  1. This is why I have two tabs open at all times for this RP: One being OOC and the other is the IC lol!
  2. I don't think he realized it. I gave him a message there that will be my response after he notices.
  3. ((Edited twice really late because of the issue involved.)) Danielle didn't respond to anything that was happening around her. She just wanted her Larvesta to be safe. Why would you do this!? What has Avis done to you people?! she had screamed at the elders. "LOOK AT HER! SHE'S ALMOST DEAD! SHE'S ALMOST DEAD!" The trainer just sat in the dirt. She continued to cry, remembering how helpless her Murkrow was in the hospital bed. She couldn't let it happen again, not ever. At that point, Avis, somehow, broke out of her Dusk Ball and sat beside her, giving a pat on her leg to indicate she was fine. Finally, her little bug nudged her gently and let out a small cry before nuzzling her cheek. Danielle peeked at the little, dirty firebug and an injured Avis before she hugged both of them. "I'm sorry, girls. I'm so sorry..."
  4. Getting ninja'd. What did I ever do to deserve this?! The situation she is in now will actually help with her character development better than I expected. Danielle is haunted by Avis' past death experience, despite her shrugging it off before this battle. The experience also explains why she hesitates whenever an Electric or Fairy type is mentioned. She's actually helpless right now. Avis is knocked out and Danielle would have never let her out anyway.
  5. Corona shrieked with fear as multiple attacks came at once. She was all wet and disgusting and is now trapped in the sand, unable to find find a way to get out. She couldn't even emit the fiery sparks to protect herself. Corona cried loudly. "NO! CORONA!" Without thinking, Danielle ran into the bowl itself and shielded the frightened bug with her body. The thought of having a Pokemon die because of her still scared the living hell out of Danielle. The images of Avis, the attack, and the recovery room flooded her brain as she clutched her Larvesta. In her fear, she didn't even realize that she was crying. ((EDIT: Just some grammar. The message is still the same.))
  6. ((Sorry for the flame-retardant String Shot. I was thinking that she will be fast enough so that the string shot won't give out before contact. It won't happen again.)) "Corona!" Danielle almost freaked out as her poor firebug sent flying into the air and is heading straight for the pit. "Think Danielle, think! What can she do with Flame Charge, String Shot, Morning Sun, and... Ember... Since I can't hit Teo directly..." "Corona! Shoot your Ember down! Then, Morning Sun!" Danielle shouted. The little fire bug aimed her head at the pit and spat out multiple little fireballs down. The impact of the fire and the ground created a mini explosion, sending Corona back up into the sky, leaning towards Danielle's side of the field. While she was in the air, Corona closed her eyes as her body glowed white, regaining her energy as she fell down.
  7. "Avis!" Danielle cried as the Murkrow landed straight to the ground. The Murkrow tried to get back up, only to faint in exhaustion, uttering a small cry of disappointment. Danielle couldn't help but grin at her as took out a Dusk Ball from her belt. She didn't think she would have to use it again, but here it is. "Thank you, Avis. You did well, as always. Come on back and get some rest." With that, a red beam absorbed Avis into the ball. With that, she quickly turns towards the Sand Tomb that threatened to engulf her Larvesta into the ground. If Danielle has to go down, she is not going down without a good fight. "Don't lose your speed, girl! Use your String Shot!" Corona immediately shot a strong, silk-like thread to a patch of solid grass near Teo. Using it as a rope, the Larvesta continued her assault and sailed towards Teo, the fire still cloaking her tiny body.
