If you haven't defeated Aya and obtained the Venom Badge, you can't quite yet. If you have, you'll need to take the Magnet Powder found in the Blacksteam Factory, and the Corrupted Poke Ball found by using Rock Smash on a wall in the Underground Railnet to a shop in Obsidia Ward called Critical Capture.

The most frustrating moment/moments in Pokemon Reborn
Lost Lore replied to mar_mar's topic in Reborn City
Chrysolia Forest. Every time. It's supposed to be as easy as doing loops, but I always end up getting lost anyway. ...That was not a pun this time I swear. The cultist puzzle is only frustrating on that one guy at the very end who looks back and forth- always takes me so many tries to get past him. All the frustration in the world wouldn't be enough to get me to stop playing, though- I enjoy Reborn too much. Getting hopelessly lost and being smashed into the ground by difficult bosses is part of the adventure!~ -
I just need to bookmark this topic or something. So many people looking for past episodes... But yeah, here's a link to E10.1 for ya.

Y'all are missing the point of this thread- you do need to get the guy in the robe to talk to you at least once to progress the story. You've missed talking to someone somewhere? If I'm remembering right, the order is to talk to someone from the Gang you joined, then the junk dealer, then the guy in the robe. He also doesn't actually move out from in front of there for a while yet, so that's irrelevant for right now.

The best pokemon you didn't know you had
Lost Lore replied to aregularyoutuber's topic in Reborn City
...I still remember that my Persian critted Shelly's Yanmega with Power Gem, which, along with Pignite's Heat Crash one-shotting the Volbeat, went on to win me that battle on the first try. Which is not something I can say for every other Gym battle on my first playthrough, heh. I still think the Pokemon that surprised me the most was Pachirisu early game. Once you manage to get it something other than Bide, it will literally stall out anything you toss it out against. Your choice of Pickup for the items or Volt Absorb for Julia is pretty cool, too. Granted, I'm not kidding when I say almost anything will surprise you then. I try different things every time I start a new playthrough, and everything I can remember using did really well. -
Ooooo! Someone else who did a Psychic mono! You are correct when you say that getting past Shade is a task and a half. I don't know how much advice I can offer, since I fought him before he got his new field, but: Light Screen is your friend in this battle, first and foremost. Meowstic already has it (or should) and Braixen gets it soon enough, so you'll have it to use. Once Braixen evolves, Mystical Fire is a huge help in cutting down how much damage you take from Shadow Ball as well. As for Psychic-types... I think the only other ones you'll have access to before him are Gothita and Smoochum. The former did okay for me, but I did grind her into a Gothitelle and spam Common Candies before that battle, so I don't know... The latter also requires you fighting some obscenely high leveled Beartic to obtain now, so I don't know how feasible that endeavour is. Oh yeah, you can also breed a Sunkern, and trade that for Mime Jr. in Lapis Ward. I didn't keep Mr. Mime for long, but it lacks a few of Psychic's more irritating weaknesses (Dark and Bug). It also gets Light Screen, and Reflect for that matter.

Focus on ZEL's Eeveelutions first~ If you can take them out, it's two on one. Lead with Litleo and Frogadier, since they resist Glaceon's Ice attacks. A bit more grinding couldn't hurt, but really, I think you can win as-is.

Deliverance is Amaria's ace, though, isn't it? Charlotte's ace was level 74, so I'm doubtful that Amaria's will be the exact same level, after we've already fought Charlotte. I'm thinking this is just a showcase of the field, not a sign of things to come. (Well, in this episode, anyway... obviously we'll have to battle her eventually.)

I can't decide what my favourite thing she's ever said is: Where she keeps her hammer or whatever she's been doing on that couch. (Or the previous couches, for that matter.) ...Or that nothing escapes her b00ty. Unfortunate comment with or without context, that. Reborn has made us suffer, it's only fair that it makes you suffer as well
-
Splash actually being useful is clearly the best part of the Water's Surface field. ...Another legendary? Of course we won't be able to catch it- what kind of game do these people think Reborn is? We're getting relatively high in level now, at least, so it hopefully won't be too painful of a battle... Inb4 it's level 100

4/6 Pokemon are pretty slow, so I fail to see how it doesn't? (I was also under the impression you were supposed to have a couple of speedy Pokemon that can function outside of Trick Room on a Trick Room team, but, what do I know?) Also, if not Energy Ball, there's also Thunder. It has shaky accuracy and it might not be offering you much by way of coverage, but if you forego HP Ground/Shadow Ball, Reuniclus has nothing to hit Steel-types with. Not that that's much of a problem because you could just switch, but hey, it's a suggestion.

