Woah, some new lore. This is the most religious Pokemon has ever got: It was a primal age, early in the world's history... The natural world was overflowing with energy. That energy granted Groudon and Kyogre an overwhelming power. Seeking ever more of that energy for themselves, the two clashed again and again, and their battles cast the people and Pokémon of Hoenn into great danger. Brimming with the overwhelming power granted by the energy of nature, this transformation was named by later people "Primal Reversion." And the people called their tormentors Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. One Pokémon looked down upon this battle from the sky above. The Pokémon that dances in the heavens: Rayquaza. Rayquaza is venerated by the people of Hoenn as their protector and savior. When Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre had battled for 20 dawns and 20 nights, the world began to lose its natural balance and tilt toward destruction. The people, unable to endure any more, cried out to their mighty savior Rayquaza before a great stone that shone with rainbow brilliance. And a change came upon Rayquaza, weaving in the sky above Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. Suffused in brilliant light, its body began to transform visibly. And then... Further cementing Rayquaza as the new god of Pokemon (and mega evolution)
-
Not quite what you're thinking. The effect leaves when Rayquaza leaves battle.
-
I almost forgot about electric-flying, they have no weakness in this weather either. We definitely have a new "Strongest Pokemon in the world".
-
Delta Stream is basically an OP air lock, removing all effects of weather including Primal Groudon and Kyogre's unremovable ones. But here's the OP part: it removes all weaknesses of flying types. Rayquaza himself is still weak to Dragon and ice, but ice is no longer a 4x weakness. And he's no longer weak to rock. And think about it, in this weather, Tornadus and any normal-flying types have NO weakness, and dark/flying has no weakness but fairy. And it has a new move called Dragon Ascent. Despite having "dragon" in it's name, it's a flying move, and apparently the strongest flying type move in existence. This thing's gonna be banned FROM Ubers! I do believe we have a new "strongest Pokemon in the world"...
-
So apparently Rayquaza went the Mega route instead of primal. And his ability is Delta stream huh? At first I thought delta emerald wouldn't really happen but now I'm not so sure... And if it does, mega Milotic WILL be a thing.

Finally! Something that's not a hallway! Edward let himself slow down, and only then did he realise how hard he was panting. Yeah, he had kinda been going pretty fast for awhile now. But come to think of it, he had recently doing more stuff than usual, and was only now feeling the fatigue. It seems that the more he works at it, the more his stamina grows. "Practice makes better, I guess" he said to himself. The original phrase he had heard was "Practice makes perfect", but he didn't say that because no one's perfect, no matter how much they practice. But anyway, new room. Kinda circular looking, two doors on either end, one of them looks like it was exploded open. Hey, where are the other two guys? Did he go too fast for them? Maybe he should go ba-hey look new people! At initial glance, he saw an old guy, a girl a bit younger than him with a teddy bear, a buch of people in between that he no longer is interested in because he's too busy looking at the little girl's eyes, and the giant rat from earlier. The big rat's talking. That's not natural, it might be Hellspawn. Aaaand it has a gun. Aaaaaand it's jumping at one of the people. Definatley Hellspawn. Great, looks like he's got one more fight before he can take a rest... Under normal circumstances, he would have nuked the rat with meteor strike (although it wouldn't be as strong as the other times he used it because he's not as high up). But there were people here, and he wanted to protect them. Especially the pretty eyes girl. Maybe even impress herGOSH DARNIT HE WAS THINKING TOO LONG! -

Well, things went better than Edward expected. He didn't even have to strike the final blow, the wire did all the knocking over. Obviously, this would only inapacitate the guy for a while, nobody's going to get a chance to attack, sine the turtle's gonna do what turtles do when threatened- retract into their shells. No, wait, this one curls up like an armadillo. Either way, attacking isn't a good idea right now. Plus, if this thing's really more armadillo-like than turtle-like, that means it has a chance of carrying a deadly disease. Oh wait, turtles can too. Or at least that's what his parents told him, he never heard that one in Scouts or school. As a matter of fact, if it was true, why did he not learn it in Scouts? Where he lives, he tends to see many more turtles than armadillos. Dang, getting off track at REALLY inopportune time. He flew over to the other two and pretty much recounted the above paragraph to them, minus the whole thing about the diseases and Scouts and school and parents. "So maybe we should just get out of here before it gets up. Also before that creeper catches up to us!" And he was gone before Ethic could ask about the "creeper". -

