  1. Also, don't worry about Edward, he's still in the picture, I'm just waiting for the right time to say anything so as not to ruin the effect.
  2. Good news bad news time! Good news: after healing at Fiore Mansion, you can go pick up some rage powder and purposely white out. You'll end up in front of the mansion and within range of the Crustle, with the powder! Bad news: the powder doesn't work. When it asks you "do you want to use the rage powder?" And you press "yes" the game acts like you pressed "no". Ame thought of everything this time.
  3. Update 11: The Infamous Meteor Admin Double Pulse Battle Turns out I didn’t grind Bunnelby after all. After several failed attempts at the double battle, I decided on leading with Braveheart and Sassy. First turn Sassy sets up a Light Screen (that Glaceon and Espeon have some POWERFUL special attacks), and then we completely whale on the eeveelution team, since the Lileep is not much of a problem compared to the Chatot and Mega Tangrowth. Things went smoothly until the Umbreon was almost dead, when I accidentally pressed a wrong button, and just then the Umbreon got an unlucky critical hit, and Braveheart went down. Since the rest of the trained team is specially oriented, and Umbreon is pretty much immune to special attacks, I had to come out with BunnelbyTho and double kick it to death. After that, the rest of the battle went rather smoothly considering it was 2 on 1. It took longer and resulted in more party members dying than it should have, though, because Taka got all sorts of unlucky hax on me. And now we come to the secret storyline. In case you don’t know about it, I’ll explain. In the normal chain of events, the ??? person who is strongly implied to be Corey runs away, and you later meet Corey at the gym where he acts like he’s never met you. But if you’ve rescued all the Police before doing the Double Boss Battle, this happens: A short walk away from the scene of the double battle, you find the mystery person surrounded by the Policemen you’ve saved, with Heather watching. Mystery Guy is like “But the grunts were supposed to detain you” and the Warden’s all like “They did, but then this guy saved them because he’s awesome”. Then, the Warden unmasks Mystery Dude, revealing that he is, in fact, Corey. Heather is baffled, and then flies off on her Salamence in rage. Corey reveals that there are other Gym leaders working with Team Meteor, but doesn’t say who they are. He makes his usual speech about how much life sucks, and disappears. The Police are like “He’s gone to the gym!” and run off. And in case you’re wondering, this all means you’re gonna have to wait if you want the Growlithe/Azurill trade. That can only be done at the station, and none of the officers are there right now. The secret story continues at the gym, but I’m not going there yet. One, I need to restock on Super Potions, because I used a lot in that battle (also Common Candies since I have a new team member). Two, I wanna train up BunnelbyTho. And three, I need a Sunny Day…
  4. What about my guide to those weird X doors? I obviously bring it back briefly every new episode to add any new doors and edit the descriptions of old ones. Not to mention, when they all finally open, it'll probably get pinned or something, because at that point there will inevitably be a lot of threads asking stuff like "Am I missing any of these?"
  5. Edward thought he understood now. This was like that part of an RPG where you had to fight a boss who could only be damaged by a certain party member, even though everyone else had good enough stats to take it down otherwise (The Iron Clefts in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door came to mind. Oh, and Spear Guy said he could crush Edward anytime, but he didn't believe that for a second). And whoever this "Ethic" guy is, he and Lucario man needed him to defeat this boss. Apparently Kenny didn't get this, as he still insisted on doing his... whatever that is he's doing. "Should I try to warn him? He doesn't exactly look like he's gonna be listening to reason anytime soon. Or maybe I shou-" And then suddenly, Edward was gone, disappeared into thin air. ((Um, Quincy? You and the big ninja turtle reject are being attacked by a magic White Sphinx, don't just stand there XD)
  6. You missed the memo: if you play the demo at least once every day, you get a secret event in the full game that doesn't happen otherwise. (My guess is it's something to do with getting Jirachi or Deoxys)
  7. "Your attacks are slow and easy to dodge. And if they hit me, they likley wouldn't do much" Edward said with his back turned, already out of the black fire's reach. "You think you're all high and mighty but your'e slower than me, you're weaker than me, and the only reason you're still alive is because of your cheating!" There was another reason actually: because Edward was quickly running out of energy. But he didn't want to say that out loud. "There HAS to be a way to kill you without you coming back, and when I find it, you won't stand a chance." Until then, however, he honestly didn't know what to do... He wondered if retreat was an option at this point...
