  1. Oh we have plenty of those, including one that is VERY good... But you'll have to wait for a mid-late game location (as in, in the fourth/fifth badge area) for those I am afraid.
  2. http://s017.radikal.ru/i411/1110/86/11c00295adc9.jpg For a Blazblue player like me, this has got to be the single most hilarious pic I've ever seen...

      What now XD

  3. From the title I thought this was going to be another rant about people mixing up the search bar and the status bar... But that aside it, I like it. It's hard for me to judge poetry in English, because I still don't have a full grasp of the pronunciation of some words, so I don't get all the rhymes... But still, the styl is there and the feels are there, I can tell that much
  4. Gosh, how could I forget Goshee of all things? But yeah, that's the full picture: again, most of those will be obtainable by chapter 2, meaning that so far you only have "ingredients" to make what would essentially end up being an early game team... But as I mentioned in another occasion, there IS a trick to every mon in the Graterras dex, so yeah, whether or not these Pokemon have late game and/or "competitive" value is up to you, the players. The one thing that makes me proud about this Se7en project is that we put together a very balanced metagame, with each and every Pokemon having a chance to shine and to do something for the team: of course, it is inevitable that some Pokemon will turn out to be significantly stronger than others, but again, there is a trick to even the weakest ones. I think the true difficulty, as well as the true appeal, of this game is exactly this: upon being put in front of 150+ Pokemon you know absolutely nothing about (in terms of stats, HAs and movepools), will you be able to find the trick to each and every one of them? For example, will you be able to exploit breeding to its fullest without knowing all the chains beforehand? With no wiki and no Smogon to rely on, will you master this game? This is the challenge we, the developers, lay down for you, the players
  5. More like "the main plot is settled", considering some Pokemon will appear quite late in the game...
  6. From the top of my mind, so far we have the starters, Ebounny, Magpy, Lucifly, Colourva, Bloanna, Kutlass, Pslamb, Lassirena, and I m probably forgetting something but hey, it's 2 AM here, cut me some slack. So yeah, they are still not enough to build a balanced team around, but surely it's a good start, we specifically designed our metagame to make sure there would be no useless Pokemon, so yeah... An early game team probably won't last the entire game, but most of the Pokemon do have late game (I am tempted to say "competitive") viability with the right support...
  7. Making myself some pasta with a little something called "pesto alla genovese"... Pros: it's delicious. Cons: having to heat up 3 liters of water to the boiling point with this heat

      is it even worth it?

  8. This can be said about 98% of politicians in any given country...
  9. No Knock Off? Didn't Gligar learn that naturally?
  10. Things wrong with Italy: ... On second thought nevermind. That would take two days and hit the character limit for a post...
  11. You know the more I play this game, the less I understand why the series only became a global hit starting with P3. For what I have seen so far, P2 is a fantastic (pair of) game(s)...
    1. Felicity

      Felicity

because of the use of social links and likely the graphical upgrades helped too. Also P3 probably resonated more with audiences due to the maintained normal setting, as opposed to the Normal turned supernatural setting