Update 13: Corey and the Secret Story, part 2 First of all, you really are going to suffer if you don’t get rid of that Corrosive Mist. For that reason, I led with Vivillon. She was very underleveled, but she survived long enough to serve her purpose: using Gust to clear the field. As a matter of fact, she stayed alive long enough to Paralyze AND Confuse the first Pokemon (Skrelp). DiggersbyTho came in next and smashed that B00TY with Buldoze, and proceeded to do the same to most of the guy’s team. I switched out to Sassy when Croagunk came out, since 4x weakness to Psychic was too good to resist, but it turned out to be a bad idea because Sucker Punch. When the Crobat finally came out, I actually used DiggersbyTho as a sacrifice to heal the Sucker Punch damage. From full health, she managed to survive a hit and KO the thing with Psyshock. And she leveled up, AND she learned Shadow Ball. When you beat Corey, he’s like “Everything… Everything’s gone”. Then he says, you know, the usual Corey bullcrap about how life has no point. He actually wants you to kill him, but knows you won’t. You’ll just hand him over to the Police. He has a better idea: You know by now what that is. What, you thought the secret story would result in Corey living? Hah, you don’t get Reborn. In this game, the alternate storylines are just different ways to get to the same ending. Corey sneaks out of the gym without the Police noticing, the Warden says to go follow him and they’ll be right behind you. On the bridge, Corey tells you about why he joined Team Meteor. The ruby ring was bought by him from some collector with the intention of making it an engagement ring. He tells you that his wife died in childbirth of Heather, at the hands of a malfunctioning machine. He says the doctor who was in charge of her refused to give up the ring. The doctor was part of Team Meteor, and they killed her purposely to get the ring. To this day, he doesn't know why they want it. He bartered with them, and they agreed to let him keep it if he joined them. The last thing he tells you is that Heather has the ring, and to protect her for him, before doing exactly what he does in the normal storyline. The police go back to the station after this scene, leaving the gym truly empty, not even the advice guy is there. Don’t forget to go pick up the silver ring, though. If you go back to the station, none of the Police’s dialogue is different than usual. The secret story is officially over.
-
Update 12: Corey and the Secret Story, part 1 When entering Corey’s gym in the secret story, the first difference from the normal story you’ll notice is that the advice guy is gone, replaced with the Police Warden. He tells you that when the Police rushed in, they were gassed and now the officers are stumbling around confused. By “confused”, he means “mind controlled”. The Officers walk around randomly, and when they see you say stuff like “we must obey” and attack you, and they’re pretty darn tough. Defeating them seems to free them from their mind control. Weird thing is, there’s only 3 of them around the gym, but 4 in the previous cutscene. The gym’s usual puzzle is the same, turn all the pillars blue. It’s just a bit more difficult with the unusually tough Police Officers stumbling around. Notice how in Corey’s secret bedroom, there’s a card key reader on the wall. That totally won’t be significant later… Corey himself goes over all the stuff you did to screw with him (which in the normal story he pretends to have no idea about), and reveals that HE was the one who created the PULSE systems (or at least the PULSE Tangrowths). He then asks an interesting question: “Are you after my badge, or my blood?” He then tells you to meet him in the arena, where he’ll show you misery. When you go to the arena to fight, Corey says he’s hit rock bottom and has nothing else to lose. The only reason he’s kept going was his daughter, who’s now going to never speak to him again. And it’s all because of you. Apparently I had “ruined the small splinter- the fraction of the life I had rebuilt!” (actual quote from him). Now, the only thing he wants left in life is to end yours. He turns on the Corrosive Mist Field, and says “Suffer”. And the battle begins. Continued in Part 2 with the actual battle
-
Something tells me that's a programming error, as several NPCs say that any pokemon who gets in that water will be seriously hurt. P.S. look at the direction Corey's Skrelp goes when he releases it. It's totally down there in the water treatment as well!
-
So I know the drill, rescue all the Police Officers and the Warden offers you the deceased officer's Growlithe, and tells you you're "an honorary member of the Reborn Police Department". At that point, a few NPCs (and I think cutscenes?) have different dialogue. But that's all assuming you pick up the Growlithe. I have this feeling that the Growlithe is the trigger for this alternate dialogue, not the Police Warden telling you you're a member. If I do everything up to that point, even having the guy tell me I'm a member, but then just leave the Growlithe sitting there, will the different dialogue still happen?

