what liberalism is, but it's a easy-to-fall-into misconception. Finally, this is more directed at American liberalism, and not so much global liberalism. Liberals are Anti-America in nature. There are two responses to Donald Trump's "Make America GREAT Again" tag. The first one is something I can fully give credit to Hillary Clinton's campaign on - that "America is ALREADY great."...which is a very acceptable counter, especially from an aspiring president like Hillary is. The second response also comes from Democrats just as often, and many of these responses stem from the Bernie Sanders-Elizabeth Warren "liberal" wing of the party. "America was NEVER great." A popular term Liberals like to refer to themselves as ..is "progressives" - meaning that they are making progress by whatever reforms they hope to pass. It's easy for liberals in this kind of mindset to think "America won't be great until we've made these changes" - but to say "America was never great" would seemingly be a load of crap being spouted from those who hold American citizenship (as opposed to just being an opinion of those who have never been there.) Finally - the changes that progressives want to make mirror those of several failed governments in the past - such as changing the free market capitalist economic structure of America that has been largely successful into a socialist economic structure that (more closely, not completely) reflects the depravity of the Soviet Union and other Communist nations that America previously assisted in releasing from said depravity. America has spent 240 years successfully operating a free market economy. It's not as "broken" as many outspoken liberals claim it is. Japan - who many of those same liberals defend - operates under the same economic structure. You see this bleeding way outside of the economic and even political arena, where celebrities and sports icons are SHAMED by many of their high-profile peers for their achievements because of their views. Liberals wish to be lower on the food chain -OR- value other forms of life over humanity. One of the things that I keep hearing about is the tragic story of Harambe the gorilla, and it's one thing liberals can't seem to shut up about. "Damn that human child for climbing into the gorilla exhibit. Damn his mother for not stopping him from doing so. Damn that zookeeper for protecting that child from certain harm. #FreeHarambe." PETA - or that one group that hates Pokemon just as much as Southern Baptist ministers do for different reasons - has inspired the left into a culture that seemingly places animal life well above the importance of human life. Outlawing leather jackets or eating anything other than man-made food in order to preserve the other species has become the "trend" in many parts of the US,along with attacking your peers that don't do the same. Anthropocentric people on the other hand, are much more likely to be conservative than they are liberal. --- This means that it's easy for me to think that conservatives care more about governing over American people than Liberals do, who wish to govern in a matter that conforms to the rest of the world and eschew Americanism while placing other species above the people you are supposed to be governing.
  15. CorrinXAnna is a very solid pairing. If you've played Awakening, the support chain just rehashes who Anna is because it's the only way her story gets told - but the resulting Kana is pretty (red hair Kana is best Kana) and leans heavily toward magic. This is good because using a Dragonstone counts as magical damage, and Kana's personal heals them at the end of the turn after using a Dragonstone. --- Supportwise, SilasXElise is a humorous one and well written, but the resulting Sophie doesn't have a whole lot of options and unfortunately there isn't a class that heals and uses lances or swords. This means Sophie is relegated to using the Levin Sword, Leo's Iceblade, or the Bolt Naginata in her base Cavalier class..or forced to grind through an ugly E rank in another weapon type in a very anti-grind route. Because Elise has a great magic growth, it's......."possibly" usable? It seems pretty risky. The good news is that it makes Sophie fairly resistant. It depends on what you're looking for most. The support is absolutely worth it, but the offspring may not be very optimal. --- Inigo and Azura are a sneaky good pairing, both for mutual use (as using Laslow for an endgame team is VERY recommended due to being the best Rallyer in Fates and Azura gives somebody an extra turn.) as well as in both offspring. Starting with the support buffs, Azura gives Laslow some much appreciated Speed, while Laslow gives Azura more damage output, something she could always use if she absolutely has to be put in the line of fire (and due to Laslow being a rallyer, he will more likely be adjacent to Azura and Co. than to an enemy in combat.) Soleil has a chance of picking up Luck +4, Voice of Peace (Allies within a 2-Tile radius take two less damage) from the songstress, and will always pick up Azura's insane 80 percent Speed