  1. Aww. Does this mean I indirectly caused his death by deciding to stay? Or would he have died anyway? The guilt is getting to me...
  2. Well. Talk about plot twist. That was unexpected. So where did Nero land in the town? Or does it not matter, and I should just pick somewhere?
  3. So, Dark Souls II, I see you're on sale on Steam. You know what that means...

    1. Cyrus

      Cyrus

      Not buying it.

  4. ^ Same here. If you couldn't tell yet, I'm interested, so you can put me on that list.
  5. How strictly would we be following these lists? For example, would it be plausible to encounter a black dragon that breathes fire, or is it limited to mist? On another note, I would not mind RPing a black dragon or wyvern for other PCs to encounter. (Going on what you said about some people starting in positions of power.) It would definitely lean towards the evil side of things, though perhaps have a few redeemable traits and change its ways over time.
  6. Lars sighed, taking out the spheres containing his GAOs. He decided he would run them both through the healing machine, just to be safe. Dominance hadn't really done a whole lot at the side gate, due to having a hard time hitting the floating creatures, but Sleepy was probably fairly tired mentally. Lars smiled at the capsule. The little guy had done good work. After healing them, he walked into the armory. He wasn't a big fan of guns, and he especially didn't like killing anything, especially wildlife. Though, technically this giant bird they spoke of probably wasn't natural wildlife. He resigned himself to the job, knowing that that was what he was expected to do here. He went to the crates, digging through them trying to find extra clips that looked like the one on his rifle. Honestly, he had no idea what type of gun it was, and nobody had bothered explaining it to him. It had sort of just been thrust into his hands as the creatures swarmed. Luckily, he had figured out how to use it, all thanks to their earlier training. He exited the armory, all ready for battle. He sighed again. High pressure situations didn't go well with his laid-back personality.
  7. Pretty sure they're not doing it just to agitate you, but more to help with realism. Oh well. Let's all just calm down and kill the giant bird nicely...
  8. I don't believe that they've ever met. Things could get interesting... EDIT: Also Notus, what is the top of the garden supposed to look like? I was thinking about making thepost where Phantom reaches the top, but I'm not really sure how to describe it.
  9. Hukuna "I think it is best I have a job unlike my old one, for my own sake. If this Olympus will have me, so be it. I had the impression from Hades that was what I was being recruited for anyway." Ms. Archer nodded. "An understandable sentiment." She paused, appearing to think something over. Eventually she spoke again. "...So it was Hades you spoke to?" She sighed. "I'm sorry about that. He couldn't have been terribly polite. I'm surprised he managed to get you to agree to come here..." She frowned. "I can't say I have much trust in Hades. He's a bit cracked, as I'm sure you noticed. Still, with his level of power, there's not much we can do but try to keep him on our side..." She waved a hand. "That's all for now. I'll speak with Zeus and Poseidon about getting you a place in Olympus." Poseidon moved from his place by the door to escort Viktor out. As they exited, Zeus led Keaton inside, switching places with the other pair. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Arkhidon Zeus gave Keaton a gentle nudge as Poseidon and Viktor walked out. "Looks like it's your turn." He gave a reassuring smile as he led the young man in, taking place by the door once they were inside. Lydia Archer turned to face Keaton as he entered. She motioned to the chair. "Please, have a seat." She looked him over for a while, before eventually speaking. "You're still rather young, aren't you..." she mumbled. She sat up straighter, a more businesslike expression coming over her face. "Keaton Aome, correct? I have heard that you possess a rather atonishing intellect... and that you weren't always at this level of thought. Tell me, how do you think this came to be?" ----------------------------------------------------------------- rustytengo, K_H, and typhlosionrulez The Bartender raised an eyebrow at the mention of Beverly's ability. "Really?" he asked rather incredulously. "That could prove to be quite useful..." He nodded to the group. "Well, I'm glad to see that you're all willing to help our cause. We'll head back to base so you can meet the boss now." He brought out the cellphone again, dialing another number. "All right, Blue, we're all clear. Take us to base." He returned the phone to his pocket. There was a blue flash a few seconds later as Blue appeared on the rooftop. He disappeared with them in pairs, just as earlier. