The leasst they could do is pump up the E4 to the relative levels they were in RS, since you probably didn't outlevel them, unless you grinded for a bit. maybe just do that to E$/gyms, and see how it flies?

Do remember that the intended audience does include the younger generations, too. I would definitely supportt a difficulty option, though I am not familiar with the feature in BW2.

True, a lot of kids do play pokemon but I know a few 8/9 year olds complaining about how easy it is and some of them never played pokemon before gen 6. As Zumi says, Dppt was a reasonable difficulty level as that was the only game where I had any difficulty during game content (outside of online battling or battle facilities).

The younger generation want a challenge these days, I'm never expecting a Reborn/Rejuv style difficulty because that's unreasonable but at least make it so you don't pass through the game without a challenge.
