  1. Abusing the Item Finder. It's surprising how Reborn's population is so negligent with their stuff.

  2. Anyone know if Reaper Cloths are in the game yet? A Dusknoir would be cool.

Well, my Pokeymans are closer to its level this time around so I should handle it. Yay ghosties!

Caught my ghost thingy. Should I name her Kayako or Samara? Or Edith? Or Dana. Or something.

      Name it Jesus...

  3. Sign on Route 1: "Fern was here. [Player] is a loser." Not only do you suck as a trainer, you even rip off Gary.

  4. H'okay, I finally beat Noel. I had to evolve and grind up a Jolteon, gave it a Zap Plate for a boost, waited until it was raining for a 100 percent accurate Thunder (resourceful or cheap? You decide.), and wrecked Staraptor and Swellow with some satisfying OHKOs. The rest I handled with my Empoleon, Scrafty, and Crobat through a combination of type effectiveness, tanking, and brute force. Noel wasn't fun. D: But at least I was victorious.
  5. To all you meta-battlers content with abandoning the Pokemon you took the time to breed and hatch, just remember poor, poor Chimchar.
  6. What the meta game teaches: worthiness is quantified through precise numbers, and if you weren't born the way someone else wants, too bad--enjoy life on the streets you worthless non-shiny Charmander.
  7. One of the trainer resets of ep 11 is Suzy from the Obsidia salon. I can get another Vulpix for no effort. :3

Haha, I'm actually not sure I will. I feel guilty taking advantage of a bug, even if it means moar Pokeymans.

  8. Spiritomb whoop whoop. I don't know whose shit I'll get to wreck with it, but wrecked shit will happen regardless.

Spiritomb is 108 spirits into one... You can destroy everything, c'mon...

The programming says otherwise. Maybe I can stuff a bunch of TMs in it and see what happens.

  9. As much as I'd like to give a strategy not dependent on a single Pokemon spamming a certain move, my Crobat's mad acrobatic skillz is the only way I got through Kiki.
  10. If you have to load your coffee down with tons of sugar and milk and cream, it doesn't count. Be cool like the rest of us and drink it black. Don't be a poser. Treat the best beverage ever with the respect it deserves. Modern society wouldn't function without it.
  11. My Crobat never learned Cross Poison. Should I take advantage of the day care center because my current Crobat is an inadequate Crobat?

Or just, y'know, catch a new Zubat.

    2. Tempest

      Tempest

You need a heartscale. It's the only way to teach it cross poison.

    3. The Radiant Aeon

      The Radiant Aeon

Or he can do it his way. So much better.

  12. What level were they? I tried it with my Crobat. Tail Slap + Rock Blast = fainted mon.
  13. The current problem is that I flat-out cannot get past that Cinccino. I open with my Empoleon, who's resistant to most of its attacks, but that damned thing is still able to brute force me just because all its multi-attacks hit five times. None of my other team can hit hard and fast enough, or survive long enough, to do substantial damage and still have enough strength to handle Noel's other five Pokemon.
  14. I'm on episode 11, it that makes a difference. Noel's Cinccino destroyed me before I get far, although I admit my attempts at him have been half-hearted at best. If you share your horror stories with Noel (preferably ones where you won in the end), that might put me in a better position to beat him. My current team is: -Empoleon (lv. 53) -Gardevoir (lv. 51) -Scrafty (lv. 49) -Crobat (lv. 49) -Magmar (lv. 51) -Gyarados (currently training)

My memory fails me right now... (Damn me fighting Noel in episode 10)

I can think of some stuff, but you could make a topic about it... it would be easier i think...

    3. Arkhi

      Arkhi

Steel types are actually great against him. Unfortunately for you, Cinccino's bullet seed hurts Empoleon

  16. It'll come when it comes. You can't rush pain greatness.
  17. Obsidia since it seems to be a bustling, shop-y kind of place, and it's right around the corner to Onyx ward's school (and arcade). Granted, this would assume I'm not so much of a hobo that I couldn't afford to actually live there, but that's what my team is for: gotta get cash somehow.
  18. Sign I saw: "Evolution is a lie." How depressing. Clearly, for someone, reaching level 16 for a Charmeleon was too tough.

  19. Dr. Sigmund Connal took a Dragonite's Hyper Beam point blank. And smashes through a wall. And LIVES. Does everyone in Reborn have freakish survival skills?

  20. Luckily my Gyarados does indeed have Moxie. Looks like Dragon Dance comes a bit later down the line, but I'll hold out for it. From what I'm hearing, a Gyarados might as well not be a Gyarados without DD. I'd need to grind it up to that point anyway since my Pokes are already nearing their 50s. I guess I can manage with the less-than-perfect accuracy of its other attacks since I don't have many options, and they seem like decent moves, anyway. Thanks for helping me not suck, guys!
  21. The Spritzee one would've given me a lot less trouble if I'd known what a Spritzee was. *Is unfamiliar with Gen 6* I honestly thought I was piecing together a plant with an eye.
  22. I can't hate Bidoof. You have to admire a Pokemon who's such a derp that one of their abilities is bypassing stat changes because it doesn't notice them.
  23. Maybe this just demonstrates my incompetence as a Pokemon Trainer, but I actually don't see what the big deal is with Gyarados (don't kill me, Vinny!). I think it's because I just don't know how to properly use one. I don't like its natural moveset; it only gets STAB on two of its attacks, and its higher end ones don't even have a 100 percent accuracy (I get nervous using those kind of attacks... I've found I can't count on them). My only assumption is to TM the crap out of it. But, TMs are in short supply in Reborn. I feel guilty for not using a resident ass kicker of the Pokeymans world, but my general incompetence means it's been collecting dust in my PC since I got it. I'd like to change that. Going by the obtainable TMs in Reborn, what sort of movesets do you recommend for a Gyarados?
  24. God works in mysterious ways. http://askhelixfossil.com/#nhsiu3
  25. Oh yeah, Empoleon's resistances rock (though I thought OP was looking for Grass or Electric?). He's a cool tank, but having a good Water-type isn't as high a priority as I expected in Reborn. There were only a handful of battles where it had a primary role rather than a secondary. At least its defenses make up for it. Thank you, Tempest. I'll leave it up to you to imagine what's got him all... WTF.