  8. ((Used the wheel, landed on no sleep)) "That... was... amazing!" Danielle complemented as Teo threw Avis to the ground. This could definitely be something she could use in upcoming battles. She also realized that physical attacks may not be a good way to go about tackling the Trapinch, unless he couldn't find the assaulter. She quickly regained her composure when she Avis struggling to get up. "But can you outlast her? Avis! Roost up!" Avis nodded with a grin and her body began to glow brighter than ever before. Avis gave a cry of happiness as she regained some of her health, raising only one wing towards the sky instead of her usual two. The Murkrow was hoping her master could understand that something was up. She had felt the sun beating down on her harshly because her black feathers absorb more heat than those of other bird species. "That's odd, why did she raise only one wing? And..." Danielle asked herself as she loosened her scarf and let it drape on her neck. "Why the hell is it burning now... Wait a minute," Danielle gave a glance upwards; the sun was brighter than usual. "That's what Avis was signaling! Sweet! But, who used Sunny Day?" She was shocked at this revelation as she looked at the playing field. Jacob's Lapras was singing a lullaby to Corona. "Sunny Day and fire... That's it! I need to get Corona out of here now! "Corona! It's not bed time yet! Use Flame Charge to get out of there and hit Teo! Avis..." Danielle hesitated; she knew Avis is frail. One good hit from Chalchi and she would go down. However, Avis gave a reassuring nod; the Murkrow trusted her master's judgment despite the outcome. "Alright, Avis, fly high and target Chalchi with Pursuit while she's distracted!" The drowsy little Larvesta immediately opened her eyes and Flame Charged straight towards the exhausted Teo by beneath Chalchi's neck with even more speed than before. She almost looked like a fire bullet from the crowd's point of view. Up above, Avis was zooming down towards Chalchi from behind with a black wave of energy now surrounding her wings. "It this works, Teo might be down, but so might Avis..."
  9. I'm honored that Danielle's bullying got some use for ideas. Too bad that Danielle is not going to stop that joke.
  10. Despite that connotation, I doubt Alvin will get into any relationship with any of his bugs. He was already freaking out about being gay and insisted that he is "normal." Although it does make another good joke for Danielle... EDIT: Ninja'd again. I'll try to restrain myself from making that joke then :x
  11. @Commander: You're ninja-ing skills are amazing. I applaud you~ Now I need to go back and fix my post -.-
  12. "Hmm... I need Avis and Corona to take out the Lapras fast. That's the main threat right now to both of them, but that sand... I need to get them out of there first." Just then, the sun seemed to shine a little more brighter than usual. Danielle didn't notice it at first; she fiddled with the straps before she called her next commands. "Corona, use Flame Charge to protect Avis from the Water Gun. Continue in that direction to hit Chalchi. Avis, fly now and Pursuit Teo from above!" Avis quickly flew up, blowing out some the dust along the way, and headed into the air. She hoped Corona could take a hit before she dived straight for the Trapinch with her amazing natural speed. Her beak began to turn black with the dark aura surrounding it. On the ground, Corona had cloaked herself in fire; she could feel her body brimming with energy, allowing her to move faster than before. With that, she ran head on into the Water Gun, the damage softened by the heat and sun (unbeknownst to all three) and headed straight for Chachi.
  13. I was gone for like 30 minutes and I come back to find "Claude is the man whore." Just wow. lol And yes, Mawile is found in caves. I guess that's my cue for Mawile to be my 3rd member (and first male in the team). EDIT: @Commander: It will be funny, but that is up to you to decide (going with their personalities and all). Either way, my rough idea will not be effected much.
  14. Since we are going to the mountains, is there a chance that Mawile is around? I'm currently stuck between choosing Ivysaur and Mawile as the third party member
  15. "Thank you Monsieur~" Danielle gave a slight curtsy. "Without further interruption, let us give a show! Avis, send a Featherdance over there! Corona, follow up with an Ember!" Avis unleashed a huge mass of black feathers that are propelled forward with the flaps of her wings. The feathers then caught flame as Corona released an Ember, sending fiery feathers straight to both of Jacob's Pokemon.
  16. We missed the 1000th post on this thread? I don't recall anyone pointing it out. .-. Also, can Larvesta have Flame Charge at this point? I was thinking of Ember, String Shot and Morning Sun as her moves right now. And yes, I will not give Zen Headbutt because it's too OP for my tastes.
  17. Danielle gave a laugh, "Says the person who got here last~ I'm thinking of a 2 on 2 doubles since these two want to battle together..." With that, Avis and Corona went into the field and assumed their battle position. Avis was sitting on the ground, her wings hung loosely at her side for easy takeoff. "Now the only questions are battle points or not and who gets the right to go first?"