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Jory Cedric stood slowly. He looked more tired than he had before, perhaps from the stress of what he did. He motioned to Lux, standing at attention. "Please, there's no need for that. I'm just a man, after all." He led Lux out the door and back down the hallway until arriving at an elevator. He hit the button for the basement. As they exited the elevator, they found themselves in a large open room, completely bare. Cedric walked out, Lux following behind. He walked to the middle of the room before stopping. He looked at the watch on his wrist. "It shouldn't be long before Blue arrives..." Almost as if on cue, there was a flash of blue light as Blue appeared with two other people. He quickly disappeared, giving Lux a chance to closely observe the two. One of them was a fairly young man, perhaps in his late twenties, with short blonde hair. He wore a checkered green and white vest over a pale brown long-sleeved shirt. He had khaki pants and formal black shoes. This man nodded at Cedric as he arrived. The other man who had arrived had red hair, and a pair of headphones dangled from his neck. He appeared to be in his mid thirties, and was in very good shape. He wore a motorcycle jacket and jeans. Seconds later, Blue returned with two more people. One was a tall and thin young man with short brown hair. He was wearing a turquoise shirt and bracelet with blue jeans. The other was a young woman, probably in her late teens or early twenties. She had a Japanese look to her, with shoulder-length black hair and a black dress. Cedric nodded back to the man who had nodded to him. The man walked forward and spoke. "Sir, these are the new recruits. They have a variety of powers, though the girl's may prove especially useful..." Cedirc nodded his thanks. He turned to Lux. "Lux, this is a member of our organization known as 'The Bartender'. He was one of our first members, and I trust him wholeheartedly." He turned to the bartender. "This is Lux. He will be serving as an advisor of sorts to me, so I expect that you will give him your utmost respect." The Bartender nodded, turning to Lux and extending a hand. He spoke in a deep voice. "It's nice to meet you. Hopefully we will have a chance to get better acquainted later." Cedric Sterling spoke to the new arrivals. "Now, welcome, all of you, to the Organization. My name is Cedric Sterling, and I am the leader of this group. It is an honor to know that you are all interested in helping us to reach the Pillar." He paused, looking each of them over. "Now, as you probably could guess, I would like to know what each of you can do." He smiled. "An explanation and small demonstration will serve just fine. Just be careful not to cause any damage, if that is your sort of ability." ------------------------------------------------------------- Stratos "Do you want his death to be discreet or public?" Alister shrugged. "I'll leave that to your discretion. Do what you need to, given the situation. However..." A malicious smile came over his face. "...know that if anything may go wrong concerning me or Utopia, your family's life hangs in the balance. Keep that in mind." He laughed as he walked towards the door. He looked back over his shoulder as he exited. "You can spend the night here. A car will be back tomorrow night to take you to your destination. Do all you need to prepare, but make sure you're ready to go when the time comes. Beds are in the other room." With that, he left, the door closing behind him. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Chimchain “I’ll come with you, but where are we going?” Lawrence answered as they walked away. The sun was nearly set over the city. "We're going to a small forest near the outskirts of the city. I have a base of sorts there. Nobody will harm you inside." They walked for a long time, eventually reaching the forest. The sun had set a short while ago. They walked a path for a while, before eventually turning off into the brush. They came across an old monument, covered in moss and vines. A butterfly landed on top, looking at the two for a short while, before a portal appeared on the stone. "Here we are." -------------------------------------------- Snap Crackle Pop and Kind Murdoc "I'm tired, though, so I think I'll take that mattress. Could you point me in the general direction?" "Actually, same here. Sleep would be great." Beetle nodded at both of them. "Sure thing. Beds are downst-" His sentence was cut off as his eyes lost their focus. They took on a dull color for a short time before returning to normal. He shook his head. "Sorry about that. My grandpa's here with another newcomer. Must be fate," he joked. Another portal opened in the side wall, and two men strode through. The first was clearly Beetle's grandfather, looking to be in his fifties or sixties. He was in great shape for his age, standing tall and strong. He had a clean-shaven face with short cropped, well-kept grey hair. The younger man following him must have been the newcomer. Beetle's grandfather smiled upon seeing him. "Bryan, I'm glad to see everything is all right." He looked at Alice and Allen. "I see we have quite a few new members in our little group." He gave them a welcoming smile. "We're glad to help any we can." Beetle gave a friendly nod to his grandfather before he spoke again. "As I was saying, rooms are downstairs. Allen, you can have my room for now. It's the first on the left. I can sleep in Nexus's room. Alice, you'll be in the guest room, all the way down on the left." Bryan's grandfather spoke up. "Eugene, you can have my room until I get things expanded. It's the last one on the right. I'll sleep on the couch up here." He gave them all a look. "It's getting fairly late. You should all get acquainted with each other. Stay up as long as you want. I'll be going to sleep soon, though." -------------------------------------------------------------------- MasterWeavile898 and Supernovae "My name is Cassidy Willows. Who are you?" "My name is Zweiss," he responded. "I lead a group known as Utopia. We seek a better world for all of those gifted with abilities." He turned to the man next to him. "This is Jude. I am proud to say that he has just joined us today." He noticed her looking at the girl behind him. "I see you've taken an interest in Kiri. She is my personal helper, and much like a little sister that I have sworn to look after." He motioned her forward. Kiri stepped out from behind him, with the same expressionless face as always. She spoke in a monotonous voice. "Hello."