growth, along with great growths (60 percent) in strength and luck. Soleil isn't the greatest Nohr kid, but Azura is arguably one of the better mothers for her. Essentially, Azura!Soleil is a one of the better ways to recreate a combat oriented Azura - while allowing the real Azura to do what she does best. Sing. Shigure is very much appreciative of any hard to obtain Rally skill Laslow may want to pass down because Shigure is probably the third best Rallybot in Fates (behind his father Laslow and a capturable Master of Arms in Lunatic Mode) He also appreciates Laslow's growths a tiny bit, but Shigure's own growths cause him to be a fairly decent unit in most cases. It's a shame Shigure can't get Fancy Footwork AND Perfect Pitch, because that would make him the best rallybot in the game by a landslide. Outside of Rallys, the Mercenary line doesn't do much for Shigure. --- Recommendations: Be nice to Charlotte and give her Xander. The resulting Siegbert is fantastic, and the girl, despite having personality issues, has enough of a good heart behind it all to make it worthwhile through the supports. Leo happens to like maids. Even if they are incompetent. Another person who likes maids is Niles...because reasons. Felicia is a tailor-made mom for Forrest because she can pass down Tomebreaker and Demoiselle to her son (he may even get both Gentilehomme himself, rounding the bases on the sexes), as well as her great Res and Magic allowing for him to thrive as a Strategist. Nina's options are limited with a magic mom, but Felicia's great Res mirror's Niles, passes a breaker skill to give Nina a niche as an anti-magic unit, and her Magic growth works if you can procure a Shining Bow for Nina. Camilla goes well with many units - with Keaton being an excellent frontrunner in my opinion. She gives Velouria Trample and Savage Blow (which will stack with Velouria's own Grisly Wound) - if you have Keaton paired with another person or want another idea, Niles also likes his seemingly privileged and well-endowed women....at the risk of getting the tables flipped on him in the support chain. Nina likes Camilla because Trample is kinda good and Mommy's growths allow her to be mixed with bow selection, while still holding excellent resistance growths. Beruka and Benny have funny support....... conversations, and Ignatius can handle Beruka's negatives as a son. Wyvern Rider gives Ignatius some interesting skill acquisitions, such as Swordbreaker (I think), Rally Defense, Strength +2... Tread lightly with Severa. She's not very kind to all Nohr kids....although she's probably a better mother for Sophie than Elise is. Jakob and Dwyer are good candidates for mothers like Peri, Selena, and Beruka - who can be hard to pair.
  16. Nyx is someone who takes a little more dedication to detail in lower modes. As a glass canon, she needs tomes that will be more accurate than Fimbulvetr and more effective than Fire in order to succeed at doing what she does best, causing massive amounts of damage - and more importantly, she needs you to play her more when the opportunity arises and less whenever you want to dish out massive magic damage. The best way to do this is to trade over either of those two tomes for Odin's Thunder tome and use Odin as a pair up bot to boost Nyx's resistance and magic in the early phases of the game - particularly when you recruit her in Chapter 9. She's very useful against the Spear Fighters (not named Haitaka) and Archers (including the ones getting buffed by Haitaka's Rally Defense) in the chapter. The difference between a good Nyx and a bad one is intentional usage. She will fall behind VERY quickly, as Chapter 10 features Sky Knights and Ninjas - or two types of enemies that have decent resistance - and from then on the enemies will give a sparingly equipped Nyx a very steep hill to climb. This makes a lot of usage during her join chapter imperative. In fact, this raises an interesting observation about Conquest (and possibly Fates as a whole). Many of the recruitment chapters are better served to those who join, either due to pre-promote strength or the types of enemies on the map. Chapter 8 for example is an absolute showcase for Niles, who joins and is a high resistance archer. 9 gives Nyx her best chance to make her mark (and a very good chapter to milk Azura for experience), 10 gives you Camilla (and Beruka is useful against the Spear Fighters), 12 gives you a very solid duo in Benny and Charlotte in a chapter where Benny can bait many lance using units over for Charlotte to slaughter... and so on and so forth. [Also worth noting, if you have lots of Visit Points, you may be able to claim Calamity Gate as a MyCastle reward. This is essentially the "dual tome." Nyx is a fantastic user of CG becuase it allows her to attack enemies she normally would avoid. Another good reward - should you have enough Battle Points - is the Mjolnir (sorry Norwegians) tome - which is essentially the "Killer Tome" and allows Nyx to serve as Ophelia would in part during the early game. These two tomes most definitely patch Nyx up as a unit.]