  8. Oh and there's some new information about new information coming soon: On October 2nd (the day before Smash Bros. comes to America, incidentally), there's gonna be some livestream with new gameplay and info on both the game and the demo. Which would be downright insulting if the American release isn't given by then. Three days later, on October 5th, there's gonna be another Pokemon GetTv thing with new gameplay and stuff, including Mega/Primal/Whatever Rayquaza! But considering how GetTV has acted in the past, it's probably gonna all be stuff we heard on the livestream three days earlier. Also, at the end of the demo you'll encounter a new Mega evolution that apparently has not been revealed yet. Although I wonder if it will be revealed between now and then, with the October 2nd livestream, the GetTV thingy, and the inevitable CoroCoro leaks...
  9. Good thing Edward had that idea of jumping to the ceiling a second ago. The black fire didn't even reach him by a long shot (hopefully Kenny was okay). These guys were getting really annoying, thinking they were sooooooo cool with their regenerating powers. But they're nothing more than cheaters, like your little sister when you're winning a board game and she's like "Oh, you're almost at the end and I'm behind you, but I still win because I can skip straight to the end!" There had to be a way to take these guys down, and he was gonna find it. Starting with those Sphinxes. "Hey, I wonder if your little pets can also regenerate?" He yelled aloud. "HOW ABOUT WE FIND OUT?" and like a meteor he shot down from above straight into the Black Sphinx (this was after Kenny had already redirected the Shpinx's first attack). The explosion that resulted was also similar to seeing a meteor strike the earth, and whatever stamina Edward had regained a second ago was definitely lost. But it was totally worth it, he probably looked awesome. "New attack learned! I'll name that one 'Meteor Strike'" he thought to himself. "Now, is that Sphinx gonna come back or what?" He knew the rider would, he was curious about the steed.
  10. Edward heard Monty materialize behind him, and jumped into the air to dodge a blow from behind, but none came. Monty just stood there, gloating about how he's invincible. He saw Lucario guy's blast get deflected like it was nothing. "These. Guys. Are. CHEATERS!" he thought to himself. "How are we supposed to kill them if they just come back every time they take a hit?" He then saw leader throw the 2 spears. He had read played enough video games to notice that they had ritualistic significance. He knew those spears were gonna be part of this guy's "Special attack". But what should he do about them. If he destroyed them, they might just reform together like the bald guy did. He could try moving them, but doing so by hand would probably make matters worse. So what were to happen if... In a flash, he was next to them. Feet firmly planted on the ground this time, he put his hands out as if he were to fire a lazer from them. "KAMEHAMEHAAAA" he said it all at once, not daring to take as long as Goku usually took to say it. But instead of a beam of devastating energy, a powerful gust of what seemed like wind came from the general area around his hands. He had expelled a sizable amount of energy at the spears, not enough to break or cause damage to them, but enough to uproot both and send them flying down the corridor, out of sight. The blast was not nearly as energy-consuming as a real lazer beam, but still did a number on Edward's stamina. If he wanted to avoid taking some kind of magic attack to the face, he needed go get out of the way right now. He pushed himself up into the air, almost all the way up into the ceiling, hoping he could stay here long enough to recover some stamina.
  11. You might want to get Kenny to tell Edward that, otherwise he's just gonna keep messing with your prey.
  12. Wait, so if that whole crystal thing's voluntary, that means we could take him down if we A) take him by suprise, or B)hit him so fast he can't do the whole crystally thing. Anyway, i just realized: whatever happens to my character, Marcus must NOT kill him. If he does, wer'e all doomed.
