  1. It's upsetting that no one ever remembers Manectric or Heliolisk. Both Pokemon are fast, and hit pretty hard; and get very good coverage moves. I'd recommend Heliolisk. It can get Thunderbolt via levelup, Dark Pulse & Grass Knot via TM, and Surf as an HM. It's also very fast and hits hard. I'd also recommend replacing Arcanine with Darmanitan. A much better physical attacker and can help with that fighting type problem (Hammer Arm), and isn't very difficult to obtain.
  2. Dusclips gets Ice Punch via move relearn, Swampert does not.
  3. They're all corrupted, unfortunately. I'm running through the game right now. :]
  4. :] Without derailing the main post of the thread, I didn't have much to do around the forums so I disappeared, I still pop in every now in then. Though with E16 coming out I'll definitely be around as episode releases always make the forums go crazy and make them entertaining. Hopefully the Beta test goes fast, I have tons of friends who want to play the game as well.
  5. 99%, and my save file corrupted :]]. Better get started. I'm super excited.
  6. The guide does indeed say Friday, are you sure you were looking at the correct one? It should be pinned at the top of 'On the Hunt'.
  7. Manectric!! also gets Flamethrower which I recommend adding. Magnezone is a bit weak because I don't think it can get Thunderbolt right now (?) and Ampharos is slow unless you use Agility. Manectric is fast and hits pretty hard.
  8. When are you ever forced to use certain Pokemon? You always have freedom on what to choose. If you don't want to use Trubbish, then don't. There's a large variety of things to choose from before the first gym, and many of them can be useful. I'm sure you can find something you're interested in using.

The Grand Hall, though I believe you need to have 3-4 badges or something first. You can battle the trainers inside.
  10. I recommend removing Kricketune completely as it's pretty much useless after the 2nd Gym. I also recommend going back into the railnet and getting Ralts in place of Gothitelle / Woobat. If you want to keep a Bug-type, I'm pretty sure you can get Karrablast in the same location you fought Noel, which evolves into a Bug / Steel type Escavalier. If you haven't also, you should head back into the Jasper Ward, save all the police officers, and get the Mystery Egg. Most of the Pokemon you can get from that egg are really good, and you could do with a Water-type. Maybe you could get Staryu from that egg. Anyways, you have lots of overlapping types. two fighting, two flying, two psychic. Here's my final suggestions: Blaziken -> keep Noivern -> keep Gothitelle -> Gardevoir Swoobat -> Mystery Egg Kricketune -> Escavalier Pangoro -> Water type Water types will be important to you soon, and it'd be good to have one anyways for type coverage.
  11. +1. I have never used more than 5-6 pokemon through a run. you need to manage your typings and strategies
  12. Can you make a team that uses Normal Scizor & Magnezone, with Starmie as a spinner? kinda like a volt-turn thing thanks!
  13. You can go to the move deleter and completely wipe all of one Pokemon's moves and just hope you get at least 3/4, you could probably live without Spikes tbh
  14. What are the current locations for all 3?
  15. I recommend going back to Episode 12 to breed over better moves. Though if you find that a bit cheaty, then don't do it. I have a set that consists of Sludge Bomb, Extrasensory, Giga Drain, and Hidden Power. Technician boosts Hidden Power's damage, and all of the other moves are coverage and overall good damage moves. Sludge Bomb via Muk>Stunfisk>Wooper>Snubbull>Roselia (not Budew). Sludge Bomb and Extrasensory via Muk>Stunfisk>Wooper>Snubbull>Roselia>Exeggcute>Roselia (if you evolve it at the level it gets Extrasensory.) For the Extrasensory and Sludge Bomb chain, the last product/egg gained has to be Budew, Extrasensory can only be gotten if it hatches as Budew, so have it hold a Rose Incense. (Taken from here.) Trace is good, Synchronize is also good as you can inflict status conditions on the opponent if they're conflicted upon you. OHKO - One Hit Knock-out. Extrasensory deals with Poison types, which otherwise Roserade cannot do any damage to at all.
  16. There was already a large discussion about Talonflame being not OP on I think "The Axe" thread. I'll see if I can find it. Edit: Yes, here it is. Starts there and continues quite a bit. Answering you, however, I think leveling your glorious bird up a bit would help a bunch.
  17. You can indeed get Pinsir or Heracross, though it is quite tedious,
  18. Every starter is good in it's own way. People trash Chikorita, but when I used one, it was helpful quite a bit. Torchic and Chimchar are good, Fennekin is pretty good, Turtwig, etc. I don't recommend starting with something you don't want to use, though. Pick your favorite.
  19. I think it's when you raid the Magma base, I don't remember though.
  20. Use Swampert's Earthquake to destroy the field, then set up with Bisharp.