  17. Although I make it a principle, I really hate when I'm right.

  18. Thank goodness Vaporeon was nerfed. Forget that thing... I've come to the conclusion that the most common "Gym-worthy" Pokemon in Temple are Eevee and Exeggute, specifically because Vaporeon and Exeggutor are very hard to topple even over things like Dragonite at times.
  19. Commenting about Megas If you've watched Shadypenguinn, he seems fairly convinced that Sun and Moon will actually remove Mega Evolution completely. I don't know how I feel about the concept. I feel like competitively, there were Pokemon that could have -used- a Mega to gain viability, while others were perfectly fine fully evolved. --- Z moves and Alolan forms?....neat.
  20. Since I have a child unit, and I just watched Pheonixmaster1's three videos of encounter conversations between the child units and their fathers... - I was inspired to give said kid a similar Shakespearean soliloquy. --- Nona: Dad?....Why in the blazes are you pointing your blade at me? - "Dad?" Hunter: ... Nona:....Not gonna talk? What, did you actually lose to those invisible clowns? - "Tch..." Hunter: ... Nona: ...I guess that means I'm better than you at saving the people I love right? I mean, the difference is obvious even though both of us were successful. I'm here to tell the tale... Why are you standing there? WHERE IS YOUR REBUTTAL? - "I guess that means I'M better than you." Hunter: ... Nona: ....I see. Listen here Old Man. If there's one thing you wouldn't let me forget, it's that I should fight for what I believe in. I've done so ever since you helped me escape. I've fought for my friends here. I've fought for the hope you would be alive......I-.....I WILL fight to bring you back. I truly believe you will come back to me, and if you don't I will drag your half-invisible carcass home and I won't stop fighting. - "Listen here!" Hunter: ... Nona: Hahaha.... I guess that means I have to beat you in single combat and not an argument this time. I won't remember the outcome, but I bet you will. When you do and you come back to me, let me know I won....and give me a hug if you feel like, alright? - *laughter*
  21. I always associate Vero with "rugged-yet-urban", so I would assume in some way or some fashion that a Scrafty is befitting of him. His female counterpart Alice is exactly the opposite when it comes to half of the equation, making for just "high-class urban", so a softer looking Fairy type like Clefable or Sylveon would make sense for her. Kuro is just "that cool guy", and therefore I imagine he would work with several sleek Pokemon, such as Arbok or Zangoose. Lucia seems like a free-spirit intense contrasting character, so a pokemon like Primeape or Manectric would fit in her team easily. Ari exudes power, so if I were to claim that one trainer might use multiple starters, Ari would best exemplify that. Decibel is the most elegant of all of them, so a Pokemon like Gallade, Gardevoir, or oddly enough, Aegislash could be debatable. I don't know if I can really do justice by giving all six of our heroes a team of six, but I tried to give a rough idea of how you could build based on the personality and appearance (which is all we really have to judge by.)
