  1. You guys are so damn productive...in less than 20 hours, you gave me nearly 3 pages of arguments to wade through, and when I finally have made a post, probs half a page more... I'm glad that a decent amount of people want to be involved in this topic. I'll read them tomorrow morning, and reply. I'm too tired atm to have decent coherent thought. 'kay?
  2. TFW every little bit of physical effort makes you gasp uncontrollably.
  3. T...I...L...I'm...really...out...of shape...*falls on the floor*
  4. @Hilda Please, do get your glass of water. I need it too (And perhaps my night's sleep, too...) I do look forward to what arguments you'll give me. Please don't shut up. I like the discourse you're giving, only by having said discourse I have something to affirm/revise my view. Your replies are truly appreciated. I'm not sure what the Euthyphro dilemma has to do with my previous posts, but since you brought it up, I guess I'll dig into it. Ah, I see what you mean. Although my argument of God not being that good was only there under the circumstance that all what the Bible says about God is completely true. I wasn't arguing in that segment that God exists, rather I argued that if God would exist, it wouldn't quite resemble what's in the Bible due to its contradictory content, or if it did, it wouldn't be an omnibenevolent one, not even very good either. Your argument against the Euthyphro dilemma is similar to something I saw in history class in high school, years ago. Ever heard of Anselm's ontological arguments? He tried to prove the existence of god through logic, in a similar way you argue that that dilemma is incorrect. The thing is, his arguments weren't sound because there was always at least one premise/consequence that was flawed. Yours has those, too. Omniscience and Omnipotence are both impossible traits, and it's easy to prove. And morally perfect is impossible, too, just look at the Train Dilemma. In that particular case, you can't claim you're omnibenevolent, because you will carry (a little) responsibility for the death(s) of your choice. If those are the required traits of a maximally great being, then such a being can't exist. Hence that argument is invalid. You could've just stated your conclusion of that dilemma to give a solution that fell out of it. That would've shown the false dichotomy of the dilemma. But this doesn't take away from my argument: God 'willed' mass murder because he is good, which makes mass murder good, which it isn't, because God says murder is bad. That's the contradiction I was pointing out. Oh, and your argument about God needing to be completely good through being maximally greater is flawed. You can show it by abstracting the problem in a mathematical manner. I'll put it in the spoiler below. I'ts 4 o'clock here in the morning, so I'll have to cease for a while. I'll be back...uh...today.
  5. Can't you get Trubbish with Toxic Spikes? If so, it also learns Sludge Bomb at level 29, and Acid Spray can be really helpful for making it killable on the special side. I also heard Hariyama is great, but I don't know if you can still get it. (I only beat it with SB Combusken after 3 Bulk Ups)

    Banned

Banned because some people want to achieve something by taking said tests.
  7. Granted, but nnow you want to unsee it, due to the trauma you suffered by reading the complete sentence. I wish for the sewage-smell to go away.
  8. With your current team, I agree on trying to burn it. Since it's a Steelix, I would suggest hitting it on the special side, but your team almost fully consists of physical attackers... The field doesn't help so much either, since the two normal abilities of Steelix both get some protection of it. Personally, I think your team is too physically-sided. Raise a special attacker or a crippler if you can.
  9. If pokemon has learned me anything, it's that you have to commit ritual speciocide in order to be the very best.
  10. TFW your house smells like sewage due to construction.
  11. If you say so. I'll post them here, in case someone else would be interested, too. I was a bit afraid that, for a topic that merely posts what you believe in, I might be seen as an offender on a very personal level. I do not wish to do so, so to anyone who reads this: I'm sorry if I offended you. EDIT: To be frank, I follow Etesian's stance on religion. I think religion shouldn't be such a major factor in our lives. I am happy to interact with anyone, as long as they're not being a dick on purpose. That I'm so passionate about it is because it deeply affected me, and it is still is deeply affecting the world today. (Edit2: Yes, I'm aware I accidentally double-posted. I already reported it. Sorry!)
  12. 1. Yes 2. Yes, although it isn't mandatory if you kept the stone. Still do it for what you get, though. It's worth it. 3. Idk, I just fought the whale. >10k experience is hard to say no to. I guess not if you have a choice. 4. Keeping it was the better choice, as freeing Angie with half the stone is harder than with a full one, I think. Although, if you didn't, you get a pretty funny cutscene at some point. 5. Never. He isn't important enough to get a character arch (at this point), so that's why I guess so.
