Come on just look at that shilouette: she has indeed the hairstyle with the long ponytail-esque thing we saw for the ultimate leader of Team Meteor (keep calling her that because I cannot remember the name) as well... My theory makes sense! Would also explain why Coral Gym is in that state... -
Name: Miriam (as usual, I go for the female protagonist naming her after my gf) I got the game today and I already got to the point where you have to take Route 6 to go to the palace to get the PokeFlute. I am currently enjoying a pause from the plot to Super Train my Pokemon and pet them on the Pokemon Amie (Jesus Christ, the level of sheer cuteness in that thing is over 9000)... As usual, I stick to my policy of nicknaming my Pokemon after songs by Jimi Hendrix. Current team: Blue - Level 20 Frogadier (m), Torrent ability, Bubble, Water Pulse, Quick Attack and Lick as moves. Fire - Level 21 Combusken (YES I KNOW Mystery Gift Pokemon cannot be nicknamed, I mentally gave it that nick ok?), Speed Boost ability, Double Kick, Ember, Peck and Focus Energy as moves. Chile - Level 19 Ivysaur (m), Overgrow ability, Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, Vine Whip and Take Down as moves. Gypsy - Level 19 Furfrou (f), Fur Coat (awesome) ability, Headbutt, Return, Sand Attack and Baby Doll Eyes as moves. This game is beyond amazing! I am truly loving it, specially the "realistic" features like Pokemon Amie, Super Training and Pokemon rides! The idea of a group of kids sent out in the world, instead of the usual 1-protagonist-1-rival pattern, is also amazing... Not to mention the boutiques! It took me a while to shape my character so that she resembles my gf in hairstyle and clothing! Planning to include Sylveon as obligatory Fairy-type in the team... As for the last spot: Rock/Dragon fossil guy or Flying/Fighting luchador? The former would round my offesnive coverage while the latter would be a bit redundant, but for a wrestling lover like me, that luchador is beyond amazing...

Beautiful, absolutey beautiful. The new game experience is fantatic, and my Greninja-Blaziken-Venusaur comination grants me perfect neutral coverage with one less Pokemon than originally planned, thus leaving one extra spot to fill with some new cutie fron Kalos! Furfrou is there so far, Sylveon is scheduled to join it, what could I use in the last spot? Maybe the Rock/Dragon fossil? But can you find that in X?

I don't really know what other good water types exist in B/W 2... Just check out on Bulbapedia! Grab a list of Water-type Pokemon included in the game, and pick the one you like the most!

Need a Water-type, if anything just to give it Surf! I'd personally go with Swanna because it is cool to use in-game...

The two I am most interested in for my programmed first run are given away by NPCs in plot-related situations, meaning that I won't have to look for them... That's good to know!

What if... The Fairy leader is actually the ultimate boss of Team Meteor, who blew up her gym in Coral Ward to make everybody think she had died before joining the baddies? As for the competitive side: all the Mega Pokemon revealed so far, except Lucario and Mawile, cannot compensate for the loss of the held item (for example, Mega Charizard Y is as weak to SR as its standard form, and its increased SpAtk cannot make up for the loss of Choice Specs + Solar Power, effectively making it a weaker version of SpecsZard in sun), therefore I sicerely think that indiscriminately banning all the Megas would be silly to say the least... And this goes double for the Reborn metagame, which allows absurdly broken stuff in Gen 5! Excadrill alone is more dominant in Gen 5 than any Mega Pokemon can hope to become in Gen 6... And before someone brings up Mewtwo: Mewtwo's regular form is already Uber itself, so of course its Mega formes would be as well! But for the mega formes of lesser Pokemon, I say we individually test and judge each of them, before deciding which one to ban and which one to allow... -

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Since everyone and their mother is now out on the X/Y craze, I don't think this would be the right time to get this idea started, because people wouldn't be much active around here... Besides, I do understand that, with all the enthusiasm generated by this new Gen 6, there will be people willing to choose Kalos Pokemon as their partners. I have therefore decided to wait a bit more before starting this roleplay: we will begin as soon as complete info about the new Pokemon are available on Bulbapedia! This way, those who want to select a Gen 6 Pokemon (I understand the starters and Litleo's family are particularly popular) as their partners will be free to. So yeah, it will probably take one more week or so: stay tuned! -
For me (in uni), it is a question of getting a damn job and earning the damn money, and I am halfway through that

Bounce to nail rival's Chesnaught, Night Slash as only secondary STAB, Water Shuriken that is both priority and multi-hitting, AND the new fighting-type move that not only provides perfect neutral coverage, but also boosts Atk on usage... After gathering some more info, my current plan for a X team consists of Greninja, Charizard, Lucario, Furfrou, Sylveon, and Gogoat. Would it be any good? I saw Roselia can be caught early in the game, if Shiny Stone can be obtained somewhere then I might consider Roserade over Gogoat, because Poison beats Fairy...

Does Mr. Butler present you with the Furfrou you have to catch in the maze, or do you need to catch one in the wild? Also, is Eevee given to you by someone like in all the previous games? And if so, where/when?

I perfectly understand the feeling, in fact I am in your same exact situation... What can I say? You have all my sympathy! Incidentally, I would consider settling for a 2DS, because it costs much less and thus it will be easier for you to save the money... That is what I am going to do!

What is a reliable Fighting-type in Pokemon X, aside from Pangoro/Chesnaught?

2 things I need to know while I wait that this week ends and I finally get Pokemon X next monday: 1) Is Greninja a physical or a special attacker? 2) Is Furfrou's ultra-cool ability supported by decent or at least semi-decent stats and movepool?

Still no way of emulating X/Y, I'll really have to wait 2 more weeks to save the money and buy the actual game... Oh well, at least I cracked Fifa 14! I have something to do while I wait