  12. Do you know how it took us at Se7en to finish planning all 150+ of our Fakemon? I'll just tell you this: I first contacted Zim, to start exchanging fakemon ideas with him (which would lead to the birth of project Se7en) in late february... And only in late may/early june did we complete our Pokedex! So yeah, unless you have a solid project, lots of ideas and a group of reliable people to help you out, I would advice against making fakemon...
  13. Woah that's you? You have some seriously gorgeous eyes, I definitely approve of your decision to make them visible by moving the hair aside
  14. Most of the solutions you have suggested are honsetly complicated to implement: the Reborn-esque level cap has the fact that it is vert easy to implement going for it... You do make valid points tho. I will discuss the matter with out coders over at Se7en and see what they say
  15. Here is the thing: even if you make it so that no more trainer battles are available after reaching the end of the chapter, there are still wild Pokemon. There are only 3 ways of preventing players from level grinding against wild Pokemon: making it so the game literally becomes impossible to play after reaching the end of the episode, your character being unable to do anything untill the new update is released; making it so the game stop giving you EXP for beating wild Pokemon after reaching the ending point of the chapter, EXO being unlocked upon downloading the new update; and of course, the level cap. You will admit that, compared to those other two methods, the level cap is not that unfair/bothersome, is it? I mean, potential players would hate the other two much more IMO.
  16. Chikorita <3 And I like your style of writing. Can't wait for more
  17. Well, I really appreciate this topic Hilda. Allow me to address your points as far as Se7en is concerned: 10) Everyone in Se7en agrees with you on this one and in fact, while the first chapter will include a rather straightforward area (what with it being the very beginning etc), later chapters will put a lot of emphasis on exploration. Some areas, like the desert, the dungeon inspired to Ayers Rock and at least one jungle area (if not two) will be HUGE, with a lot of different things to do and different Pokemon to catch. 9) Se7en is going to feature a 100% original Pokedex, and IMO tht is enough to make gym battles VERY difficult (and normal battles as well, to a lesser extent). I mean, you are facing a full team of Pokmon you mostly have never seen before, you know nothing about their stats, secondary typing, and moves, so you have no way to prepare in advance, you cannot say "I will just catch this Pokemon, have it learn that move, and then I win", because you don't know what works and what doesn't until you try. So yeah, I think that is enough of a challenge on our part. We will not implement a "hard mode" because we are being faced with enough complications with the coding without going that far ;-; 8) No. Absolutely no. No way. Sorry, but this is not to be. It is WAY beyond our capabilities, there is no chance in hell we can implement this... At least, not before the post game. We have no guarantees that our playerbase will be large enough to justify haveing a network system, and considering that, as mentioned, we don't even have the ability to implement it, overstepping our limits for the sake of doing something that might very well bomb is a no-no as far as I am concerned. 7) Another point on which I disagree, and on which I really cannot look for a compromise with you: we are going to release our game episodically and, considering our IRL problems, there will be at least one month between a chapter and the next one. So yeah, without a level cap people could simply spend that month level grinding, and then plow through the game unopposed. I myself hate the level cap, but it is a necessary evil. 6) This is a point I agree with wholeheartedly, and I know the rest of the Se7en staff do too. And in fact, each area WILL have at least one "ultra rare" Pokemon, that is, a Pokemon with an insanely low chance of appearing... And again, keep in mind that we will feature a full Pokedex of original Pokemon, about which you won't know anything: the majority of them will actually be completely unknown to you, as we are not planning to announce them all... So yeah, the thrill of wandering an area and suddenly bumping in a Pokemon you had never een before by mere chance is something that we WILL have. As a matter of fact, this is one of the main selling points of our game 5) It will probably happen in the post game, but we will have this too. 4) A villain who is not so blatantly, make-hypocritical-claims-then-kick-Munna evil, uh? Well, I cannot spoil anything but... I think you will like Se7en 3) See the above, and keep in mind that we have Hukuna on board (and I myself am pretty good at planning plots if I do say so myself, and our other staffers are clever guys too). 2) We are not featuring Mega Evolution at all, as we feel that the whole Mega Evolution thing was born as a way to introduce more diversity to the game and attract more customers... An added attraction, if you will. And we don't need it, because the fact that we feature 150+ original Pokemon is all the attraction we need. This being said, there are many Pokemon in Se7en that, if taken out of context, would probably be considered "broken" in the current SD metagame, but in the context of Graterras metagame I dare say we managed to achieve a nice balance, each Pokemon has its counters and there are no Pokemon so good you have no reason not to run them... And there aren't Pokemon so bad you have no reason to run them either. 1) Don't worry, I am beating a certain member of our project (who would LOVE to introduce more... Ah, excessively innovative stuff) over the head with this every day
  18. So many people liked my photo at the jousting event... Now I really want to start a topic about it...

  19. Lions don't eat elephants tho. On the other hand, reindeers are much larger than wolves, to make an example.
  20. Well most herbivores are larger than their predators IRL too...
  21. lol well, you wouldn't believe how hard it is to adjust your aim and generally maneuver a jousting lance while riding a horse... Also because those things are damn heavy, and if you keep into account the crowd cheering (which makes the horse nervous), you see this joust is not easy, by any stretch of immagination... So yeah, the riders are actually trained professionals, they spend the entire year preparing for those two days of jousting: the city is split into four faction for the competition, and the leaders of each faction actually pay their riders some big money. It's nothing a skinny, untrained guy like me could get into for sh*t and giggles, I tell you. A buddy of mine is a professional rider and well, you wouldn't believe the amount of training he has to go through: he actually handed me his lance once and I could barely lift it up with both hands, AND HE MANEUVERS IT WITH ONE HAND WHEN JOUSTING, because with the other he has to hold the reins of the horse...
  22. Get back into YGO after a hiatus. Find out they banned Lavalval Chain. Go into another hiatus.

This is why we need rules like can't play X card in Y deck because of this combo. Then you wouldn't have to ban shit.

dats konami's problem. their judges didn't know half the rules anyway..

  23. Why? I think you look good o.o Anyway guys, remember when I said that, in the biggest city near my hometown, they have an event twice per year in which EVERYONE dresses up in medieval clothes, with the main attraction being, I kid you not, a joust? I should really make a topic about that at some point but in the meantime, I was surfing the web looking at photos of past editions, and I found one in which I appear! You see the guy in the background with the blue uniform and what looks like the Batman symbol (it's actually an imperial eagle)? Well, the guy in the green and white attire right next to him (the one who is tilting forward to see better) would be me!