  22. Alright, Ame. 1. To what extent are my powers in the first question? If I have the power to repopulate the earth, I would. Not because I have a high preference for having people around me, but because I do think it's better than not having anyone around me. That's all I have for now. I know where to find you. 2. Pheonix Wright, for reasons you probably don't have to think too hard about. A solid second would be Felicia because Texas heat sucks, two people doing a horrible job at cleaning my room is better than one, and ...she's pretty cute, alright? 3. I would - in true heretical fashion - trade my music ability for public speaking gains. Rose. Please don't hurt me. It's not that I hate music, but that it's a skill that I used to fit into a crowd and make friends as opposed to get me anywhere in life. 4. Sorrow. Anger has healing properties and provides extra motivation. Sadness leads to other defeatist attitudes and usually me at my very worst. 5. A Button: Punch. B Button: Punch. D-Pad: Punch............L-R Triggers: Some form of verbal abuse. Rawr. 6. This one isn't very hard Ame. If that one person was you, a family member, any of my other friends, my mentor Paul, etc I would -PULL- and sacrifice all of the unknowns. One, I'm that selfish, and two, I'm loyal almost to a fault where everyone I dislike benefits from it. 7....Not very much. I've been cursed with some FOIIINE family members. What I wanna know, is how come -I- didn't get their good looks. 8. Definitely not Mirai Nikki OR Fire Emblem - so definitely the Sims. As fantastical as the video game universe is, normalcy is comfortable and I don't like change. 9. Probably that one time when food was edible without picking up ominous amounts of radiation poisoning. 10. That member would be Rosesong - but there's probably 8 or 9 people in line ahead of me just from this site alone, so I'm not going to get my hopes up. 11. You know, I can understand the hold up many have when it comes to gender preferences, and in my case, I think you're an excellent example of being delicate when applying them. I wouldn't be eternally spurned if Rose's real shorthand name was for a masculine derivative over a feminine one, nor would I care if one's masculine features were those that were considerably "repulsive" as opposed to "attractive" when judged by society. It would come down to obvious legal implications -and- as mentioned before, gender preference. In which case, the answer is No. On my end, as opposed to yours, there's no such thing as equal implications. Engaging in relationships with the same sex would make me an astoundingly large hypocrite and would thus be damaging to my ministry, and engaging in a relationship with ANYONE who is too young would be considerably subject to action by local authorities. ...I'd like to take the time to say that I've had to grow a LOT over the last few months to come to this conclusion, due to how personal the question is between the two of us. Part of my heart isn't very happy with my final conclusion, because from the opposite side of the problem, I was VERY MUCH happy with you. Previously, I -would- have yearned for you to respond "Yes" if I were to ask you that question. However, and not because I'm cutting myself down here - you did the right thing by searching within yourself and unlike me, being honest. I owe it to you from then on out to return the favor.
  23. I've returned from camp...and I have a few things to say. Bernie is someone who I ultimately respect, but utterly don't agree with at least 80 percent of the time. He put himself (probably partially because the Democratic National Committee was better at quality checking Sanders than the GOP was at checking Cruz.) in a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't situation where he ended all hopes of a Sanders party takeover by endorsing Hillary the week prior to the party's convention. By doubling down on said endorsement, Mike is right in claiming he is indeed a sellout. That - to me at least - is infinitely better than being a liar and potentially stealing the nomination away from Clinton as many Sanders supporters hoped was the case. I know a lot of #NeverHillary Democrats were disappointed (and many of those were in attendance throughout the DNC's lineup of events.) - but by staying to his word, he can be the Democrats' answer to a disastrous Hillary presidency very, VERY easily (unlike Cruz, who may have sacrificed his own national political aspirations to stand behind the defense of his family. Many Republicans are very unhappy with his rebellion and the fact that he broke his word in supporting Trump from last year.) and ESPECIALLY a potential Trump presidency. --- Time to get my ass in gear and give the Democratic National Convention some grades. DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION - PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA. Three keys to success for the herd of donkeys last week: > Dump (on) Trump > Sell Clinton -or- Obama's America > Get the Bernie-or-Busters back in the fold. --- Starting with Donald Trump... The Democrats did a very good job of making Trump look bad... and they did it in a way where they were able to secure Hillary's endorsement from Bernie Sanders (whose voters Trump was hoping to scoop up based on protectionism and political corruption alone.), while