  13. It was really awkward fro Edward to suddenly jump in on this scene without any conxext going on. There were these weirdly dressed but human looking guys in the back, a pile of burning stuff that apparently used to be Kenny's friend, a and a big, bipedal rat over there in the corner standing behind an even BIGGER bipedal turtle person. He wondered what would happen if he flipped the turtle man on its back. He could do it pretty easily, but instead it seemed like the other weirdly dressed guys were their enemy, as Lucario man just yelled DIE and shot some lazers at them. "If his powers are anything like mine, firing lazers FIRST is a stupid idea." He thought to himself. "Allow me to show him how it's done!" At first he flew at normal running speed toward them. But about halfway through, he- oops, too late to describe it, he's already there. Before anyone, friend or foe could react, he threw a punch at Monty's gut. The fist connected, and went straight trough with suprising ease. He expected to tear this guy in half, but didn't think it would feel like he was made of glass! This is waaaaay to easy... or is there a catch?
  14. Update 10: Jasper and Beryl Wards-Rodochrine Jungle With the plants gone, I saved the first two police officers. Yeah, I plan on going through that quest, I’m just not gonna pick up the Growlithe at the end. Not to mention, that's how you get the secret storyline… Also, I did the sticker quest and went back to the department store to pick up a Metronome from the third floor. My reasoning is that since Strawberry has to attack multiple times to take someone down, it’s best to make his attacks stronger as time goes on. Anyway, I moved on to the Beryl Ward. Today was a windy day, so I went and recued the Drifloon kid (although I could’ve sworn you had to talk to the mom first…). I went down to the spot he gets ambushed by Venipede, but no one was there. I guess I do have to talk to the Mom for that one. I went and rescued the 2 remaining Police Officers, and found the dead one. If you find all of them BEFORE fighting the upcoming boss battle, you unlock the secret story. When going through the Rodochrine Jungle, I found a Bunnelby, which I didn’t excpect because I thought you only found them in the graveyard area. I caught her and sure enough, she had Huge Power! Next up is the infamous Meteor Admin double Pulse battle, so I’m wondering if I should grind her up. At level 24, she’s only 4 levels away from the others…
  15. The stupitidy of the situation is that America is the country that gives Nintendo the most money, even more than Japan. So you'd think they'd prioritize us first. But nope they give it to Africa and Portugal and Middle Earth before us, just like with Pokemon Bank. At least I know it is coming eventually, though. With bank, a lot of people were saying the project was scrapped altogether.
  16. Yeah , we've got details on demos for Japan, Germany, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Equestria, but not America? Did I miss something or why is every country in the world being told how to get the demo but us? It's Pokemon Bank all over again... Edit: EVEN AFRICA! Seriously, did the American release get announced already and I missed it?
  17. Halfway down the corridor, Edward and Kenny encountered at least some amount of food: a lopsided pile of whatever the hell "blancmange" is. It's a dessert that kinda seems like flan, But Edward didn't know that and actually mistook it for flan. He obviously did not pass up the oppritunity to fill his empty food containers. With this, he would have more than enough food to last him the trip, but he also wanted to see if he could get some variety farther down. And if all else failed, he could just resort to an all-flan diet. Up ahead was a dead end, with... Well, plenty of food, if you're into cannibalism. Slabs of meat hung on hooks all over the walls, and they were clearly human bodies despite being butchered and gutted. Most people would have retched at the sight, but not someone like Edward. That's another thing about Asperger's syndrome: It tends to make the person less sensitive to gore. "Well, I should've been careful what I wished for. This seems to be where the giants store their food. THEIR food, as in not ours. The human food, like that pile of Flan back there, is probably used as bait. Which means we're standing in a giant's trap.... Which means there's probably a giant right behind us." He sidestepped to his right almost faster than the eye could see, expecting a tremendous blow from behind.
