  1. Yo yo Hukuna bro, where are you? This thread might need the old 'Kuna lockdown if things don't calm down. EDIT: Nvm, he's a ninja mod. Anyway, I think certain people are taking this a bit too personal. Let's just calm down, yeah? Rez, I'm not sure what you're used to, but around here, a big focus of our roleplaying forum is to help everyone improve -- both veterans and new roleplayers alike. I've been doing this for almost two years now, and I can still see places where I'm a bit shaky. Whether you'd believe it or not, time does contribute to the improvement in roleplaying. (Just look at my early posts in Aftermath. ) As others have said, improvement also does require a willingness to learn, but I haven't found anyone here who lacks that. Yes, sometimes it can be frustrating to see poor grammar or whatnot, but I'd much rather deal with grammar than shun people from all roleplays just because of that factor. I have a friend here who started off with very poor grammar in his roleplaying, but with the help of the members in this subforum, he's grown exponentially better.
  2. There are 3 Marths? I only knew of two...
  3. This made me laugh way too hard... http://i.imgur.com/1u3eHnZ.gifv
  4. Oh gosh... Don't click the links in the comments please. ...That was horrible.
  5. Just a curious question -- when Vayne "speaks" with the forest, is that going to be an actual conversation carried out between (presumably) you and me, or will I just describe what he's doing?
  6. I finally have a rep number with a pattern to it! It's not quite as impressive or large of a number as everyone else though... :/ http://i.imgur.com/QFdoHVn.jpg

I was gonna comment on mine being 124, except it's 214... Or I guess 215 now

  7. When I think of nostalgic Sonic games, the first thing that comes to mind for me is Sonic the Hedgehog for Sega Genesis. That game was a good year or two of my childhood. I must've beaten so many times. Whenever I hear that Green Hill zone or even Marble Zone (which was my favorite) music, I just get that nostalgia feel. Then again, I never played Sonic Adventure 2 so idk.
  8. Ark u nvr told me u had dis talent. Now I mus tri 2. Here, i mad u a beutifl Solaire Noseps.
  9. Well, since nobody got the first WTC, he's a more gettable one, courtesy of OmegaRa1der. First to answer correctly chooses tomorrow's character. Who's that character? http://i.imgur.com/NbcfHm3.jpg

Had to give you some credit, Bibs. ;)

Also, some final help, just so somebody might get it. Here's another image of the same character in a different pose.

I would've said Guy at the first picture, but it looks like Dictator/M. Bison/Vega in the last one

And that would be correct! (Phew...)

  10. FFX isn't real-time and doesn't have ATB gauges, so you have all the time you want in the menus, but I can understand if it's just the turn-based combat that gets to you. I'll agree that action RPGs are by far the better way to go. I've greatly enjoyed all the Tales games I've played, with Abyss being at the top followed by Legendia. (Though for some reason a lot of people don't like Legendia. )
  11. Well, not sure what kind of setting you like in an RPG, but I'd always recommend the Dark Souls series to anyone who likes action RPGs. They're difficult, but insanely fun games, and there's practically no end to what level your character can be, so grinding is definitely something you may do. If you haven't played Final Fantasy X or Tales of the Abyss, those are both excellent games as well, and I've spent numerous hours grinding in both. FFX actually has bonus bosses at the colosseum that are impossible for a casual player to beat due to their insane amounts of health and damage. My party can deal 99,999 damage with basics after grinding, but I have yet to beat the final collosseum boss. So grinding will DEFINITELY get you somewhere in that game. Tales of the Abyss is a game that you'll have to beat multiple times to reach maximum damage potential, but the gameplay's so fun with so many sidequests that it's worth it imo. I've beaten it 3 times and I still haven't completed it all.
  12. I finally went back and started Dark Souls 1 again. I played DS2 and loved it, but could never get into the first game for the longest time. Now that I finally have, I can see that it's just as awesome. Other than that, I'm still playing Smite and practicing Super Smash Bros. Melee. Those two are unlikely to change for a long time...
  13. I'll agree that the "feel" of the game definitely changes after the earlier episodes, though for me the change was a bit past the railnet. My favorite part of Reborn was when you flee from Sigmund and the police with Anna, Noel, Shelly, etc. and hide out in Saphira's house. The game up to that point still felt dark, and there was a sense of urgency when you flee the city that I loved. After that segment, the game does change a bit. It's still dark, don't get me wrong, but it all feels less urgent, less dangerous, and just... different. Not that I don't still like the game; it's without a doubt the best Pokemon game or hack I've played. Just saying that I do agree that it feels different now.
  14. Welcome to Reborn! Let me link you to the important, need-to-see stuff. Other than that, I hope to see your around~ Hue hue hue...
  15. Today's "Who's that Character?" (I should just abbreviate to WTC...) is a bit more difficult, in my opinion. First to guess correctly picks tomorrow's character. Here's today's, brought to you by OmegaRa1der - Who's that character? http://oi62.tinypic.com/33e05ch.jpg