"Oh no you don't big guy, my new buddies are busy with something MUCH more important than you right now. Or at least Ethic is, and Kenny and I are kinda just tagging along... But anyway, point is you aren't going that way!" Edward soared around the behemoth looking for possible strategies. This guy closely resembles a turtle, so that means he has weak points where his limbs and neck meet his shell-and of course around the eyes. Now if only he had something bigger than a pocket knife. He could shoot lazers down those joint areas, but he didn't want to spend that much energy. He really needed to flip this thing on its back, but apparently he underestimated the thing's balance a second ago. He didn't even know how much energy it would take to push the thing backwards, and now wasn't the time to find out. It wasn't that Edward was out of ideas, to the contrary he learned several tricks in Scouting. Problem is, he didn't exactly have the resources to trap even a regular turtle, much less this thing. But wait. HE DOES. Oh and there's this new guy calling out to him. Normally, he'd be grateful for any help, but his years of training gave his subconsciousness zero trouble in shooting off all the "stranger danger" alarms. I mean seriously, this guy's trying too hard to sound innocent, and the fact that he's even trying at all is a red flag. "Sorry, don't have the time" Edward shouted back and disappeared. Technically, it was true. Catching up back to the other two, he quickly addressed Ethic first. "Hey, normally I'd warn you about what was coming, but I'm sure you've noticed the GIANT GODZILLA WANNABE TURTLE COMING AT YOU. So can I borrow Kenny for a second? Kthnxbai" and without waiting for a response grabbed Kenny's platform and steered him off course. "Okay, came up with a trick to flip the thing on its back" he started explaining to the Lucario guy, also not waiting for a response. "You need to use your Green Lantern powers to make a wire run across this hallway. Don't worry about making it unseeable, this thing's too dumb to notice. He'll lumber straight into it, it'll put him off balance (a bipedal turtle should already be pretty back-heavy), and I'll swoop in and knock him over. Oh and one more thing: Stay off the ground, we got some major stranger danger going on down there. Any questions?" -
Um, have you SEEN that thing's attack stat? It's plenty well off with the mega it has. Anyway, I always have wanted only one Mega Evolution, but honestly I'd be surprised if she DIDN'T get one in OR/AS, since her counterpart did (so far, she and Slowking are the only counterpart Pokemon whose rivals have known megas and they don't), her generation is the one being remade, she appeared in Super Smash Bros., and she's appeared in the trailers showcasing other new megas (75% of the Pokemon used as targets in those kind of trailers already had their own megas announced at some point earlier or later).

I can almost guarantee you that the TM for Return will be available muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch later than the HM for Rock Climb. Also, so that I can have at least someone to use Rock Climb with on my 6th Gen Monorun.
-
Huh. Then why does Dive work on Clauncher I wonder. I guess Ame gave priority to it because it was a story-required HM. Hopefully she shows the same respect to Rock Climb, I really want that on Diggersby.

Update 12: Miscellaneous Stuff Happens Well, if I had known BunnelbyTho was already past the point of evolving, of course I would have leveled him up earlier! Having a Huge Power Diggersby would have been awesome in that battle! All’s well that ends well though, I guess, and DiggersbyTho is now level 30 like the rest of my team. Today was finally a Sunny Day, so I went to the top of the hobo-run apartment and got myself a Helioptile. It was male, so I named him “Apollo”, after the Greek god of Light. Dry Skin for the ability, Naïve nature. I do intend to use this thing on my team, but I’m not sure if I should grind him up to the rest of the team just yet. I guess I’ll try my hand at Corey and see how things go first. If I do grind him, it definitely won’t be today, because it’s Sunny, and Dry Skin… you know. By the way, if he has Dry Skin, WHY WAS HE SOAKING UP THE SUN ON A SUNNY DAY? IT HURTS HIM! I also caught another Bunnelby, and named him SlaveTho, because he’s gonna be my new HM slave. He can learn Cut AND Rock Smash, while Slavebat can only learn cut. Slavebat went to the PC, most lilkey never to return. I went to the Beryl Library to get the Soul Candle from the talking Gothitelle, but she wasn’t there. I guess you have to beat Corey first? I did get the ill-fated doll, but it’s not like that’s important or anything. All that’s gonna come of it is a wild encounter MUCH later on with a Pokemon I won’t even catch. Also went all the way to Obsidia and back to restock on Super Potions and stuff. I now have 12 Common Candies, 2 for each team member if you count Apollo. Then I paid a visit to the Move Tutor. I had 2 heart scales from running around pressing "A" on random rocks, and I put them to good use: Teaching Gust to Vivillon (who I evolved alongside BunnelbyTho while waiting for a sunny day) and Buldoze to DiggersbyTho. Nothing going on recently story-wise, but I'm finally ready to take on Corey and conclude the secret storyline.