  18. "Blah, blah boring backstory stuff, vibrations and meditation and I was clearly raised by Chinese monks and something about Keepers (wasn't 'Keepers', like the other name for the bosses down here? I don't remember I just call them the bosses) blah blah blah Let's stock up on supplies" "Right, so it's settled! You use your portal powers to help find some food supplies, and once we're properly prepared, you can warp us back to that fight and I'll crush whoever it was you were up against." He flipped upside down in mid-air because why the Hell not and extended his hand for an upside down handshake. He had always wanted to do an upside down handshake. "My name's Edward Collier, Life Scout. Nice to meet you." In truth, he probably could crush that turtle titan, albeit at the expense of most if not all of his energy. But he had no idea that Monty would require more than sheer force to take down. Up to this point, every thing he had fought tended to die when he tore it to shreds.
  19. Hmm, so there's other people. Probably should have expected it. Well, they didn't worry him at all, they're less likley to want try to kill him, and if they did, he could probably take them out without too much trouble. Even this guy, while he seems nice, likley wouldn't last long in a fight if he was hostile. Also, the word "Aura" told him most of what he needed to know about this guy: 95% chance of friendly. "Aura, is that what they call it these days? I bet you're like Lucario and all and you sensed my Aura, that's how you found me. Then again, maybe 'Aura' and 'whatever it is I got' are different, because I can't exactly open portals or make diving boards (granted, I've never tried), but at the same time I can tell just by looking at you that you don't fly too well." This guy also didn't seem to have the raw speed and power Edward did, but maybe that's something he doesn't want to hear. "Anyway, who were you fighting back there? The boss?"
  20. "Who are you?" ...at first Edward was too dumbfounded to answer. So here he was, just floating along, minding his own business, looking for some food and then all of a sudden BOOM PORTAL and then a guy walks out on a big diving board and he's all like "who are you?" As if HE'S not the suspicious one! Also, Edward saw the battle from earlier through the portal, meaning that he was in fact seen, or at least noticed in some other way than sight. Well, this guy at least looked human, although so did that stripper demon lady. So he had to be careful, but he also had to make an impression. He had to show that while he had the potential to be a great ally, he also had potential to be a deadly enemy, he had to- "You know where they keep the food here?" Dangit. Now mystery guy probably thinks I'm a lost glutenous soul, only obsessed with food. No wait, he couldn't think that, because he took enough notice of me to do the whole portal thing. I still have a chance to- He didn't notice where he was going and had careened off course and into the wall behind him. "OW! Sorry, didn't pay attention to where I was going." He floated back up, just a bit higher than he was before, ready to take off at the first sign of trouble. "Well, I guess that was enough of an ice breaker. I see you came straight from a battle. You the boss of this world? If so, there's some stuff I wanna take care of before fighting you. Like stocking up on food."
  21. Well, it's not exactly "suggestions", but here's an easy list of all the Pokemon included in those categories: Honchkrow Skuntank Spiritomb Drapion Greninja, as you pointed out Pangoro Malamar Luxuray Pachirisu Rotom Heliolisk Dedenne Pokemon that you can use when they are added because they aren't yet in-game: Darkrai Weavile Yveltal Electivire
  22. Okay, sorry Edward's introduction is so long, it's just that, well, it's his introduction. Also doesn't help that his thoughts tend to go off on unrelated or barley related tangents.
