  5. With Reborn being a constantly growing community, respectful interaction between members is key to help users form connections and to keep discussion alive and healthy. One of the key factors in healthy discussion is an omission of demeaning language. This thread has been made to discuss our stance on this in regards to Community Rule 4. What is Community Rule 4? Rule 4 states that users should refrain from using racial/sexual/etc. slurs in the community. Derogatory language applies to a multitude of slurs that are meant to disparage and degrade those who are affiliated with the word used. These slurs demonstrate a complete lack of compassion and understanding for fellow users. Derogatory language not only applies to race, religion, sexuality, and gender, but also diseases and disorders. Out of respect for all members of the community and those affected by these slurs, we ask that you refrain from using them. If you see any users using derogatory language, please report it to a staff member as soon as possible. So what counts as a slur? There are a plethora of words that count as slurs. These slurs include but are not limited to: Some of these words may come as a surprise to a few. Gay, cancer, AIDS, and rape, while all having meanings that wouldn't constitute them as slurs, in certain contexts, are considered derogatory. Gay, cancer, and AIDS are considered slurs when used as an adjective to refer to something in a disapproving manner. Additionally, rape is considered derogatory when used in a context synonymous to dominating or destroying. Finally, telling other users to kill themselves or otherwise promoting suicide is also unacceptable. What happens if derogatory language is used? This is where our warning system comes in. The offending user will be issued a warning worth 1 point that lasts for a total of 90 days. For more information about warnings and their repercussions, take a look at this. For information about our lifetime warning system, look here. If you have any questions in regards to Rule 4, warnings, or anything pertaining to this announcement, feel free to contact a staff member. ~Tacos and Staff
  6. Ok we're gonna ignore the fact that jax afk'd because I was already like 10/0 before he left all of these games were s+
  7. Ok so I happen to be very slow and lazy but I finally tested 1.8 to ensure there are no major changes that would affect reborn and that seems to be the case. Nothing has changed in this way. I'll update the OP to reflect this.
  8. Are you ok Mike? Congrats Simon glad to have you on the global team, friend!
  9. i'm getting dat rupee

  10. Ame learns Bad Puns by level-up and I think you should really delete Snarky Post for it because it's a lot stronger.
  11. "Breakfast is the sexiest meal of the day."
  12. I think just giving specifically a game, time and date, and where the game will be played is what you need. I don't know if declaring every Friday and Saturday night as your hosting night is gonna fly considering weekends are probably the most optimal times to host and to play. So, just try to limit yourself to one date at a time and leave room for others to give it a shot too. You can give prizes but know that reborn won't be offering them. If you have prizes that you want to give out from yourself, then go ahead.
  13. All leaders did eventually become characters within the game. But as Simon said, the S3 lineup is the most accurate to the gym leader roster in the game itself.
  14. The days of PO weren't that long ago, were they? Ancient, a bit much. But yes, it's definitely been a while. The events that transpired are obviously not exactly as they were in game, but are accurate in some ways. Amaria did suffer amnesia but she didn't lose her memory by jumping off a waterfall as far as I can remember. But yes, if you dig deep enough or talk to some of the older members of the community, they could give you more accurate answers.
  15. Won against DD 5-0. GG my friend. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-uu-61719
  16. If you don't mind me asking, what was so stacked against you?
  17. gonna take a while for that to happen again
  18. You never stop at 100 sillies. What's the point if we don't get to knock you back down to 0
  19. Ok so here's the dealio. Reborn Game Night was something primarily run by Rose but also was capable of being run by members who were willing to tackle the task for the time. So what we're going to do is re-pin the Reborn Game Night thread. Those who are willing to run an event will indicate when they want to, and what event(s) they wish to host. They will then be added to the OP for easier access. These events that can be done on the server will be done in the Games room or in Mafia Village if playing mafia. Games hosted outside of Reborn will obviously be done so on the indicated sites. Queen's Game is, and always has been allowed for these game nights without auth supervision. King's Game will remain off-limits as a party-themed game as well as the tendency for borderline R7 material that we generally would need to monitor. Those who wish to host tournaments can be made room drivers in the Games room. So now that Reborn Game Night is being reinstated, I'm going to go ahead and lock this.