Well, if I remember correctly, the only reason Sylveon can't learn Hyper Voice via move tutor is because the tutor itself is only in Black/White 2. So there's a good chance that when a Hyper Voice tutor is in Reborn, Ame will make it that several 6th Gen Pokemon, Sylveon included, will be able to learn it. She's already done the same with Dive (go catch a Clauncher and try teaching it dive. It works!) and will probably do it with Rock Climb (Diggersby BETTER be able to learn it, 'kay?) So yeah, I wouldn't sweat it and would go evolve.
-
I've been looking for an excuse to share this theory without making my own topic! Well, there's a similar thing going on in Azurine Island: There's a rock climb wall that you simply can't get to without the ability to cross the poisoned water. This leads me to believe that there may actually be a point in the future where we can cross the poisoned lake. Or maybe we finally clean the lake, and can now surf across it. On the Map, there's a spot titled "Water treatment center" that we have yet to access. The fact that the lake is still poisoned even after beating the PULSE Muk means that it's not doing its job very well. Maybe we go in there later on and fix it up, finally restoring the lake to its former beauty and allowing the use of surf (and possibly dive). The question is where/how in the city we could possibly access it. My guess? The Celestine waterfall! It leads directly into the Azurine lake, but we can't see exactly where the water meets the pollution. Wherever that spot is, it's blocked off by a staircase (the one that connects Obsidia to Lapis). And it's confirmed that in some later episode, we'll be going down there to rescue Titania. As for what's in that building, probably some item. Likely a cool one.

Good for me, he can't sneak attack someone fifty feet in the air! Edward's in the air 90% of the time ever since learning to fly, because 1: It actually takes less energy than to walk and 2: IT'S FLYING!- 1735 replies

"Ugh, no Janet, I don't want to see that movie" Edward mumbled as Kenny picked him up. He was having bad flashbacks to when his little sister made him wake up to go to the midnight release of one of the Twilight movies with her. Then he remembered what was going on, snapped his eyes open, exclaimed "What about Gamera!?", and "teleported" from where he was to in front of the turtle titan's sternum. The giant roared something along the lines of "ME EAT PEOPLE" and swung at him, but he was obviously much too fast. He shot forward and slammed his shoulder into the giant's chest. Not with enough force to pierce the armor, of course, that would take WAY too much energy, but enough to do what he had been wanting to for a while now: flip the thing over on it's back. "Okay, NOW let's go!" (("Gamera" is the name of a giant turtle-like kaiju who was invented to compete with Godzilla's popularity, he's pretty much the Sonic to Godzilla's Mario.) -

Lucario man was prepared to slice them both open, but he never got the chance. Because before the tangled ball of bad guys reached Kenny, they experienced something they never expected to- especially down here in Hell: Getting struck by a meteor. "I warned you that you wouldn't stand a chance" Edward said, back still turned, as the Caesar wannabe lay bleeding out, his bones practically rearranged and sticking out all over the place in a grotesque mockery of the shape they were in just a moment ago. Edward's "disappearing act" a minute ago was a combination of a trick he learned in Boy Scouts and a trick he saw on Dragon Ball Z. He had taken off at such speed that it looked to most people like he had simply vanished. Longicus, however, might have been able to notice if the trick wasn't as psychological as it was visual. You see, if you were to fight an opponent one-on-one, and suddenly dissapear, your enemy would be like "Wha? Where'd he go?" and would look around for you. But if you were fighting alongside one or more allies, and then vanished, then 9 times out of 10, the foe would be like "Um... okay then, time to deal with this other guy." The spot Edward was hiding in wasn't that hard to find- just a corner of the room up near the ceiling. If Longicus had bothered to look a bit more closley, he probably would have been spotted. But as it was, Edward had time to regroup his stamina AND wait for just the right moment to sneak attack. And he had found that moment. Monty was starting to regenerate a few feet away from Edward's left. He lifted his hand. "Nope, I'm onto you too." A gigantic, bright blue light engulfed that half of the room as the crystally things vaporised. Monty could not defend himself from an energy attack while he was still forming back into existance. "Hey, Ethic right? Can you handle those other guys? Cause I'm done for today" Edward said just before falling to the floor unconscious.
