  1. Pretty sure it is explained somewhere in the OP. As to the criteria according to which each Number (or "family" of Numbers) was associated with an Arcanum well, I preferred not to disclose them to prevent people from rigging the test... And really, I don't really feel like explaining everything like now. Some, like Lancelot for The Lovers and Utopia for The Fool, should be pretty obvious tho...
  2. To think I would warn someone against dragmag in these times and days...

It's been ages since I've seen it. Come to think of it, I rarely see any of those 2 pokeon lately.

And still, with how powerful Volt-Turn is as a strategy, dragmag can still be a thing... Who woulda thought?

  3. Wait, you like to punish opponent's decisions, you made an argument (which I liked a lot) in favor of Aegislash returning to OU because it punishes decisions which is a good thing, and you are not using Aegislash in this team? I am a bit disappointed... This aside, I think you are overly obsessed with Heatran. You already have two ways of baiting it and obliterating it with a Ground-type move, do you really need the shaky Focus Blast on Clefable? I'd really recommend running Softboiled instead, Clefable is a Pokemon you want to stay alive for as long as possible, so that it can continuously soften up the special walls your opponent my carry and pave the way to Serperior. So the last thing you need is for it to get worn down early on. Focus Blast doesn't add anything to your team outside of hitting Heatran (Flamethrower is better to hit Steel-type mons on the switch, and Lopunny is something nobody in possession of their mental faculties would switch into Clefable anyway), and you really can deal with Heatran in other ways. Why do you hate it so much? Anyway, I also think you should run Leftovers on Serperior, with Dragon Pulse over Giga Drain: if you play cleverly, the passive recovery is all you need to mantain your subs, Contrary will allow you to build momentum and hit like a truck anyway (the extra power really is marginal once you hit +4), and Dragon Pulse will prevent Serperior from becoming set-up bait for Dragonite, which is very very important as this team seems kinda exposed to a dragmag core. By this I mean that most U-turn users of the tier can easily force you to switch to one of your Steel-type mons... And they are both weak to Electric, so all a guy needs to do is U-turn bait you into Magnezone and bam, suddenly you have lost your defensive core, and their Dragonite is ready to sweep you. So yeah, having something to score the surprise OHKO on Dragonite as it attempts to set up in such a scenario would be important IMO. Really tho, your weakness to U-turn + dragmag is staggering: if your opponent has out Scizor or Landorus you have no choice but switch to Skarm/Empoleon, as they threaten the rest of your team, so all they need to do is U-turn into Magnezone and you are screwed... I really really think you should get yourself a defensive Pokemon that resists U-turn and isn't weak to Electric, just to solve this problem: Gliscor, Landorus-T, things like those. A Landorus-T would be ideal because you could give it Stealth Rock, allowing Skarmory to do the defogging: this way, you could run Landorus-T over Empoleon. There are also other solutions, pick the one that fits better your criteria, but seriously, do something about this problem of yours... I hope this could help!
  4. I see I am still the only sane person in Reborn. That's good to know. Welcome to our wonderful asylum community!
  5. And with this, I am reassured: the title of "only sane person in Reborn" still belongs to me... Welcome to our wonderful asylum community!
  6. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-226291110 Another guy who quits upon being outplayed... And the funny thing is, despite being outplayed he STILL had the thing won, had he remained... Learn not to be hasty people!

Sorry forgot the knock off. Your Vaporeon had 48.5% HP left. SR would take 12-13% taking it to 35.5%. You've taken an EQ that did 34.5%. So even at 1% you could still survive. As it seems the 35 is a high damage roll. Plus now that I see it, a CC should do more.

  7. A capitalist, a worker and an immigrant are sitting around a table. There are 10 cookies on the table. The capitalist grabs 9 cookies then tells the worker "Beware! The immigrant wants to steal your cookie!"

  8. THERE ARE ATELIER GAMES FOR VITA? Oh God I am still playing the Atelier Iris sub-series on PS2... Please send me a complete list via PM!
  9. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/uu-226227650 STeelix just refuses to go down and claims two victims, in the easiest 6-0 of my UU career. And people say Aggron outclasses it...

Aggron is an all-out attacker with a reliable ability and stats to compliment its defenses. Steelix works both as a tank and a utility SR + D-tail pokemon that, with the right synergy can punch holes through opponent defenses. That's the major difference

Guys awe are all saying more or less the same things lol. Can we just admit that yes, we fundamentally agree except for some minor details? :P

Na, we do just elaborating on said points in different ways lol. THing with Pokemon... is so much of it comes down to Preference more than anything else.