making America look like it already -was- great. The slate of speakers included a Gold Star family, who lost their son, a Muslim American soldier, fighting under the Stars and Stripes. The father held up a brochure copy of the Constitution and asked Trump if he had even read it, drawing cheers from the Philly crowd. It featured husband and former President Bill Clinton showing the country he still has his special brand of oration "on fleek" (while tastefully avoiding mentions of Monica Lewinsky - as many Republicans such as much as myself added into the speech for the laughs.) On top of that, Trump couldn't keep his Twitter mouthpiece quiet, criticizing the speakers and making an ass out of himself. I - begrudgingly - have to give it to the Dems. They played this one very well. A ....who in their right mind thought "on fleek" was something that needed to be trendy......I need to wash my mouth out with soap. --- The choice was to sell Hillary Clinton, or to sell President Obama's efforts the past eight years. Smartly, the Democrats played it safe and went with being the "Pro-America" party. President Obama himself referred to his efforts a total of 119 times throughout his time on the stage. The Democrats don't get points for being risky though. It's easy for the incumbent party to make America look good. That being said, they did it well enough to where they were upstaging the Republicans a week later - making very Republican-esque appeals to American greatness by bringing speakers like military leaders to the stage to double-down on fighting ISIS. Many conservatives - including myself - took notice. A Hawkish donkey is a surprisingly good look for a donkey. B --- The Democrats biggest downer of the week came in much the same form as the Republicans' the week prior. Except instead of trying the unify the party behind someone that thinks he doesn't need the whole party to win, Hillary Clinton passed on the more liberal wing of her own party altogether in favor of disenfranchised conservatives, centrists, and NeverTrump Republicans. In much the same form and fashion the Cruz supporters in the arena wanted a rules vote, the Bernie backers raised hell on the convention floor prior to Day 1's scheduled speaking slots. Unlike the Cruzers, the Sandersistas continuously protested throughout the week - even going so far as to boo their aged champion when he doubled-down on his earlier endorsement. Prior to that, the Bernie fans caught wind of a Wikileaks mass dump of e-mails from various high ranking officials in the Democratic Committee's brass. These e-mails seemed to indicate that the DNC was not very happy with Sanders' existence in the race and there appeared to be some game-rigging during the campaign being discussed. This led to Democratic Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schulz resigning and led to Bernie supporters being angered just before the party had begun. DWS later was allegedly made honorary chair of Hillary's campaign following her resignation, drawing the target back to Hillary. Before all of THAT Hillary had selected center-lefty Kaine as her running-mate, an unattractive pick to liberals when Hillary had previously been seen campaigning with lefty-legend Elizabeth Warren. Finally, the tone of the convention was more Anti-Trump and broad than it was focused on propping up the progressive movement. This indicated a seemingly apparent pivot to America's center in an effort to make the race a "Trump vs. America" race, as opposed to a "Conservative vs. Liberal" race. It gave the impression that the Democratic Party was prepared to leave the Sanders campaign for dead. Not a good beacon of "unity". D --- AVERAGE - B- - The Democrats win the battle of bashes by surviving some early growing pains and appealing across the aisle in their race to destroy Donald Trump. It wasn't spotless, and there's still a part of the Democratic Party that is beside itself, but the major focus in Philly was making America look good, and it did just that. It was nice to see a little bit of hope for once.
  24. So recently I got past Chapter 7 of Conquest on Hard with the help of my previous MyCastle rewards - namely the second Freeze staff, holding the Seal Speed Faceless in place until the paired-up monsters were the only units remaining. Looking at the rest of the game as a whole, I can understand the saying "it only gets harder from here" - but in the short term, Chapter 8 and Chapter 9 are MUCH easier than Chapter 7 in my opinion. > The skills on the Ice Tribalists aren't nearly as gnarly. Fighters normally have HP+5 when among your ranks - so seeing them on enemy ranks only meant they would be annoying to whittle down. Dark Mages normally have Heartseeker and Malefic Aura (which is the scariest Skill an enemy has on this chapter in my opinion.) > The invading Hoshidan troops are headlined by a pair of Seal Defense Spear Fighters - another Skill that is commonly held by the class so no complaints - and Seal Defense can be absolutely scary if the wrong unit gets debuffed or you fail to clear the nearby enemies. Other than that, all of the archers are no problem except for the two flanking Haitaka. Underdog can be bad. Following Chapter 7 you can pick up Mozu, Odin, Niles, Nyx, and a free second turn from Azura....all of which are much better than Arthur.....save for Odin.
