  1. Lol I was waiting on Anita, but K_H if you think there's too little to post for I don't actually need a post and I can jump you guys to the library (although I need to poof Reasonable Trick first)
  2. Reasonable Trick Trick didn't waste time trying to think up answers, she responded immediately with as much detail as she could manage. "You tried to heal a ghost, which basically resulted in you giving up your state of living to make the ghost alive instead. There's not too much difference, you'll just feel cold and empty. You shouldn't be able to die and pain will be a bit numb, whether that's good or not depends on how you feel about the value of pain. Most of the time ghosts burn up every few hours and reappear somewhere else, you self-heal so it should anchor you in place." She explained, "Ghosts themselves are a conglomeration of souls from people who died en masse, they appear at locations relevant to the dead for a short while before moving to a new location at random. They possess a unique personality, usually a very odd one, but can switch to the personalities of the souls within them for a short while. They also contain a large mass of power, which grants them a special ability when controlling an element. This one, "Trick," has power over the Soul or mind, allowing her to do anything that could be perceived as "destruction of the Soul." Without proper guidance she is likely to cause many deaths with what seem to her to be harmless pranks. "As for whether you are dead or not, that's really up to you. If death is a matter of the physical, then yes, you are dead. However your soul is still perfectly alive, it's just not in your body anymore. You're not even really a ghost, almost the exact opposite. Rather than a bundle of souls that have left their bodies, you are a single body that has given up her soul. It's a rare case for the soul, which also represents the mind, to be separate from a fully conscious body. The way I see it, you are half alive, and a couple dozen dead girls are also half alive. That's a net gain from the one alive girl and several dead girls that you started with. I doubt that comforts you, but comfort isn't exactly my thing, my apologies." Though her explanation was finished, Trick still had more to say. "I'd like to ask you a question myself, you needn't answer if you don't wish to. Have you encountered any other supernatural beings besides this ghost? I'm looking for someone, but since I'm almost never in control of this body it's hard to do much searching. Attaching this fragment to a ghost was a poor idea, but it was also my only option to survive as anything close to myself."
  3. Quess who~ Lol Strat, that's great Random Lexi thought of the point in time that she thought of it: Genos has the same eyes as Layla
  4. Trick (sort of) The ghost's ability to switch to the personality of one of the souls inside it was a wild and uncontrollable one, but Arturia's wish for reason was enough of an anchor for a specific mind to push its way through. Latching onto the concept of reason, she tugged her way to the surface, forcing herself to be in control. "I sensed a call for reason." Said Trick, or rather the being that possessed Trick's body, "That was once my duty to provide, I like to think I'm well versed in the art. However the ghost will resume control in a short while and there is no guarantee I can force myself forward again, so you best make haste. What is it you need to know? I shall do everything in my remaining power to explain it."

  6. Why are IRL people so age restricting on friendships? Like most of the time I can't be friends with someone as few as two years displaced from me

Because like relationships, some people think it's just weird, it seems. I agree, I am tired of that stigma as well.

  7. Haley Haley wasn't exactly much help, as she had gone back from trying to escape to being shocked and confused. She didn't even try to meet Arturia's gaze, there was nothing she could say to help. "I'm not anyone, I'm dead people." Trick explained, "You didn't heal me, you made me half-alive. I know! Maybe one of me can help more than all of me. Fingersnap~" Trick snapped her fingers, silently as always, and... Nothing happened. Haley was actually relieved, every time the girl had done that, something horrible or strange had happened. For once, everything was fine. Or at least, everything Haley could see was fine "Oh, I can't do that, whoopsie." She shrugged, "I guess you get to do that now. There's a lot of me in me, and I can be a different me, but you have to make me be a different me by thinking of me as being different. And then maybe I can explain me."

I mean, I suppose it's weird for most people... I don't think it's weird at all. TBH I think it's the best written of the arcs that the anime has covered so far

  11. I took a mix of inspiration from the Star Wars EU's Killiks and the Milky Way Replicators from Stargate. Eventually becoming the insectoid data storage you see here I'm thinking along the lines of the whole "knowledge seeker" thing inherent to the species and have G'br'sh be some kind of underworld information broker

