    [EDIT]: it may be that Kenny is at Critical Level (the level at which the pokemon only needs one more EXP point to evolve.) that encounter with the houndoom brought him up a level, as did the encounter with the group after falling off the cliff (in other words, he's at Level 16). if i'm not mistaken, @Murdoc, Aramantha's also at level 16...

    *Wakes up in steel chair* "What the?!" this is my own castle! *Teleports self out of Dungeon, and other two to the Hill, where they promptly challenge Zephyr's Clone* *heads to parapet to watch the fireworks of their battle*

    "thanks, Pecha's one of my favorites." he accepted two of the berries, eating one and saving the other one for later. "i lost my trainer to a rift... i don't know if he's still alive or not. i certainly hope he is." suddenly, a rustling noise came from a couple of nearby bushes. "hang on, i think we've got company. i'll check it out." Kenny then went into the bush that had rustled most recently. "oh my." Kenny then came running out of the bush. "Guys, we've got company, and it isn't too friendly, either. you might want to prepare for trouble." with that, Kenny faced back towards the bush in an aggressive stance. suddenly, more rustling comes from a bush on the other side of the path. "What the?!... we're surrounded! well, i'll just check out who's on the other side..." Kenny turned around, and then headed into the other bush to find the source of the second rustling. "Huh?! Who're you guys?! never mind, i'm outta here!" Kenny then ran out of the bush, and gave the group the intel on what was in the bushes: "on one side of us, there's some kind of creature that i don't know about, and on the other side, there's a Pancham, a Dewgong, and a Cyndaquil!"

    "you guys have it easy. i've had to get along without my trainer..." as Kenny said this, he looked at his Bracelet, and started to feel a little sad. a tear formed, and rolled down his cheek as he remembered all the good times and the many victories against higher-leveled opponents he and his trainer had shared in.

    or, perhaps it could be that not only do i manage to catch a Pikachu and give it to Surge, but my "Tale's End" could have me, well,... (I'll PM you if you want, @ Ethic. it explains how the Pikachu Ash gets comes about and is so powerful, as well as it's personality.)

    "actually, Umbreon, it was four, because i needed to use Hydro Pump on Houndoom's Tail to get Houndoom's Attention. By the way, Houndoom, you're quite the Tank! i've never had so much trouble with taking down a Fire type. normally, when i hit a Fire Type with Hydro Pump, it OHKOs them. however, i couldn't even defeat you with two Hydro Pumps! it took a Critical-Hitting third Hydro Pump, along with a little help from Togepi, to do you in. i can only attribute your strength to your trainer's skill. if you took that many attacks, i can only imagine how much damage you would've done to me if you'd had the chance, despite my typing."

    Gale, you've got a dive ball now. i like the dive ball the most of the three ball types you've got. (it's my water typing that's causing the preference.) [EDIT]: Sark, we know you're there! [EDIT2]: We know you're there too, Theo! [EDIT3]: Zephyr, you have a Dive ball in your possession.

    As the Togepi used Wish on Houndoom, healing it back to half health, Kenny was rushing back from the Pokemart with a couple Potions and a Super Potion balanced on his Scalchop, and he was also carrying three miniaturized Dive Balls in his other paw. he placed the Potions and Super Potions on the ground. "They had no Revives, but i found these. there's a LOT more where these came from, and they heal damage! i tried one of them out, and the damage i took from that electrical attack earlier was healed. i also found several other Items, including these." as he said that last bit, he tossed one miniaturized Dive Ball to Gale, and another to Zephyr.
