Fight club would be good. The tier seems to have stabilised a bit now (though I'm still sad at the Rayquaza ban).

Don't run Kyogre and Groudon on the same team for one. Don't run Zekrom for two, and if you do insist on using it, give it some speed so it doesn't get OHKOd by earthquake before it can do anything. And don't EVER run two moves of the same type on a Pokémon. Bolt Strike and Fusion Bolt on Zekrom has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen.

How about generation themed tours? So you can only use mons from gen 1, etc.

That's...a REALLY bad team. Especially when you do things like take 2 Electric moves on Zekrom.

The leaders tend to stack their teams and battle types specifically to counter your team.

Not only can they do that, they can look at your trainer card, then build their team specifically to counter yours.

Do remember that natures, stats, and items can all be changed, and that the leaders can pick their battle style, then stack their teams against you, so you want a nice variety of moves, as well as a team that's pretty flexible.