  15. Very WIP Name: G'br'sh (Closest pronunciation would be Gabrush) Gender*: Male (sort of, K'th'l gender concepts are based on humans, they sort of just choose what fits them best at the time) Age: 130, ~50 Species:K'th'l Species Description*: Appearance: G'br'sh constructs his K'th'lites in the shape of a moth with the type of wings that fold over his back, although he has no patterns of any kind on his body or wings. He is capable of bending his body backwards to allow him to interact with humanoids, however this looks very strange and disturbing to most. The high density of K'th'lites in his body is indicative of how much knowledge he carries Personality: G'br'sh cares only for knowledge. Beyond his species' general quest to learn, G'br'sh seeks only the most tasteful knowledge, that which is currently applicable. Gossip and rumors are his sustenance and he will stop at nothing to fill his figurative belly. He generally holsd a disposition of politeness, but beneath this is a savage being who will tear you apart to get to the knowledge you have (once he took this literally and tore up a computer thinking he could get to the password-protected knowledge by looking inside the hard drive). He's generally very agreeable, willing to concede knowledge in return for the knowledge he gathers from others. He doesn't take kindly at all to requests for knowledge that offer nothing in return Abilities*: G'br'sh has an almost unrivaled ability for constructing information networks, to the point where even within Black Moon he knows far more about events than most other prisoners. He also packs himself very densely, meaning that he's much harder to break apart than others of his species, but in return he's much easier to push and smash Biography: G'br'sh has spent the past sixty-ish years as an information broker, trading knowledge for knowledge and making a small (read: massive) profit on the side. He constructed a rather large information empire, making him one of the largest databases of information on current events--both in the public sphere and the underworld--in the known universe Reason for Sentence: G'br'sh managed to gather (and share) a bit too much information about Black Moon. His arrest for "slander and libel against multiple upstanding parties" is completely unrelated to this and is in no means a coverup Other: Is largely vulnerable in terms of physical assault, as he no longer has well-trained bodyguards on detail constantly
  16. Well I mean sure he can not know all he wants. But I've been running on a "if you don't know it's there, it isn't there" way of doing things both OOC and IC, so he'd have to be severely lacking in genre savvy to- Oh wait, never mind, carry on But just FYI, there's no medical staff. And there's really no reason for there to be

  20. You know, my only worry going into OPM was that they would try to give it a plot. And people trying to assuade my fears assured me that it's wasn't just plotless comedy. Genius

  22. Seeker Seeker's usually stoic facade actually faltered. Not with any form of guilt, but rather a stifled laugh. "Oh hardly." She said, "We only have enough time to try this once before it won't matter. If the winner of this tournament does not defeat Nil, then there won't be time to find someone else. Frankly, you're assumptions are shallow. What gives you the right to complain about your supposed expand-ability while asking us to risk an entire Plane's worth of people on your behalf? You really don't seem to understand the implications of failure. If one of us fights and loses, or even takes too long to win, then the Tenth gets everything. Until it's the last resort, we're not going to risk that." "Or maybe you're all just too weak and afraid yourselves." Cardinal suggested. "If that's what you think then I'm sure we can prove you wrong." Seeker answered calmly, "In fact a plan to do so is already in the works. The sentiment of our possible weakness has been spreading, and we do have a small margin of time we can use. So after the tournament fights in Greed there's a plan to have a sort of exhibition. If any of you can beat one of us, then they'll be treated as the tournament's winner without having to challenge Nil and we gods will come up with a new plan--which any new gods will be privy too of course." "You seem confident you won't lose, but if you won't lose then why would the Tenth?" "Because the contest is not static, the competitors are improving constantly. One of them will surpass Nil by the end of it, they have to."
  23. Seeker Well that was certainly a loaded question. But it wasn't unanswerable either. "There's simply to much risk involved." She explained, "If the Tenth were to defeat a god, she would gain a real Plane to govern rather than a fake one. It's actually not beyond the realm of possibility that even defeating me would grant Nil legitimacy over one of the current seven Planes, despite the fact that I no longer possess godhood." The holographic girl beside the boy decided then that she would voice her opinion, "Whoever you send will die." She said coldly. "I don't believe that, there are several among the contestants who stand a very good chance of winning." "Not one of them stands any chance, the Tenth God is still a god." "And the Eighth God earned his place by defeating a god. While I am sure that none of them have achieved that level of strength yet, I believe that by the end of this tournament one will earn the right to be the Eleventh." The girl seemed to be getting angry now, "You really don't know anything. I've seen this play out already, it's a lost cause. Not one of them stands a chance." She insisted. "Well I'm not exactly the person you should be trying to convince of the inevitability of any outcome." Seeker retorted, "You ought to have more faith in them." "Faith is for cowards, as you're clearly demonstrating."
  24. (OOC: No concert stuff ATM, not sure how well boobs will go over with either NPC in there. Also if you guys don't do anything in the food car soon I shall be forced to take drastic-like measurements) Seeker Not long after Blink left, Seeker's teleporter notified her that she had another visitor. The teleport came from the mechanic's car, so she couldn't be certain who it was, but she saw no reason to not answer. One of the tournament contestants appeared in front of her, she recognized him but she couldn't remember his name. He was accompanied by a black and white hologram of a girl which was projected from a bracelet on his wrist. It was an odd machine, but considering he had come from the Diviner's lair, she wasn't exactly surprised by the apparatus. "Hello." She said, "How can I help you?" Diviner "I see, I see." the Diviner mulled, "Since you're installing a new system and not just rearranging power distribution I assume you have a full mech schematic with the changes? If not I can certainly help you draw one up from the blueprint. But you seem quite prepared so I doubt you need much assistance" He had already turned his back to Revenant and was working on rearranging the system of controls and data to prepare for the changes. While he was doing this, Sully was able to catch a few glimpses of what he had been working on beforehand. Nothing substantial, but he was able to see a little bit of two mech schematics. "Pisces" and "Aquarius" They didn't mean much, except he felt like he had heard those names somewhere before.
