    Logan released Ace and Crush. Both of his GAO had evolved after months of rigorous training. But what made him most happy was that Crush started to trust him. Aside from that nothing much had changed. The turtle was still as cocky as ever and liked to pick fights with the hyperactive monkey.

    Sigurd couldn’t care less about the all the chitchatting about potential rewards. He wanted some decent action and hone his skills so he could kill the Gentleman next time they met. “Hey, big guy,” he said as he walked next to Brass. “What exactly are we facing? And I call dibs on their boss! After all, I have to show these Fire guys that Wind rules!”

    About those levels: Crush (Squirtle): 6 (I only counted the draw against Slowpoke, not knocking Chimchar out) Ace (Chimchar): 5 So if I add +10 for both, they can both evolve right? And I have no idea about those specialties. I'll google it some more.

    While his allies, and a strange Lizard, used various techniques, Sigurd focused on cutting down the Stirge that appeared in front of him. He was tempted to use a powerful technique to blow away the remaining opponents, if it wasn’t for the bridge. Instead Sigurd stopped running and focused on only one of his swords. He held it between his hands, one hand on the point. While he concentrated he murmured a prayer in Aelia’s honor. After a few seconds dust-like particles started gathering at his sword, creating a light blue glow. Sigurd released his technique with a powerful swing, slowing down some of the remaining Stirge.

    Oops, I checked every Eeveelution except Leafeon... But is this still happening?

    Ray interrupted the conversation by announcing it was almost lunchtime. “Ace, come here,” Logan said as he picked the monkey up. “I’ll put away the empty box so you can play with it later.” He then recalled the still grumpy Crush and jumped on the troop transport. Maybe if the turtle had some food it would open up a bit more.

    As long as they don't destroy my bunk ^^ Btw are we moving along with the story? If not, I'll let Chimchar pick a fight with Tyrogue.

    Logan watched as Keaton got into a jeep and left. Apparently he got reassigned. It was unfortunate Logan didn’t get to know the guy, but this was the army; a harsh environment where almost anything could happen. And it would only get harder from here on out. Meanwhile Clint lost a battle with Onix and seemed upset about it. “Don’t take it too hard. You can’t win them all,” Logan said as Ace jumped on Clint’s shoulder. “So i heard this one is a female. How did they ever discover the differences?" It was a rather awkward attempt to lighten up the mood, but Logan didn't have much experience with cheering people up. He scratched his head while trying to come up with something else to say, when Ace suddenly started to act up.The monkey was interested in the box of cigarettes and tried to grab it.

    It was tempting for Sigurd to make the bridge sway with one of his wind techniques. He thought it would be funny to scare one of his companions, but he didn’t know their sense of humor. In the end he decided against it since the thief was already scared when she saw fire. Looks like thieves really are cowards of the night. Just like my kinsmen told me. After Marcus told everyone he would close the line, Sigurd walked toward the bridge. “Well, since its beauty over wisdom, I guess it’s my turn… Oh wait, in this case I guess I’m both!” he said playful as he crossed the bridge.

    I wonder if there's an option to leave Noel behind in that orphanage...

    Oh ok. I thought he was still doing something sneaky with that phone call. And I think Squirtle and Chimchar are still lvl 5. Unless it counts as winning a battle when Squirtle knocked Chimchar out.

    After his battle with Lionel, Logan sat down against a tree. He was watching the other GAOs battle closely. Crush, who was ignoring Logan, was interested as well. “Impressive. Looks like you can’t judge a GAO based on its looks,” Logan said to Crush in an attempt to earn the turtle’s trust. When he got no response he sighed. He knew Crush was upset that their earlier match against Buddy ended in a draw, despite the latter looking weak and lazy. Logan decided to let it rest for now and released Chimchar from its sphere. The monkey didn’t act up like usual, but jumped on Logan’s shoulder instead. “Looks like you still haven’t recovered completely,” he said while patting the monkey. “Oak said it could take a few hours.” Crush made a weird noise at that comment, drawing Chimchar’s attention. Before it could start trouble, Logan grabbed it. “No fighting. What if Crush hits you again with water?” that seemed to calm Chimchar down, but not Crush. The turtle sprayed some water around to try to intimidate Chimchar, who stuck out its tongue. “Crush, enough! Or you can go back in your sphere.” The turtle turned its head and looked away. Logan turned his attention toward the battles again. Sid really likes his thundercat. And it looks like that thing can do some serious damage against water and flying GAOs. Also if the battle between Nathan and Clint was an indication, Chimchar won’t like rocks either. That means I know some of my GAOs weaknesses, but what are their strengths? Chimchar hopped on Logan’s leg and stared in his eyes. “What are you strong against?” he asked the staring monkey. Instead of showing Logan, like Crush had done, Chimchar started to show his arm muscles. Logan chuckled. “I got it. You’re strong. And since I haven’t given you a nickname yet, maybe I should call you Ace...” At that moment Logan and Chimchar got startled by an immense roar coming from Clint’s Onix. What? Onix is losing? I thought that thing was unbeatable. But looks like it’s weak against water, so Crush could beat it? What about Ace? What is he strong against? Maybe I should ask Oak when he returns.

