Praise The Sun... and Moon - Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon
Masquerain replied to Godot's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
I think the only bug ground so far is nincada..like the only bug water is surskit.. Those type combos really need another representative I'm really not sure what kind of beetle they'd go with at this point since they more or less have 1 for all the..famous ones -

On that basis, I'm hoping there's another rival indeed. And I'm merely thinking about my disappointment if Hau turns out to be only one.... since he's lame -

That was more like my own personal remark on the feature.. I wish to be able to turn it off, because it takes away the element of utilizing your brain activity in remembering the type chart, also eliminates chances of messing up and using a move you thought would be SE, but wasnt. In that regard, You know... whatever adds "challenge" to a battle and stuff..I view it as handholding or rather, a brainpower-hindering feature. I won't have much issues with it since I remember my type chart either way, but it's going to be meh if I can't turn it off.. For the rivals...well so far in every game, we meet our future rivals rather early on in the game. It doesn't have to be always at the very start, but close enough.. If Hau is the only one, though.. that would kinda mean that they decided it's too hard for kids to have a rival that picks a starter countering yours ) ..... Geez, that sounds even lamer .. Ugh, let's hope we simply haven't met everyone yet.. we did hardly see any actual part of the story Yeah, that's quite cool, I mean if you have skill link, you'll also have the moves to utilize it with.. I hope. But if Rowlet is already grass/flying, it'd be kinda weird to have 2 pokemon that are birds and have the same typing... Maybe it will stay a boring normal/flying.. Hope not. -

Normal: Nature Power/Metronome- I just have a lot of fun using either of these. Fighting: Aura Sphere and Hammer Arm - cool animation and memories of monster bear for hammer arm Fire: Heat Wave Water: Scald because. Scald. Burn. Grass: Power Whip and Energy Ball Electric: Discharge Flying: Oblivion Wing. Awesome animation and effects..and Yveltal. Ground: Earthquake and Earth Power because cool concepts Rock: Rock Slide. Useful and annoying Steel: Iron Tail for nostalgia reasons Psychic: Psyshock and Psycho Cut. Cool move with cool animation/cool move with cool name that Absol can learn Fairy: Draining Kiss.. There aren't that many fairy moves and this one is the coolest for me. Ghost: Ominous Wind and Phantom Force cause cool concepts and animations Dark: Night Slash and Knock Off Bug: X-Scissor and Silver Wind Ice: Sheer Cold (used to really like name of this and it just stuck. I never use it but, the concept of it was always my favorite) Other than that, Freeze-dry and icicle crash Dragon: Dragon Rush Poison: Poison Jab and Cross Poison 'cause memories and name -

Tfw I ended up getting spoiled again.. I guess everything is dangerous on the interwebz But anyway, may as well just give my 2 cents on E3 Customization confirmed \o/ Goodbye chicken hat. I hope there's hairstyle customization too though.. To think they managed to find a new way to hold our hands throughout our adventure... Commendable... I hope you can turn off that crap feature that tells you whether moves are NVE or SE. Everything else is optional as it seems. Overall cool battle UI though. It even tells you what button to press in order to pick up an item.. I hope that's only part of some tutorial phase.. They also let you know in advance if a trainer is actually a trainer waiting to battle you... Come on... sigh .. I still can't get over my disappointment of the fact trainers in the background are soulless hollow shells of a body. At least the pokemon look more alive. Speaking of pokemon.. new pokemanz: The WIP bird which indeed turned out to be a woodpecker. I quite like that one. I wonder what it will eventually evolve into since it evolves twice.. It can't stay a woodpecker ...can it? Also it's mentioned to hurl seeds .. wonder if that hints to another grass/flying in the future? I imagine at the very least it's gonna learn bullet seed. Yungoos- the Donald Trump pokeman. Really though that patch of fur on its head... can't unsee anymore. I can't stand those teeth though.. I hope its evolution remedies that part of the pokemon. It seems to have a cool new ability at least. Its background info indicates that it's not native to Alola and was brought in to deal with overpopulation of another pokemon. (Much like mongoose in Hawaii was brought in to deal with field mice overpopulation but in the end both animals ended up overpopulating due to one being nocturnal and the other being diurnal and ...more or less missing each other) I suppose this is just a baseless dex entry and they won't do much about it since Corphish was also claimed to not be native to Hoenn but they never did sh*t with that. Needless to say, yet another dex entry implying this pokemon was brought here to murder another species of pokemon. Woop o/ Grubbin- its background info is kind of split and can hint towards a future bug/ground or bug/electric evo... At this point I'm not sure which one they'd go for since both seem to be evenly emphasized.. We did not see this bug on route 1 so maybe it's not the "obligatory" 1st route bug of the region.. I mean we did have joltik in Unova as opposed to the earlier bugs and whatnot. Anyway, its name implies its going to be a beetle when it evolves. I'm kind of disappointed about that, I wanted another centipede. It could have been cool, but alas, a grub is mainly the larva of a future beetle, and "grubbing" is also another word for digging... That kind of again hints towards a ground typing but we'll see. Either way, ground/bug or ele/bug are better than the usual poisonbug or flyingbug. I'm not super fond of the design so far. Onto story/character stuff/map/etc All in all, after this E3, I see a lot of potential for Sun and Moon. At the very least, I believe they will be better than stuff like Kanto and Kalos, and at best, they can match Unova. Time will tell what the future has in store for us. I still fail to count more than 10 towns on this map, though.. so I really think we'll be going back to Kalos or ..have SOMETHING more than what we see. -