  18. Since there are a lot of GRASS and BUG types, it wouldn't hurt to bring a FLYING or FIRE Pokemon...
  19. "Shiro, I'll let you talk to Professor Redwood about Tal. I have a job that I have not finished yet~" Danielle turned to Colin, who was admiring Jacob's Lapras. "Oh Colin, you and your water fascination. How about I let you appreciate it from afar while we battle?" Danielle said cheerfully. "Avis, Corona, are you two ready?" Avis gave a hearty "Krow!" and Corona nodded shyly. Danielle picked up her Larvesta and pet her on the head. "Don't worry about the outcome, little girl. Just give it your best! We have all the time in the world to get better!" The pep talk gave Corona more confidence; the Larvesta issued a small cry of thanks and allowed Danielle to carry her to Devin's battlefield. Corona then jumped onto Avis' back; the two Pokemon looked at Danielle expectantly. "A Double already, you two?" Danielle asked. They both nodded, awaiting her response. "Well, since you two bonded so quickly, how could I say no?" she beamed at the duo. "Alright, Jacob! Let's get this battle started!" she yelled out cheerfully.
  20. It's hard for me to explain due to my lack of experience in Roleplaying too. I guess, if I use myself as an example, I tend to be protective? of my characters. I guess I don't want anything bad to happen to them. I was surprised, myself, that Danielle can be looked at as a bully because of her teasing (thank you for pointing it out Chimchain!), but I accepted it because it makes her more fun to use. Danielle was actually more fun to RP with than my first PC (Miki). Then again, that RP has yet to allow me to use her more so far. The good thing is we have each other to critique one another (you know who you are), so we could ask one another to see if it's okay or not. Also, I don't really find Roy to be that sue-ish. He's funny and well-liked, but he can also be headstrong and reckless, which can get on people's nerves. Some, I feel, may even be taken aback by his outgoing personality.
  21. Stratos has a point. Not all of us (more like nobody) wants their PC to lose so, instinctively for some, some would try and do whatever it takes so that their PCs can win. We need to, somehow, restrain ourselves from going overboard to keep the story going and to keep it realistic. I'm not going to lie: I have never done a battle with the turn by turn style before, but seeing how some of us write here does help me along. All I could say is, please tell me when I go overboard too. It is going to be a constant struggle between me trying to keep it real and me trying to make my character win.
  22. "Sure thing~ By the way, I doubt that this has anything to do with you personally, Shiro. It's probably because some Pokemon can't take a loss so easily and lash out at everyone and everything. Tal did seem to hate everyone just now. So don't worry~" Danielle then turned to her two Pokemon. "Stay here in case something happens, okay?" The both nodded and let Danielle be off. Danielle decided to walk over to Professor Redwood. He seemed nice and friendly enough for Shiro to not feel intimated right off the bat, but also have enough authority to command respect from everyone, including a rebellious Snorunt. Plus, Devin was busy giving out his last remarks to Alvin and Evan, so she didn't want to interrupt. "Excuse me, Professor Redwood? Shiro's Snorunt here seems to be lashing out at everyone, like she's angry or something. We really are at a loss for words as to why that is the case. She even broke her own Pokeball! Will you be able to help us calm her down?"
  23. Damage calcs, I believe, can be omitted as long as we play fairly. Since we are incorporating some anime logic into this, damage calcs may not be accurate enough to use every single time we fight. I mean, come on, Ash's Pikachu came out on top even when they are up against a Dragonite. If we use calcs (even with Light Ball), I doubt that Pikachu would survive. Maybe we can use the calculator when we feel that it looks too extraordinary for a situation to happen. If the worst happens, then Chimchain has the final say. In regards to weird moves that switch out the Pokemon (ie: Dragon Tail and Roar) I feel that they should keep the switching effect. For example, I always imagined Dragon Tail being able to knock the opponent out of the field (or close to the trainer) so that the Pokeball will immediately recall the victim back. Roar would scare the opponent and cause the opponent to run into its respective Pokeball, etc.