  13. My dream is to create to aid or touch many, although I'm not sure how to do that.
  14. I think this discussion might be better suited in a thread on its own, since this one is merely for posting what people believe in. Would you agree? I'll post my reply in that topic if one for it is made.
  15. TFW mourning loss is interpreted as scolding...
  16. Zoroark sounds like it would be pretty fun, although I'm not sure how its Illusion should work... I thought Nidoking and Gengar would be quite interesting. Gengar as some kind of Kirby, but based on long(er) range attacks, frailer, and more powerful, while Nidoking could be a more of a mix (EQ, Megahorn or Poison Jab physically, but special attacks on the other hand. Perhaps a Sludge Wave Final Smash?) Gengar could be a total troll by making its Final Smash Perish Song, killing everyone including Gengar itself...
  17. I lack belief in any god(s). As a child, I used to be a very faithful Christian, but that changed when growing up (ironically, right after my Confirmation), and it wasn't so much a slow transition. Nowadays, by pondering more and more about it, the gods I've learned about (or the dogma's, depending on how you look at it) became more and more absurd to me. As of what created the universe, I refrain of giving that an easy, unverifiable answer like gods, but rather trust science to one day find the answer. I believe this is the only life we get, and accept the insignificance of our existence in 'the grand scheme of things', as there is no sign of anything else being the case. It's why I try to be as good of a person as I can be, even though I know I falter frequently. I respect other people's faith, although under some conditions, on which I'm not going to elaborate. (What's in the spoiler is about Hilda's post, and is moreso directed to her. It might be a bit off-topic, so feel free to ignore it.)
  18. Only ps2 and ps3-games I already played/finished. Same for nintendo-games. Really wanted to try Mother 3 again. That feel...
  19. TFW your non-avatar brethren fall to peer pressure.
  20. Pachirisu assures you setups and can cripple the opponent pretty bad...trubbish is pretty swell in the beginning...Point is, mons that could drastically help you are often not the ones you would use normally. Or just use Speed Boost Blaziken to murder the crap out of everyone.
  21. Well, you have three special attackers, so let's buff you a bit on the physical side, no? Metagross is pretty great, but you can't breed it good IVs because it's genderless (unless your Ditto is amazing). This thing can go multiple ways. Flygon, if raised properly from Trapinch, gets EQ, Rock Slide, Dragon Claw and Crunch (I'm not sure if Outrage can be bred on it). It's not as strong as Archeops, but it can take some more hits and has a decent ability. Weavile can't be gotten yet, but you can breed Sneasel with Icicle Crash (Cubchoo-line). No Knock Off, though. Like Sneasel, you can get Gligar, but can't evolve it yet. Excadrill could make a powerful mon, but you don't have the sand to boost its speed...I'm not sure if you can still get it non-limited, though. Heracross isn't too shabby, either, although I'm not sure if it still holds up at this point. Avalugg is perhaps good if you want to tank stuff physically, so is Steelix. Donphan with Endeavour/Ice Shard/EQ can be funny against bosses and has some decent use normally, I think. Mamoswine is said to be pretty nice. EQ/Icicle Crash/Ice Shard/(something rocky?) is quite strong. Medicham with Pure Power might put in work, but Azumarril certainly does. Azu's a monster. Of course, Lucario is available, and it's pretty nice. Mienshao can also be gotten, can get physical or special. DD Tyrantrum can be awoken from a fossil, but I never used it myself, like quite some of the other things above. If you want, you can go for Gallade, although its subpar speed might be a hindrance. Head Smash Rock Head Aggron could do massive damage with a Choice Scarf, but for the rest it might have become less of use. Some fun special attackers, though: Sheer Force Nidoking learns Earth Power, and you get Sludge Wave. Tbolt and Ice Beam can only be bred by going back episodes, sadly... Combined with your Charizard, Chlorophyll Exeggutor could be an interesting idea. That is what comes to my mind atm. There's a lot of choice, so since you have only three members, your team can go in a lot of ways.
  22. TIL I'll have to pass my three weeks free time without computer games...
  23. Thanks for all! Now I have to hope my PC gets juice (this is my college laptop).
  24. Jup. With its damn sidekicks... And I didn't mean giving up, I meant restarting for story purposes. On the other hand, it took me quite some time to get where I was.
  25. This annoying tune Chimes at ev'ry syllable Jacksfilms, why wHY WHY?!?