Lol Dobs... I can kind of see that now... Anyway, Omega also gave me an easier character that I can use if nobody gets this. So we'll see.

  16. I just want to say, do not try to translate the subtitles on that video. It does not work. (Though it was kind of funny. My favorite line was, "Soy sauce able to discern old Koyadaira Mr. nickname correctly. It will be in the 1 tablespoon.") Anyway, I'm reeaaally hyped for this.
  17. All right, I was unable to get the "Who's That Character?" posted yesterday, so here's today's pick, courtesy of Rezilia. First to answer correctly gets to pick tomorrow's character. http://oi61.tinypic.com/2hp4w9x.jpg

      Yeah, that's Raven. 2slow.

Raven is indeed the correct answer. Congrats to OmegaRa1der!

  18. I had three that I valued above all others. They were the first stuffed animals I ever got: a little rabbit named Char, a dog (creatively) named Spot, and a penguin that I unfortunately cannot remember the name of. It's on the tip of my tongue though... I still have them to this day. They're in a box in the storage above my room now. I think I'll take a picture of them. *** ...Aaaaand after while of chair standing and cat hair removal, here they are!
  19. Why can't we have a Ditto bot? When people start spamming, Ditto bot just turns into them and spams back. :Kappa:
  20. So I just looked at the lineup for Evo 2015... Super Smash Bros. Melee is the oldest game in the lineup by 9 years, the next oldest being Super Street Fighter IV. It has a 14 year separation from the newest game in the lineup, being Tekken 7. I was 4 when Melee was released and it's my go-to game right now... That's weird to think about.

    1. ShadowStar

      Melee for life~ <3

      Sm4sh is way better though.

To each their own... I will forever love Melee's tech skills and speed. Plus it's 10x more interesting to watch at a high level for me. Not to say that I don't enjoy playing Sm4sh as well, but Melee is my preferred game.

  21. I'm just going to leave this link here for anyone interested in reading this. It's an article that talks through some of the differences and highlights of Smash 4 and Melee, and I think it does a pretty good job as a compare/contrast of the two. It's relatively unbiased, though the point of the article is to make a case for Smash 4, so there's always a little bias towards that, but it never gets hostile. While I may not agree with the opinion that Smash 4 should be the primary tournament focus, he makes some valid points. It just kind of shows that the two sides of Smash should be able to talk about things without calling out the other game. http://kotaku.com/why-super-smash-bros-wii-u-deserves-to-dethrone-melee-1696512607
  22. So if the leaks from this video are correct, Dark Souls 3 is on its way, and it will be revealed at E3. Here's the video.
  23. PLEASE STOP SAYING THESE THINGS YOU MAKE ME WANT TO CRY. Seriously though, Marth has been my main man since Melee. I don't ever want to see him go, even if he becomes as bad as or worse than he is in Sm4sh. Plus, being the star of the first Fire Emblem game ever is enough justification for him to keep his spot imo. Well, he was also in Melee, and... you know how that game is. AMAZING At a casual level, he actual is a very good character though. TONS of power in that F-Smash. Also, Ness, Pikachu, Kirby, and Ganon are also less-than-stellar characters in Melee (Ness especially), but after being adapted to Smash 4, look how great they're doing. I think if he were to make a comeback in Sm4sh, it'd be know problem to balance him with the other characters' levels. I'd actually love to see him get completely reworked so as not to be a clone, though imo he's one of the more creative clones. (Power in the middle of the blade to contrast Marth's tippers, while having very weak tippers himself.)
  24. So the winner of the first "Who's that Character?" is Pineapple, with the correcct guess of Politoed! Here's the original image: http://oi62.tinypic.com/a0xrps.jpg
