  1. Ash has no mega item or megastone so it's not happening even in a joke scenario, but wellp. Trust the anime to make even something like Unfezant "good" Meanwhile, 2 upcoming episode titles revealed Seems that regardless of whether team Flehhhd interrupts the conclusion of the final or not, there won't be a ceremony for the winner
  2. It's mostly because of the rumor that he only trained his zard, but that's not a confirmed thing so I hope it won't be that bad. And yeah, no1 likes unfezant, I'm not sure why that bird of all birds..
  3. So the ep is out (and it was filler with a lot of talking ) But onto the preview of the final battle start
  4. Well, I see it as being on the verge of tears, not already crying. I mean usually when their eyes get all watery with more white circles in them, it indicates they feel like crying, and Shouta was pretty panicked at that point I guess, but yeah, that was weird lighting
  5. Shouta really looks so sad, poor fella had the conviction but he ended up panicking in the face of uberfrog. Usually when a person loses 4 times in a row to some1, they let them win in the end. Too bad that plotarmor logic only works when it's Ash losing to his rivals every time. Poor Shouta though, I really think he deserved to win more, despite Ash being the mc Imean, look at the frog, it's not even bruised (they show both it and ash on their asses when frog reverts back to normal but it still hardly looks injured) .. Also, Slurpuff's moveset is dazzling gleam, which had a seriously op animation (Goodra ate one), Fairy Wind- Yousei no kaze (goodra ate 2 of those and then slurpuff used a 3rd one to try countering the 2nd bide) , Flamethrower (Goodra ate a continuous one and the other 2 got "countered" by ice beam... ) and Cotton Guard (slurpuff used once to negate the 1st bide and apparently in the anime, that +3 defense didn't stick) . Goodra might be a special tank but if they suddenly care about whether Pokemon are tanks or glass, Salamence should have outlasted the glasscannon noivern and pikachu should have been brutally demolished by attack stance aegislash's 2 head on hits+ its dmg from the clawitzer fight (And if Aegislash can get 1shot by a tbolt then pikachu should get 1shot by stuff too, with its 40 base defenses) And yeah, it's sad that the anime isn't consistent in secondary effects of moves or even overall effects of moves (no switch after dragon tail, no recharge from frenzy plant, no sticking effects from cotton guard and so on).. they also often forget abilities of pokemon, these things go for both Ash and the people he fights, but abilities and secondary effects are what make fights more interesting to watch as opposed to a trade of brute force. Imagine if they'd combine the current level of animation with sinnoh-lvl fights, that'd be the highest point of pokemon battles. P.S. Is anyone else disappointed that they made Mega sceptile so...static? I honestly imagined a super high-speed fight between them since Megasceptile is emphasized by very high speed, and yet they hardly made it move. It didn't even try to dodge things, it just tried to not let the frog get close, all the while they didn't stop showing "how fast" the frog is. That's pretty sad for a 145 base speed mega evo
  6. I want Ash to win a league (He won the orange islands anyway), but I want him to win a league without plotarmor and excessive bs. Sinnoh is the one league he was competent enough to, and deserved to win. But then they pulled that random Tobias guy there and blew it. If you think disliking the uber anime-invented-moves frog bs is just me alone being grouchy, wellp, so be it. I sure as hell am not alone in thinking Ash's team is winning 1v1 fights in ways that should have played out differently without the plotarmor+rushing. It was also statistically said that japanese fans overall dislike the XY&Z season, so if unequivocally fan favorite means in the west, sure. Even then, many people prefer Sinnoh to this. The only thing standing out here is the animation, which naturally comes with digital advancement. But anyways, Team Flare is not going to openly attack until their episode, most likely because Lysandre is only getting introduced to Ash in the next ep, then they'll probably plot what to do and when to move. And the ep title of "Kalos Victory" indicates that a verdict will be reached before they attack, so I'm gonna bet on them attacking during the award ceremony or something of the like
  7. How exactly is that good news? Or well, I suppose it's good news to some. Personally, I don't think he deserves to win at this point, with the amount of bs they're pulling out for Ash to win his fights. And it's not even that things were suspended in the air, it's that they were suspended in the air for the entire duration of that fight, as if merely to serve for bs. That frog hardly seemed to have broken a sweat after that fight vs megatile, and yet even though the only hits either of them took were aerial ace and leafstorm respectively, megatile died to a single water hit. I don't like rushed plotarmor battles at all. I wish Ash would have fights that he actually deserves to win, like the Sinnoh league ones. But anyway, the chances of Ash winning the Kalos league have always been over 50% what with the "Kalos victory!" title, the fact Ash has never won vs Alain before, even though he might've if he hadn't collpased, and the fact that he's pulling out giant orange doughnut. Also the fact that Alain has seemingly "lost his way" and become obsessed with proving he's stronger. How plots usually go is that those chars need to lose a fight to "get back to reality". As sad as that is gonna be, chances of Ash winning via plotarmor bs are already around 80%. IF y'all are content with seeing the mc win in these ways, then wellp, enjoy I guess, but I'd rather watch sinnoh-quality battles even if the mc loses Just my 2cents
  8. natural selection? No but really, you dont need to be glued to a pokestop to take its rewards..and I'm sure there are ways to stay out of danger-range in that place. And if you're that careless to end up walking infront of people shooting, wellp. Imean, the pokestop is a church/random statue or monument/weird grafitti usually, so I doubt they even know it's a shooting range at the site (moreover stops are copied from ingress, maybe the shooting range didn't exist back then )
  9. I expect them to retire him after Kalos xD Seriously. Tis the time for change <.< .. probably won't happen but doesn't hurt to hope. I also won't be watching the anime anymore if they don't retire him as a mainchar, cause I'm bored of watching him win via gimmicks and bullsh*t and invented anime stuff