  23. In the midst of all the noise and chaos, no one noticed that the door connecting Lust and Gluttony had opened again. In it stood a young boy of about 13 or 14 years of age. He wore green Khaki shorts and a plain red shirt with "Troop 160" written in white on the front and back. He carried a backpack, which he took off and began digging into as soon as he entered. After a few seconds of rummaging, he pulled out a flashlight and flicked it on. "Okay, time to begin World 3!" Edward Collier said in an unusually exited tone, for someone who's just entered a lower circle of Hell itself. The first thing he noticed was the noise. Just ahead, it sounded like there was a fight going on-and whoever was doing the fighting clearly knew what he/she was doing. There were explosions, there were... more explosions, there were these weird sounds he didn't recognize but were probably something dangerous, and there were these sounds that kinda remind him of the sound that he hears when he fires a lazer. "Yeah, gonna try to stay away from that, at least for now..." he thought to himself. He immediately turned the flashlight off, hoping no one saw its light in the few seconds it was on. The second thing he noticed was the smell. He didn't exactly have a favorite food, but he had foods he liked, foods he did not like, foods he really liked, and foods he absolutely hated. The foods he smelled seemed to all fall under the "like" or "really like" category. From this he deduced that this must be the circle of Gluttony. "Well, at least Dante got the order of the circles right" he thought to himself grudgingly. When he read the "Abandon Hope" thingy, he got all excited thinking he was in for the Divine Comedy's version of Hell. In that book, all Dante had to do was walk around a bunch, ride on some boats, get carried around by the Big Friendly Giant, and climb over an (already incapacitated) demon's back. So Edward thought it would be a cakewalk! But nooooooo, HE had to get attacked by shadow people while trying to do some reading, convince a snake guy to let him into Hell despite having no sin on his record (Jesus' blood was to thank for that. Edward's not perfect, just forgiven), fight off a bunch of rapist zombies, and endure an extremely awkward battle with a stripper demon! And that was just the first two worlds! But hey, he got some awesome DBZ-esque superpowers from it, so I guess it's a fair trade. Oh, and there was the whole wish granting business at the end of it. Still hasn't nailed down what he's gonna wish for exactly. He's mostly in this for the adventure, and as a Boy Scout, he's more prepared than anyone else for this! Except that he's not prepared... He did not anticipate how long he'd be down here, and didn't pack enough food. He still had food left, but at this rate, he's gonna run out by the time he reaches Anger. But here in Gluttony, he could maybe get his chance to fix that mistake. Judging from the smell, he could roughly guess what the lost soul's torture involved down here. They were probably being starved for eternity, while delicious food is just out of their reach. Or way out of their reach. Or an intermediate level out of their reach. Bottom line is, there's food but they can't reach it. But him? With his newfound powers, he was sure he could get to some gourmet meals, and restock his supply. There might be a few demons guarding it, but they wouldn't matter to him. Unless there were more than just a few, but how about we deal with that if it happens? Come to think of it, he kinda wished he'd be attacked by some Demons with, say, swords. The closest thing to a weapon on him was his pocket knife, and he'd love to get his hands on a fiery demon blade from Hell! Anyway, one mission at a time (he gets distracted and goes off on random chains of thought easily, if you haven't noticed). "Objective: Find food supply. For now, I'll stick with the old trick for dealing with mazes: Keep to the right wall!" And so he sped off. And "sped" is an apt description, because he was moving suspiciously fast, especially for having that backpack. As a matter of fact, if you were to keep up with him, you'd notice that his legs weren't even moving. He had realized that floating takes so little energy, that it's actually less tiring to "fly" than to walk and bother with the constant leg movement. That is, assuming he's flying at walking speed. It's when he puts power into his movements that things really start to get tiring, although the Hill seemed to have helped with that as well by increasing his supply of stamina. He was going fast now, of course, because he wanted to get past and out of sight of whatever's going on up ahead. The battle came into view, he saw a huge blueish explosion, a bunch of other flashy lights, and- WAS THAT A GIANT? But as soon as he saw it, he was past it. He decided to not look back and, after he was pretty sure he was out of sight, slowed down to normal walking speed. He was starting to feel the fatigue already. As fate would have it, though, the wall to the right of him stopped a few seconds later. He turned down the new hallway, hoping he could find something at the end of it. If all the halls in this place were this long, he'd have more to worry about in his quest to find food than some guardian demons. What he did not know, is that on the map, he was headed straight for the "Pantry".