    About those Eeveelutions: Ground type Eevee: Terreon? (I suck at names) Evolution method: Let Eevee touch a special stone in the desert (if there is one) or in ruins. Ability: Sand stream / Sand Force (Hidden) HP: 95 Att: 110 Def: 130 Sp att: 60 Sp def: 65 Speed: 65 Doesn't really need a signature move. What do you think?

    And how exactly do you want to capture it? So far the cadets are inexperienced and have no idea how to capture GAOs, so I don't think it's a good/logical idea. But why don't you just pick a second starter from gen 1-4? Just let Tamer decide what to do with it. He might come up with something else that would fit Zorua in the story. Edit @ Murdoc: I think Dragonite would fit in your team. Both Salamence and Hydreigon are dragons you don't want to mess with, so Bagon can be the rampaging / angry dragon. Dragonite would bring more balance as the 'gentle' dragon. (Not like Iris in the anime) And I thought you were making a Flying team

    Tamer explained in his first post in this topic how leveling works. Max 3 lvls if I remember correctly and since this are the first battles, I doubt there would be a lvl 20+ GAO for cadets.

    All starters are at lvl 5 (or 10?). It wouldn't be fair for a character to have a GAO 15 lvls higher.

    Sigurd looked around, wondering where he was. He heard the Elf Templar talking to the Goddess. Apparently she was the one responsible for saving them. But despite being a religious man, Sigurd found it hard to believe they weren’t dead. He didn’t care much about the other gods. Of course he had heard about Lumabella, the Goddess of Light, but why would she save him? He didn’t pray to her. “If I’m not dead, I must be dreaming. Or I went completely nuts.” He sighed before falling on his back again. Oh Goddess Aelia, why am I not with you? Aren’t I worthy enough? He wondered while looking at the panicking Ranger.

    For which roles exactly do you want to apply those restrictions? Is it just hero / champion / team boss or also E4 and team admins? If it’s just the first 3, I would vote heavy restrictions. But if there are more roles restricted it wouldn’t leave many options for inexperienced people (like me). I don’t think anyone would like to be a Grunt who always loses / sidekick that doesn’t battle much. Not that I would mind having a character like Brock

    "Agreed,' Lionel said as he walked over to Crush. The turtle didn't seem happy about the draw. "I know you like to win, but you can't win them all. Besides, this was a practice battle. You weren't supposed to knock each other out." Logan took the grumpy turtle in his arms and walked toward Lionel. "Good battle. Your Buddy is pretty good at taking hits. Our attacks didn't do much damage at all."

    "Crush, hide in your shell again!" Logan said, but this time Crush reacted slower and took both attacks full on.The turtle got back up but was panting heavily. I have to end this. Crush is almost out of stamina. "Use water gun!"

    Crush easily dodged the slow tackle. “Nice one, now get behind Buddy and hit him with another tackle!” As long as we can face them in close combat, we won’t lose. Just watch out for that eye-attack.

    “Crush, hide in your shell!” Crush landed on its shell, which took most of the impact from being thrown away. “Do you have any other attacks?” Logan asked. Crush shook its head. Damn, we need close combat since water gun isn’t doing anything. But how do we get closer? “Use water gun at Buddy’s eyes and then hit it with a tackle!” The water gun hit Slowpoke in the eyes. “Now, tackle!” Crush charged at his opponent again. Logan hoped that this time his plan would work.
