  1. OH. That explains everything. I didn't see it mention that at all there. That's honestly too bad because Tailwind lasts for 8 damn turns. The change to Cloud Nine seems kind of trivial with that considered...
  2. That's the thing, on the rejuvenation wiki it says that on this field specifically Cloud Nine is supposed to remove weather effects entirely instead. It works differently on this field according to other topics here in the forum, as well as on the Sky Field page of the wiki, so I was and still am confused as to whether that was a thing at all, or if they changed it V13.
  3. So I'm dealing with Souta's gym, V13. He's a doozy, for sure, and the first thing I of course did after getting trounced the first time was have a looksee at what his field does. And it says here the Open Sky field makes it so Cloud Nine terminates weather, rather than just nulling it out while the mon is there to actively stamp it out - but my Drampa has been with me since good ol' Mount Moody, and his Cloud Nine doesn't actually collapse the strong winds weather that Souta's fight has, just keeps it off my back while Drampa's alive. There are even strats on this site in other threads saying that Cloud Nine is something I should be relying on since it's supposed to work differently on this field. Am I missing something? Was that something they changed?
  4. I recently snatched up Rejuvenation on the side from here on a whim. I played Reborn ages ago, and returning to the site to find an all-new, MASSIVE game waiting was the greatest Christmas present of all time. So essentially, I do a lot of DMing for D&D groups off of reddit, and I've hosted roleplay servers on discord for Pokemon before, as well, and ultimately came to a conclusion that with some effort I could maybe throw something together for a campaign that hit the same beats as Reborn & Rejuv. The problem was, I wasn't quite a fan of the existing PTU and PO tabletop systems. What I'm up to, and what I'm also recruiting for at the moment, is for players, spectators, and just general interested parties in playing or discussing a system that utilizes Pokemon Showdown as part of the campaign's action economy in combat. There's of course a lot more to it - I've been slapping together mechanics, classes, skills, and generally making a ramshackle system akin to 5e in some ways to incorporate this idea. There's plenty of dice rolling and activity for players to do aside from loading up Showdown to grind Audinos. The setting I built for testing this in also has a rich history, characters, a plotline, and above all - it's explorable. It's fully mapped out, and about 40% of it has been precisely statted out for what kinds of Pokemon appear around there and what level they are. I'm just seeking folks that are curious about it, really! The reddit post that contains the blurb for selling the idea both as a game and an experiment is right here if you're interested. It's got a little google form attached to it for players signing up, too. That aside, do you guys think this is a good idea? Have you felt the need to create your own Pokemon regions before? Do you think Pokemon is doomed to fail as a TTRPG?
  5. I don't even use my computer for much, so forums are new to me in general... How do I get the money for the sprite maker in the first place is what's on my noggin. I got 25 bucks for seemingly nothing. i'm confused and a little scared.
