I pick up on the hints too, but they can be really awful at being helpful for someone who doesn't put in as much time into the game as you or I (or anyone else who doesn't care enough about the game to frequent the forums). There are times when the answer could just be given without the bullshit, but people choose to give shitty 'hints' because "it's more fun that way". It's just a heavy "nah nah nah boo boo, I know the answers and you don't" vibe that I pick up from the comments that really doesn't sit well with me, that's why I try to tell the OP the answers straight up should I see those posts.

Charlotte was easy for me because I simply happened to have Flygon and Gyarados (with rain dance) before the gym. Without those two, this gym would have been a lot harder. I don't know, people here do kind of like to be dicks with the answers, like giving "hints" that really don't help, then admonishing you when you tell them that the hints aren't helpful. Some kind soul will eventually come through with some actual answers, but all the smart asses that frequent FAQ threads are rarely helpful.

El. Maybe it's because of my surroundings (Bible Belt ftl), but religious hypocrisy really rubs me the wrong way. That, combined with the fact that his 'religion' is a blatant cult (har har, big difference), and that shot El to the top of my shit list. Gossip Gardevoir is a close second. Good God is she a catty piece of work. She's so unnecessarily disrespectful to anyone that isn't in Radomus or Luna's good graces; the standard bitchy popular girl that steps on people who don't kiss her ass. Most of the interviews are funny, but they don't paint GG in a positive light at all. So what if she has a soft spot for Luna (and Radomus), bad people can have redeeming qualities, they're still bad people Fern was created as a hate sink, so he doesn't count.

If he did read up on the Field Effects, he would have known that he was gifted a freebee for the Samson battle in his Darmanitan (Nice Belly Drum); granted, I still think Samson is one of the easiest gym leaders in the game, but still. And we still got to see all of that enjoyable rage that only Shofu can bring us. I was lucky enough to have already had Rain Dance on my Gyarados when I battled her, but she still took a few tries though. She's on the level just below Shade/Luna when it comes to my difficulty with gym leaders

You already know that field effects gonna be a monster

Granted, there's a lot of time inbetween updates, more than enough to train up a couple of newly released Pokemon. Making the game easier is one thing, but I think that EV training/IV breeding is a byproduct of waiting for the next update rather than wanting to make the game easier.

I had a Magnezone that had Sturdy as its ability, then I Heart Scale'd it Mirror Coat. By far the most anti-climactic battle I've ever had in Reborn, the xp was much appreciated though =)

You're far along enough in the story to have access to the Yureyu key though, and you'll be able to evolve your Magneton when you do.

I remember my fight with Garchomp because of how ridiculously long it was; conversely, I remember my fight with Ditto-Arceus because of how ridiculously short it was.

I used a combination of Krookodile and Granbull Intimidates to get Garchomp to -6, then I played keep-away for the next 50+ turns until he ran out of PP and struggled himself to death.

New realization I just had: What happened at the beginning of the game? Train station got blown up. Observe said picture: What's that Terra's holding in her right hand? Seems like something appropriate for blowing up things, train stations in particular. Granted, we're still in the dark as to Terra's motivations for being a part of Meteor, but maybe she was the one responsible for the train station's destruction/cutting off our access to Tourmaline Desert

I'm assuming you're talking about the Titania event (one of the people was a woman with red hair, and the other was a Meteor Grunt). She's another gym leader you'll properly meet 2 episodes later. At the moment, we don't know what she was talking to the grunt about, but her reaction to your presence makes her actions appropriately suspicious about her intentions in the story

You mean when she was all like "Diamond Dynamo!"? And she... almost smashes Cain... with her big-ass hammer... bruh That scene wasn't just for comedic effect/sex joke fodder, was it? But wait, couldn't she have waited for us to fall asleep before smashing us though? Wouldn't that make more sen- lol terra doing something that makes sense And was she even trying to smash both of us, or just Cain? And why would she go for Cain first and not the PC? Because he was closer? Aww hell, now I have a lot more questions and 0 actual answers

Terrs being a Meteor member makes sense (I was bored, anarchy, etc), but one thing that still doesn't add up: why did she even bother to get us out of Agate City? We were falling asleep, and would have been out of Meteor's way for future plans; and if she's really a part of Meteor, she would definitely know of us, but she still got us out of the city and into the circus. Unless Meteor (or Terra herself) has some plan that involves us in particular, it doesn't really make sense for her to rescue us