[Dark] "Lore Keeper" Lost Badge: Rift Badge TM: Dark Pulse Ace: Absol Supporters: Tyranitar, Honchkrow Opening text: "Welcome. I hope you didn't get too lost on the way here... well. Unintentional puns again, it seems! "Regardless, a lantern will not be nearly enough to circumvent this darkness. After all, even though the stars light the night sky above, without the moon, you wouldn't be able to see anything around you at all, now would you? "...Well, that's irrelevant, isn't it? Come." If the victor: "I did indeed warn you, didn't I? Don't worry, though- you're welcome to return once you've honed your skills more." When defeated: "It seems you've managed to find a light to guide you... Well done." After the battle: "You're not afraid of the dark, are you? That's good. It has its charms, after all- most people don't realize that. They've spent too much time running away from the monsters they so dearly believe are 'lurking'. "Here is the Rift Badge, to remind you to continue striving for your dreams, even if they take you down into the reaches of where nightmares are born. And also my favourite TM... well, my second favourite one, anyway. But it would be rather silly of a Dark Gym Leader to award a Ghost TM, now wouldn't it?" [Psychic] "Mystic" Lost Badge: Rumination Badge TM: Calm Mind Ace: Meowstic Supporters: Girafarig, Gallade Opening text: "Welcome. I take it you're adequately prepared? "Though the mind is, indeed, a wonderful tool, it can also be a weapon. When it comes right down to it, however, how you wield it is what ultimately determines whether or not it's been used incorrectly. And, as 'right' and 'wrong' are down to one's morals... well, perhaps it's not that simple at all. "So tell me, how well have you planned for this battle? And, more importantly, will it be enough?" If the victor: "It seems you haven't planned nearly enough... or perhaps, your strategy wasn't the right approach." When defeated: "It seems your mind was well-managed." After the battle: "Ironically, for all the planning that one can make, there's no accounting for every little possibility. In the end, luck is just as important of a factor, and it can make or break even the most methodical approach. "...Well, here. Have the Rumination Badge, as a reward for triumphing over me. And this TM... which should help you focus your thoughts a little more clearly." I would do a third one, but this is enough walls of text for now, I think. Maybe later. /apparently seriously expects someone to be surprised by her doing walls of text for her dialogue

Aaaactually, for Meowstic... I would go Modest. Compare base 104 Speed to base 83 Special Attack, and tell me which one it needs more of. Especially the female one, because she's an all-out attacker. Everything else I would have said, has been said already, I think.
-
...B-but I like generic Japanese rock-pop songs about kokoros... I'm going to agree with this, though- there's no more fitting music for Reborn as a whole. Besides perhaps that on the title screen.
-
Prankster Meowstic. Charm and Reflect makes the thing pretty laughable (for a 30+ level advantage, anyway), and then it's pretty simple to clean up from there. Not as easy as it used to be since you can't really lower its Defense and fling an Ice Fang at it because of the field, but... still not too bad. Who am I kidding- Prankster Meowstic is my answer to every boss in the game Prankster Meowstic is obviously also the answer to life itself I need to go to bed before I get into incessant babbling territory

It's called the Mysidia Railcave. It appears on the southeastern side of Chrysolia Forest, on a windy night. They're a bit uncommon, too, so expect to spend some time searching for one.
-
It'll trigger an Absol event later in the game, if you bring it to a certain place. If it has any further uses, we don't know yet (since it's not consumed by said event).
-
It's a rare encounter Beneath the Grand Stairway, if I'm remembering right. It also comes at obscenely low levels (I think mine was level... 2?) so be prepared if you intend on hunting for one.

There really aren't all that many characters in Reborn I dislike- all of them have one quality or more that I'm quite fond of. Anyway, my favourite by far is Radomus. Excuse me while I trip over myself trying to word this properly: The way he speaks makes him seem serious all the time, but he doesn't tend to take anything too seriously, despite that. His strange sense of humour has made me laugh on many an occasion, and he very quickly became one of my favourites once I'd gotten to the point he's at on my first playthrough of E10. The costume changes are just the icing on the cake, really. Especially all of those hats, man. There are a lot of others I could consider favourites. Cain because of his blatant innuendo and flirtation, not to mention bursting into song, all at what are possibly the most inappropriate times; Charlotte's overall worldview (and she and her sisters in general for their badassery); Shade for being mysterious and leaving you guessing as to his intentions, how much I enjoyed his Gym non-withstanding (even though it scared the hell out of me the first time through); and Luna, who very much acts as though she's a character from a storybook, and whose love of darkness I very much share. Oh yes, and Terra. But everyone loves Terra. I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did at her introduction.

The "Adventurine" Cave is not a thing that exists, it's Aventurine* Although the Aventurine Cave does not exist anymore, either- it's a part of Celestinine Cave now. But yes, that's where the Ice Rock is found.

You can buy Super Potions from a vendor right next to where you can heal in the Onyx Trainer's School. You won't be able to buy them otherwise until Beryl Ward, so I'd stock up while you still can~ Edit: ...And yes, as Jericho has just ninja'd me to say, Tropius is pretty good. Just be aware that it's not obtainable until after Corey- I learned this the hard way. It's also sadly the only Grass-type that would effectively be able to clear his field...
-
Grass/Poisons are your friend. They're not weak to Pin Missile. Also, your Grotle can set up to take hits from it with Curse, right? Does it have Shell Armour? Even if it doesn't, it'll take a couple crits to ruin your day- it's sturdy. You can get Weepinbell and Roselia for other Grass/Poisons at this point, and there's Hoppip, although that won't really put in much work unless you like grinding over the cap for Acrobatics. It's at least not weak to Pin Missile, though (and immune to Sand Tomb).
-
It's definitely Terra. She's just looking for some choice b00ty. Nothing suspicious about that, now is there?
-
No one said she had to stay in her Gym all the time, ya know... she probably went to get some coffee. As for Victoria, we're about due for another battle with her (we've had five with Fern and Cain, but only four with her) so I'd say she'll probably appear soon enough. ...Never mind the fact that Team Meteor killed her sensei. She's not going to sit quietly while they're up causing a ruckus to the north- I would think she'd want to at least aid in the battle against them.