  10. Well, I suppose I haven't given any feedback yet. Here I go: What do you guys think of the project so far? Overall, it seems pretty good to me. I really enjoyed the beginning; that was a clever way to start things rolling. The in-between parts (crossing the bridge and the beginning parts of the village) weren't as interesting for me, but now things are looking up again. How do you like my writing style and the way I portray characters within my world? Overall, your writing is also very well done. There are some times where it seems a bit rushed, but that's understandable to me. (As an RP host myself, I've done the same thing a lot.) Sometimes I feel like many of your characters speak very similarly and lose some of their uniqueness there, but overall they still seem very interesting and unique. Who are your favourite NPCs? Hmm, that's a tough one. Nero hasn't interacted with many, so I'm going to base it off of what I've read in the other posts. I'd probably have to go with either Chauff or the Gentleman. I really like Chauff's personality and felt that you did a great job on his character. As for the Gentleman, I don't know a whole lot about his character, but his design sounded really good from the way you described it. Which NPCs peeve you off? Orpheas and Brass. Both of their personalities really annoy me, but its nothing you did wrong. I suppose I'll just have a bad first impression of the Victonari. Anything you guys think I can improve on? Not really. Just take a little more time on grammar I guess and try to create a little more unique styles of speech. (I say these more because I can't think of anything else to say, but you're already doing good on both parts.)
  11. First of all, Monster Hunter is awesome, nuff said. Secondly, if this did become an RP, I would love to play a wyvern. (as long as we treated them as similar strength to dragons, or close at least.)
  12. I don't know much about DnD, so I'm not sure how the life cycle goes based on that, but it sounds like a fun idea. If done well, I'd be interested. Also, dragons fear bigger dragons. and flying whale monsters
  13. Nero - Scout Team The skeleton tried to defend itself, but its movements were too slow. Nero's sword met its mark, sending the head of the skeleton flying into brush. The rest of the body crumpled to the ground and fell to pieces. Sure enough, the other skeletons had struck when he made the move. Nero spun quickly, blocking blows with his sword. He jumped backwards, putting some distance between himself and the skeletons again. He lashed out at the closest one, making eye contact with the Death Knight as he did so. It was an unnerving feeling, and he lost his concentration for a brief second, only catching a glancing blow on the skeleton's shoulder. The skeleton warrior retaliated, narrowly missing Nero, thanks to the Illusion magic he had cast earlier. Nero quickly cut the skeleton across its torso, breaking ribs enough so that they could not hold it up anymore. The skeleton's torso crumpled in on itself as it fell to the ground. "I'll need to be careful around this death knight..." he thought to himself. "I can't let myself get distracted by his gaze."
  14. Nash and Rhea stood outside the Roasted Boar, awaiting the rest of the group to arrive. Nash could see Alleria making her way over. None of them had spoken to him the night before about leaving, so that was a good sign. Still, he had flickering doubts. He decided that it was best to brush them away. He had restocked their supplies, and soon they would meet up with Gillem in Sakiiri. He would have an optimistic attitude. That being decided, he awaited for everyone to gather.
  15. Nero - Scout Team Nero spun slowly in a circle with both hands on his extended sword, watching for any sign of movement from the skeletons. They were eerily still, waiting for him to attack. Adding further to the discomfort of the situation was the death knight's stare. His glowing eyes seemed to look right through Nero. He would just have to ignore it for now. He lashed out at one of the skeletons, aiming to dismember its skull. He knew he would have to move quickly, as the others would likely close in as he made this strike. (((Should I be waiting for responses from you before making contact with these skeletons, or are they minor enough that I should direct it myself? Also, I'm assuming they aren't as well-armored as the death knight...)))
  16. "Nothing, Lars, we're just going to kill a giant ice bird that killed tens of our comrades. So, are you in, Lars?" Lars blinked at the news, unsure if he had heard Lionel correctly. After a while, he spoke. "Oh." He paused for a while more as the news settled in. "OH. That is not good." He still looked like he hadn't completely accepted the fact that people had died and their lives were all in danger. He shrugged the rifle he was carrying further up on his shoulder, looking at the spheres that contained Sleepy and Dominance. "Yeah, I guess I'm in." He looked back at the rifle. "Can't say that I'm a very good shot with this thing, nor can I guarantee Sleepy or Dominance will be much help. They're both kinda small..." He paused, still looking surprised and confused at the situation he found himself in. "So, uh, we're gonna go kill a giant bird thing, then?"
  17. Phantom stood where he was for a while after the girl left, thinking of nothing, yet thinking of so much. After a while, he began to walk. "To go up... down..." he said quietly, "and down... up." He made his way to the staircases once more, beginning the climb to the top of the garden. He knew not what he would find, but if he wanted answers, he had no other choice. The only desire his heart had, perhaps the only desire it had ever had, for all he knew, was to reach the bottom. And to do that... he needed to go up.
  18. There's still room for him. He just has to show that he wants it.
  19. Yeah, that wasn't so much the point of the post as the part for TheRealSpark, but I put it there too.
  20. Everyone is updated. TheRealSpark, if you want to think up some starting situation for your character, go for it. You've been confirmed.
  21. Aw, thanks. I really hope he makes it to the bottom. I have a rather interesting idea for what would happen if he gets there...