  10. TO do list: get into the Dangan Ronpa series then!
  11. Ah crap Chim, you really had to force me to post didn't you? Fine, here comes the ad personam Recap Post! Zechs, Cyaloom and Hiss (and why not? Chim too) And while I'm here, might as well fuse this with the post I was planning to make with Anna: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anna calmly walked into the garden. There was an isolated spot, not far from where Lane & co were standing, which she liked in particular: closed between two big trees and the school's wall, that small spot was constantly in the shadow, so the air there felt moist and fragrant. After having survived the barrage of questions from her students, that was the perfect place to take a breather: she was happy of the way events were unfolding, her students were turning out to be even more enthusiastic than she had dared to expect... She had barely needed to push them at all! Still, they were all proving to be a bit more nosy than she would have liked them to be: for them to involve her in their childish delusions right away, and to get her involved in that investigation nonsense without a second thought... She had done well in eluding their barrage of questions, but it was incredible how bold they had gotten, and how quickly at that! But was it just childish enthusiasm? Or were they actually suspecting her? And... Was the whole investigation thing really a delusion? Granted, she was aware that the chain reaction she had started was the only way to achieve her final goal, and she knew that any attempt on the kids' part to get involved as anything more than mere pawns was doomed to fail... But she couldn't help but feeling sorry for Tenjo. His death wasn't part of the plan, and had genuinely saddened her, so maybe she could allow those kids to at least find whoever had murdered the guy and make them pay... Saddened... Saddened? What with that uncharacteristic word? And why would she use it so naturally, so spontaneously, in an inner monologue? Were those useless things she had read of (what were they called again? Ah yes, "feelings") starting to rub off on her? Anna sighed, as she gazed into the distant sky, a nostalgic sensation in her heart and her eyes widening unnaturally, the irises, pupils and scleras fusing in an uniform golden glow. "What a hassle these humans are..." She murmured, but there was no trace of harshness or hatred in her words, no sign of disdain in those strange eyes: only a deep, deep sadness... [Lane & co might spot Anna (better if you wait a couple more posts before doing so, remember we have still a whole week), but you are too distant to hear her words, and she is facing the other way, so you cannot see her eyes either]
  12. Sometimes, if you have a shaky connection, stuff like this can happen. It is not a problem for anyone really, so you can just leave it there. I don't think you will be infracted for double posting for that And I will post at some point today or tonight. I promise. EDIT: and there I thought I'd do something special for my 1000th post
  13. As a proud owner of a PsVita myself (I sold back my 3DS, thus abdicating the possibility to play ORAS, for the sake of getting a Vita!) I am always looking for new games, so I will take this topic as an opportunity to get some new ideas. I am a fan of JRPGs, which is the reason behind the aforementioned decision to foresake my 3DS in favor of a Vita: DIsgaea 3 and 4, Persona 4 Golden, and the remastered edition of old favorite Final Fantasy X are all I wanna play right now! But If I can add more games of the same genre to my collection, all the better EDIT: speaking of which, what does SDR2 stand for?
  14. The moment when you type a big post in a discussion, then you realize the kind of reaction such post could get, and you just delete the whole thing and abandon thread...

    1. Code: PIRULUK

      Code: PIRULUK

      I know that feel.

  15. Honestly? I never ever found Aegislash to be even remotely as broken as the overreacting fanbase made it out to be in the first place. I would elaborate on this, but last time I defended a perfectly legit Pokemon from the overreacting fanbase all I achieved was a localized crapstorm of flaming, and the Pokemon in question was banned anyway, so I'll stay out of the discussion this time. But really, I am glad Aegislash is getting another chance. On a side note, Mega-Gross cannot be OHKOed by any move Aegislash learns unless Aegislash is at +2 and even then it is naturally faster, and its EQ is a clear 2KO: if they brought Aegislash back specifically to counter Mega-Gross they are doing something wrong: I am not saying Aegislash cannot beat Mega-Gross, I am simply stating that it is, at most, a semi-reliable check, but definitely not a counter...
  16. Excuse me? I thought I had made it clear that RUM cards are plot-locked, and will only be introduced when and how the plot requires it...
  17. By all means do post if you feel like doing so, it might still be some time before I make a post of mine... It was indeed something that went down as the RP started. Unfortunately now it's too late to get involved in any way, better luck next time I guess :/
  18. Incidentally Cyaloom: is "Have you met her or something?" the first question that comes to your mind upon hearing someone mentioning an urban legend you have never heard of before? Of course this is but a minor nitpick but still, these are the details you need to pay attention to in order to improve as a roleplayer...
  19. *procrastinates* I have decided to let Setsuna get her Number next, I need to study the situation to create the perfect occasion and well, I just came back from a night out, I don't really feel like atm...

Ahah thanks, I am actually not that good at the game per se, I just happen to be a guy who loves mind games... And yeah for two gens now it has been a sort of non-written rule that every single UU team in existance must have a bluky Water-type Pokemon (what with Entei and Darmanitan running wild)... And Scald is just too good not to use :P

I see. I think anyone would got a shock when you're trying to do 6-0 and one of your pokemon(except sturdy) get 1% in the end.

  22. Speaking of which, I am going to make a post of my own in the evening. Who wants to obtain their Number next?
  23. I think Red misunderstood the part when Luna told her about Lane's card, and she thought it was about Kilve. I tried to point that out earlier, but Red must have missed it...