E3 was nice on the pokemon department. They did manage to introduce even more handholding into the games.... ... Sigh. Wellp. Pokemon that resembles donald trump, on his own birthday. Interesting I remember that waterway.. I also remember getting stuck there defied the laws of physics and such Maps be lookin nice tho -
Fire/Steel .. The first time I did the test, I had pure steel, but I guess the second time around, the fiery spirit pushed through as well

I'd prefer this to be the case, I always thought it would be, but the addition of Iwanko felt out of place, it being a random mon and all. We'll see soon As for those "leaks", personally I don't believe in them. They seem far too bizarre and this month has already been full of info, I don't believe E3 is gonna reveal much -

You bought clothes from boutiques in various cities. You had a default change of clothes in every pokemon center's changing room until you reach the first clothing store, but other than that, there was no indication of changing hairstyles or clothes until they revealed it officially after x months -

They don't^ It's always the same 4, we just see different forms using different moves. Snake form already had the 3 moves used by zygardog, the 4th just gets revealed by megazord I still find it incredibly useless if they'd make zygardog forced to go megazord as soon as its at low hp... What's the point of it existing? Let's not mention they skipped snake form for the transformation.. I hope there's more to this than the trailer shows. And moreover, I hope there's a significant point to zygarde in sm -

That's an improved music from xy imo.. And I guess zygardog really changes forms when in a pinch..that's lame as hell. What if someone just wants to use the zygardog form? -

I think if that footage hints to anything story-related for zygarde, it's a return to kalos during post-game But it also can mean nothing but a future distribution via event. They seem to use that canyon background for everything legend-related so -shrug- and yeah, I loathe that it's a megazord as well. But I suppose that's the "guardian of earth" .. -

All I can confirm is my disappointment reflected on my screen. This shows that the trainers visible in the background are really just gonna stand there as decoration, emotionless no matter what happens on the battlefield. That's horribly lame Other than that. Is Zygarde confirmed to be part of the game (i.e. we're going back to Kalos) or are they just hyping the fact that there will be a zygardog distribution somewhen and it will be compatible with sunmoon? We don't know that yet, but it doesn't 100% mean this footage will be part of SM's plot As for Zygardog, apparently it transforms into 100% form when in a pinch? What about 50% form? This looks badly thought-out if it's really the case. Or maybe Zygardog transforms by using its signature move ( apparently named Core Punisher) ? Apart from that, megazord form's beam forms the letter Z. That's kinda cool Overall, disappoint -

Yes we are... apparently nobody cares or does it. So there goes that.. I think I'll just stay away from this thread whenever new info is supposed to come out since nobody bothers to keep things in spoiler tags. But kudos to you, my friend, for being the lone one to have common courtesy! That said, since it's already spoiled. -

The aardwolf looks much like a hyena so I guess that may be a reason (other than the unfamiliar name) But this thread is full of wolf mentions Wouldnt mind that aardwolfie tho, it looks cool oh yeah, also wish this was real we totally need a pokemon based on lemurs -
What is your overall favorite type? And Why
Masquerain replied to LeMarkyNoob's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
I feel like this kind of topic has existed before but oh well I like many types, but my top 3 (in no particular order) are Fire, Dark and Poison I like the fierceness and burning destruction that fire embodies, and I feel sad not having seen a fire type I really like for a long while (well, there was the chandelier and Braixen and all but.. it's nothing super special that is among my favorite fire types) Favorite Fire pokemanz include Charmander evo line(mostly charmeleon and zard X) , Cyndaquil evo line, Houndoom Dark and Poison together are symbolic of edgyness. I like that, mostly. And well, it happens so that the biggest number of my favorite pokemon bear the dark type. There are very few dark type designs that I outright dislike. The poisons are a bit more of a wild card design-wise , but I do love the type and I'm sad it hardly has any strengths. I wish they'd give it at least one more type to be SE against. Favorite Dark pokemanz include Absol, Sneasel evo line, Honchkrow, Yveltal (and I do like many others) Favorite Poison pokemanz include Dragalge, Skuntank, Roserade and Scolipede (Special mentions to Drapion and Crobat) Other than those three types, I do find myself being fond of ghosts and electric types, sometimes grass and water as well What I can say is that I really don't like steel, fairy and rock types. Fighting type is a disliked-neutral type for me. (there are still pokemon of those types that I like but yeah, in general). Anything else is either among my liked, very liked, or favorite types -
Praise The Sun... and Moon - Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon
Masquerain replied to Godot's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Just saw it this morning... I have mixed feelings about it. I mean... From the moment the litten forehead= sulfur symbol thing appeared, I had started looking into the theme of alchemy for sunmoon and discovered myself many of the things I saw in vids later..so all in all, I do strongly believe sunmoon is going to be themed around alchemy. On the other hand, some of the things said in that theory seem too "big" for pokemon.. more like people expecting far too much from these games than will be the case. Not that it would not be incredible if they really make it all come together and have planned this for so long, but ... given the increasing hand-holding and story-telling laziness, I am really reluctant to raise my hopes that high. They are already quite high for my own standards and even that is making me feel like the fall will be hard after.. All in all, this theory sounds quite cool, and yet, quite.... what's the point of it all? What is the goal? All I really want for SM is a big enough place to explore (dem hardly-can-count-10 towns really don't give alola much shine in my eyes) , a story that is at least on par with the delta ep and, if I dare hope for that much, at least on par with BW/2, a decent at least dex and actual post-game. -