  10. And that's one reason I dislike the anime. It only matters if it's his opponent on the receiving end
  11. I am too, tbh. Spark looks cool. But you can't change teams unfortunately. Maybe in the far future
  12. This right here. I dare say they are at a point where they'd be a disappointment if they got any more nerfed
  13. Apparently the artwork of the team leaders has been revealed. I have 1 question though... is Blanche a girl?
  14. Well at this point, he always wins that way. And what's sad is that mega sceptile resists water 4x <.<
  15. Looks like an interesting project, are there any screenshots or sneak-previews of some characters maybe?
  16. Yeah, it's either gonna be a wintrade between Ash and Shota until they're left with Megatile and Frog or Megatile is gonna solo Ash's remaining pokemon since there's a high chance his Goodra wins against slurpuff and possibly might finish off salamence if bat loses. And then mega sceptile can finish off goodra, shut down pikachu's electricity with lightningrod to show it off again and beat everything down to the frog. Then it will proceed to lose to frog, sending Ash tot he finals. That's just my prediction, or well one of the possible ones. The other is as I said, wintrade
  17. I believe that varies depending on where you are. Things here mostly belong to mystic. Needless to say, the fight is 95% of the time between valor and mystic, instinct is near non-existent where I am
  18. Quilava ( i like typh but quilava <3) Bunnelby ( why..?) Braixen (again.. gamefreak why?) Snivy ( i like serperior but servine, not so much) Dewott ( I like it better than samurai otter or 1shell otter) Combusken ( :| ) Wartortle ( I don't like how blastoise turned out) Ivysaur ( I dont like the blobby pancake that is venusaur) Sneasel ( I love weavile too but special love for sneasel) Glameow (seriously, poor cat) Chikorita (sry, no love for bayleef or meganium) Erebu ( I like electabuzz more than electivire) Buizel (floatzel just looks like a bigger buizel) Makuhita ( I mean..) Goomy ( I hate barney the dinosaur) Amaura ( not that aurorus is bad but Amaura is <3 ) Shroomish ( special love for the mish ) Pichu ( because Raichu is not an option. But I like anything more than pikachu ) Cubone( marowak is cool but can't compare to cubone) Dragonair ( because dragonite's face looks anything but threatening) Chinchou ( I like lanturn but chinchou more) Natu ( xatu is weird) Cubchoo and Pancham over their evos Lombre ( i dont like ludicolo) Kirlia ( contrary to popular opinions, I'm not a super fan of gardevoir) Piplup over its evos Bidoof ( I mean... uh..) Croagunk over toxicroak Every elemental monkey over its evo Krokorok (krookodile is cool but i like the color scheme and overall design of krokorok more) Chespin (poor thing) Litleo ( not a pyroar fan,the face is..ehh) Skiddo over gogoat
  19. There was something about there being a recess when one trainer loses 3 of their pokemon and is outnumbered or something, people say like the johto league where the field changes when that happens, and Shouta loses 3, so if this is true for the Kalos league, I expect what Aegislash did was exclusively to stop Pikachu (and as seen by the preview, it doesn't help because you can see on the battle board that Shouta lost his sword while Pikachu got switched out and is still fit for battle) Whether or not Pikachu gets switched out normally or due to the recess is unknown, but either way, I am positive that they are allowed to switch. Believe me, I wanna think otherwise as well, but in previous fights, Tierno switched out Raichu when it got hit by attract and so on, so they're allowed. I don't think there's been a league where they aren't allowed to switch, so you can simply be disappointed that both of them forgot that the concept exists. I did not like the fact that this battle is as rushed as can get. They're going to squeeze in a 3v4 in a 20min episode next time and that will mean that either everything up till Megatile vs Frog will be rushed and boring, or that there will be very little time left for Megatile vs Frog ( or 3rd option: leave it an obvious cliffhanger and finish the fight in the episode after that) As for the abilities, they're actually used a bunch of times, there has been static, flame body, blaze, rock head , snow cloak.... (funny all of that is in Sinnoh, I have no memory of anything about BW except that the league was bad) In Kalos we saw snow warning and ice body during the fight vs Wulfric, Idon't recall other gym leaders but it's apparently a common-ish thing to show them. Aeglislash will also have stance change shown, crab had mega launcher and so on
  20. After seeing this ep Oh yea, to answer your question: No, it will most definitely never reach the quality and intensity that was every battle Ash ever had vs Paul. That league fight was mad. Both of them utilized (albeit sometimes anime-invented) strategy, switched where they should have switched, it lasted 3 full episodes and the only reason you weren't asking yourself who'd win was because you already know that Ash has to beat his rivals . Meanwhile in the Kalos league, random attack exchange until something faints for the most part, not on Shouta's part but yeah.. that's just my opinion tho
  21. this is coming along quite nicely
